WORKMANSHIP , *DRESSAGE riders - Abstract
Dressage has been called the ability to get horses to dance. For the horse, everything depends on his athleticism, while for the rider, the skill involved is like playing a musical instrument. It takes physical ability, knowledge of the craft, and the capacity to imagine what can be made. The rider gives cues to the horse which it takes great balance and skill to make invisible. But it is the horse, with his natural sense of rhythm and grace, who emerges as the true craftsman. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
