This paper outlines the results of analysis of Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) depositions on filter elements of upstream II cascade compressor by means of X-ray and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopies, gel permeation chromatography and viscometry, differential scanning calorimetry and 13C NMR spectroscopy. Based on comparison with experimental data of process designers the supposition has been given to the cause of the formation.
