The article focuses on the increase in cases of early-onset Alzheimer's disease, once thought to afflict only the elderly. The article discusses the effects of the disease on people in their fifties, forties, and, increasing, in their thirties. Particular focus is given to the lack of treatment options for younger victims, as the United States' Alzheimer's Association only recently acknowledged early-onset demenia.
