Background: The Nutrition Heart Program is a community empowerment initiative implemented to enhance the weight of toddlers based on local food capabilities. The 2024 evaluation results revealed that 46.85% of participants experienced fluctuating weight trends. Narayan's four elements of community empowerment (access to information, inclusion/participation, accountability, local organizational capacity) play a crucial role in future program enhancements. Objectives: To assess the Nutrition Heart Program based on the four elements of community empowerment. Methods: The research was conducted using a qualitative design and was conducted in 10 nutrition centers supported by Amerta Kasih. Data collection methods included in-depth interviews with cadre representatives, pregnant women, and field assistants at each nutrition center. Triangulation of methods was utilized to validate the validity of the results of data collection, namely by observation and document studies. Results: Access to information on the program includes the use of WhatsApp, flyers, field facilitators, and health workers. Most mothers of toddlers actively participated, although some were also mothers of toddlers who were passive due to work commitments. Cadres play an active role in program implementation, handling certain administrative reports are done by cadres as a form of accountability. There are no local organizations engaged in program implementation. Conclusions: Three of the four elements of community empowerment are evident in the nutrition heart program. Efforts should be made to establish or involve local organizations in program implementation of the program, as well as efforts to optimize the implementation of the other three empowerment elements.

Latar Belakang: Masalah gizi anak masih menjadi isu kesehatan yang perlu diperhatikan, salah satunya stunting sebagai prioritas negara. Data Survei Status Gizi Indonesia menunjukkan kenaikan prevalensi stunting di Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB) dari 31,4% (2021) menjadi 32,7% (2022). Lembaga Dompet Dhuafa memiliki Program Kawasan Sehat yang membantu pemerintah dalam membangun pola hidup sehat masyarakat khususnya pencegahan stunting. Tujuan: Mengevaluasi Program Kawasan Sehat dalam upaya pencegahan dan penanganan stunting di wilayah Layanan Kesehatan Cuma-Cuma NTB. Metode: Penelitian evaluatif ini menggunakan metode campuran. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan telaah dokumen. Informan dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data kualitatif dilakukan dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Data kuantitatif dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk melihat prevalensi stunting dan capaian indikator program. Hasil: Program Kawasan Sehat berkontribusi dalam upaya pencegahan dan penanganan stunting. Komponen input pada program tersebut mampu mendorong program berjalan dengan baik, dimana SDM dan anggaran tercukupi dengan adanya kemitraan. Komponen proses berjalan dengan sistematis mulai dari perencanaan yang melibatkan stakeholder, pelaksanaan dengan gabungan metode pemberdayaan masyarakat dan charity, serta pengawasan. Berbagai intervensi dilakukan mulai dari pendampingan ibu hamil, ibu menyusui, bayi dan balita. Keberhasihan output terlihat dari adanya penurunan prevalensi stunting di kawasan sehat NTB dan ketercapaian indikator program. Kesimpulan: Keseluruhan program kawasan sehat terkait intervensi stunting sudah dapat dikatakan berhasil (input, proses, output). Penguatan pemberdayaan masyarakat harus selalu dilakukan sebagai upaya membiasakan masyarakat berperilaku hidup bersih dan sehat.

Background: Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by SARS-CoV2, first detected in China in 2019. This disease causes respiratory infections and significantly impacts global health. Purpose: This study aims to analyze the risk factors for mortality in COVID-19 patients at Universitas Airlangga Hospital in 2021. Methods: This observational analytical study uses a case-control design, including 168 samples with 64 cases and 64 controls. Secondary data from patient medical records at Universitas Airlangga Hospital, including age, gender, education, comorbidities, oxygen saturation, and length of stay. Chi-square tests analyzed the data with a 95% confidence level (α=5%). Results: The analysis revealed significant associations between COVID-19 mortality and several factors. Age (p=0.01; OR=3.24; 95%CI=1.57-6.65), gender (p=0.01; OR=2.2; 95%CI=1.17-4.02), education (p=0.00; OR=2.40; 95%CI=1.11-5.40), comorbidities (p=0.08; OR=2.50; 95%CI=1.26-4.91), and oxygen saturation (p=0.00; OR=5.40; 95%CI=117.10-2490.06) were significantly associated with COVID-19 mortality. Oxygen saturation was the most influential factor (p=0.00; OR=901.73; 95%CI=120.75-6733.48) associated with mortality. Conclusion: Age, gender, education, comorbidities, and oxygen saturation significantly affect Covid-19 mortality rates. This study highlights the importance of monitoring and managing these risk factors in managing COVID-19 at Universitas Airlangga Hospital.

Introduction: This study aimed to identify factors influencing the readiness of parents with elementary school-age children for face-to-face learning using the Health Promotion Model (HPM). Methods: This was a cross-sectional study. The study population consisted of parents of elementary school students in Surabaya. A purposive sampling method was used to select 395 respondents. The independent variables included motivation, parental knowledge, perceived benefits, perceptions of barriers, self-efficacy, interpersonal factors, situational factors, and commitment. The dependent variable was parental behavior in face-to-face learning readiness. Data were collected using a validated and reliable questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using a logistic regression test, with a significance level of α ≤ 0.05. Results: Most parents were 37 years old, and children in the 5th grade of elementary school. Most of the parents' motivation was in the sufficient category (57%). The parents’ knowledge of COVID-19 was good (66.8%). Most parents had a good perception of benefits (68.4%), and the perception of barriers was sufficient (59.7%). Good self-efficacy was observed in only 49% of cases, and interpersonal and situational factors accounted for 99.7% and 100%, respectively. Meanwhile, regarding parental readiness for face-to-face learning, the majority exhibited good behavior (96.2%). The factors that influenced parental behavior in face-to-face learning readiness were parental knowledge (0.010), perceived benefits (0.019), and commitment (0.029). Conclusions: Good knowledge, perceived benefits, and parental commitment are factors that influence parents' readiness to participate in face-to-face learning. Introduction: The implementation of smoke-free regulations is an effort to create a clean and healthy environment in the Blitar District, Indonesia. The main purpose of this research is to analyze public opinion on the smoke-free regulations drafting in the Blitar District. Methods: To analyze public opinion about the smoke-free regulations, we used a cross-sectional design with a RAPID survey conducted in 2015. The research involved distributing questionnaires to 1,008 respondents, with the sample size proportionally divided across 22 districts. For the implementation of the regulation, we conducted observational research over four years. The effort to draft the smoke-free regulations continued until 2019, and the implementation of the regulations is ongoing until 2023. Results and Discussion: Results showed that 94.5% supported the regulations. The RAPID survey results provided evidence for drafting the smoke-free regulations. This evidence was used to advocate for stakeholder support in drafting and implementing the regulations in the Blitar District. Although the smoke-free regulations were released in 2019, their implementation has been very challenging and requiring significant effort. Conclusion: A RAPID survey showed that almost all people in Blitar support the drafting and implementation of the smoke-free regulations. The implementation requires significant effort to ensure it proceeds smoothly and needs support from all stakeholders in the Blitar District.

