17-4 precipitation hardening stainless steel is a recognized material with good strength and can overcome abrasion and corrosion resistance, which is frequently preferred in the situation of extreme pressure and high pressure. However, it is a tough-to-cut material due to its high ductility. Hence, it is necessary to obtain the optimal parameters for improving the machining performance of the 17-4 PH steel. In this research, the significance of the surfaces machined is analyzed with cutting temperature along with flank wear by changing turning input factors such as cutting speed, feed and machining conditions (dry, oil and ionic liquid (IL)) with low-quantity lubrication. The optimal solution was determined using response surface method. The outcomes reveal that environment outperforms other control parameters. The excess molar volume, excess isentropic compressibility, and deviation in viscosity have been investigated from density, speed of sound and viscosity measurements of three binary mixtures of 2-methyl-1-butanol (B) with 1,2–disubstituted ethanes (1,2–dichloroethane(B1), ethylenediamine (B2) and monoethanolamine (B3) over entire composition range at various temperatures of 303.15 K −313.15 K. The excess / deviation has been fitted by a Redlich-Kister equation and the results are discussed in terms of attractive forces and chemical forces. The excess properties are found to be either negative or positive depending on the physical and chemical forces and the nature of the liquid mixtures. These systems studied exhibit very strong cross-association through hydrogen bonding. Prigogine-Flory-Patterson (PFP) theory is applied to identify the predominant molecular interaction. Jouyban-Acree model, results are discussed in terms of mean relative deviation (MRDs) and individual relative deviation (IRD) between calculated and experimental densities, speeds of sound, and viscosities as an accuracy criterion. Abstract Gut microbiota modulates host physiology and pathophysiology through the production of microbial metabolites. Diet is a crucial factor in shaping the microbiome, and gut microbes interact with the host by producing beneficial or detrimental diet-derived microbial metabolites. Evidence from our lab and others indicates that the interaction between diet and gut microbes plays a pivotal role in modulating vascular health. Diet-derived microbial metabolites such as short-chain fatty acids and metabolites of phenolic acids improve vascular health, whereas trimethylamine oxide and certain amino acid-derived microbial metabolites impair the vasculature. These metabolites have been shown to regulate blood pressure, vascular inflammation, and atherosclerosis by acting on multiple targets. Nonetheless, there are substantial gaps in knowledge within this field. The microbial enzymes essential for the production of diet-derived metabolites, the role of the food matrix in regulating the bioavailability of metabolites, and the structure-activity relationships between metabolites and biomolecules in the vasculature are largely unknown. Potential diet-derived metabolites to improve vascular health can be identified through future studies that investigate the causal relationship between dietary components, gut microbes, diet-derived metabolites, and vascular health by using radiolabeled compounds, metabolomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics techniques. Women's inequitable healthcare experiences are epistemic injustices by which women are discredited and harmed in their position as knowers of their health and their bodies. Drawing on the theory of communicative disenfranchisement (TCD), we sought to amplify voices of women experiencing communicative disenfranchisement (CD) and to unify their stories according to theoretical premises, namely, attention to power, material conditions, discourse, identities and relationships, and process. We interviewed 36 women living in the United States whose health issues have not been taken seriously by health care providers, friends, and family – pervasive sources of disenfranchising talk surrounding health. Mapping onto the TCD framework, our findings explicate the process of CD, including the material and immaterial consequences of disenfranchising talk and women's responses to such talk. CD unfolded as a protracted and often circular process of women seeking care but encountering health dismissals and minimalizations, blaming and shaming, normalizing of their pain, and psychologizing. We unpack how disenfranchising talk rendered women crazy and dehumanized them and inflicted shame and loss. Women responded to disenfranchising talk with silence, and they (re)claimed their voice by resisting psychogenic explanations for their problems, critiquing women's healthcare, asserting their needs, and advocating for others. Emerging buds of Narcissus pseudonarcissus were found to accumulate the alkaloid haemanthamine (1) at high concentrations, exceeding that of narciclasine (2), the most abundant constituent