To determine whether the Angelo Bruno Business Library was meeting the needs of business faculty in the College of Business (COB) at The University of Alabama, and to measure the frequency of publishing via Open Access (OA) journals, a comprehensive citation analysis of business faculty (tenured/tenure-track/non-tenure track/clinical/instructor/etc.) publications was conducted for the years 2019 - 2020. There are other reasons, as well, for considering the exercise of a citation analysis. The following data were collected from Scopus: all citations from works listed by each faculty member per the COB Faculty and Staff Directory (each department in the COB was included), title of reference, authors, year of publication, source title, volume/issue, and publication type. The results were analyzed collectively as well as for each department. This study also determined how often OA journal titles were chosen as the outlet for publication. Only 24% of published works by COB authors during this time frame are OA. This research also revealed the dismal results that none of the 100 most-cited journals were OA. The primary objective of the study is to present a comprehensive review and citation analysis of publication data in the interrelated disciplines of "Business Ethics," "Corporate Governance," and "Corporate Social Responsibility." The publication data was obtained from the Clarivate Analytics Web of Science SSCI (Social Science Citation Index) and Elsevier Scopus for bibliometric and citation analysis. The data covers a time span of 2003–2023 for WoS and 1999–2023 for Scopus, with 306 documents for WoS and 347 documents for Scopus after suitable filtrations. The study further evaluates the differences in citation counts across Scopus, Web of Science (WoS), and Google Scholar (GS) for the common top 30 most cited articles based on the WoS and Scopus datasets. The most cited articles in the field are all relatively recent and published in high-impact journals. This suggests that this area is a growing and dynamic field of research. The findings of the study revealed publication trends, prominent journals, leading articles, the most productive countries, and the comparative citation analysis that has garnered significant contributions to the literature. The research publication is an excellent resource for researchers, scholars, and practitioners interested in learning about and contributing to this field. The 2023 Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded to Anne L'Huillier, Pierre Agostini, and Ferenc Krausz for their pioneering work using laser harmonics to observe attosecond-scale electron phenomena. L'Huillier pioneered the background experimental techniques in harmonics, Agostini provided an important analysis technique that confirmed the pulses were at the attosecond-scale, and Krausz was the first to isolate an attosecond pulse. Predatory publishing is the unethical and dishonest behavior of publishers who take advantage of researchers by charging them too much money and not providing good editing and peer-review services. Scholars, publishers and policymakers are seeking solutions to combat predatory publishing, which has become a major academic problem. This research paper provides a bibliometric analysis of the citation patterns and trends in the predatory publishing literature. The study analyzed the 100 top-cited papers on predatory publishing and provided insight into the types of documents, journals, authors, and countries that contributed to this field. The average citation per paper in the top 100 selected publications was 53.67. Open-access publications received a significantly higher average citation per paper than subscription-based papers. "Article" was the major type of document published, followed by "Notes," "Reviews" and "Editorials." Nature and Learned Publishing were the journals that contained the highest number of top-cited articles. J. Beall and D. Moher authored the highest number of papers, while A. Grudniewicz had the highest average citation per paper. USA and Canada were the top countries in these top-cited publications. In the past few years, the field of big data has multiplied, with more academic papers written about it. This bibliometric research was done to look at and understand the trends regarding countries, organizations, authors, and keywords that are creating the most publications and citations in big data. This study was done to understand the current state of scientific publications in the field. The research used Web of Science (WoS) database information from 1993 to 2021. The study of 32,085 papers showed that, on average, each document has 14.7 citations and 3.46 citations per year. According to the results, the United States, China, and the United Kingdom have the most scholarly publications about big data. The Chinese Academy of Science, Harvard University, and Stanford University were the three most productive groups. The scientific research output of individuals and institutions is commonly evaluated by the number of publications in journals with high impact factor and their corresponding citations. However, the interdisciplinary character of journals reporting advances in conservation science favors their spread over different categories of the Journal Citation Report (JCR). Here we report an analysis of the evolution of the impact factor, the percentile, and the citations on the JCR indexed conservation journals over the last ten years. Our analysis shows that of the 57 conservation journals indexed in the JCR, only eight of them have an impact factor. These journals