Background: family planning is considered a fundamental pillar in the sexual and reproductive health of human beings, due to its correlation with the decrease in rates of both maternal and perinatal mortality. In this sense, knowledge of the subject, predisposition or attitude and the practices carried out are closely related, so their study is very important when proposing public health policies. Objective: to determine knowledge, attitudes and practices on contraception in students of the Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences of the University of Cuenca in 2023. Methodology: across-sectional descriptive study was carried out, with a sample of 321 research subjects. The questionary developed by Balarezo and Cols (2022, PUCE, Quito-Ecuador) was applied and was based on that of Zúñiga and Cols (2021, Nicaragua), the same that considers the Medical Eligibility Criteria for the Use of Contraceptive Methods issued by the World Health Organization. The information was processed in SPSS 25 (trial version). The results are presented in simple and contingency tables. Results: the study shows that most of the investigated subjects have a bad level of knowledge about contraceptive methods, however, favorable attitudes prevail, while good practices characterize 57.6%. Conclusion: the level of knowledge and practices of the students was bad, recurring more frequently in women. For their part, both groups presented good attitudes.

Background: sexual fantasies (SF) are spontaneous manifestations, which have not been given the importance they deserve, as they are a stigmatized sexual area with a variety of taboos rooted in society. Objective: determine the types of sexual fantasies and associated factors in health personnel in the Gualaceo – Chordeleg district, 2023. Methods: observational, analytical and cross-sectional study. 210 health professionals from the Gualaceo – Chordeleg Health District participated, who met the inclusion criteria. A form was applied with the validated version of the Wilson Sexual Fantasies Scale (SFQ). The data obtained were analyzed in the SPSS version 15 program. Descriptive statistics and median differences were used using the Mann Whitney U. The information was presented using custom tables. Results: the most frequent exploratory fantasy was having a sexual act with people of a different race with 19.5%; Of the intimate FS, 85.7% specified that the sexual act in a place other than the bedroom was the most common. Regarding interpersonal FS, viewing pornographic images or movies stood out, with 54.8%; Exposing oneself provocatively was the most relevant sadomasochistic fantasy, with 45.7%. A statistical relationship was observed between being a woman and heterosexual, with a low level of FS. Conclusions: various FS were presented, both exploratory, intimate, interpersonal and sadomasochistic. A statistical association was found with the low level of FS and the fact of being a heterosexual woman.

Background: Sexual pleasure, including autoerotism, is source of physical, psychological and spiritual wellness, it’s a human sexual right. However, masturbation masturbation has historically been reviled and has been surrounded by mistaken beliefs. Two important factors in increasing or decreasing sexual satisfaction are: attitudes and values toward sexuality; and the wealth of sexual practices, including including non-coital ones Objective: Relate Attitudes toward masturbation and its connection to sexual satisfaction. Methodological design: Quantitative, analytical correlational, cross-sectional, 215 voluntary workers answered a sociodemographic form, the Spanish short version of Negative Attitudes Toward Masturbation Inventory (NATMI) and the Subjective Sexual Satisfaction (ESSS). A convenience sampling was performed among all Hospital Homero Castanier Crespo’s workers on 2022. Data analysis was performed in SPSS. Results: Correlation between Attitudes toward masturbation and sexual satisfaction was negatively and significantly related (rho= -.252, p=.000) Conclusions: Negative attitudes toward masturbation are related to subjective sexual satisfaction in the study group. Findings imply the need to expand the investigation to larger samples, in all the country, considering all the involved sociodemographic factors.

This titling project called "9 Moons", in conjunction with illustrated digital art, responds to the main objective: create an illustrated manual to sensitize young people of Cuenca about what is teenage pregnancy, showing a new conception and an information tool to avoid pregnancies at a young age, to promote awareness actions aimed at young adolescents in the city of Cuenca, presenting the main causes and consequences that young women have as mothers. This will also offer information on how to live and enjoy of a healthy responsible reproductive life and the rights that it entails.

The purpose of this study is to identify the level of internalization of gender stereotypes, sexism and violence in the students` relationships from the Jurisprudence and Philosophy Faculties of the University of Cuenca. A quantitative, descriptive-correlational research was conducted with a sample of 649 students. To obtain the information, it was applied the Questionnaire on internalization of gender stereotypes prepared by Colás and Villaciervos (2010), the ASI Ambivalent Sexism Inventory (Cárdenas et al., 2010) and the Modified Version of the Tactics Scale for Conflicts (Muñoz-Rivas et al., 2007). As a result, men and women obtained a higher level of internalization of gender stereotypes in the dimensions of social behavior (53.2%) and affective expression (44.5%). With respect to the level of benevolent sexism, a general percentage of 31.8% and 39% was obtained for hostile sexism. With respect to the level of violence in relationships, it was obtained that verbal argumentation prevails over other forms of violence. It is established that there are significant differences between men and women regarding the internalization of gender stereotypes in the body, affective expression and social responsibility in which men have a higher level of gender stereotypes. On the issue of sexism, men have a higher level of benevolent and hostile sexism than women. And with respect to the violence of couple relationships, greater physical aggression is seen on men.

This research proposes the study of new forms of machisms and their patriarchal expression in the exercise of powers in Public Institutions of Cuenca, in the years 2014-2017; to make visible the existence of more subtle and naturalized gender discrimination, which puts a “glass ceiling” on the leaders, decision makers and autonomies of women in work spaces. With this thesis work I intend to make visible that sexism and discrimination against women persist, especially in public institutions, where they can appear in an open or veiled manner. With an analysis based on a personal experience about how women are still excluded from senior management positions where decision-making occurs, meeting what is known as a glass ceiling. Women in public office are questioned and evaluated almost daily, almost without the right to be mistaken, they are subject to misogynistic behaviors, showing that what women do or say is not relevant. This problem is especially linked to public management spaces, where women are living in situations of subtle discrimination that prevent them from advancing in their leadership and decision making. Therefore, by means of the present investigation it will be possible to show how common this practice is that puts a glass ceiling and a sticky floor to the aspirations of women; since care issues are still mostly in charge of them.