Spray technology is an innovative salt production process technology that is able to increase seawater salinity and accelerate the salt production process. This study aims to determine the effect of variations in the amount of spray and discharge in spray technology on increasing seawater salinity. The experimental method was carried out by varying the spray and water discharge amount in spray technology according to the variables. This research has been successfully carried out to increase the salinity of synthetic seawater where to increase from the initial seawater salinity of 2.5 °Be to 24 °Be. It takes 16 hours taken in 3 days using the number of sprays as much as 5 sprays with a seawater flow rate of 0.2424 m³/hour in an evaporation pond of 15í—7 m. The use of the spray method proved effective in accelerating the rate of increase in salinity of synthetic seawater, which was tested to increase the salinity of synthetic seawater from 2.5 °Be to 12 °Be with an evaporation time in traditional methods of 15 days to only 11 hours. This can also happen because the temperature, humidity and wind speed were relatively stable when the research took place.

Ectoparasite is commonly found on the skin and can cause dermatological problems. In veterinary practices, ivermectin, selamectin, and fipronil are commonly used to treat ectoparasitosis. This article aims to deeply examines the indications and contraindications of ivermectin, selamectin and fipronil. Ectoparasites are commonly found in cats and dogs and make up a large percentage of cases compared to other diseases. Therefore, it is important to have an understanding of the drugs that are effective against ectoparasites. In the past, ivermectin was a popular antiparasitic drug due to its high efficacy. However, its safety is not directly proportional its efficacy. Ivermectin has adverse effects, as evidenced by numerous case reports of overdose, intoxication, and interference with certain organ functions. In the field of pharmacology, many new drugs have been developed with the expectation of improved efficacy and safety. Two examples of such drugs are selamectin and fipronil. This article allows veterinarians and other readers to compare the safety and efficacy of these drugs before administering them to their patients.

Introduction: Parental empowerment in monitoring adolescents plays a crucial role in preventing health-risk behaviors. This research aimed to develop a model of parental empowerment against the prevention of health risk behavior (PE-HRB) in adolescents based on the theory of health promotion model. Methods: The research design used was an explanative survey method. The research population was parents who have adolescent children in East Java and able to access online questionnaires. Consecutive sampling obtained a large sample of 704 respondents from July - September 2020. Questionnaires were distributed online using the online Zoho platform and distributed to parents. The data analysis used a smart PLS (Partial Least Squares) statistical test with significance level T>1.96. Background: Water quality can decrease due to population growth, domestic waste handling, climate, and human activities. Most of the people in Cimahi use well water for drinking and eating. However, using well water with high lead levels for consumption can adversely affect on the lead levels in the women’s blood of childbearing age. Purpose: This study investigates the relationship between lead levels in well water and the corresponding levels found in women’s blood in the Leuwigajah area of Cimahi. Method: Research samples were collected from both well water and the women’s blood of childbearing age (15 - 49 years) who consume well water for drinking and cooking. Subsequently, sample preparation was conducted, and the samples were analyzed using an atomic absorption spectrophotometer. The Spearman correlation test was employed to analyze the data and establish any potential correlations. Result: The lead content in water ranged from 0.055 ppm to 0.089 ppm, exceeding the requirements for lead in clean water. Meanwhile, lead levels in the blood ranged from 1.5 ug/dL to 78.2 ug/dL, with 6.7% falling within the normal category, 40% in the tolerable category, 30% in the excess category, and 23.3% in the high category. The statistical results show a significant relationship between lead levels in well water and the blood, with a correlation value of 37.9%. The correlation value indicates a weak positive relationship. Conclusion: There is a relationship between lead levels in well water and women’s blood.

Objective: This investigation assessed the factors determining consumers' purchasing intention for natural food. This study employs four variables to explain the phenomenon: purchasing intention toward organic food, altruistic value, egoistic value, and attitude toward organic products. Design/Methods/Approach: This study employs a quantitative approach, using primary data collected through an online survey from a sample of 109 individuals. We use the convenience sampling method to collect the data. Furthermore, the regression analysis is performed with SPSS version 23. Findings: The findings of this study highlighted that altruistic and egoistic values do not influence the intention to purchase organic food. Consumers' attitude has a significant influence on purchasing organic food. However, egoistic values and altruistic values do not influence purchasing intention. Originality/Value: This research examines specific parameters determining consumers' purchasing behavior toward organic products. The model in this work is grounded with a few gaps that still need to be explored and have rarely been investigated in past studies. Practical/Policy implication: The findings contribute an additional theoretical comprehensive to the organic food consumption literature. Moreover, these findings can be an asset to the practitioner in shaping successful marketing strategies to promote and develop organic food. This study can provide additional knowledge and a new perception of consumer behavior toward organic food.

Background: Cognitive disturbances are a major cause of disability in depression. The antidepressant medication effectively improves cognitive function. However, its adverse effect limits its use, so add-on treatment is needed to support its effectiveness. Aim: This study aims to compare the efficacy of aerobic exercise and repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) as an add-on treatment for improving cognitive function. Material and Methods: Twenty-seven patients with first episodes of moderate and severe depression were recruited from the outpatient psychiatry clinic to join this randomized controlled trial. Participants were allocated to three groups: antidepressant only, antidepressant with add-on aerobic exercise, and antidepressant with add-on rTMS therapy. All participants received 2 weeks of intervention. Cognitive functions were assessed using the Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MOCA). Results: No differences were found in baseline characteristic data between groups. Total MOCA score increased after intervention in a group with no add-on treatment (p=0.007), with add-on aerobic exercise (p=0.011), and with add-on rTMS therapy (p=0.017). Hence, there was no between-group difference (p=0.222). The MOCA subtest analysis revealed between-group differences in changes in delayed recall subtest score (p=0.01). The group with add-on rTMS therapy improved better than the group with antidepressants only (p=0.005).Conclusion: The addition of rTMS therapy resulted in better improved delayed recall function than the addition of aerobic exercise or without any add-on treatment. This finding supports the application of rTMS therapy as an add-on treatment to improve the cognitive function of patients with depression.