in bulbs of the plant. A phytoactivity screening assay demonstrated the novel phytotoxicity of haemanthamine against Raphanus sativus (radish), Lactuca sativus (lettuce), Triticum aestivum (red wheat), Solanum lycopersicum (tomato), Cucumis sativus (cucumber), Ipomoea (Morning glory), and Lens culinaris (lentil). In this study, Wingless-type MMTV (mouse mammary tumor virus) integration site family member (WNT10B) gene was sequence characterized in the Indian water buffalo. Sequence analysis revealed an open reading frame of 1176 nucleotides in buffalo, encoding 391 amino acids long protein. Nineteen nucleotide variations were observed between cattle and buffalo resulting in six amino acid changes. Phylogenetic analysis showed the clustering of ruminant species together. Real-time expression analysis of WNT10B in tissues collected from different organs of fetal and adult buffalo, revealed, the gene being abundantly expressed in the rumen and liver of the fetus. The fetal ovary, heart, kidney, lung, testis and mammary gland showed moderate expression, while in adult tissues, expression was high in the ovary, testis, brain, kidney, small intestine and liver, whereas lower expression was observed in the adult rumen. Significant differences in WNT10B expression levels were found for the brain, small intestine, testes, kidney, heart, rumen, and ovary when adult and fetal tissues were compared. A moderate level of genetic variation was found between cattle and buffalo WNT10B and expression patterns in a variety of tissues in adult buffalo implies that in addition to possible roles in adipogenesis and hematopoiesis, the WNT10B gene might be playing a significant role in other regulatory pathways as well. This paper reports the dynamism of a submarine groundwater discharge (SGD) zone in SW India. Two electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) surveys were conducted in the project area to delineate the seawater-fresh water interface and characterize the subsurface aquifer layers. Beach groundwater dynamics were also studied by continuously monitoring salinity, temperature, and nutrient concentration in the groundwater from three shallow dug wells on the beach. The ERT surveys were planned in such a way as to fall between these dug wells. The flow domain was modeled using a numerical modeling approach, and the rate of fresh SGD flux and its spatial variation along the coastline has been estimated. The study proves that the numerical modeling approach combined with other field measurements and observations, such as ERT and continuous monitoring gives a comprehensive understanding of SGD and associated processes. The structural transformation path in most developing economies follows an employment shift towards service activities, skipping an industrialisation phase. In this paper, we explore how this premature deindustrialisation trend affects the inclusive growth trajectory of middle-income economies. Considering the trends in manufacturing employment and value-added share, we identify premature deindustrialisation phases in economies. We apply panel fixed-effects and bootstrap-corrected dynamic fixed-effects models to empirically examine the relationship between premature deindustrialisation and income inequality. Our findings suggest that income inequality rises with premature deindustrialisation if the displaced workers are absorbed into market services (especially with employment movement towards non-business market services such as trade, transport, hotels, and accommodation). In contrast, if non-market services (such as education and health) or business services (such as banking and financial services) are the dominant employment provider, it helps to reduce income inequality even in the presence of premature deindustrialisation. A multiband, frequency reconfigurable, and bifunctional metasurface for simultaneous full-space control of Electromagnetic (EM) waves is proposed for wearable applications. The unit-cell structure contains concentric rectangular rings and empty substrate-integrated waveguides (SIWs) for miniaturisation. The miniaturised dimension of the Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) substrate is 18 × 18 × 1 mm³. Two varactor diodes are integrated for frequency switching operations by configuring the structure using bias voltage (forward/reverse) through the ground via the proposed surface resonates at 3.5,5.8,7.6 (On),8.1 (Off) GHz frequencies, which provide simultaneous bi-functionalities: artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC) reflector/absorber in reflection and transmission space of operations, respectively. In reflection space, it acts as an AMC reflector by providing in-phase reflection with a radiation efficiency of >84% and unidirectional E-field patterns. However, the magnitude of absorbance is more than 96% in transmission, thereby simultaneously controlling full-space EM wave in normal incidence. The obtained simultaneous metasurface functionalities are investigated