are distributed across different categories in the Science Citation Index (SCI) and Social Science Citation Index (SSCI), and these categories are sometimes not suitable and decrease their metric impact. This analysis was complemented by a worldwide survey of conservation professionals on their opinions about publishing in these journals. The survey showed two different perspectives about conservation science journals in relation to the background and work of the responders. Conservators and restorers prefer conservation journals with case studies; while researchers prefer high-impact journals, even if they lie outside of the conservation area, so the overall impact factor of conservation journals remains low (low JIF, low Q values). Following academic globalization, successful integration into the international research community is a fundamental interest for all participating countries. The success of these internationalization processes, however, are often under scrutiny, and the results are rarely unequivocal. This holds true for Central and Eastern Europe, which usually is described as a semiperipheral region of global knowledge production. Analyzing the publication and citation indices of 365 Hungarian social scientists in one national (Hungarian Scientific Bibliography) and two global (Scopus, Google Scholar) databases, we explicate the current international impact of Hungarian academic research while exploring pivotal factors behind the major differences between databases. Our results indicate that Hungarian scholars lag behind their peers in neighboring countries, necessitating effective policy measures. To this end, the analysis recommends the use of standardized global publication databases instead of national datasets, while still acknowledging the shortcomings of the latter in research assessment protocols. Little is known about the existing gender disparities in library and information science research. The current study aims to analyze research articles from the Annals of Library and information studies journal from a gender perspective. The study looked at the author's position in relation to their gender, various patterns of collaboration, and if this has affected citations. This study also attempts to determine the male and female authors' research interests as the first author. The data were gathered from the Scopus database between 2011 and 2019 and were quantified using bibliometrics. Six distinct authorship patterns were recognized. The findings reveal men in first and last author positions constitute the highest research articles and citations indicating male authors to be more influential compared to females. Additionally, the study findings have provided an overview of the current state of women in library and information science research and highlighted areas where improvements can be made. Freely-available citation tools are popular with students because of their speed and convenience. Some offer the ability to copy and paste a URL and some only allow for manual entry of citation elements. This article offers an overview of the current landscape of freely-available online citation tools and some of the positives and negatives of each. Almost all of the citations these tools create require some editing in order to comply with the style guidelines used in academic writing but they are generally a useful resource for students. This paper provides information on the characteristics of the research output from the chemistry and biochemistry faculty publications at the University of Arkansas over a ten-year period (2011–2020). The faculty publications were used to identify (a) a core set of journals and other resources they are publishing in and citing over this period; (b) the characteristics of the journals in which they publish and cite (i.e., scatter of publications, Bradford distribution, major publishers, ranking and subject categories based on the Journal citation Reports (JCR); (3) the degree of openness of their publications; their citation advantage, if any, using both the Web of Science and SciFinder; and (4) the age of resources that are referenced. Based on the findings, the authors were able to gain a very good overview of the characteristics of the research publications and were able to identify how well the library is catering to those needs. In a series of three companion papers published in this Journal, we identify and validate the available thermal stress indicators (TSIs). In this first paper of the series, we conducted a systematic review (registration: INPLASY202090088) to identify all TSIs and provide reliable information regarding their use (funded by EU Horizon 2020; HEAT-SHIELD). Eight databases (PubMed, Agricultural and Environmental Science Collection, Web of Science, Scopus, Embase, Russian Science Citation Index, MEDLINE, and Google Scholar) were searched from database inception to 15 April 2020. No restrictions on language or study design were applied. Of the 879 publications identified, 232 records were considered for further analysis. This search identified 340 instruments and indicators developed between 200 BC and 2019 AD. Of these, 153 are nomograms, instruments, and/or require detailed non-meteorological information, while 187 can be mathematically calculated utilizing only meteorological data. Of these meteorology-based TSIs, 127 were developed for people who are physically active, and 61 of those are eligible for use in occupational settings. Information regarding the equation, operating range, interpretation categories, required input data, as well as a free software