Background: Periodontitis is a chronic inflammatory disease of the periodontal tissue that is characterized by alveolar bone resorption. This occurs due to an imbalance of osteoblast and osteoclast during the bone formation and resorption processes. In order to obtain complete regeneration of periodontal tissue, bone grafting is frequently used in periodontal surgical therapy. Although each material has disadvantages, safe graft materials derived from animal sources can be employed as an alternative to bone graft materials. Osteoblast, osteoclast, calcified bone matrix, type I collagen, osteonectin, and hydroxyapatite can all be found in gourami scales, a form of food waste. BMP4 has osteoinduction functions, which are important in bone metabolism. Through angiogenic activity, FGF2 also contributes to periodontal regeneration. Purpose: The aim of the study was to assess the expression of BMP4 and FGF2 after the treatment group had been given gourami fish scale extract. Methods: Thirty-two experimental three-month-old male Wistar rats (150-200g) were randomly divided into four groups: a seven-day control group, a seven-day treatment group, a 14-day control group, and a 14-day treatment group. Background: The persistence of microorganisms in the root canal system is one of the leading causes of root canal treatment failure. Biofilms of putative pathogens hidden inside dentin tubules and other root canal ramifications may limit current disinfection protocols. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) with a wavelength of 628 nm can be used as an antimicrobial strategy that uses low-power laser energy to activate a non-toxic photosensitizer to produce singlet oxygen with the ability to kill microorganisms in root canals. Fusobacterium nucleatum was used because this bacterium is one of the bacteria involved in root canal infection. Purpose: The aim of this study was to compare the bactericidal efficacy of sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) 2.5%, PDT, and a combination of PDT and NaOCl 2.5% against Fusobacterium nucleatum. Methods: Mature biofilm Fusobacterium nucleatum was divided into four groups according to the protocol of decontamination: K1 (negative control – biofilm), K2 (NaOCl 2.5%), K3 (PDT), and K4 (NaOCl 2.5% + PDT). Biofilm degradation was observed using optical density (OD) at 570 nm using a microplate reader. A reactive oxygen species quantity check was carried out using a nitroblue tetrazolium test, and OD observation was done with a microplate reader at 540 nm. Results: Group 4 (NaOCl 2.5% + PDT) showed more biofilm bacteria elimination than the other groups. Conclusion: A combination of PDT and NaOCl 2.5% can be considered an effective protocol for the elimination of Fusobacterium nucleatum. There is a potentiation relationship between NaOCl 2.5% and PDT FotoSan. Biofilm degradation occurs because of the effect of antibacterial NaOCl 2.5% and the irradiation effect of the Toluidine blue O photosensitizer.

Introduction: The prevalence of online game addiction has increased among adolescents in Indonesia. This study aimed to analyze the correlation between parent conflict and online game addiction among adolescents. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional, correlational design. The inclusion criteria in this study were as follows: (1) adolescents between the ages of 13-19 and who were male, and (2) adolescents who were willing to become respondents. Eighty adolescents were approached according to the inclusion criteria, and 73 respondents were eligible for this study. The data collection method used was a questionnaire filled out by adolescents. The questionnaire was adapted to adolescents and to determine adolescents' perceptions of interaction conflict. Statistical analysis was performed using Spearman’s rank test with α=0.05. Results: Parental interaction conflict was positively related to online game addiction among adolescents (p = 0.004). The majority of respondents who experienced online game addiction in the fair category had low interaction conflicts with their parents. Conclusions: Conflict of interaction with parents can cause adolescents to become addicted to online games. Parents are expected to engage in good interactions in accordance with the stages of adolescent development. Parents should be able to complete their problem interactions well.

Growth factors and stem cells in nano fat complemented the micro fat properties, thus increasing the survivability rate. ABSTRACT: Background: Patients with craniofacial clefts who have had reconstructive surgery often develop problems,such as contour deformity that will cause psychological issues. Micro and nano fat grafting are various methods utilized to overcome these issues. Case and Operation Technique: This case series describes two patients with facial contour deformities due to Tessier 3 and 4 craniofacial clefts, respectively. Each patient underwent secondary reconstruction correction surgery followed by a combination of micro and nano fat grafting. Discussion: Results on day 7 after surgery were promising. Growth factors and stem cells in nano fat complemented the micro fat properties, thus increasing the survivability rate. Conclusion: This case series demonstrates that the combination of micro and nano fat shows promising results for overcoming facial contour deformity.

Latar Belakang: Desa Kebonagung merupakan salah satu lokasi fokus stunting di Kabupaten Semarang. Stunting dipengaruhi oleh faktor risiko yang terjadi di 1000 hari pertama kehidupan. Tujuan: mengetahui peningkatan risiko stunting pada batita berdasarkan lingkar lengan atas (LILA) Ibu di awal kehamilan, status anemia ibu di trimester III, berat badan lahir, dan panjang badan lahir. Metode: Penelitian menggunakan desain deskriptif observasional dengan pendekatan kohort retrospektif. Populasi adalah batita usia 12-35 bulan di Desa Kebonagung Kecamatan Sumowono Kabupaten Semarang. Sampel 71 batita yang diperoleh dengan teknik total sampling. Data LILA ibu, status anemia ibu, berat badan lahir, dan panjang badan lahir diperoleh dari buku KIA subjek. Data stunting diperoleh dengan melakukan pengukuran antropometri gizi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menghitung risiko relatif (RR). Hasil: Subjek yang mengalami stunting 18 (23.35%) batita. Ibu batita yang berisiko KEK di awal kehamilan 18 (25.35%) dan yang mengalami anemia di trimester III kehamilan 18 (25.35%). Batita yang mengalami berat badan lahir rendah(BBLR) 10 (14.08%) subjek dan yang pendek pada saat lahir 12 (16.90%) subjek. Ukuran LILA yang kurang dari normal, kadar Hb yang rendah di trimester III kehamilan dan BBLR meningkatkan risiko terjadinya stunting pada saat batita (RR=1.87; RR=1.47; RR=1.22). Panjang badan lahir yang pendek tidak meningkatkan risiko terjadinya stunting (RR=0.87). Kesimpulan: Status gizi ibu pada saat kehamilan dan bayi di awal kehidupannya dapat mempengaruhi terjadinya stunting sehingga perlu adanya program pencegahan stunting di fase 1000 hari pertama kehidupan.

