This report, identified as “Geologic database for digital geology of California, Nevada, and Utah — an application of the North American Data Model" has been approved for release and publication by the Director of the USGS. Although this database has been subjected to rigorous review and is substantially complete, the USGS reserves the right to revise the data pursuant to further analysis and review. Furthermore, it is released on condition that neither the USGS nor the United States Government may be held liable for any damages resulting from its authorized or unauthorized use.

This report provides a digital version of the Geologic map of the Stillwater Complex, Montana originally published by N. Page and W. Nokleberg (1974). Paper copies of the four geologic map sheets from the original report were scanned and initially attributed by Optronics Specialty Company (Northridge, CA) and remitted to the U.S. Geological Survey for further attribution and publication of the geospatial digital files. The resulting digital geologic dataset can be queried in a geographic information system (GIS) in many ways to produce a variety of geological maps.

The passage of the North American Trade Agreement (NAFTA), establishment of the Border Environmental Cooperation Commission as well as the EPA U.S./Mexico Border XXI Program has focused attention to the environmental social-cultural, and economic conditions in the United States-Mexico frontier and to the enhanced necessity of a binational, transborder approach in addressing problems. Towards this end, this U.S.-Mexico borderlands Thematic Mapper selection is designed to be utilized as fundamental part of a basic geographic information system database for natural resource, environmental, and land-management studies.

This paper reports on the Warm Springs Wilderness Study Area underlain by Tertiary volcanic rocks overlying Proterozoic basement The northwestern part of the study area has high potential for gold and silver, other parts have moderate to low potential for gold and silver, sand low potential for perlite, zeolite, kaolinite, and geothermal resources.

From summary: In January-April 1984, the Bureau of Mines conducted a mineral survey of the Lower Burro Creek Wilderness Study Area as required by Federal Land Policy and Management Act (Public Law 94-579, October 21, 1976). The Lower Burro Creek Wilderness Study Area comprises 21,700 acres in southeastern Mohave and Yavapai Counties, Arizona.