to calculate all 187 meteorology-based TSIs is provided. The information presented in this systematic review should be adopted by those interested in performing on-site monitoring and/or big data analytics for climate services to ensure appropriate use of the meteorology-based TSIs. The purpose of the paper is to report the findings of Saudi researchers' academic performance on the topic of COVID-19. In addition, the paper explored the contribution of Saudi Arabia in the area and how Saudi Arabia is doing compared to other Arab countries The study adopted bibliometrix R to map the literature on the topic published by Saudi scholars. A total number of 3242 documents were retrieved from the Web of Science database and examined Using the software to mine information about journals, articles, authors, citations, keywords and countries. The analysis revealed that Saudi scholars had published a fair amount of COVID-19 studies in a small timespan. Scholars from Saudi Arabia have initiated a strong collaboration with other researchers worldwide. The data revealed that Saudi scholars have collaborated with scholars All over the world. Overall, Saudi Arabia had its share of global contribution on the subject (19th place). Contribution from Saudi Arabia was found to be affiliated to other countries, especially the USA and Egypt The study focused only on Saudi scholars' productivity in the field of COVID-19. More research needs to be done in order to find how Arab scholars are progressing with COVID-19 research. Additionally, the study only used the Web of science to retrieve the data. Using Scopus might give us more understanding of the scholars' productivity in the field. Despite several studies on the field, this is the first study covering scholars' productivity in covid-19 in the Middle east. The paper aims at examining the global trends in digital library research based on data extracted from the Scopus database at the global, national, institutional and individual levels. Using performance indicators like total citations, the number of publications, h-index, total link strength the study aims to evaluate the prolific authors, organizations, countries, chronological growth of literature, document forms, most prolific journals, application of Lotkas's law to evaluate the author productivity and analysis of keywords to know the trending topics of research in Digital Libraries. The study uses VOSviewer to prepare the network map of organizational and country co-authorship analysis with clustering technique and MS-Excel for graphical and statistical analysis. The core findings are like the most productive year is 2019 and the number of publications increased rapidly from the starting year of data collection 2016. The results reveal that the USA is the most productive country in terms of the number of publications and impact with the University of Illinois the first rank in the list of prolific institutions. The Journal of Gay & Lesbian Mental Health (JGLMH) has experienced significant growth over the past decade. The number of article downloads has quadrupled from 2013 to 2023, and submissions to the journal have tripled during the same period. The acceptance rate has improved, and the journal has become more international in terms of submissions. Additionally, the journal's impact in terms of citations has increased, and it is now indexed on the Emerging Sources Citation Index. The current Editor-in-Chief, Christopher A. McIntosh, will be passing the torch to Dr. Mark Bradley, who will take over as the new Editor-in-Chief starting with Volume 29. Systematic literature reviews are common in social research for integrating and synthesising existing research. This paper argues that the outcomes of such reviews are affected by the choice of bibliographic databases. It presents evidence of substantial variation across three large electronic databases (Scopus, Web of Science and EBSCO) in a study on employee retention and staff turnover. It considers the specific articles, numbers returned, numbers shared across databases and perceived quality of journals hosting the retrieved articles. Results show that only 130 articles (5.7% of 2267 retrieved) were found common to all three databases, suggesting that decisions on how and where literature is retrieved can substantially affect the results of systematic reviews and meta-analyses. The findings caution against the use of single databases and claiming comprehensiveness. Input saturation is very important for the analysis and design of control system. Ignoring the input saturation will have an adverse effect on the control system, and even cause the control system to be unstable. In practice, almost all the control systems are affected by input saturation, involving switched systems, multi-agent systems, robot systems and spacecraft rendezvous systems, etc. In the past few decades, a large number of research results have been obtained on input saturation. This paper attempts to give an overview through a bibliometric analysis based on the publications related to input saturation which were published from 2010 to 2020 and retrieved from the Science Citation Index Expanded database. We give a detailed discussion based on countries, institutions, research areas, journals, authors and author keywords. The main results show that Automatica takes the leading position among the top 10 academic journals, followed by International Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control and IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control. China ranks a leading position in this field, followed