Background: The WHO-MGRS (Multicenter Growth Reference Study) recommendations based on the height for age index define stunting as a condition in which the body is short or extremely short. The incidence of stunting among children under five is predicted to reach 21.9% in 2020 by the World Health Organization (WHO). Stunting affects 149.0 million children, who run the risk of developing stunted growth, poor brain development, lower IQ, and disease vulnerability. Objectives: The study aimed to find out the variables associated with the incidence of stunting in 2021 in Kepyar Village, Purwantoro District, Wonogiri Regency. Methods: The research design was case-control with a ratio of 1:1 consisting of 22 samples from cases and 22 samples from controls. 22 individuals who were not deemed to be at risk of suffering stunting made up the control sample for toddlers. Between November 2021 and January 2022, the study was carried out. Low birth weight (LBW), birth length, exclusive breastfeeding, mother's last educational level, mother's height, socioeconomic status, accessibility to weaning food, early breastfeeding initiation, and also considered the mother's age at conception were all independent variables. The dependent variable is stunting, which can be either chronic or mild to severe (-2 SD). Fisher's Exact Test was used to analyze this study. Results: The majority of children were not LBW (90.9%), followed by normal birth length (81.8%), exclusive breastfeeding (56.8%), low education level of the mother (72.7%), mother's height was not at risk (72.7%), early breastfeeding initiation (63.6%), low socioeconomic status (63.6%), proper weaning food (77.3%), and maternal age during pregnancy is not at risk (54.5%). Early initiation of breastfeeding and stunting incidents showed a statistically significant association (p-value of 0.005), then there was also a relationship between socioeconomic status and stunting incidents (p-value of 0.028). Conclusions: Socioeconomic status and early initiation of breastfeeding are associated with stunting incidents. To lower the frequency of stunting in Kepyar Village, early initiation of breastfeeding promotion needs to be optimized.

ABSTRACT Background: Carbohydrates supplementation before exercise is known to delay fatigue in athletes, especially for endurance type of sports. Brown sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum) mostly contains sucrose. The breakdown of sucrose into glucose and fructose is used by the body as an energy-providing substrate, especially when exercising for a long duration – endurance. Consumption of brown sugarcane before exercise is expected to keep blood glucose in normal condition and preventing from muscle glycogen catabolism. Objectives: This research aimed to investigate the effect of carbohydrate supplementation with brown sugarcane and glucose on blood glucose and muscle glycogen levels. Methods: 36 male Sprague Dawley rats at 8 weeks old were involved in this study. There were 4 groups of intervention, brown sugarcane + swimming (BS), glucose + swimming (G), water + swimming (W), and brown sugarcane without swimming (S). The dose of intervention was 0,3 g sucrose/100 g body weight of rats. The supplementation was given 10 minutes before doing the swimming activity. A statistical test with SPSS software was used to analyze the results. One-way ANOVA and t-test were used to analyze before and after supplementation. Results: The results showed that the rats who were given sugar cane supplementation before swimming had a smaller increase in blood glucose than the other groups. The increasing of blood glucose in each group were BS = 7.95 mg/dl; G = 21.19 mg/dl; W = 35.64 mg/dl; S = 4.57 mg/dl; p=0.000. Muscle glycogen levels in the rats given sugar cane supplementation group were higher than in the other groups (p=0.000). Conclusions: Carbohydrate supplementation with brown sugarcane before endurance type of exercise was able to maintain blood glucose on normal condition and prevent muscle glycogen catabolism in experimental animals. Research on the development of sports spesific products based on brown sugarcane can be carried out to see its effects directly on humans. Background: The negative impact of tobacco, especially second-hand smokers, requires imperative actions. Introducing tobacco control measures helps protect the public health. Data suggest that there were approximately 44 million daily smokers in Indonesia comprising 49.8 million males and 3.9 million females over ten years of age. East Java Province had the biggest number of smokers in Indonesia. To reduce trends in smoking behavior, we need to advocate local government to release and implement smoke-free regulations. Aims: The study aims to do action research through advocacy and communication for the regulation of smoke-free areas in East Java Province. Methods: The action research involved 12 districts of East Java Province, Indonesia. The method used in this study was Focus Group Discussion (FGD), one-on-one meeting, in-depth interviews, public speaking, press conference, and press release. Results: Intensive advocacy and communication worked successfully. Eight districts of East Java Province implemented local regulations of smoke-free areas. The advocacy and communication of the regulations made it possible to be implemented. Conclusion: Intensive advocacy and communication improve the awareness of executive and legislative government about the importance of smoke-free area regulations. It will be successful if regular meetings, discussions, press conferences, public speaking, and team work are conducted with many stakeholders.

Introduction: Stroke can cause mild to severe disability, which is the main trigger for anxiety and other effects of stroke. The purpose of this study was to describe some things of the anxiety of stroke patients at RSUD Ibnu Sina Gresik. Methods: This study used a descriptive research design. The population were stroke patients at RSUD Ibnu Sina Gresik in March 2022. The sample in this study was 78 respondents using the purposive sampling technique. The instrument used is a HARS scale questionnaire, analyzed by descriptive method and presented using a distributive table. Results: As many as 87.2% of respondents experienced anxiety. Most of the respondents had a mild level of anxiety (51.3%). It happened because most respondents were outpatients who had entered the recovery period. The most common cause of anxiety among respondents was illness (80.8%) and decreased work productivity (29.5%). The most efforts made by respondents to reduce anxiety were by worshipping and praying (64.1%) and telling stories to trusted people (62.8%). Nurses have an essential role in reducing the anxiety of stroke patients. Conclusions: Most stroke patients at RSUD Ibnu Sina Gresik experienced mild anxiety caused by illness and decreased work productivity. Most efforts are made to reduce anxiety, namely by worshipping and praying and telling stories to trusted people.

Rousettus spp. is one of the wild animals that may transmit various diseases including zoonotic. Rousettus spp. or known as fruit bat is found in Java island and belongs to the Pteropodidae family. Generally, Rousettus spp. consumes fruit and floral products. This case report aims to detect ectoparasites in fruit bats (Rousettus spp.) found at Djawatan Banyuwangi, East Java. The samples in this case report are seven fruit bats (Rousettus spp.). Based on the results of laboratory identification using the whole mount method, from 7 samples of fruit bats (Rousettus spp.), there are five fruit bats (Rousettus spp.) were infected with Spinturnix spp.. Spinturnix spp. that obtained from fruit bats (Rousettus spp.) were examined using a binocular microscope (Olympus CX-23, Tokyo Japan) with a magnification of 100 times. Images of ectoparasites and bats were taken using a Nikon d5300 camera. Total amount of Spinturnix spp. that was successfully obtained from 5 fruit bats (Rousettus spp.) are 25 individuals.

