ABSTRACT Background The aim of this study is to investigate the radiological features of primary pulmonary invasive mucinous adenocarcinoma (IMA) in a relatively large population to help improve its further understanding and its accuracy of initial diagnosis. Methods This retrospective study included consecutive patients with pathologically confirmed primary pulmonary IMA from January 2019 to December 2021. According to tumor morphology, IMAs were divided into regular nodule/mass, irregular, and large consolidative types. According to tumor density, IMAs were divided into solid, halo, part‐solid, pure ground‐glass, and cystic types. ANOVA, chi‐square, or Fisher exact tests were used to analyze the differences in radiological and clinicopathological characteristics of IMA according to morphological and density subtypes. Results We analyzed 312 patients. Pulmonary IMA tended to occur in the elderly, with a slightly higher number of women than men. IMA showed a predominance in the lower lobe and adjacent to pleura. IMA of regular nodule/mass, irregular, and large consolidative types accounted for 80.8% (252/312), 13.8% (43/312), and 5.4% (17/312), respectively. Solid, halo, part‐solid, pure ground‐glass, and cystic IMAs accounted for 55.8% (174/312), 28.2% (88/312), 11.2% (35/312), 1.3% (4/312), and 3.5% (11/312), respectively. The lobulated (76.9%), spiculated (63.5%), and air bronchogram (56.7%) signs were common in IMA. Dead branch sign (88.2%), angiogram sign (88.2%), and satellite nodules/skipping lesions (47.1%) were common in large‐consolidative‐type IMA. Kirsten rat sarcoma viral oncogene mutations were common (56.1%), whereas epidermal growth factor receptor mutations were relatively rare (2.3%). Conclusions Pulmonary IMA of regular nodule/mass type and solid type were the most common at the initial diagnosis. Detailed radiological features can aid in the differential diagnosis of IMA.

Abstract Deciphering cellular interactions is essential to both understand the mechanisms underlying a broad range of human diseases, but also to manipulate therapies targeting these diseases. Here, the formation of cell doublets resulting from specific membrane ligand‐receptor interactions is discovered. Based on this phenomenon, the study developed DoubletSeeker, a novel high‐throughput method for the reliable identification of ligand‐receptor interactions. The study shows that DoubletSeeker can accurately identify T cell receptor (TCR)‐antigen interactions with high sensitivity and specificity. Notably, DoubletSeeker effectively captured paired TCR‐peptide major histocompatibility complex (pMHC) information during a highly complex library‐on‐library screening and successfully identified three mutant TCRs that specifically recognize the MART‐1 epitope. In turn, DoubletSeeker can act as an antigen discovery platform that allows for the development of novel immunotherapy targets, making it valuable for investigating fundamental tumor immunology.

Abstract Background This study aimed to investigate the radiological, pathological, and prognostic characteristics of large consolidative‐type pulmonary invasive mucinous adenocarcinomas (IMA). Methods We retrospectively reviewed 738 patients who confirmed IMA between January 2010 and August 2022, and two radiologists reviewed imaging data to determine subtypes. We included 41 patients with pathologically large consolidative‐type IMA. We analyzed their radiological, pathological, and prognostic characteristics. The recurrence‐free survival (RFS) and overall survival (OS) were determined using the Kaplan–Meier method. Results Most lesions were located in the lower lobe, with 46.3% patients showing multiple lesions. Halo, angiogram, vacuole, air bronchogram, and dead branch sign were observed in 97.6%, 73.2%, 63.4%, 61.0%, and 61.0% of the cases, respectively. Unevenly low enhancement was observed in 88.89% of patients. T3 and T4 pathological stages were observed in 50.0% and 30.6% of patients, respectively. Lymph node metastasis was observed in 16.7% patients, with no distant metastasis. Spread‐through air spaces and intrapulmonary dissemination were observed in 27.8% and 19.4% patients, respectively. Moreover, Kirsten rat sarcoma viral oncogene mutations were found in 68.6% of cases, and no epidermal growth factor receptor mutations were seen. Among all mutation sites, G12V mutation is the most common, accounting for 40%. The average RFS and OS were 19.4 and 66.4 months, respectively, with 3‐year RFS and OS rates of 30.0% and 75.0%, respectively. Pleural invasion and lymph node metastasis were independent risk factors for diagnosis. Conclusion Halo, vacuole, angiogram, and dead branch signs were frequently observed in consolidative‐type IMA. Kirsten rat sarcoma viral oncogene mutations are common in consolidative‐type IMA, especially site G12V, whereas epidermal growth factor receptor mutations were rare; therefore, gene immunotherapy was more difficult. Most patients were in stage T3–T4; however, lymph node metastasis was rare.

