In the case of electric railway vehicles of surface, the equipments which allow power supply are placed on their bodywork. The mode to dispose these equipments contributes to increase the resistance to motion of the vehicle due to the variation cross-section area. Gusts of wind that occurs during the movement of vehicles lead to increased aerodynamic forces. As a model analyzed, we considered the situation determined by the dispose of the equipments supply on the body of electric locomotive type LE 060 EA of 5100 kW, when such a vehicle is travelling with the first post station in the driving direction. The equipment’s components of supply were modeled geometric at scale 1: 1 in 3D. The obtained assembly was imported in an air flow simulation program to determine the aerodynamic resistances. To observe which is the influence of the gusts wind regarding the resistance to moving we considered five point values for wind speed: 5m / s, 10m / s, 15m / s, 20m / s and 25m / s. With results of the simulations we performed a comparative analysis.

This paper analyzes the influence of ChangJiu High-speed Railway on power quality. Compared with the traditional AC-DC electric locomotive, AC-DC-AC electric locomotive has been widely used in High-speed Railway which harmonic content decreased significantly, power factor also improved. Based on the RTDS simulation, voltage sags have not been caused when electric locomotive is starting.

The core design of the control cabinet is the peripheral circuit and hardware design which is based on DSP. The high power experiments prove the reliability of design.

The paper introduces the structure of locomotive energy consumption monitoring system, technical parameters and the method of software design. The system uses electric energy metering chip CS5463, ARM kernel STM32F103R8T6, GPRS wireless communication module and RS485 communication interface to realize the multi-system locomotive AC and DC measurement, remote meter reading and other devices and locomotive communication connection. The liquid crystal display LCD stores the locomotive power information, the current, voltage, power and energy data with their own real-time clock time-sharing data fragmentation such as type test on the system, the system of high precision, strong anti-interference ability, low power consumption, safety etc.

Transportation is an important part of industrial production systems, with serious energy consumption and environmental pollution. In this study, environment impact of road transportation, river freight in the Yangtze River, and railway transportation was established and analyzed by life cycle assessment method. The analysis results show that CO2 is the largest emission of pollutants for freight transport in China. abiotic depletion potential (ADP) of electric locomotives significantly lower than the other five kinds of shipping methods, only 3.2% of diesel locomotive, 3.9% of the Yangtze barges fleet; 1.2% of the Yangtze Cargo vessel, 0.2% of heavy-duty trucks and 0.1% of light-duty trucks. The results show that accomplishing the same cargo turnover, light-duty truck has the largest environmental impact, while the Electric locomotive freight has the minimum environmental impact. Although the environmental impact of river freight transport is greater than rail transport, but it is far less than road transport.

The operation control of coke oven electric locomotive is an essential component of automatic control of coking manufacture. It is the main problem that coking enterprises should deal with in order to ensure the safety of production. In order to change and improve the actuality of manual driving, low positioning precision, high labor intensity and low producing efficiency, this paper proposes a practical and reliable automatic control scheme of electric locomotive based on successful experiences domestic and oversea.This scheme solves the key problem of electric locomotive automatic control-precision positioning, which containes a three-laser contraposition sensor and a positioning and lightproof piece used to ensure the accuracy of parking position detection, and a segmented deceleration control method used to ensure the automatism of parking brake. According to calculations and analysis, it is shown that the scheme could meet the system precision positioning requirements.

Being the charging of inefficient and long time, the current charging for the Outburst Prediction Instrument has great damage to the battery. A new battery charger for mining electric locomotive is developed based on Intelligent technology. Adopt new Buck topology, based on the best charging of the curve, wave picking intermittent plus-minus zero pulses used in charging method, intelligent control techniques implement functions such as data collection, complex control algorithm, PWM output control. According to the detection of the battery state automatically adjusting the parameter of the charging, realize the battery recharge and polarization discharge. The charger uses the improved variable current intermittent charge method to charge batteries. The experimental show that the charger has advantages of small size, light weight, easy use, high efficiency and less maintenance.

In the electricity draws control system, the change of Low-velocity area of Rs will bring about a series of problem, especially the stator current and flux, will cause the distortion of the speed pulse vibration. The test discussed control scheme and optimization designs of asynchronous draw motors from exchange transmission electric locomotive operation characteristic demand. It adopts control strategy of neural network direct torque control (DTC) to control electricity draw the locomotive, to analyze the reacting of starting and sudden change of load, verifying this method may effectively improve the dynamic performance of the asynchronous motor, got up the very good inhibitory action to the low speed area torque pulsation. Thus the simulation results have proven the neural network DTC control strategy feasibility.