Introduction: The increasing number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia triggers fear and anxiety in the community and causes stress. Teachers who work are at risk of experiencing job stress. The change in the learning system from face-to-face to distance learning requires teachers to adapt to the new technology applied. The purpose of this research was to analyze the relationship between the understanding of the Google Classroom application and duration of work during the Covid-19 pandemic with job stress. Methods: This research is an analytical research with a cross sectional approach. The research was conducted in 8 public high schools in Nganjuk District, and the samples were 115 teachers. Data retrieval was done by using an online questionnaire via Google Form. The variables in this research were the understanding of the Google Classroom (knowledge, perceptions of the usefulness and ease of use), work duration and job stress. Bivariate analysis used Spearmans’ Rho correlation test to determine the relationship between variables. Results: Most respondents had a moderate level of knowledge, and most of them had a fairly good perception of the usefulness and ease of use of the Google Classroom application. The duration of work that most respondents had was 2 hours, and the highest category of job stress was mild stress. Conclusion: The understanding of the Google Classroom application (knowledge of the Google Classroom application, the perception of the usefulness of the Google Classroom application and the perception of the ease of use of the Google Classroom application) and the duration of work had a significant relationship with job stress among public high school teachers in Nganjuk District during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Introduction: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a limitation of the inflow and outflow of air caused by inflammation of the inhaled toxin. The incidence of COPD continues to increase every year, and is predicted to be the highest cause of death in the next 10 years. This study aimed to analyze risk factors for the history of hypertension, genetic, and smoking degree with COPD in patients at Haji Public Hospital Surabaya 2019. Methods: This type of research used analytic observational research with a case-control research design. The research sample used simple random sampling. Variables used include hypertension history, smoking degree, and genetic. Result: The results of the Chi-Square statistical analysis were male sex at risk with COPD (OR: 14.7; 95% CI: 6.28-34.5); Age> 40 years at risk with COPD (Odds Ratio (OR): 116.8; 95% CI: 15.2-898.4; history of hypertension at risk with COPD (Odds Ratio (OR): 2,512; 95% CI: 1.99-3.16; smoking degree at risk with COPD (high degree OR: 60.95; 95% CI: 7.65-470.3; moderate degree OR: 31.3; 95% CI: 3.85-254.6; low degree OR: 6.1; 95% CI: 1.45-25.6) and smoking behavior (OR: 21.9; 95% CI: 7.71-62.271). Conclusion: It can be concluded that the variables which are risk factors for COPD are male sex, age> 40 years, history of hypertension, smoking behavior and degree of smoking. Recommendations based on the results of this study are expected that the community can be familiarized with a clean and healthy lifestyle so that the incidence of COPD can be reduced.

Introduction: Rational use of medicine (RUM) is critical for achieving therapeutic goals and avoiding unwanted effects. However, irrational medicine use is becoming a severe issue worldwide since it leads to increased medical costs and unwanted effects. Students as prospective professional nurses need to have knowledge that supports the rational use of medicine to ensure rational administration of the medicine for patients. Methods: This descriptive research was conducted to identify knowledge of rational use of medicine among nursing students of Faculty of Nursing Universitas Padjadjaran. Quantitative data was collected by asking respondents to fill out questionnaires. A total of 285 respondents had filled out an online research questionnaire (response rate=76.61%). The collected data were analyzed with descriptive analysis (frequency, percentage, and average). Result: The results of this study showed that there is some knowledge related to (RUM) which is not appropriate, such as assuming that over the counter medicines are safe to consume with prescribed medicines (53.3%); tablet medicines can be divided to be administered in child patients (57.9%). In addition, almost all respondents considered it unnecessary to be cautious in giving medication to pregnant and lactating mothers (41.1%) and the elderly (40.4%). Conclusion: Thus, nursing students are expected to gain RUM knowledge to obtain better RUM attitudes and behaviors in providing nursing interventions.

TBI pathophysiology varies, which may cause diverse complications. These complications may decrease the patients’ quality of life. Objective: Describing the quality of life of traumatic brain-injured patients after being treated at Dr. Soetomo General Academic Hospital Period 2018-2020. Methods: This research is a descriptive cross-sectional study using SF-36 questionnaire data from patients with post-severe brain injury at Dr. Soetomo General Academic Hospital in 2018-2020. Results: The value of the physical component (59.9) and mental component (68.6) in patients with severe brain injury at Dr. Soetomo General Academic Hospital showed a good quality of life, with values ​​in the SF-36 domains, namely physical function (58.2), physical limitations (46.7), body pain (73.6), general health (61.3), vitality (65.3), social functioning (72.5), emotional limitations (60), and mental health (76.5) is above the threshold value (50) except for physical limitations (46.7).Conclusion: Patients with severe brain injury had a good quality of life after receiving treatment in Dr. Soetomo General Academic Hospital.

Background: Chronic kidney disease is a catastrophic disease ranked second in Indonesia for high health costs. The number of renal units in Indonesia has rapidly increased since the launch of the National Health Insurance program in 2014. Its increase was accompanied by the increased number of patients. Aim: This study analyzed the effect of service quality dimensions on patient satisfaction with hemodialysis care. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional design and a quantitative method. It retrieved data from respondents who had undergone hemodialysis care at hospitals and clinics in Jakarta and surroundings. The PLS-SEM approach was used to analyze the data. Results: Eight service dimensions were proven to influence the overall service quality and directly impact patient satisfaction. The influential dimensions included facilities and organization of the service, care by attending nurses and assistants, attention to psychological and administrative issues, medical attention and care, nutrition attention and care, medication supply and quality, features and administration process, attention and care given by the head nurse. All of these dimensions affected patient satisfaction as a dependent variable. This study has strong predictive accuracy, and thus it can be replicable in future research with different populations. Conclusion: This study demonstrated eight service quality dimensions that affect service quality and directly impact satisfaction of hemodialysis patients both with hospital and clinic services.

Background: Complaint management is vital for hospitals as patient complaints can be used to advance the quality of health services provided. Aims: This study analyzed patient complaint management at an X government hospital in Yogyakarta. Methods: The research used a descriptive-qualitative method and phenomenology, which was carried out through in-depth interviews, observation, and document review. It involved the head of the legal and public relations department, the head of the public relations sub-division, two staff of the legal and public relations department, two officers to outpatient and inpatient units, and two patients. This study used purposive sampling to select the samples. Data analysis referred to was from the concept of Miles and Huberman, which consists of data reduction, display, and verification. The accuracy of all data was checked using a triangulation method. Results: The hospital followed the patient complaint management procedures. Providing complaint reporting platforms is required to lodge patient complaints to the hospital. Moreover, the suggestion box should be managed properly, and thus the complaints on the box can be managed promptly. Conclusion: Overall, patient complaint management at the hospital has been carried out well and followed the standard operating procedures (SOP).