for different oblique angles of the transverse electric (TE) and transverse magnetic (TM) incident wave. The proposed surface is fabricated and experimentally validated. The features of the designed bifunctional metasurface provide a strategic platform for potential multifunctional wearable devices. Multiple inhibitions of CA, COX-2 and 5-LOX enzymes has been recognised as a useful strategy for the development of anti-inflammatory drugs that can avoid the disadvantages of using NSAIDs alone. Here, we report new pyridazine-based sulphonamides (5a-c and 7a-f) as potential multi-target anti-inflammatory candidates. First, the furanone heterocycle in the dual CA/COX-2 inhibitor Polmacoxib was replaced with the pyridazinone one. Then, a hydrophobic tail was appended through benzylation of the 3-hydroxyl group of the pyridazinone scaffold to afford benzyloxy pyridazines 5a-c. Furthermore, the structures were adorned with the polar sulphonate functionality, in pyridazine sulphonates 7a-f, that are expected to be engaged in interactions with the hydrophilic half of the CA binding sites. All of the disclosed pyridazinones were tested for inhibitory activities against 4 hCA isoforms (I, II, IX, and XII), as well as against COX-1/2, and 5-LOX. This paper presents a simple yet efficient approach for the reliability-based design of flexible pavements, based on the concept of quantile-values. The reliability-based approaches currently adopted in the pavement design guides are simplified techniques, based on an overall reliability factor. On the other hand, simulation-based probabilistic techniques, widely discussed in literature, can be computationally expensive and tedious to implement. The 'Simplified Effective Random Dimension Quantile Value Method' (Simplified ERD-QVM), adopted in this study, presents an elegant technique to bridge the gap between the precision of simulation-based probabilistic techniques and the efficiency of design guide approaches. The accuracy of this technique is verified through Monte Carlo Simulations for different pavement design scenarios. The main advantages of the method are (i) the significant savings in computational times for reliability-based design of flexible pavements without the use of surrogate models (ii) the use of simple techniques already familiar to practitioners who adopt the Mechanistic-Empirical Pavement Design Guide and (iii) it is a comprehensive reliability analysis approach that addresses the drawbacks of the currently used approaches, while capturing the effect of both design parameter and model uncertainty. Growth is an important trait in aquaculture and the major genes that regulate it are Insulin-like growth factors (IGFs) and IGF binding proteins (IGFBPs). In this study, the full-length coding sequences of IGF2 and IGFBP6 genes in the Indian catfish Clarias magur were cloned and characterized. The full-length cDNA sequences of IGF2 and IGFBP6 were 885 bp (ORF 642 bp) and 928 bp (ORF 600 bp), encoding 213 and 199 amino acids, respectively. Bioinformatics analyses revealed that the magur IGF2 and IGFBP6 proteins are hydrophilic and secretory in nature. Sequence alignment with other teleosts and mammalian orthologues shows conservation of the functional domains. Gene expression analysis in 6 individuals each of high (298 ± 5.0 g) and low (210 ± 6.0 g) growth performing families showed significantly (p < 0.05) higher expression (2.5–3 fold) of IGF2, and lower expression (∼2.5 fold) of IGFBP6 in liver and muscle of fast-growing fish. This study suggests that IGF2 could be playing a major role in the growth regulation of magur. Type 2 diabetes (T2D) and chronic periodontitis (CP) are common diseases worldwide. Although T2D increases the severity of CP and alveolar bone loss, the mechanism of this is not well understood. We investigated using immunohistochemistry the expression of three osteoclast proteins, TRAF6, cFos and NFATc1, in gingival tissues. Gingival tissues were obtained from three groups: HC group, healthy controls; CP group, patients with CP; T2D + CP group, patients with both T2D and CP. Strong immunostaining for TRAF6, cFos and NFATc1 was observed in the gingival epithelium as well as in inflammatory cells in the CP and T2D + CP groups. Immunostaining was most intense in the T2D + CP group. We found strong up-regulation of TRAF6, cFos and NFATC1 in gingiva tissue of subjects with both T2D and CP, which corroborates our hypothesis that T2D potentiates osteoclastogenesis in CP. Abstract We investigate L 2 boosting in the context of kernel regression. Kernel smoothers, in general, lack appealing traits like symmetry and positive definiteness, which are critical not only for understanding theoretical aspects but also for achieving good practical performance. We consider a projection-based smoother (Huang and Chen 2008) that is symmetric, positive-definite, and shrinking. Theoretical results based on the orthonormal decomposition of the smoother reveal additional insights into the boosting algorithm. In