Abstract Background In China, over 50% of lung cancer cases occur in nonsmokers. Thus, identifying high‐risk individuals for targeted lung cancer screening is crucial. Beyond age and smoking, determining other risk factors for lung cancer in the Asian population has become a focal point of research. Using 30,000 participants in the prospectively enrolled cohort at China's National Cancer Center (NCC) over the past 14 years, we categorized participants by risk, with an emphasis on nonsmoking females. Materials and Methods Between November 2005 and December 2019, 31,431 individuals voluntarily underwent low‐dose computed tomography (LDCT) scans for lung cancer screening at the NCC. We recorded details like smoking history, exposure to hazards, and family history of malignant tumors. Using the 2019 NCCN criteria, participants were categorized into high‐, moderate‐, and low‐risk groups. Additionally, we separated non‐high‐risk groups into female never smokers (aged over 40) exposed to second‐hand smoke (SHS) and others. Any positive results from initial scans were monitored per the I‐ELCAP protocol (2006), and suspected malignancies were addressed through collaborative decisions between patients and physicians. We analyzed and compared the detection rates of positive results, confirmed lung cancers, and cancer stages across risk, age, and gender groups. Results Out of 31,431 participants (55.9% male, 44.1% female), 3695 (11.8%) showed positive baseline LDCT scans with 197 (0.6%; 106 females, 91 males) confirmed as lung cancer cases pathologically. Malignancy rate by age was 0.1% among those aged under 40 years, 0.4% among those aged 40–49 years, 0.8% among those aged 50–59 years, and 1.2% among those aged 60 years and older. From the 25,763 participants (56.9% male, 43.1% female) who completed questionnaires, 1877 (7.3%) were categorized as high risk, 6500 (25.2%) as moderate risk, and 17,386 (67.5%) as low risk. Of the 23,886 in the non‐high‐risk category, 8041 (33.7%) were females over 40 years old exposed to SHS. The high‐risk group showed the highest lung cancer detection rate at 1.4%. Abstract The profile of antibodies against antigenic epitopes of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2) during neutralizing antibody (NAb) decay has not been clarified. Using a SARS‐CoV‐2 proteome microarray that contained viral antigenic peptides, we analyzed the characteristics of the humoral response in patients with coronavirus disease 19 (COVID‐19) in a longitudinal study. A total of 89 patients were recruited, and 226 plasma samples were serially collected in 2020. In the antigenic peptide microarray, the level of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies against peptides within the S2 subunit (S‐82) and a conserved gene region in variants of interest, open reading frame protein 10 (ORF10‐3), were closely associated with the presence of SARS‐CoV‐2 NAbs. In an independent evaluation cohort of 232 plasma samples collected from 116 COVID‐19 cases in 2020, S82‐IgG titers were higher in NAbs‐positive samples (p = 0.002) than in NAbs‐negative samples using enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay. We further collected 66 plasma samples from another cohort infected by Omicron BA.1 virus in 2022. Compared with the samples with lower S82‐IgG titers, NAb titers were significantly higher in the samples with higher S82‐IgG titers (p = 0.04). Our findings provide insights into the understanding of the decay‐associated signatures of SARS‐CoV‐2 NAbs.

Abstract Background Cervical lymphangioma usually occurs in children and is relatively rare in adults. The purpose of this study was to investigate the characteristics of cervical lymphangiomas in adults. Methods We retrospectively reviewed the medical records and analyzed clinical data obtained from seven adult patients who suffered from cervical lymphangioma from January 2008 to June 2021. Results Five (71.43%) of seven cases were asymptomatic and four (57.14%) lymphangiomas had a maximum diameter ≥ 10 cm. Each cervical lymphangioma was located adjacent to the carotid sheath. All the cervical lymphangiomas were completely surgically excised and were pathologically diagnosed as cystic lymphangioma. After a median 32 months follow‐up period, no recurrence was observed. Conclusion Cervical lymphangiomas from adults are often large asymptomatic masses infiltrating or adjacent to surrounding vital structures which brings many difficulties to the surgery, requiring an experienced surgeon to remove the mass.