by the United States and France. Harbin Institute of Technology has the topmost total articles, citations and h-index. A full understanding of the development and re-production of IPE is only possible with an appreciation of its disciplinary politics. This institutionalises four aspects of academic inquiry: (a) what is considered admissible work in the field, (b) how work should be conducted and where it should be published (c) where the field's legitimate boundaries are, and (d) 'external relations' with cognate disciplines. Academic gatekeepers in positions of disciplinary influence shape perceptions about appropriate conduct within the field, what constitutes its core, and what lies outside its realm. Disciplinary political definitions of the field's nature and limits are manifest in the writing of texts introducing students to IPE. Particularly important are origin stories, which are always partly about directing and coordinating scholarly activity in the present and for the future. Disciplinary history entails forgetting certain events, scholars and works that do not fit the prevailing chronology, marginalising or excluding some topics, debates and questions from the core of the field. We evidence our claims about the boundary work done in narrating IPE's origins through bibliometric mapping and network analysis of IPE citation patterns and practices. Patents with non-patent literature (NPL) references indicate how the link between science and technology interact. Using topic modeling, this paper investigated the thematic relationship between patents and their cited articles in the field of Nanotechnology. For this purpose, patents in the field of nanotechnology (IPC Class: B82) were obtained from the United States Patent and Trademark Office from 1985 to 2019. Then, NPL references listed in "Other References" section of the patents was extracted and abstract of the NPL references was retrieved from Scopus database. R software, topic modeling, and Latent Dirichlet Allocation algorithm were used to analyze the data. Results showed that most of the subclasses in Nanotechnology use few NPL references and are more dependent on patents. In total, NPL references account for only 36% of patent citations. The topics of the NPL references in this field (nanotechnology) belonged to six categories: Physics, Electricity, Chemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Medicine, and Nanotechnology. Consequently, it seems that nanotechnology patents are more technology-driven, and a medium to low relationship exists between science and nanotechnology. The Journal of International Business Studies (JIBS) is the main means of scientific communication within international business. It has been published since 1970 and is a world reference. The main objective of this work is to develop a bibliometric analysis of the characteristics of JIBS publications from 1970 to 2020. To achieve this aim, a bibliometric performance analysis was carried out in a database with 1,697 articles published during the first 51 years of JIBS. Some of the main bibliometric indicators were extracted from the articles, and the 25 most-cited articles in JIBS were identified. Likewise, for a better analysis, the ATLAS.ti software was used, through which a word cloud and a network of codes were generated. The results of the bibliometric performance analysis indicate that the JIBS has increased its level of citation, as well as the number of articles and that the authors from the United States have published the most in the journal. Exploring the evolutionary characteristics of higher education studies across the world can provide an auxiliary reference for related research. This study used the metrological literature visualization software CiteSpace to map the co-cited network of eight higher education journals in the Social Science Citation Index, and used the Google Fusion Tables tool to establish the distribution of high-concentration regions in the higher education research worldwide. The purpose was to detect the latter's evolving central themes and central regions. The thematic evaluations showed the phased characteristics of the transition from a macro, to a meso, to a micro study perspective. The regional assessments demonstrated a divergent diffusion trend from an institutional perspective to a national perspective with a diversified center pattern. The United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, China, and South Africa have become centers in higher education research. The amount of literature published, the frequency of citations, the annual indicator, and the overall influence of a country are important factors influencing the formation of higher education research centers. Eye tracking technology has become an increasingly popular methodology in language studies. Using data from 27 journals in language sciences indexed in the Social Science Citation Index and/or Scopus, we conducted an in-depth scientometric analysis of 341 research publications together with their 14,866 references between 1994 and 2018. We identified a number of countries, researchers, universities, and institutes with large numbers of publications in eye tracking research in language studies. We further discovered a mixed multitude of connected research trends that have shaped the nature and development of eye tracking research. Specifically, a document co-citation analysis revealed a number of major research clusters, their key topics, connections, and bursts (sudden citation surges). For example, the foci of clusters #0 through #5 were found to be perceptual