The article focuses on the Frances and John Glessner collection of steel engravings. It was considered that the earliest work purchased by the Gleessners was the "St. John Holding the Lamb," executed by Martin Schongauer that was placed in a Gothic triple frame with other early works including "St. Jerome," by Lucas Van Leyden and "Madonna of the Clouds." Other engravings purchased by the Glessners include "Grant Turenne," "Pompone de Bellievre," "Bonne Femme de Normandie," by Johan Georg Wille, and other art works as advised by Charles Sumner and Frederick Keppel. Several images of engravings and certain rooms of the Glessner House were also presented.