our asymptotic framework, we may replace the full-rank smoother with a low-rank approximation. We demonstrate that the smoother’s low-rank (d n ) is bounded above by O(h −1), where h is the bandwidth. Our numerical findings show that, in terms of prediction accuracy, low-rank smoothers may outperform full-rank smoothers. Furthermore, we show that the boosting estimator with a low-rank smoother achieves the optimal convergence rate. Finally, to improve the performance of the boosting algorithm in the presence of outliers, we propose a novel robustified boosting algorithm that can be used with any smoother discussed in the study. Sickle cell disease (SCD) affects 5% of the global population, with over 300,000 infants born yearly. In India, 73% of those with the sickle hemoglobin gene belong to indigenous tribes in remote regions lacking proper healthcare. Despite the prevalence of SCD, India lacked state-led public health programs until recently, leaving a gap in screening and comprehensive care. Hence, the Indian Council of Medical Research conducted implementation research to address this gap. This paper discusses the development and impact of the program, including screening and treatment coverage for SCD in tribal areas. With a quasi-experimental design, this study was conducted in six tribal-dominated districts in three phases – formative, intervention, and evaluation. The intervention included advocacy, partnership building, building the health system's capacity and community mobilization, and enabling the health systems to screen and manage SCD patients. The capacity building included improving healthcare workers' skills through training and infrastructure development of primary healthcare (PHC) facilities. The impact of the intervention is visible in terms of people's participation (54%, 76% and 93% of the participants participated in some intervention activities, underwent symptomatic screening and demanded the continuity of the program, respectively), and improvement in SCD-related knowledge of the community and health workers (with more than 50% of net change in many of the knowledge-related outcomes). By developing screening and treatment models, this intervention model demonstrated the feasibility of SCD care at the PHC level in remote rural areas. This accessible approach allows the tribal population in India to routinely seek SCD care at their local PHCs, offering great convenience. Nevertheless, additional research employing rigorous methodology is required to fine-tune the model. Abstract Chronological sequencing of ink strokes has been a challenge for the Forensic Document Examiners (FDE). Document forgery is a common practice and the ability to determine the order in which the primary and the subsequent strokes have been made is crucial for establishing the authenticity of a document. Lately, the prime thrust of establishing the sequence of intersection of ink lines has shifted from an optical to an analytical approach. Several studies have been reported to explore the use of spectroscopic techniques in determining the sequence of ink strokes made using gel pen inks, ball pen inks, fountain inks, printed ink, stamp inks, etc. The present study aims to study the existing trends in examining the sequence of ink strokes or crossing of lines using vibrational spectroscopic techniques viz. Infrared and Raman Spectroscopy. Several interesting inferences have been drawn, such as factors like paper type and time gap between the application of two intersecting strokes does not influence the determination of the sequence of inter-crossing strokes. A trend of using two analytical techniques viz. VSC, AFM, HPTLC, TOF-SIMS, and SEM/EDX with vibrational spectroscopic techniques have been found to provide reliable results. The study also suggests future research directions in the field, aiming to address challenges faced by the FDEs and provide accurate and reliable solutions for document examination. In this research work, a unique DDoS attack detection and mitigation approach is developed. At first, the input information is carried out into a detection phase, where it identifies the presence of an attack as well as the types of attack. The detection phase will include the "pre-processing, feature extraction, attack detection & attack mitigation." The collected raw information is pre-processed. Then, the flow-based features such as "flow rate, flow byte, total forward packet, as well as total backward packet" are extracted. In addition, the sequential frequent pattern characteristics are retrieved utilizing the Apriori model. For the precise detection, an ensemble classifier is introduced by inclosing the "Neural Network (ANN), Bi-GRU, Recurrent Neural Network (RNN), and optimized Convolutional Neural Network (CNN)." The DBN, Bi-GRU, and RNN of ensemble classifiers are trained with the retrieved characteristics. The result from DBN, Bi-GRU, and RNN is subjected as an input to an optimized CNN, in which weights of CNN are optimally tuned by