In order to improve the efficiency and environment-friendliness of urban rail vehicles, a new hybrid electric locomotive is proposed. The general structure of the proposed hybrid electric locomotive is given and analyzed from a dynamics point of view. The calculation method of power output and its allocation strategy is discussed. A simulation is conducted in HELSP(Hybrid Electric Locomotive Simulation Platform) to verify the performance of the power allocation strategy. The result indicates that the function of allocating power can be properly realized, and the regeneration energy from frequent braking can be absorbed by the power storage of the vehicle.

To avoid safety hazards in the mine electric locomotive transporting, designed an anti-collision warning system for electric locomotive. The system took MCU AT89C52 as core controller, including ranging module, speed measuring module, display module, warning module and anti-interference design. The system used ultrasonic sensor and incremental rotary encoder respectively to measure distance and velocity, and then obtained the distance and velocity data through MCU AT89C52. Through analyzing these data, the system can alarm and stop the locomotive, and then ensure the safety of locomotive and workers. Therefore, the system has a very good market prospect.

Applying BP neural network improved by GA to build a nonlinear multi-objective model between formulation ingredient and mechanical properties of electric locomotive pantograph carbon slide. And on the basis of test data improved neural network is trained; finally we can get a genetic neural network model. Therefore, when given specific formulation of carbon slide plate, it is able to predict the corresponding mechanical properties. The research shows that the trained genetic neural network can accurately predict relevant properties of carbon slide plate and be confirmed the practical significance of the algorithm.

This document presents a solution for controlling a permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) for the coal mine of DC lines of electric locomotive using the Texas Instruments (TI) TMS320C2407A digital signal processor (DSP). The control method presented relies on the vector control technology and space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) technology, the control algorithm maintains efficiency in a wide range speed. This document describes the structure features of the converter, power electronics, the keyboard display and the auxiliary power supply, hardware implementation and software design. Experimental results show that the system has better static and dynamic performance, completely fits the DC lines of electric locomotive operation. This document describes a practical solution and corresponding result, and this research has been applied successfully in practical work.

The high-speed railway based on electromechanical integration develops rapidly in China in recent years. In order to improve research for electrified railway, a model of AC-DC-AC electric locomotive is established using electro- magnetic transient software PSCAD/EMTDC. In this paper, a single-phase tri-level rectifier of unit power factor and its control strategy of direct transient current control method are introduced at first. And then the working principles of the voltage space vector control strategy of inverter and the vector control strategy of cage motors are analyzed. The inverter and the motors must be as a whole because of the realization of motor vector control based on SVPWM inverter. At last, a model is established and the correctness and effectiveness of the model can be verified by the corresponding theory results. The simulation model is useful for the analysis of low frequency resonance in locomotives. The results will be applied in the research of mechanics and electric coupling in high speed electrified railway.

A safety network system is designed based on PROFIBUS-DP field bus, according to actual servicing work situation and control requirements for electric locomotive servicing work. The system realizes communication between first class master station and third equipment through using PROFIBUS-DP bus protocol. It also realizes interactive operation between slave station and non-contact IC card, meanwhile, slave station and MCU system. In addition, this article has analyzed the multi-task scheduling mechanism and data communication security on monitoring network system in detail as well. Results show that the system has higher application value through entire debugging and testing on network control system.

In practice, the large lever, connecting bolt, small lever pin, small lever and front support pin of the brake system of an electric locomotive often broken or fractured. According to the dynamic and static analysis, the maximum stress values of above-mentioned structures were close or exceeded their yield stress. It was consistent with the actual. Based on the result of finite element analysis, combined with the need of manufacturing process, the structure of those components was improved. Simulation and experiment results have indicated that the improved braking system has enough strength and stiffness.

novel pantograph sliding plate, the network of carbon-copper composites, composed of carbon fiber cloth, copper powder, graphite powder, et al. The physical and mechanical properties of the new samples were tested. Compared with the commonly used pantograph sliding plate, the novel one has lower resistivity, higher bending strength, enhanced impact toughness and better mechanical properties. The new material is suitable for producing the pantograph sliding plate of the electric locomotive.

Wheel/rail rolling noise is the main source of noise from railway operations, it is at least as important as aerodynamic noise. In this paper, the makeup of unit modules of CAE(Computer Aided Engineering) simulation platform for of railway passenger car and its function frame are given. Based on finite element method, boundary element method, the structural model, interior acoustic cavity and acoustics model of electric locomotive wheel were analyzed by Nastran and Sysnoise software. This paper is imposed sinusoidal excitation on the wheel, and then the laying of the viscoelastic layer and optimization of damping-wheel, obtain the wheel’s structure of the vibration noise radiation.The analysis result shows that the laying of the viscoelastic layer can reduce wheels radiation noise, and the noise can be reduced from 0.27 to 8.62 dB.Practical application indicated this simulation platform can supply effective technology support for the development of product.
