The core of the fossil record of Teleosauridae, a family of thalattosuchian crocodylomorphs, is well known from western Tethyan marine deposits of the Jurassic. Outside this province, their fossil record is patchy and in need of revision, with specimens from Russia, Madagascar, and Asia. Peipehsuchus teleorhinus is known from the Early or Middle Jurassic of China and teleosaurid specimens have been mentioned or preliminarily described from two Jurassic localities in Thailand, yet they were not assigned to a given taxon. Thanks to recent field work, at least 10 individuals represented by cranial material were excavated and prepared from a single Jurassic locality known as Phu Noi in the lower Phu Kradung Formation of northeastern Thailand. Here, we describe these specimens, together with disarticulated postcranial elements, and erect a new taxon, Indosinosuchus potamosiamensis, gen. et sp. nov. Phylogenetic analyses confirm the teleosaurid affinities of the new species, which does not form an exclusive clade with the Chinese teleosaurid Peipehsuchus teleorhinus. The presence of teleosaurids at Phu Noi and a preliminary account of its faunal content favor a Middle to Late Jurassic age for the fossil-bearing horizon. In contrast, Cretaceous deposits in Thailand are characterized by goniopholidids and pholidosaurids, indicating a faunal turnover in Southeast Asia across the Jurassic–Cretaceous. As previously shown by isotope data, the new teleosaurid species was a resident of the freshwater environment and co-occurs with remains of exclusively terrestrial taxa such as sauropod, ornithopod, and theropod dinosaurs and freshwater tetrapods such as turtles and temnospondyls. Choristodera is a clade of freshwater aquatic reptiles with a strictly Laurasian distribution and a temporal record extending from at least Middle Jurassic to Miocene. The large Cretaceous–Eocene neochoristoderesChampsosaurusandSimoedosaurusare the most familiar taxa, but many smaller representatives have since been recognized. Neochoristoderes disappeared from the fossil record in the Eocene, but choristoderes survived into the European Neogene in the form of the small, superficially lizard-likeLazarussuchus. This taxon was originally described from the late Oligocene of France but has subsequently been recorded from the early Miocene of the Czech Republic and the late Oligocene of Germany. Despite its age, most phylogenetic analyses placeLazarussuchusat or close to the base of the choristoderan tree, implying a very long unrecorded history. A new specimen ofLazarussuchusfrom the late Paleocene locality of Menat, France, partly fills that hiatus. The genus was thus present in the waterways of western Europe for at least 30 Ma, and was probably considerably more widespread than current records suggest. A new phylogenetic analysis confirms its placement outside Neochoristodera, but the relationships of non-neochoristoderan taxa remain incompletely resolved. The article focuses on the presence of a maxillary depression in Pholidosauridae. Implications for a close relationship between Goniopholididae and Pholidosauridae are discussed on the basis of this character. The complete skull of Eutretauranosuchus cherifiensis has a shallow depression on the posterolateral corner of the maxilla. The skull of Pholidosaurus purbeckensis from the Purbeck Limestone Group of England is almost complete except for the anterior part of the rostrum but is dorsoventrally compressed.

The article focuses on the reappraisal of Gwawinaptrus beardi from the late Campanian marine strata of the Northumberland Formation of Hornby Island, British Columbia. The specie, which was considered as an istiodactylid pterosaur, regarded as the latest known toothed pterosaur in the world, however, its identification as pterosaur is erroneous and that it rather belongs to a saurodontid fish. It notes that the present interpretation of the specie is based on several anatomical observations and comparisons and further supported by the stratigraphic context of the fossil.

Isolated teeth of five hybodont taxa ( Hybodus sp., Parvodus sp., Lonchidion khoratensis nov. sp., Isanodus paladeji nov. gen., nov. sp., Heteroptychodus steinmanni ) are described from the freshwater Sao Khua Formation of Thailand (Lower Cretaceous). This Early Cretaceous fauna appears less endemic, with some European affinities, than the hybodont fauna found in Thailand in the more recent Aptian/Albian Khok Kruat Formation. Teeth of Isanodus paladeji (Lonchidiidae) and Heteroptychodus steinmanni (Ptychodontidae) share an unusual ornamentation pattern suggesting that the origin of the family Ptychodontidae is nested among Asian Lonchidiidae. Published reports of amber predating the Aptian are rare and mention only amber pieces the size of millimetric marbles. Mid Cretaceous amber records, however, show a dramatic increase in number as well as in the size of the pieces, a phenomenon which is still poorly understood. The discovery of the first Jurassic deposit with comparatively large centimetric sized pieces of amber, in southern Thailand, is significant. Taphonomy and palaeobotany indicate a dense forest surrounding a coastal lake dominated by the resin-producing Agathoxylon tree. Since the palaeoecology of other amber-producing Jurassic and Cretaceous deposits is very similar a new hypothesis needs to be sought to explain the mid Cretaceous amber boom. It is suggested here that it was the result of a geological or taphonomic bias because coastal lacustrine environments are much better preserved after the Aptian on a worldwide scale. In 1859 the French geologist Jules Desnoyers reported the discovery of vertebrate footprints in the Late Eocene gypsum of the Paris region. Although they attracted some attention at the time, those footprints were never illustrated or described in detail, and the present whereabouts of the specimens seem to be unknown. Several types of footprints were referable to animals known by skeletal elements from the gypsum, but some were not. Among the latter were tridactyl footprints of very large birds, which Desnoyers tentatively attributed to the giant ground bird Gastornis, which had been discovered in the Lower Eocene of the Paris region a few years earlier. Gastornithids are now known from the Paleocene to the Middle Eocene, but no skeletal remains of giant birds have yet been found in the Upper Eocene of Europe. The tracks of giant birds from the gypsum of the Paris region are thus an example of fossil footprints without known osteological counterparts, and the identity of the trackmakers remains an enigma.