Abstract Functional additives have recently been regarded as emerging candidates to improve the performance and stability of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Herein, nicotinamide (N), 2‐chloronicotinamide (2Cl), and 6‐chloronicotinamide (6Cl) were employed as O‐ligands to facilitate the deposition of MAPbI3 (MA = methylammonium) and MA‐free FA0.88Cs0.12PbI2.64Br0.36 (FA = formamidinium) perovskite films by multifunctional anchoring. By density functional theory (DFT) calculations and ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS) measurements, it is identified that the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) level for additive modified MAPbI3 perovskite could reduce the voltage deficit for hole extraction. Moreover, due to the most favorable charge distribution and significant improvements in charge mobility and defect passivation, the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 2Cl‐MAPbI3 PSCs was significantly improved from 19.32% to 21.12%. More importantly, the two‐dimensional grazing‐incidence wide‐angle X‐ray scattering (GIWAXS) analysis showed that PbI2 defects were effectively suppressed and femtosecond transient absorption (TA) spectroscopy demonstrated that the trap‐assisted recombination at grain boundaries was effectively inhibited in the 2Cl‐MA‐free film. As a result, the thermally stable 2Cl‐MA‐free PSCs achieved a remarkable PCE of 23.13% with an open‐circuit voltage (Voc) of 1.164 V and an ultrahigh fill factor (FF) of 85.7%. Our work offers a practical strategy for further commercializing stable and efficient PSCs.

Background. Arising from T progenitor cells, T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) is an aggressive hematologic malignant tumor, accounting for 15% of childhood ALL and 25% of adult ALL. Composing of putative enhancers in close genomic proximity, super enhancer (SE) is critical for cell identity and the pathogenesis of multiple cancers. Belonging to the cytosolute linker protein group, FYB1 is essential for TCR signaling and extensively studied in terms of tumor pathogenesis and metastasis. Dissecting the role of FYN binding protein 1 (FYB1) in T-ALL holds the potential to improve the treatment outcome and prognosis of T-ALL. Methods. In this study, SEs were explored using public H3K27ac ChIP-seq data derived from T-ALL cell lines, AML cell lines and hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs). Downstream target of FYB1 gene was identified by RNA-seq. Effects of shRNA-mediated downregulation of FYB1 and immunoglobulin lambda-like polypeptide 1 (IGLL1) on self-renewal of T-ALL cells were evaluated in vitro and/or in vivo. Results. As an SE-driven gene, overexpression of FYB1 was observed in T-ALL, according to the Cancer Cell Line Encyclopedia database. In vitro, knocking down FYB1 led to comprised growth and enhanced apoptosis of T-ALL cells. In vivo, downregulation of FYB1 significantly decreased the disease burden by suppressing tumor growth and improved survival rate. Knocking down FYB1 resulted in significantly decreased expression of IGLL1 that was also an SE-driven gene in T-ALL. As a downstream target of FYB1, IGLL1 exerted similar role as FYB1 in inhibiting growth of T-ALL cells. Conclusion. Our results suggested that FYB1 gene played important role in regulating self-renewal of T-ALL cells by activating IGLL1, representing a promising therapeutic target for T-ALL patients.

