In this scenario of transformation in production routines, the question that guides the study seeks to register if the news production, in the context of health crisis, is resignifying traditional methods of production and dissemination of facts. The research investigates the news production process in the news program Bom Dia Mirante of TV Mirante, a Rede Globo affiliate in Maranhão. To this end, the period from March 02, 2020 to February 28, 2022 is analyzed to identify new practices that have emerged in the production routine as a result of social distancing and prevention measures. In addition, it will observe the uses and appropriations of journalists in relation to digital devices in the production of news; and it will also register the perceptions of professionals about the new routine in this period. In the light of the theories of Newsmaking (WOLF, 2001) and Gatekeeping (SHOEMAKER, 2011), the study analyzes how events become news and, supported by Becker (2016), we observe the reinvention of television news nowadays. This is a qualitative research that also takes advantage of participant observation (PERUZZO, 2005) and the in-depth interview technique (DUARTE, 2010) carried out with professionals of the area who work in the production routine of Bom Dia Mirante. We conclude, then, that the pandemic changed traditional practices in the production routine of the news program, such as the exacerbated use of audiovisual materials produced by sources and viewers, far beyond spontaneous submissions. There was also the adoption of online interviews in the program, in addition to WhatsApp as the main tool for internal communication, with sources and audience, for sending collaborative material. The study also identified that telejournalism adapts to the most adverse conditions imposed to fulfill its social role of informing, signaling new formats that should remain after seven decades of crystallized practices in Brazilian journalism. RESUMO Esta pesquisa tem o objetivo de entender as mudanças no telejornalismo regional maranhense durante a pandemia da Covid-19, fenômeno ainda em curso. Nesse cenário de transformação nas rotinas de produção, a pergunta que norteia o estudo busca registrar se a produção noticiosa, no contexto de crise sanitária, está ressignificando métodos tradicionais de produção e de divulgação dos fatos. A pesquisa investiga o processo de produção de notícias no telejornal Bom Dia Mirante da TV Mirante, afiliada da Rede Globo no Maranhão. Para tanto, analisa-se o período de 02 de março de 2020 a 28 de fevereiro de 2022, para identificar novas práticas que surgiram na rotina produtiva resultantes do distanciamento social e das medidas de prevenção. Além disso, observar-se os usos e apropriações dos jornalistas em relação aos dispositivos digitais na produção de notícias; e ainda registra as percepções dos profissionais sobre a nova rotina neste período. À luz das teorias do Newsmaking (WOLF, 2001) e do Gatekeeping (SHOEMAKER, 2011), o estudo analisa como os acontecimentos se transformam em notícia e, amparados em Becker (2016), observa-se a reinvenção dos noticiários televisivos na atualidade. Esta é uma pesquisa qualitativa que também se aproveita da observação participante (PERUZZO, 2005) e da técnica de entrevista em profundidade (DUARTE, 2010) realizadas com profissionais da área que atuam na rotina produtiva do Bom Dia Mirante. Concluímos, então, que a pandemia mudou práticas tradicionais na rotina produtiva no referido telejornal, como uso exacerbado de materiais audiovisuais produzidos pelas fontes e telespectadores muito além do envio espontâneo. Houve ainda a adoção da entrevista on-line no programa, além do WhatsApp como principal ferramenta de comunicação interna, com as fontes e audiência, para o envio de material colaborativo. O estudo também identificou que o telejornalismo se adapta às mais adversas condições impostas para cumprir o seu papel social de informar, sinalizando novos formatos que devem permanecer após sete décadas de práticas cristalizadas no jornalismo brasileiro.

Among the contents sent are: videos, photos and/or agenda suggestions. These individuals have assumed the role of co-producer of the news and act as if they were. The research also aims to understand why these people help the TV journalist in the production of the news, even though they are not mentioned and even less receive financial incentive. With an interactionist approach, the empirical development of the work presents a quali- quantitative methodology. As the work is based on symbolic interactionism (BLUMER, 1980); (WEXLER, 1983), we understand that it is of fundamental importance to carry out an in-depth study on qualitative issues, which are based on the individual's social interaction. As a method, it was necessary to use the Survey collection technique, with the being able to 'find' this participatory public and carry out the mapping (BUENO, 2012); (BIEMBENGUT, 2008) of these individuals. And as an interactionist technique, we made use of semi-structured interviews with 10 citizens who participate, or have participated, with the city's television news. It is important to emphasize that this research is based on the relationship of the common citizen who participates with the newsrooms of television news, from the point of view of these individuals and not of the journalist. Among the main results, we found that the vast majority participate with television news programs since they believe in the 'power' they have to help the population in solving community problems. Esta dissertação analisa a participação dos cidadãos com os telejornais de Imperatriz (MA) e possui como objetivo entender qual a pretensão do cidadão comum em colaborar com a construção da notícia com o envio de conteúdo produzido por ele mesmo e que julga ser importante para ser transmitido. Entre os conteúdos enviados estão: vídeos, fotos e/ou sugestões de pauta. Esses indivíduos assumiram o papel de 'coprodutor' da notícia e agem como se assim fossem. A pesquisa também tem como finalidade compreender o porquê dessas pessoas auxiliarem o jornalista de televisão na produção noticiosa, mesmo não sendo mencionadas e muito menos recebendo incentivo financeiro. Com uma abordagem interacionista, o desenvolvimento empírico do trabalho apresenta metodologia quali-quantitativa. Como o trabalho é baseado no interacionismo simbólico (BLUMER, 1980); (WEXLER, 1983), entendemos que é de fundamental importância fazer um estudo aprofundado nas questões qualitativas, que são baseadas na interação social do indivíduo. Como método, fez-se necessário utilizar a técnica de coleta Survey, com o intuito de podermos 'encontrar' este público participativo e fazer o mapeamento (BUENO, 2012); (BIEMBENGUT, 2008) destes indivíduos. E como técnica interacionista, fizemos uso das entrevistas semiestruturadas com 10 cidadãos que participam, ou já participaram, com os telejornais da cidade. É importante ressaltar que esta pesquisa é baseada na relação do cidadão comum que participa com as redações dos telejornais, a partir do ponto de vista desses indivíduos e não do jornalista. Dentre os principais resultados, constatamos que a grande maioria participa com os telejornais uma vez que acreditam no 'poder' que estes possuem de ajudar a população na solução de problemas da comunidade.