learning, regressive eye movement(s), attributive adjective(s), stereotypical gender, discourse processing, and bilingual adult(s). The content of all the major clusters was closely examined and synthesized in the form of an in-depth review. Finally, we grounded the findings within a data-driven theory of scientific revolution and discussed how the observed patterns have contributed to the emergence of new trends. This study aims to analyze scientific literatures on watershed governance from the first published paper (1979) to the present (2020) through bibliometric analysis and visualization by utilizing a VOS-viewer software based on Scopus database. This study retrieved 353 articles from international authors focusing on watershed governance topic that are related to rural-urban linkages, and local government capacity. The articles are classified according to year of publication, author, the country of co-authors, affiliation, keywords, and journal title. Furthermore, the articles are examined based on several indicators including: Contribution of Countries/Institutions/Authors, Distribution of Journals, Highly Cited Articles, Bibliographic Coupling, and Keywords Analysis. The United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom are the leading countries contributing to publications on watershed governance topic from 1979 to 2020. McGill University serves as the most productive institution, followed by Ohio State University and University of British Columbia. Meanwhile, in terms of disciplines, Public Administration and Development, Environment and Urbanization, and Public Policy and Administration are the top three published journals. The combination of bibliographies and keyword concurrency networks indicates that the research topic of watershed governance is strongly associated to research topics such as rural-urban linkages and local government. This article explores the contested politics of academic authenticity within the African research ecosystem, with particular reference to Nigeria. We show how a fear of "fake" journals is cultivated amongst African academics, with international journal citation indexes being used to adjudicate the credibility of African journals and publishers. The article juxtaposes an ethnographic vignette of a major publisher's training webinar with detailed case studies of two Nigerian commercial publishing houses. Established by entrepreneurial academics in response to limited local journal capacity and the exclusions enacted by Northern editorial gatekeeping, their journals have low article processing charges and, in some cases, minimal peer-review. One publisher was labelled as "predatory" in Beall's list, leading to its journals being removed from Scopus, the Elsevier-owned journal citation index. The other has struggled to get its journals listed in alternative journal databases, such as the Directory of Open Access Journals. The article explores how these citation indexes become contested markers of academic authenticity. Plagiochila is the most diverse genus of liverwort by number of described species, with 1600 validly published names. The typification and application of names within the context of such nomenclatural diversity is therefore critical. Typification statements made over five decades of revisionary study for 95 validly published species names, and two varieties, in Australasian Plagiochilaceae are reviewed with reference to the International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi, and plants (Code) and the citation of original material in the protologue, to establish for each the type specimens and their status. This review serves two purposes, firstly to confirm type specimen status given the recent suggestion that type citations by Bonner in Index Hepaticarum Volume 1 not be accepted as effective (if inadvertent) lectotypifications; and secondly to provide a data-based assessment of typification practice with reference to a relatively well-studied bryophyte group. None of the works reviewed were error-free with regards to typification practice. The most common errors were the citation of a holotype when none exists, and neglecting earlier type citation statements and their context. However, no instance where these errors impacted the application of names was found, implying authors are generally conscientious in their identification of original material. Three recommendations to improve typification practice are made: firstly, taxonomists need to utilise available online biodiversity resources to establish for themselves the original material and its context; secondly, greater scrutiny of type statements in existing primary and secondary literature is required; and thirdly, we need proactive education and self-education in the Code's requirements. This research is a longitudinal study of 77 articles on hotel corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices published in tourism and hospitality journals indexed in the Social Sciences Citation Index. Content analysis is used to evaluate the nature of the articles, including the article profile, use of theories, use of research approaches, and research themes. A timeline is created to compare the development of the research areas over a decade. Findings confirm the development of hotel CSR research in the aforementioned areas, but increased attention is necessary to improve the research subject further. The study examines global "Quantum Cryptography" research on a set of quantitative and qualitative metrics to understand the status of research in the subject at global, national, institutional, and