Background. Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is the most prevalent malignant tumor of the lung cancer, for which the molecular mechanisms remain unknown. In this study, we identified novel biomarkers associated with the pathogenesis of NSCLC aiming to provide new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for NSCLC by bioinformatics analysis. Methods. From the Gene Expression Omnibus database, GSE118370 and GSE10072 microarray datasets were obtained. Identifying the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between lung adenocarcinoma and normal samples was done. By using bioinformatics tools, a protein-protein interaction (PPI) network was constructed, modules were analyzed, and enrichment analyses were performed. The expression and prognostic values of 14 hub genes were validated by the GEPIA database, and the correlation between hub genes and survival in lung adenocarcinoma was assessed by UALCAN, cBioPortal, String and Cytoscape, and Timer tools. Results. We found three genes (PIK3R1, SPP1, and PECAM1) that have a clear correlation with OS in the lung adenocarcinoma patient. Abstract Histone deacetylases (HDAC) family is vital for tumorigenesis and tumor progression. However, the exact role of the HDAC family in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) remains unclear. Based on The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), International Cancer Genome Consortium (ICGC), and The Human Protein Atlas (HPA) database, we investigated and validated the expression profile, clinical significance and prognostic value of HDAC family members in ccRCC. Moreover, we further explored the correlation between HDACs and tumor microenvironment, tumor stemness, drug activity and immune subtype. The HDAC8, HDAC10, and HDAC11 manifested potential clinical value for prognosis, and the correlation analyses reveals underlying molecular mechanisms, which deserve further investigation for ccRCC. This Integrated bioinformatics analysis, based on transcriptomics and proteomics, implied that HDAC8, HDAC10, and HDAC11 may serve as potential molecular biomarkers and therapeutic targets for ccRCC, but some underlying molecular mechanisms still need to be elucidated.

Abstract Sonodynamic therapy (SDT) typically suffers from compromised anticancer efficacy owing to the low reactive oxygen species (ROS) yield and complicated tumor microenvironment (TME) which can consume ROS and support the occurrence and development of tumors. Herein, ultrathin‐FeOOH‐coated MnO2 nanospheres (denoted as MO@FHO) as sonosensitizers which can not only facilitate ultrasound (US)‐triggered ROS but also tune the TME by hypoxia alleviation, H2O2 consumption as well as glutathione (GSH) depletion are designed. The FeOOH coating will boost the production yield of singlet oxygen (1O2) and hydroxyl radicals (•OH) by inhibiting the recombination of US‐initiated electron–hole pairs and Fenton‐like reaction, respectively. Additionally, the catalase‐like and GSH peroxidase‐like activities of MO@FHO nanospheres enable them to break the TME equilibrium via hypoxia alleviation and GSH depletion. The combination of high ROS yield and fundamental destruction of TME equilibrium results in satisfactory antitumor outcomes, as demonstrated by the high tumor suppression efficacy of MO@FHO on MDA‐MB‐231‐tumor‐bearing mice. No obvious toxicity is detected to normal tissues at therapeutic doses in vivo. The capability to modulate the ROS production and TME simultaneously can afford new probability for the development of advanced sonosensitizers for synergistic comprehensive cancer therapy.

Abstract The intrinsic phase instability of CsPbI2Br perovskite hinders its development and application in solar cells. Herein, we adopt 1‐butyl‐3‐methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate (BMIMPF6), a hydrophobic ionic liquid (IL), to improve the phase stability of CsPbI2Br. Density functional theory calculation reveals that the formation energy of CsPbI2Br with BMIMPF6 is reduced, thereby restraining the [PbX6]4− octahedral tilting. The reduced structural distortion and relaxed lattice strain result in improved phase stability of CsPbI2Br. In addition, the interfacial dipole moment increases after introducing BMIMPF6, which facilitates the charge transfer. Consequently, the CsPbI2Br solar cells with BMIMPF6 deliver a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 16.2% along with excellent stability. The unencapsulated devices with BMIMPF6 maintain 98.9%, 88.6%, and 99.5% of the initial PCEs after 1200 h storage in N2, 1000 h storage in air (30% relative humidity), and 200 thermal cycles (25–100°C), respectively.

