And so yes, while it did weaken, we are still getting in on some pretty heavy effects, that heavy wind and heavy rain still coming down right now. And it will continue with a big threat going to be that flash flooding. Overnight, large and destructive waves lashing Bermuda's coast, marinas deserted, most cruise ships pulling out, too, ahead of the storm. The airport at this hour is closed. ROB MARCIANO (ABC NEWS) (Off-camera) Good morning, guys. Such a powerful storm this is, and rocketing off the north and east, now 190 miles away from Bermuda. So we're starting to calm things down just a little bit, but it's moving towards Nova Scotia. And they have a tropical storm watch that's out for later on today. Bt the way, the US will be impacted with some big swells and some rip tides as well. So here is the track as we go through, but it made a direct hit on Bermuda. I mean when you think about the size of this little island, 15 miles across. And the expanse of the Atlantic Ocean, the odds of this making a direct hit like it did, just astronomical. And there it is right there. Experiencing it all for us is Gio Benitez on the ground in Bermuda. And no doubt, Gio, that it was a surreal but very, very scary night last night. Good morning to you.