The purpose of the research is turning our gaze to those who have an essential role in the mediation between clippings from the regional reality and the journalistic product. In this way, we can see the need to analyze how the professionals who work daily in the construction of the broadcasters’ newscasts understand the regional journalism, through their production routines. In view of this, the question that guides this research is: How is the regional journalism understood and structured by the communication professionals from the TV stations in Maranhão? In order to answer this question, this dissertation has as specific goals: 1) Mapping the distribution of the television system in the state of Maranhão from TV Mirante and TV Difusora broadcasters; 2) Verifying what characteristics the regional journalism has from the perspective of the professionals of the two vehicles; and 3) Identifying aspects of the production routine of the professionals in a regional environment. In all, 18 professionals who operate in the broadcasters' locations were interviewed. The main reasons that led to the investigation of TV Mirante and TV Difusora were due to the fact they were linked to the two largest media conglomerates in Maranhão, and because they had a significant reach, both in terms of coverage and structure. In addition, a mapping of the operational and journalistic organization of the two broadcasters was carried out, seeking to identify how they are distributed in the state. In the empirical part of this paper, the qualitative research method was used with the aid of two research techniques, document analysis and in-depth interviews, which were carried out with the editors-in-chief and producers of the two communication vehicles. The results found by the mapping point to the strong connection of the vehicles with political groups, the reduction of newsrooms that interfere in the manifestation and exercise of the regional journalism, the precariousness of journalistic work and the centralization of content production in the state capital. The main findings, from the interviews, indicate that the professionals even understand in theory how the regional journalism works and the impact of its exercise on people's lives; however, the reduction of teams and the low financial investment limit the regional coverage of the newscasts, especially in the locations in the countryside, where the lack of more equipment, professionals and structure causes dependence of the network head, affecting the plural production of regional content. Esta dissertação tem como finalidade compreender o conceito de jornalismo regional a partir das estruturas e percepção dos profissionais de comunicação das redações da TV Mirante, afiliada da Rede Globo, e TV Difusora, afiliada do SBT, do Maranhão. O intuito da pesquisa é destinar o olhar para quem possui função imprescindível na mediação entre recortes da realidade regional e produto jornalístico. Dessa maneira, vê-se a necessidade de analisar de que modo os profissionais que trabalham diariamente na construção dos telejornais das emissoras entendem o jornalismo regional, por meio de suas rotinas de produção. Em vista disso, a pergunta que norteia esta pesquisa é: Como o jornalismo regional é compreendido pelos profissionais de comunicação e estruturado a partir das emissoras de TV do Maranhão? A fim de responder o questionamento, esta dissertação tem como objetivos específicos: 1) Mapear a distribuição do sistema de televisão do estado do Maranhão a partir das emissoras TV Mirante e TV Difusora; 2) Verificar quais características que o jornalismo regional possui a partir da visão dos profissionais dos dois veículos; e 3) Identificar aspectos da rotina de produção dos profissionais em ambiente regional. Ao todo foram entrevistados 18 profissionais que operam nas praças das emissoras. Os principais motivos que levaram a investigação das TV Mirante e TV Difusora deram-se por serem ligadas aos dois maiores conglomerados de mídia do Maranhão, e por terem alcance significativo, tanto de cobertura como de estrutura. Além disso, foi realizado um mapeamento da organização operacional e jornalística das duas emissoras, procurando identificar como se distribuem no estado. Na parte empírica deste trabalho foi utilizado o método de pesquisa qualitativa com o auxílio de duas técnicas de pesquisa, análise documental e entrevistas em profundidade, que foram realizadas com os editores-chefes e produtores dos dois veículos de comunicação. Os resultados encontrados pelo mapeamento apontam a forte ligação dos veículos com grupos políticos, enxugamento de redações que interferem na manifestação e no exercício do jornalismo regional, precarização do trabalho jornalístico e centralização da produção de conteúdo na capital do estado. Os principais achados, a partir das entrevistas, indicam que os profissionais até compreendem na teoria como funciona o jornalismo regional e o impacto do seu exercício na vida das pessoas, todavia, a redução de equipes e o baixo investimento financeiro limitam a cobertura regional dos telejornais, sobretudo nas praças do interior, em que a falta de mais equipamentos, profissionais e estrutura fazem com que haja dependência da cabeça de rede, afetando a produção plural de conteúdo regional.