Stunting is a failure of child growth characterized by a lack of height for age Z-score caused by chronic nutritional problems. Stunting has a negative impact on the quality of human resources in the future. Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) is the province with the highest stunting cases in Indonesia. LKC Dompet Dhuafa NTT help to accelerate stunting mitigation carried out in Kawasan Sehat Program. The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of stunting interventions through The Kawasan Sehat Program in Oebelo Village. This research is a qualitative and quantitative evaluative research with input-process-output approach. The selection of informants purposive sampling technique with seven informants. Primary data were collected by interviews and observations. Meanwhile, secondary data is carried out by reviewing documents. In the input component, there are still constraints in the adequacy of facilities, infrastructure, and cadre transportation. In the process component, necessary to enhance partnerships and strengthen the commitment of the target groups of the program. In the output component, there has been a decrease in stunting prevalence from 8% to 4%. There are several factors that affect the output such as economic factors, sanitation, and customs. Concluded that the stunting interventions in Kawasan Sehat Oebelo were effective and all components of inputs-processes-outputs were running well. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Nutritional issues among children remain a significant health concern, with stunting being a national priority. Data of the Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey shows an increase in the prevalence of stunting in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) from 31.4% (2021) to 32.7% (2022). Dompet Dhuafa Foundation has a Kawasan Sehat program to support the government in promoting healthy lifestyles, particularly stunting prevention. Objectives: Evaluating the Kawasan Sehat program in efforts to prevent and manage stunting in Layanan Kesehatan Cuma-Cuma area of NTB. Methods: This evaluative research used a mixed-methods approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document reviews. Informants were selected using purposive sampling. Qualitative data analysis was conducted in stages of data reduction, presentation, and interpretation. Quantitative data were analyzed descriptively to assess stunting prevalence and the achievement of program indicators. Results: Kawasan Sehat program has contributed to preventing and managing stunting. The input components effectively support its implementation, with adequate human resources and budget acquired from partnerships. The program was carried out systematically, including planning involving stakeholders, execution using a combination of community empowerment and charity, and supervision. Various interventions are implemented, including support for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, infants, and toddlers. The success of the output was evidenced by the decrease in stunting prevalence in Kawasan Sehat NTB and the achievement of the program indicators. Conclusions: Kawasan Sehat program for stunting intervention has been successful according to input, process, and output. Background : Back pain during pregnancy was experienced by many women at certain times during their pregnancy, usually in the third trimester of pregnancy. Efforts to reduce pain can use pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods, by providing anti-pain drugs carried out by health workers and non-pharmacological methods can be done by health workers or families, one of which is endorphin massage therapy. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Endorphin Massage on back pain in third trimester pregnant women. Methods : This study used Pretest-Posttest Control Group design. Samples were taken from the population that met the inclusion criteria at PMB Faufatul Zuhriyah from June to August 2021 as many as 30 respondents with purposive sampling. The independent variable was Endorphin massage, while the dependent variable was back pain in third trimester pregnant women. Instrument using Endorphin massage technique checklist and questionnaire, visual analog scale (VAS). Below-knee (BK) amputation is one of the most commonly performed actions in dysvascular cases, but rare caused by arterial stenosis. Those had significant impacts on clinical functions and affect the contralateral limb, so its need adequate supervision during rehabilitation programs. The report are to describe the stump wound healing of the patient after amputation surgery, stump preparation at pre-prosthetic phase, prevention of knee contracture, prosthetic preparation and use, gait training and evaluation of unaffected limb. A 44-years old female with right below-knee amputation caused by stenosis of right peroneal and dorsalis pedis artery, and the wound in the residual limb was not healed within 4 weeks. She got rehabilitation to accelerate stump healing and stump shaping, maintain knee flexibility, muscle strengthening, cardiovascular endurance, transfer and ambulation. She had good compliance to the programs and achieved independent ambulation using the prosthetic within 6 months. Improvement in residual limb healing within 6 weeks, pain reduction from VAS score 3 to zero, and stump shape changes from buldging to conical. And also in knee joint range of motion, transfer ability, gait pattern using BK prosthetic (by modifying shoe components), and the patient's ability to carry out ADL (BI score 75 to 100). Laser therapy, stump shaping, flexibility exercise, strengthening exercise, endurance exercise, ambulation exercise and prosthetic use on transtibial dysvascular amputation showed good results for ADL. Careful examination to the unaffected limb could identify early occurence of stenosis. Early intervention could prevent future ischaemia and amputation.

Background: Stroke is a disease condition caused by the sudden stopping of the blood supply to the brain, either because of a blockage or ruptured blood vessels. The prevalence of stroke in Indonesia based on Basic health research in 2013 was 7‰ and increased in 2018 to 10.9‰. Purpose: This research aims to determine the effect of smoking behaviour on the prevalence of stroke in Surabaya, Indonesia. Methods: It was a cross-sectional study. The study population included all visitors to nerve poly at Haji Hospital Surabaya. Data were collected from respondents through interviews and patient medical record data from August to September 2019. Univariate and bivariate analyses were done to identify the association between smoking and stroke incidence. Results: A total of 187 people participated in the study. The majority of them were aged ≥ 55 years (78.16%), with 55.17% being male. There is 32.18% active smoker and 28.74% passive smoker for stroke patients. There is an association of the type of non-filter cigarettes with the prevalence of stroke p = 0.01, PR = 4.02; 95% Cl = 1.38-11.67), and duration of exposure ≥30 years (p = 0.01, PR = 7.84; 95% Cl = 2.75-22.32) Conclusion: there is an influence of types of non-filter cigarettes and exposure time ≥ 30 years with the incidence of stroke in the city of Surabaya.

Background: Toddlers are a group that is vulnerable to experiencing nutritional problems. The nutritional status of toddlers is very dependent on the role of caregivers, especially mothers. Business women have less time together with toddlers so that it will have an impact on mothers' attention to the growth and development of toddlers, child feeding patterns, food diversity, and macro-nutrient intake of toddlers. Research in Padang states that business women have a 1,3 times risk of experiencing malnutrition in children. Purpose: Know the differences in child feeding patterns, food diversity, and macro nutrient intake in toddlers from business women and housewife. Method: The design of this study was an observational analytic with cross sectional approach. The research was conducted on medium socioeconomic housing in Banyumas Regency. The sample are toddlers aged 12-59 months as many as 78 toddlers, taken using total sampling techniques. Data were statistically tested using independent T tests. Results: The results of study showed no differences in child feeding patterns (p = 0.605), food diversity (p = 0.767), energy intake (p = 0.483), protein intake (p = 0.806), fat intake (p = 0.787) and carbohydrate intake (p = 0.337) in toddlers from business women and housewife. Conclusions: There were no differences in child feeding patterns, food diversity, and macro nutrient intake in toddlers from business women and housewife.

