This paper presents some information regarding the hydraulic turbines respectively the experimental results on cavitation erosion behavior of a 13Cr-4Ni stainless steel used to manufacture the components exposed to water of the Francis, Kaplan and Pelton hydraulic turbines. The paper presents the Hydro Hill Chart - Francis module application, used to calculate the hill chart of the Pelton, Francis and Kaplan hydraulic turbine models, by processing the data measured on the stand. The Pelton turbines industrial design is based on the hill chart characteristics obtained by measuring the models. Primary data measurements used to obtain the hill chart can be processed graphically, by hand or by using graphic programs respectively CAD programs; the HydroHillChart - Pelton module software is a specialized tool in achieving the hill chart, using interpolation cubic spline functions. The paper presents an application of the Rapid Prototyping technology using Objet Desktop 3D Printer to manufacture two Pelton runners that are destined for experimental measurements on a Pelton microturbine. The runners are different by bucket's number and the bucket's geometry of the second runner is similar with those of the first runner, but scaled in all directions with the bucket's numbers ratio.
