Abstract

A idade ao corte é considerada o principal fator a afetar o valor nutritivo das forragens. Objetivou-se avaliar e comparar a cinética de degradação ruminal da matéria seca (MS), proteína bruta (PB) e fibra insolúvel em detergente neutro (FDN) das silagens de capim Andropogon gayanus obtidas em três diferentes idades de corte (56, 84 e 112 dias). As amostras das silagens secas e trituradas (5 mm) foram incubadas em sacos de nylon no rúmen por 0, 6, 12, 24, 48 e 72 h. Os parâmetros da cinética de degradação das silagens de cada tratamento (3 silagens) em cada animal (5 vacas) foram determinados pelo modelo: y = a + b(1 − e−c(t−L)). Os parâmetros gerados pela equação foram analisados como blocos inteiramente ao acaso, sendo que as idades de corte foram inseridas como efeito fixo e os animais como efeito aleatório (blocos). Abstract

Estudou-se o efeito da suplementação com misturas múltiplas sobre o consumo, digestibilidade e desempenho de novilhos Nelore, em pastagens de Brachiaria brizantha Cv. Marandu, submetidos a quatro tratamentos. No tratamento um (T1), cada animal recebeu 800g/dia de suplemento contendo uréia como fonte de nitrogênio não protéico (NNP); no tratamento dois (T2), recebeu 800g/dia de mistura na qual a uréia foi substituída por amiréia como fonte de NNP; no tratamento três (T3), recebeu 1500g/dia de uma mistura com amiréia; e no tratamento quatro (T4= controle), recebeu sal mineral. Seis animais por tratamento foram utilizados para se medir o consumo pela técnica de indicador externo (óxido crômico), e 10 animais foram usados na avaliação de ganho de peso. The article discusses a study that forms an equation to calculate the volume of gases produced using the pressure data received from in vitro fermentation of substrate incubated in F57 bags. Highlights include chemical composition of forage samples from the whole plant and plant fractions of the sweet sorghum variety, a needle used for estimating the volume and pressure of the gases, and a diagram of the equipment used for measuring pressure and volume of the gases during in vitro fermentation.

Abstract

The article reports on a study on the effects of sorghum BRS-610 grain silages as it reached maturity stage after 56 days of fermentation conducted at National Research Center of Corn and Sorghum, Minas Gerais, Brazil from 2005 to 2006. The study shows that the quality of fermentation and nutritional value is relative to grain maturity stage as it indicates that milky to dough and dough stages show good fermentation quality and nutritional value.