Background. AML (acute myeloid leukemia) is a common hematological malignancy in children with poor treatment effects and poor prognosis. Recent studies have shown that as a novel BRD4 (bromodomain containing 4) PROTACs (proteolysis targeting chimeras) degrader, GNE-987 can slow down the growth of various tumors and increase apoptosis, with promising clinical prospects. However, the function and molecular mechanism of GNE-987 in AML remain unclear. This study is aimed at investigating the therapeutic effect of GNE-987 on AML and its underlying mechanism. Methods. The association between BRD4 and AML was assessed by studying public databases. After GNE-987 was added to AML cells, cell proliferation slowed down, the cycle was disturbed, and apoptosis increased. Western blotting was used to detect BRD2 (bromodomain containing 2), BRD3 (bromodomain containing 3), BRD4, and PARP (poly ADP-ribose polymerase) proteins. The effect of GNE-987 on AML cells was analyzed in vivo. RNA-seq (RNA sequencing) and ChIP-seq (chromatin immunoprecipitation sequencing) validated the function and molecular pathways of GNE-987 in processing AML. Results. BRD4 expression was significantly elevated in pediatric AML samples compared with healthy donors. GNE-987 inhibited AML cell proliferation by inhibiting the cell cycle and inducing apoptosis. BRD2, BRD3, and BRD4 were consistent with decreased VHL (Von Hippel Lindau) expression in AML cells. In an AML xenograft model, GNE-987 significantly reduced the hepatosplenic infiltration of leukemia cells and increased the mouse survival time. Based on analysis of RNA-seq and ChIP-seq analyses, GNE-987 could target multiple SE- (super-enhancer-) related genes, including LYL1 (lymphoblastic leukemia 1), to inhibit AML. Conclusions. GNE-987 had strong antitumor activity in AML. GNE-987 could effectively inhibit the expression of SE-related oncogenes including LYL1 in AML. Our results suggested that GNE-987 had broad prospects in the treatment of AML.

Abstract Background Since December 2019, an outbreak of the Corona Virus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS‐CoV‐2) in Wuhan, China, has become a public health emergency of international concern. The high fatality of aged cases caused by SARS‐CoV‐2 was a need to explore the possible age‐related phenomena with non‐human primate models. Methods Three 3‐5 years old and two 15 years old rhesus macaques were intratracheally infected with SARS‐CoV‐2, and then analyzed by clinical signs, viral replication, chest X‐ray, histopathological changes and immune response. Results Viral replication of nasopharyngeal swabs, anal swabs and lung in old monkeys was more active than that in young monkeys for 14 days after SARS‐CoV‐2 challenge. Monkeys developed typical interstitial pneumonia characterized by thickened alveolar septum accompanied with inflammation and edema, notably, old monkeys exhibited diffuse severe interstitial pneumonia. Viral antigens were detected mainly in alveolar epithelial cells and macrophages. Conclusion SARS‐CoV‐2 caused more severe interstitial pneumonia in old monkeys than that in young monkeys. Rhesus macaque models infected with SARS‐CoV‐2 provided insight into the pathogenic mechanism and facilitated the development of vaccines and therapeutics against SARS‐CoV‐2 infection.

Postoperative cognitive dysfunction is a common complication in elderly patients after surgeries involving anesthesia, but the underlying mechanisms are poorly understood. Lithium is a conventional treatment for bipolar disorder, which exerts a neuroprotective role in various diseases by inhibiting glycogen synthase kinase‐3β (GSK‐3β) in the brain and spinal cord. However, it is not known whether lithium chloride (LiCl) can protect against cognitive dysfunction induced by sevoflurane (SEV) anesthesia. Here, we examined the effects of LiCl on SEV‐induced cognitive dysfunction in rats and on SEV‐induced neuron apoptosis. We report that anesthesia with SEV significantly impaired memory performance, induced oxidative stress and hippocampal neuron apoptosis, and stimulated GSK‐3β activity. Treatment with LiCl ameliorated SEV‐induced cognitive disorder in rats by inhibiting the GSK‐3β/β‐catenin signaling pathway. In addition, LiCl reduced hippocampal neuron apoptosis and oxidative stress induced by SEV anesthesia. These results suggest that LiCl may have potential for development into a therapeutic agent for treatment of SEV anesthesia‐induced cognitive dysfunction.

Abstract Knowledge of food resource partitioning among sympatric fish species is crucial for understanding the potential mechanisms of species coexistence. Gudgeons (Teleostei: Cyprinidae: Gobioninae) often dominate fish assemblages in the upper Yangtze River. However, little research has been conducted on their trophic interactions. In this paper, seasonal diet and feeding strategy variations of four sympatric gudgeon species, Coreius guichenoti, Coreius heterodon, Rhinogobio ventralis, and Rhinogobio cylindricus, were investigated by analysis of intestinal tract contents, aiming to explore whether food resource partitioning occurred among them. Fish specimens were collected during spring (April–May) and autumn (August–October) in 2010 in Hejiang, a free‐flowing stretch of the upper Yangtze River. Coreius guichenoti, C. heterodon, and R. cylindricus showed omnivorous feeding habits, while R. ventralis exhibited an obligate carnivore feeding habit. Diet overlap among the four studied species was high, especially in spring. However, changes in feeding strategies were observed in autumn. Specifically, C. guichenoti and R. cylindricus expanded their dietary niche breadth and consumed detritus, Sinopotamidae or Hydropsychidae as important complementary food resources. In contrast, C. heterodon and R. ventralis reduced their dietary niche breadth and became more specialized on mussels (Limnoperna lacustris). These results confirmed that sympatric fish species can coexist with high diet overlap, and food resource partitioning among these species may also fluctuate with the seasons.