Introduction: Labor experiences have potential short and long term physical and psychological effects on women’s lives. Many factors influenced role in a mother’s experience of childbirth, both positively and negatively. This study aimed to determine the prevalence and factors that influence the delivery experience. Methods: This study searched for articles in the databases, namely Pub Med, Scopus, ProQuest, ScienceDirect, and Sage. The keyword used is labor experience. A total of 3654 articles were found, after selecting studies using PRISMA found 18 corresponding articles. Results: In this study, 18 studies were included in this systematic review, eight studies examined the prevalence of labor experiences. The prevalence of labor experience was 6.8-44%. Factors related to childbirth experiences included: individuals, such as age, parity, fear, self-efficacy, participation, control, expectations, preparation, and interpersonal, such as husband support, caregiver support, unwanted medical problems, such as prolonged labor, stimulation, and induction, forceps delivery, emergency cesarean section, and use of analgesics in mothers, low APGAR scores and transfer to the NICU. Conclusion: This review showed the various factors associated with the childbirth experience. This finding suggests conducting further research into the reason these factors influence the experience of labor.

Background: Physical activity (PA) has been associated with multiple health benefits. However, the global population does not meet the PA recommendations. Virtual reality exergaming (VR EXG) can become an option to increase PA because it is fun, relatively easy to access and affordable through popular commercial devices. Aim: To investigate the immediate cardiovascular responses (blood pressure, heart rate), quantification of PA intensity (percentage of maximum heart rate (%HRmax), Borg’s rating of perceived exertion (RPE), and the level of enjoyment using visual analog scale (VAS) while playing VR EXG. Material and Methods: Fifteen healthy men (aged 31.87±3.14 years old, body mass index 23.77±2.47 kg/m2) undergone three “Fitness Boxing” Nintendo Switch™ playing modes in the same order: (1) single player-normal tempo, (2) single player-fast tempo and (3) versus. During playing, participant’s HR was monitored using Polar H10 heart rate sensor. Blood pressure was measured before and after playing. Borg’s RPE and VAS were collected after playing. Results: Our results showed significant heart rate and systolic blood pressure increase (p = 0.001) in all three playing conditions, whereas diastolic blood pressure was relatively constant (p > 0.05). The Borg’s RPE were in 12-13 range (moderate) and %HRmax range between 72- 81% (vigorous). The enjoyment level was found greatest in versus mode compared to other playing modes. Conclusion: VR EXG Nintendo Switch™ “Fitness Boxing” can elicit immediate cardiovascular responses and provides an enjoyable moderate to vigorous PA intensity in healthy male adults, and can be used to meet the weekly PA recommendations.

Introduction: Interactions within the family will determine the behavior of adolescents. Lack of interaction in adolescents is a risk factor for adolescent behaving deviant, among others, unmerried sexual and aggressive behaviors. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between parental interaction and the premarital sexual and aggressive behavior among adolescents. Methods: A cross-sectional approach was taken. The sample consisted of 744 adolescents from junior high school and senior high school in Java Island aged 13 - 19 years old who had completed a Google form. The independent variable was parent interaction while the dependent variable was premarital sexual and aggressive behaviors. The PACHIQ-R questionnaire was used for measuring parent interaction. While the dependent variable was using checklist questionnaire. The data was analyzed using Spearman Rank correlation with a level of significance α=0.05. Abstrak Latar Belakang : Gizi kurang dan buruk pada balita dapat mengakibatkan terganggunya pertumbuhan jasmani dan kecerdasan anak. Angka kejadian gizi buruk tertinggi terjadi di Puskesmas Simomulyo Surabaya sebanyak 35 balita pada tahun 2016. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menentukan hubungan Pola Pemberian Makan, Sosial Ekonomi dan Riwayat BBLR dengan Status Gizi Balita. Metode: Penelitian cross sectional ini dilakukan di Kelurahan Simomulyo Baru Surabaya. Populasi dalam penelitian ini seluruh balita usia 12-59 bulan di Kelurahan Simomulyo Baru Kota Surabaya sebanyak 3036 balita. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 130 balita pada RW 5 dan RW 6 dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara simple random sampling. Pengambilan data dengan kuesioner. Data dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Hasil: Status Gizi Bermasalah sebagian besar terjadi pada balita dengan pola pemberian makan yang kurang yaitu 34 balita (97,1%). Pendidikan terakhir ibu balita status gizi bermasalah sebagian besar berpendidikan tinggi yaitu sebanyak 47 orang (49,0%). Pekerjaan ibu balita status gizi bermasalah sebagian besar tidak bekerja sebanyak 52 orang (49,5%). Balita status gizi bermasalah hampir setengahnya terjadi pada keluarga dengan pendapatan rendah yaitu sebanyak 41 keluarga (58,6%). Balita yang mengalami status gizi bermasalah sebagian besar terjadi pada balita dengan riwayat BBLR cukup bulan saat lahir yaitu sebanyak 23 balita (88,5%). Berdasarkan hasil uji Chi-Square didapatkan hasil pemberian makan (p-value =0,001), pendidikan ibu (p-value=0,561), pekerjaan ibu (p-value=0,320), pendapatan keluarga (p-value =0,005), dan riwayat BBLR (p-value =0,001) dengan α=0,05. Kesimpulan: Pola pemberian makan, pendapatan dan riwayat BBLR berhubungan dengan status gizi balita. Sedangkan pendidikan ibu dan pekerjaan ibu tidak berhubungan dengan status gizi balita. The highest incidence of malnutrition occurred in Simomulyo Health Center Surabaya as many as 35 children in 2016. The aim of the research was determine the relationship between Feeding Patterns, Social Economy and LBW History with Nutritional Status Toddlers. Method : This cross-sectional study was conducted in Simomulyo Baru Village Surabaya. The population in this study were all toddlers aged 12-59 months in Simomulyo Baru Village, Surabaya, as many as 3036 toddlers. The sample used was 130 toddlers in RW 5 and RW 6 with the sampling technique using simple random sampling. Retrieving data with a questionnaire. Data were analyzed statistically using the Chi-Square test . Results : Troubled Nutritional Status mostly occurred in children under five with poor feeding patterns, namely 34 toddlers (97.1%). The last education of mothers of children under five with a problematic nutritional status was mostly highly educated as many as 47 people (49.0%). The work of mothers of children under five with problematic nutritional status mostly did not work as many as 52 people (49.5%). Toddlers with problematic nutritional status almost half occur in families with low income as many as 41 families (58.6%). Most toddlers who have problematic nutritional status occur in infants with a history of LBW enough months at birth as many as 23 children (88.5%). Based on the Chi-Square test results obtained feeding results ( p-value = 0.001), mother’s education (p-value = 0.561), mother’s work ( p-value = 0.320), family income ( p-value = 0.005), and history LBW ( p-value = 0.001 ) with α=0,05. Conclusion : The pattern of feeding, income and history of LBW is related to the nutritional status of children. While mother’s education and mother’s work is not related to the nutritional status of children.

