Two hundred seventy-five non-institutionalized senior citizen volunteers participated in this study that evaluated the impact of rural senior service centers on emotional and practical issues affecting elder consumers. Responses of participating seniors were compared to a similar group of seniors who did not participate. The findings indicated that there were significant differences between the two groups on issues of loneliness, nutrition, and overall quality of life. The article features the interest shown by some elderly persons in exploring arts in the U.S. It revealed that there are thousands of elderly persons in the country that engaged in pursuing similar set behaviors and routines. If given the chance to examine art technique, they would pursue their exploration in the said field. Because of sensory loss and physical deterioration, such attributes limit their access to the community. It is recommended that if authorities provide an extension program to elderly person, they should consider nutrition site feeding centers, nursing and convalescent centers and special housing areas for the elderly as sites for educational and recreational arts offering. It should also be structured in a way that is suitable to them.