Abstract Background Famitinib is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor against multiple targets, including vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2/3, platelet-derived growth factor receptor, and stem cell factor receptor (c-kit). Previous studies have demonstrated anti-tumour activities of famitinib against a wide variety of advanced-stage solid cancers. We aimed to determine the safety and efficacy of famitinib with concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) in patients with locoregionally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). We also evaluated the feasibility of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (D-CEUS) as a predictor of early tumour response to famitinib and to correlate functional parameters with clinical efficacy. Methods The trial was conducted in subjects with stage III or IVa-b NPC using a 3 + 3 design of escalating famitinib doses. Briefly, subjects received 2 weeks of famitinib monotherapy followed by 7 weeks of famitinib plus CCRT. D-CEUS of the neck lymph nodes was performed at day 0, 8 and 15 after famitinib was administered before starting concurrent chemoradiotherapy. End points included safety, tolerability and anti-tumour activity. Results Twenty patients were enrolled (six each for 12.5, 16.5 and 20 mg and two for 25 mg). Two patients in the 25 mg cohort developed dose-limiting toxicities, including grade 4 thrombocytopenia and grade 3 hypertension. The most common grade 3/4 adverse events were leukopenia, neutropenia and radiation mucositis. D-CEUS tests showed that more than 60% of patients achieved a perfusion parameter response after 2 weeks taking famitinib alone, and the parameter response was associated with disease improvement. In the famitinib monotherapy stage, three patients (15%) showed partial responses. The complete response rate was 65% at the completion of treatment and 95% 3 months after the treatment ended. After a median follow-up of 44 months, the 3-year progression-free survival (PFS) and distant metastasis-free survival were 70% and 75%, respectively. A deuterium permeation barrier is an essential part in the core component of nuclear reactors. It can protect the structure made of steel from being penetrated by deuterium in a fusion reactor. However, residual stress induced in the operation would dramatically influence the mechanical endurance of the coating, threatening the safety of the facilities. In this paper, finite element analysis was conducted to investigate the residual stress in nanoscale Al2O3 and Y2O3 coatings and their composites under thermal shock, from 700°C to 25°C. The max principal stress is assumed as the cause of crack initiation in the coating, because ceramics are brittle and fragile under tensile stress. Max shear stress and max Mises stress in the systems are also analyzed, and the effect of thickness in the range 100 nm to 1000 nm was investigated. The max principal stress in Al2O3 coating reaches its maximum value, 1.33 GPa, when the thickness of coating reaches 450 nm. And the max principal stress decreases at a very low rate as the thickness increases exceeding 450 nm. The max principal stress in Y2O3 coating increases rapidly as the thickness increases when the thickness of the coating is below 250 nm, and the max principal stress is at about 0.9 GPa when the thickness exceeds 500 nm. The max principal stress in the Y2O3/Al2O3 (150 nm) composite coating occurs in the Al2O3 layer and shows no difference from the single layer of 150 nm thick Al2O3 coating. The max principal stress site of all three kinds of coating is located at the edge of the coating 25 nm away from the interface. The result shows that residual thermal stress in the coating increases as the thickness increases when the thickness of the coating is below 200 nm due to the stress singularity of the interface. And as the thickness exceeds 500 nm, the increase in thickness has little impact on the residual thermal stress in the coating. Coating an Y2O3 top layer will not introduce any more residual thermal stress under the thermal shock condition. The Y2O3 coating causes much less residual stress under thermal shock compared with Al2O3 owing to its much lower Young’s modulus. The max principal stress in the 300 nm thick Y2O3 coating is 0.85 GPa while that of the Al2O3 coating is 1.16 GPa. The max residual stress of the composite Y2O3/Al2O3 (150 nm) coating is determined by the Al2O3 layer.