Introduction: Stunting is the accumulation of nutritional deficiency in a long time. This research has the objective to describe the knowledge, attitude, and action of feeding in stunting toddlers mothers in the Work Area of Tambak Wedi Public Health Center Surabaya. Methods: A descriptive observational study design was used. The population of this research was mothers who have stunting toddlers with total of 65 respondents. The sample total of this research was 60 respondents proportional sampling technique. The data was analyzed using descriptive analysis. Results: The result of this research shows that 37 respondents (61.6%) have less knowledge, 44 respondents (58.3%) have negative attitude and 35 respondents (58.3%) have inappropriate action. Conclusion: Behavior of feeding by the mother affects the status of the toddler, so it needs to increase mother’s knowledge, attitude, and action about feeding in toddlers. This research suggests that Public Health Center should provide information about feeding to stunting toddlers through health promotion activity.

This study aimed to investigate the potential influence of knowledge, attitude, and religiosity on consumers' purchase interest in halal restaurants in West Java. In addition, certain eateries emphasize the natural and cultural aspects of the region. The varied traditional cuisine, business centers, and the presence of Muslim communities make West Java an attractive destination for those seeking a religiously oriented and convenient dining experience. This study used primary data collected from 100 respondents through a questionnaire distributed via Google Forms. The study utilized purposive sampling, a type of non-probability sampling, and employed multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS version 29 for data analysis, the study was conducted in 3 stages, namely t-test, f-test, and coefficient of determination test. The findings indicate that attitude and religiosity factors influence consumer purchase intention at the halal restaurant. Conversely, knowledge was not proven to significantly affect public purchase intention at the halal restaurant in this study. This research has significant implications for halal restaurant owners. Halal restaurant owners in West Java can better understand the needs and preferences of Muslim consumers, strengthen their market position, and promote the growth of the halal industry in the region. Background: Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by SARS-CoV2, first detected in China in 2019. This disease causes respiratory infections and significantly impacts global health. Purpose: This study aims to analyze the risk factors for mortality in COVID-19 patients at Universitas Airlangga Hospital in 2021. Methods: This observational analytical study uses a case-control design, including 168 samples with 64 cases and 64 controls. Secondary data from patient medical records at Universitas Airlangga Hospital, including age, gender, education, comorbidities, oxygen saturation, and length of stay. Chi-square tests analyzed the data with a 95% confidence level (a=5%). Results: The analysis revealed significant associations between COVID-19 mortality and several factors. Age (p=0.01; OR=3.24; 95%CI=1.57-6.65), gender (p=0.01; OR=2.2; 95%CI=1.17-4.02), education (p=0.00; OR=2.40; 95%CI=1.11-5.40), comorbidities (p=0.08; OR=2.50; 95%CI=1.26-4.91), and oxygen saturation (p=0.00; OR=5.40; 95%CI=117.10-2490.06) were significantly associated with COVID-19 mortality. Oxygen saturation was the most influential factor (p=0.00; OR=901.73; 95%CI=120.75-6733.48) associated with mortality. Conclusion: Age, gender, education, comorbidities, and oxygen saturation significantly affect COVID-19 mortality rates. This study highlights the importance of monitoring and managing these risk factors in managing COVID-19 at Universitas Airlangga Hospital. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Meniran (Phyllanthus niruri Linn.) is a medicinal plant that can reduce obesity status, hypoglycemic, hypotensive, and have antioxidant activity. Meniran has been long used as a medicinal plant, but its utilization in a form of water infusion is still rare. This research is a continuation study which aims to identify the biomolecules that have antioxidant activity in water infusion of meniran. The making of water infusion of meniran requires drying process, which can be done by room temperature drying and sun drying. Phenol and fl avonoid compounds in meniran are assumed to have antioxidant activity. Both compounds are easily oxidized and isomerized due to sun exposure. It is assumed that the drying method will aff ect the presence of phenol and fl avonoid compounds and its antioxidant activity. The study began with the process of sun drying and room temperature without direct sun exposure. Then the extraction process used water soxhlet by soxhlet extraction method. The extract was then tested qualitatively using the DPPH IC50 method. The results of the qualitative analysis with meniran color visualization are positive containing fl avonoids and phenols. The results of quantitative analysis of meniran which are dried by sun drying; fl avonoids 0.90% w/w and 1.65% w/w phenols, in samples stored at room temperature: 2.00% w/w fl avonoids and phenol 56.16% w/w. The antioxidant activity of IC50-DPHH in extract concentrations (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 15, 20 ppm) of dried meniran at room temperature 18.48 ppm, sun drying cannot be determined.

The occurrence of low birth weight (LBW) can be reduced by optimizing gestational weight gain. However, the gestational weight cannot be monitored properly as there are a lot of mothers who receive Antenatal Care (ANC) less than four times as recommended by WHO. Therefore, this study aimed to determine whether early third trimester gestational weight could predict the incidence of LBW among newborns. A cross-sectional study was conducted using secondary data from Anny Rahardjo Maternity Clinic’s registry. A total of 278 eligible data of pregnant mothers who visited the clinic in 2017–2018 was chosen as study subjects. The mean for weight of birth was 3112.77 ± 384.40 g and early third trimester was 63.52 ± 11.07 kg. The prevalence of LBW was 3.2%. Early third trimester weight was found as the dominant factor of LBW after controlling the length of gestation. Early third trimester weight is signifi cantly correlated with LBW (p < 0.001). The optimum cutoff point was 59.8 kg with AUC = 0.68 (CI 95% = 0.52 – 0.83), sensitivity 67%, specifi city 63%, positive predictive value 5.66%, and negative predictive value 98.2%. The early third trimester weight is able to predict LBW with optimal cutoff value 59.8 kg.