individual level. The analysis is based on publications data in the subject comprising a total of 10801 publications as indexed in the Scopus database covering the period 1992–2020. The study provides a window to most productive countries, research organizations and authors in the subject, to most popular broad subject areas in research, to top modes of research communication, and in addition it describes the characteristics of highly cited papers. The study maps the most productive countries, organizations, authors, and keywords in the context of collaborative research. The quantum cryptography research registered a 24.76% annual average growth, accrued an average of 23.01 citations per paper (CPP) since their publication, and it contributed a 4.03% of its output as highly cited papers, with an average of 305.46 citations per paper since their publication. Scholarly journals accounted for a 59.61% global publications share. The main aim of this paper is to analyze the global cyber security literature and to discover underlying trends and developments at the global, national, institutional, and individual level using bibliometric indicators. The publications and citations data for the study were sourced from the SCOPUS database published during 1998–2019. Over this period of 22 years, cyber security research registered a 46.41% growth with an average citation impact of 5.05 citations per paper. Nearly 15% of the total papers were funded by external agencies. The top 10 countries alone accounted for the bulk (76.52%) of output in the subject. The United States leads this list with the highest publication productivity (43.75% of global output). Canada leads the world in terms of relative citation index (1.47). The present investigation explores the features of the research publications on stellar and galactic astrophysics research in India during the last 20 years, based on the Web of Science Core Collection and its implications using the scientometric techniques. The R program, VOS-viewer software, and Webometric Analyst 2.0 were used for the analysis. The results of this investigation unveil that the literature on the stellar and galactic astrophysics has grown exponentially during this period reaching 4352 papers in total. A network visualization map revealed that "galaxies: active", "stars: neutron", "galaxies: evolution", "galaxies: ism" and "radio continuum: galaxies" were the most frequently used keywords. To understand the research trends and areas of focus of regional development, this study conducted bibliometric research based on the Science Citation Index Expanded and Social Science Citation Index databases. The study presents a comprehensive overview of the field of regional development research by exploring its annual output, journals, countries, institutions, temporal keyword trends, citations, and high-impact authors. The countries that had the greatest academic impact were the United Kingdom and United States, and the University of California, Los Angeles, was the institution that had the highest relative citation impact. The popular key words changed from those related to industry to those related to mechanisms and regulation. Later, China emerged as a popular topic, after which integrated research gained prominence. Three main research directions emerged: enterprise and theoretical studies on regional development, China's regional development, and the dynamic mechanism of regional development. Objective: Psychoeducation is an evidence-based therapeutic intervention for women that provide information, support for a better understanding and coping with fear of childbirth (FOC). Although there have been some studies examining the effects of psychoeducation on FOC and cesarean section (CS), there is no high quality evidence. This systematic review and meta-analysis study aimed to investigate the effects of psychoeducation on FOC and CS rate.Methods: Literature research was performed in CINAHL, PubMed, Science Direct, OVID, Medline, Science Citation Index (Web of Science) and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials until April 2018. This study is based on the recommendations of the Cochrane guidelines. The analysis was conducted using the Comprehensive Meta-Analysis Program Version 3.Results: Four randomized controlled studies and three non-randomized controlled studies were selected; six studies were combined for FOC and four studies were combined for CS rate. Meta-analysis revealed that psychoeducation is effective in reducing pregnant women's FOC (hedges' g 0.59, 95% Confidence Interval (CI) 0.46-0.72, p = .000; 931 women) and the CS rate (Odds Ratio 1.730, 95% CI 1.285-2.330, p = .000; 682 women).Conclusion: This study provides sufficient evidence that psychoeducation is an effective to reduce FOC and CS rate. As one of the most cost-effective genome editing technologies, CRISPR/Cas9 has attracted considerable attention from worldwide scientists and international organizations. Therefore, it is fundamentally important for them to understand the research progress on the topic. Using the bibliometric method, this article characterizes the CRISPR/Cas9-related literature based on the network database platform of SCI-Expanded from Web of Science. We found: (1) Annual publications about CRISPR/Cas9 exhibited a sharp increase, with only one in 2011 and 1,055 in 2016. (2) The number of journals with an impact factor (IF) from 1 to 5 were major collections (n = 257, or 60.5%); the number of articles were mainly published in journals whose IF ranged from 3 to 8 (n = 1,128, or 51.9%). Number of articles