The article discusses how thousands of migrants who fled oppression in Burma have had to deal with potential death while crossing waterways such as the Andaman Sea and uncertainty while living in refugee camps in places such as Indonesia. According to the article, there are more than 50 million displaced people in the world as of June 2015. Bangladeshis fleeing poverty and ethnic Rohingyas escaping persecution are examined, as well as homeless boat people in Southeast Asia.
