Esta tese apresenta uma etnografia musical do funk na cidade de São Paulo. A pesquisa aconteceu em três espaços onde a música funk é um elemento central: a Liga do Funk, estúdios de gravação e fluxos num bairro periférico da Zona Sul. A Liga do Funk foi minha porta de entrada na pesquisa de campo e representou uma interface política de legitimação do funk como expressão cultural periférica. Jovens provenientes de todas as bordas da cidade se reuniam semanalmente no prédio da Ação Educativa para performarem seus funks, para rodas de conversa, aulas de canto e dança. Nessas reuniões, experiências de vida muito similares compartilhadas entre os jovens frequentadores forjaram identidades territoriais ligadas à música e ao pertencimento à favela. Favela aqui entendida como localidade de dimensões geográficas e territoriais, mas também simbólicas e sentimentais. A partir deste entendimento do funk como a música que identifica o pertencimento à favela, apresento a descrição e análise de fazeres musicais com jovens MCs e DJs dentro de estúdios. Discuti nossas trocas em estúdio a partir da ideia de musicalidade, que se desdobrou em noções de bimusicalidade (HOOD, 1960) e multimusicalidade. O fazer musical em estúdio produz fonogramas, que são interpretados aqui como índices artísticos sob a luz da teoria da agência de Alfred Gell (2018). Tratei das relações entre elementos humanos (orgânicos) e não-humanos (maquínicos) desse fazer musical inspirado também na teoria do ator-rede de Bruno Latour (2001, 2009 e 2012). A tese traz também a etnografia dos fluxos que foram a configuração festiva de funk mais importante de São Paulo nos anos 2010. Descrevo a corporalidade da festa destacando a centralidade dos sistemas de som nesse \"musicar\" (SMALL, 1998). Analiso a festa a partir de uma perspectiva sensorial corpórea, descrevendo o que me aconteceu nos fluxos. Trago ao debate a metáfora da \"neblina\" utilizada por um importante interlocutor na favela onde vivi, para analisar minha presença na comunidade, e o lugar do funk e do mundo do crime no tecido social. This thesis presents a musical ethnography of funk in the city of São Paulo. The research took place in three spaces where funk music is a central element: the Funk League, recording studios and fluxos (Portuguese word that can be translated as flows) in a peripheral neighborhood of the South Zone. The Funk League was my gateway to field research and represented an interface of legitimization of funk as a peripheral cultural expression. Young people from all over the city gathered weekly in the building of Ação Educativa to perform their funks, for conversation circles, singing and dance classes. In these meetings, very similar life experiences shared among the young visitors forged territorial identities linked to music and belonging to the favela (Portuguese word that can be translated as slum). Favela understood here as a location with geographical and territorial dimensions, but also symbolic and sentimental. Based on this understanding of funk as the music that identifies belonging to the favela, I present the description and analysis of musical activities with young MCs and DJs inside studios. I discussed our exchanges in the studio based on the idea of musicality, which unfolded into notions of bimusicality (HOOD, 1960) and multimusicality. Musical making in the studio produces phonograms, which are interpreted here as artistic indexes in the light of Alfred Gell\'s agency theory (2018). I dealt with the relationships between human (organic) and non-human (machinic) elements of this musical making also inspired by Bruno Latour\'s actor-network theory (2001,2002, 2009 and 2012). The thesis also brings the ethnography of the fluxos that were the most important festive funk setting in São Paulo in the years 2010. I describe the corporeality of the party, highlighting the centrality of sound systems in this \"musicking\" (SMALL, 1998). I analyze the party from a bodily sensory perspective, describing what happened to me in the flows. I bring to the debate the metaphor of the \"fog\" used by an important interlocutor in the favela where I lived, to analyze my presence in the community, and the place of funk and the world of crime in the social fabric.