per journal, citations per journal, and citations per article were ascending as the rising impact factor except for IF from 10 to 20. (3) Scientific Reports (IF = 5.228) published the highest number of articles with 216 records (10.1%), and Science (IF = 34.661) had the highest number of citations with 9,021 records. (4) The United States, China, and Japan not only had the greatest number of articles and citations but also produced the highest single-country articles, with the maximum proportion in Japan. International collaboration analysis further confirmed that the United States plays the leading role in this area. This comprehensive study focuses on analyzing the growth of research in the domain of ocean acidification using various bibliometric methods. Datasets were retrieved from Scopus databases using keywords pertaining to the subjects, and detailed analysis was made to understand the growth of literature, publication trends, authorship pattern, keywords, country-wise distribution, and leading institutes working in the subject domain of ocean acidification. The resultant data show that a significant portion (37.83%) of the research documents are published in open-access journals. The finding shows that 76.06% of the total publication has published in the last seven years (2013–2019). In the year 2017, research in this subject reached its peak with the highest number of publications 697 (12.54%). The top 15 journals published around 34.04% (1,891) of the entire research documents. GEOMAR Helmholtz Center for Ocean Research Kiel, Germany, has produced the highest number of research papers (5.42%) followed by Alfred Wegener Institute, Helmholtz Center for Polar and Marine Research, Germany (4.66%), and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the USA, with 4.39% of research documents. It has been found that Biogeosciences published by European Geosciences Union is the most preferred journal by researchers for publishing their work followed by Plos One covering around 215 (3.87%) papers and Marine Ecology Progress Series of 166 (2.99%) articles. For academic libraries, because budgetary pressures are nearly universal, it is imperative to evaluate journal packages regularly. This article presents an overview of the data and methods that the NC State University Libraries traditionally uses to evaluate journal packages and presents additional methods to expand our evaluation of publishing and editorial activity. We describe methods for downloading and analyzing Web of Science citation data to identify the most common publishers for NC State affiliated authors as well as the journals in which NC State authors publish most frequently. This article also demonstrates a custom Python web scraping application to harvest NC State affiliated editor data from publishers' websites. This study aimed to identify trends and foundations of creativity research in education using the Structural Topic Model (STM). First, English-language journal articles about creativity research in education included in the Social Science Citation Index and Science Citation Index Expanded databases were selected. Then, considering semantic cohesiveness and exclusivity of words to topics, the articles were divided into twelve topics using STM. Topic 2, which attracted increasing research interest, was selected using a method similar to standard regression analysis. The changing focus of Topic 2 was identified through an analysis of its research contents. Finally, the foundations of creativity research in education across three periods (1990–1999, 2000–2009, and 2010–2019) were obtained through a review of their 10 most highly cited papers. The conclusions are that a) there are twelve topics of creativity research in education; b) research about the creative process of engineering design in STEM education is likely to attract further interest in the future; and c) highly cited papers are mainly concerned about the mechanisms underlying idea generation and personality and social factors. A wide spectrum of rigor exists in systematic literature review methods. This article argues review methods should include both a preliminary discussion justifying where and a secondary protocol explaining how a literature search is conducted. Journal title overlap analysis is one way to justify where a literature search is conducted. A new application of social network analysis is presented to conduct journal title overlap analysis. The results indicate novel uses for citation indexes to verify literature search results. Coronaviruses (CoVs) are a large family of viruses and are endemic in humans and animals, causing respiratory and intestinal infections. Coronavirus has become a challenge in China region due to its recent outbreak at the start of the year 2020. The current outbreak of coronavirus disease (COVID) has resulted in many fatalities and has forced the people of Wuhan Province in China to remain confined in their homes. Two other two forms of CoV were epidemic in 2003 when Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV) spread in Hong Kong and Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) spread in the Middle East region. This bibliometric study is an attempt to trace the trends of research associated with "Coronavirus" for a period of 50 years using the SCOPUS database. The study was carried out using the keyword Coronavirus and analyzed for annual growth, productive countries, institutes, authors, journals, highly cited papers, and research focus using keywords. There were two peaks when a large number of publications appeared. Most of the