The complex and heterogeneous pore structure and oil content of lacustrine shales introduce significant challenges in the exploration of shale petroleum systems. To further expand our geological understanding of lacustrine shales and provide guidance for hydrocarbon exploration, in this study, based on programmed and improved Rock-Eval pyrolysis, total organic content (TOC) measurements, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observations, and N2 adsorption (NA) experiments, a systematic evaluation of the mineral composition, geochemical features, pore structure, and oil contents of the third member of the Paleogene Shahejie Formation (Es3) shale in the typical lacustrine hydrocarbon enrichment sag (Nanpu Sag, Bohai Bay Basin) is conducted. The fractal theory is selected to quantify the pore system’s heterogeneity; also, the relationships between the pore structure parameters and the oil contents and mineral composition are revealed. Our results reveal the geochemical features of the Es3 shale are excellent, and thus, they can be classified as a set of high-quality source rocks (average TOC of 4.2%, mainly type II kerogen, and in the mature stage). Based on the SEM and NA analyses, the intercrystalline pores dominate the pore system. Moreover, the mesopores contribute the most specific surface area (SA) and pore volume (PV) to the samples (average contribution rates of 74.7 and 75.0%, respectively). The fractal dimensions have relatively strong positive correlations with PV and SA, which means more heterogeneous and complex pore structures provide more storage space and adsorption sites for shale oil accumulation. The clay mineral content is the most important factor which controls the pore structure parameter, and high clay content indicates high SA and PV. According to proposed numerical movable and adsorption hydrocarbon calculation models, the TOC content is the dominant factor controlling the movable and adsorption oil contents, but other factors’ impact also cannot be ignored. Our study not only provides guidance for shale oil exploration in the study area but also broadens our understanding of the oil contents of lacustrine shale.

The present study attempted to investigate the trends of mean annual temperature, precipitation, and streamflow changes to determine their relationships in the upper Huai river basin. The Mann–Kendall (MK), Sen’s slope test estimator, and innovative trend detection (ф) (ITA) methods were used to detect the trends. According to the findings, average annual precipitation shows a descending trend (ф = −0.17) in most stations. An increasing trend was found only in Fuyang station (ф = 1.02). In all stations, the trends of mean annual temperature (ф = 0.36) were abruptly increased. During the past 57 years, the mean air temperature has considerably increased by 12°C/10a. The river streamflow showed a dramatic declining trend in all stations for the duration of the study period (1960–2016) (ф = −4.29). The climate variability in the study region affects the quantity of the streamflow. The river streamflow exhibits decreasing trends from 1965 onwards. The main possible reason for the declining stream flow in the study area is the declining amount of precipitation on some specific months due to the occurrence of climate change. The outcomes of this study could create awareness for the policymakers and members of the scientific community, informing them about the hydroclimatic evolutions across the study basin, and become an inordinate resource for advanced scientific research.

Conflict management in Dempster-Shafer theory (D-S theory) is a hot topic in information fusion. In this paper, a new weighted evidence combination on the basis of the distance between evidence and entropy function is presented. The proposed approach is identified as two procedures. First, the weight is determined based on the distance of evidence. Then, the obtained weight value in the first step is modified by making advantage of Deng entropy function. Our proposed method can efficiently cope with high conflicting evidences with better performance of convergence. A numerical example is provided to demonstrate that the proposed method is reasonable and efficient in the end.

Convergence of multiple functions in a single device is the main thought behind the development of the current electronic trends. So, the requirement for higher integration in electronic devices has become more important in present days than in the past. Through silicon via (TSV) is the latest interconnect technology proposed mainly for higher integration and higher frequency. Therefore, cross talk will be an essential issue that needs to be taken into consideration. In this paper, we study the electrical property of a GSSG (S-Signal, G-Ground) TSV structure and propose the accurate lumped model which can be used to predict the TSV performance. Since more dies are used within one chip, the single layer TSV cannot satisfy the requirement. Hence, we propose the multilayer TSV structure and study how the bump radius, bump height, and underfill material affect the TSV transmission performance and coupling issue, so that we can conduct a good TSV design. Furthermore, three multilayer 4 × 4 TSV array models are proposed with different GS distribution to analyze the detailed coupling results.
