The article presents a study on how cross country regulators better deal with problematic lawyers and explains reasoning and actions of misbehaving lawyers. It highlights the problem with lawyer's discipline systems in which it considers initial sanctioning decision to examine how they process and react to discipline. It mentions that law firms in Australia and Great Britain engage in self-assessment and implement risk-based management systems to regulate lawyers to engage in misconduct.