research publications were from the USA (31.67%), and the University of Hong Kong was the most productive institute. This study analyzed dissertations and theses completed from 2009–2019 in the Mathematics and Statistics department at the University at Albany to investigate resource type, citation age, publishers, and journal title dispersion. Students cited journal articles 57.0% of the time, while books and book chapters combined accounted for 30.5% of the citations. Publisher usage fit the Pareto Distribution; however, there was a high journal title dispersion. Preprints represented 4.6% of the citations, an increase from previous studies. In 2008, Rogers State University's Stratton Taylor Library launched an embedded librarian service for the university's online classes. While looking for a method to assess the effectiveness of the library instruction program, it was discovered that there has been very little quantitative research into the research activities of students who received embedded librarian services, compared with face-to-face students receiving traditional library instruction. A citation analysis was performed on the term papers of three sections of an upper-division management information systems class, and the results are discussed. This study seeks to explore institutional repository, social networking, and bibliographic databases of scholarly communication in Nigeria. Six institutional repositories (IR) were selected and five leading authors had their works manually crosschecked in two citation indexes and self-archived in social networking sites. The results reveal that faculty members have embraced self-archive on academic social network platforms, while their records in the IR do not reflect this. The study recommends Universities' management to implore academics to self-archive their publications into their IR, while the libraries too could search bibliographic databases and social network sites to update their respective IR platforms. Since Al Gore created the vision for Digital Earth in 1998, a wide range of research in this field has been published in journals. However, little attention has been paid to bibliometric analysis of the literature on Digital Earth. This study uses a bibliometric analysis methodology to study the publications related to Digital Earth in the Science Citation Index database and Social Science Citation Index database (via the Web of Science online services) during the period from 1998 to 2015. In this paper, we developed a novel keyword set for ‘Digital Earth’. Using this keyword set, 11,061 scientific articles from 23 subject categories were retrieved. Based on the searched articles, we analyzed the spatiotemporal characteristics of publication outputs, the subject categories and the major journals. Then, authors’ performance, affiliations, cooperation, and funding institutes were evaluated. Finally, keywords were examined. Through keyword clustering, research hotspots in the field of Digital Earth were detected. Peer review is the bedrock of the scientific enterprise, yet it enjoys scant validation. The federal government’s CrimeSolutions.gov initiative provides a unique opportunity to address this limitation. As part of the initiative, trained experts evaluate criminal justice evaluation research on several of the same criteria editors use to make publication decisions. Data from a sample of articles published in Social Sciences Citation Index journals were obtained from the CrimeSolutions.gov database, then used to model publication quality, operationalized as the product of the journal’s five-year impact factor and article citations per year (an article-level measure). The model explained only five percent of the variation in publication quality, raising several questions about the validity of peer review in criminal justice evaluation research. This article examines whether impact factors provide information related to the reputation of journals and current research trends in the field of History and Philosophy of Science. It is proposed that evaluating the impact of a journal in the History and Philosophy of Science category of the Science Citation Index should be based on citations of a journal by articles published in other journals in the same category. An examination of different types of data about the journals that are in the Science Citation Index’s History and Philosophy of Science category indicated that the journals included in the top quartile of the 2013Journal Citation Reportsdo not have a great impact on this field. The journals most frequently cited by articles in the other journals in the History and Philosophy of Science category also are the journals in which university professors in the field of History and Philosophy of Science frequently publish articles. This article presents a bibliometric analysis of the vulnerability research field. We analyze 200 articles on vulnerability published between 1973 and 2012, in the context of the United States. The intent of this article is to compare the levels of activity of several academic disciplines and bodies of work in vulnerability scholarship and to examine which topics are most studied in them. Topic code use was assessed using the qualitative research data analysis tool Atlas.ti, which permits users to locate, code, and annotate article text fragments. Article categorization was measured both by coding first author organizational affiliation and using the ISI Web of Knowledge journal citation reports categorization scheme that assigns journals to a discipline; each article was coded by its journal category.