a novel hybrid optimization. This research presents a coplanar waveguide fed elliptical-based second iterative antenna for dual-broadband applications. The antenna radiator is formed after implementing two iterations of an elliptical-shaped patch in a tree-shaped manner and a modified semi-elliptical CPW plane. The antenna provides a bandwidth of 1.87 GHz (2.49–4.36 GHz) in the lower resonating band and 1.96 GHz (7.96–9.92 GHz) in the upper resonating band with peak gains of 2.84 and 6.15 dBi, respectively. An augmented gain of 9.48 dBi is obtained by implementing a single-layer FSS (frequency selective surface) beneath the designed antenna. The simulated and experimental results of the antenna with and without FSS are very similar regarding gain, impedance bandwidth, and directional radiation patterns. Prevention of abusive content in social media platforms has received a lot of attention in recent years. The problem is still a challenge due to the nuances present in the content posted and the tactics of users to pass through the abusive detection algorithms employed by the social media giants. This paper presents a robust deep learning model that takes the advantage of both character and word representations, to address the challenges associated with the text content of a social media post for detecting abusive content. The proposed model uses character CNN to capture morphological information and learns the important features to distinguish abusive content with the help of an Attention-based Bi-LSTM network. In addition, it uses the pooling layer to avoid spatial translations. We confined our model to only the text content of the social media posts due to the limitations of collecting user characteristics for existing datasets and to honour the privacy concerns of users. Our model is dataset agnostic, as revealed by the empirical results on the data sets of multiple social media platforms. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a neurodegenerative disease characterized by progressive weakness and eventual death, usually within 3-5 years. An ALS diagnosis is associated with substantial emotional distress for both the affected person and their family care-partners which impairs the ability to engage in important conversations about long term care planning, negatively impacts ALS symptoms for the patient, and quality of life for both patient and care-partner. Here we 1) discuss published works identified by the authors about psychosocial interventions for the ALS population, 2) identify a lack of early, dyadic interventions to support psychosocial needs of people with ALS and care-partners; 3) describe the Neurodegenerative Diseases (NDD) framework for early dyadic intervention development and 4) propose an adaptation of an evidence-based early dyadic psychosocial intervention, Recovering Together, for the unique needs of people with ALS and their care-partners (Resilient Together-ALS; RT-ALS) using the NDD framework. Solar power plays a significant role in fulfilling industrial and household energy needs. A hypothetical analysis is accomplished to scrutinize the practical usage of solar power by enhancing the heat diffusion rate of the conventional liquid. Third-grade cylindrical film flow is considered in the existence of hydrodynamics (MHD), radiation, Ohmic heating, and Cattaneo–Christov heat flux. Water is a base liquid suspended with graphene oxide nanoparticles. An exact model is established and solved computationally by relating suitable comparisons. The considered flow model directly uses parabolic trough solar collector. A comparative analysis is performed on Xue and Maxwell nanomodels, and the results are explored with computational outcomes. The application of biocontrol agents in farm operations for pest control programs is gaining priority and preference globally. Effective delivery, infectivity of the biocontrol agents, and quality shelf-life products containing these bioagents are vital parameters responsible for the success of biopesticides under field conditions. In the present study, moisture-retaining bio-insecticidal dustable powder formulation (SaP) of Steinernema abbasi (Sa) infective juveniles (IJs) was developed and assessed for its shelf life, physicochemical profile, and bio-efficacy against subterranean termite under field conditions. Formulation exhibited free-flowing character, with pH of 6.50–7.50, and apparent density in the range 0.50–0.70 g cm−3. The bioefficacy study for two rabi seasons (2020–2021, and 2021–2022) in wheat and chickpea grown in an experimental farm heavily infested with subterranean termites (Odontotermes obesus) revealed a significant reduction in plant damage due to pest attack in formulation-treated plots, monitored in terms of relative number of infested tillers in wheat and infested plants in chickpea fields. The reduced damage to the crop caused by termite was reflected in the relative differences in the growth and yield attributes as well. Peripheral blood serum/plasma proteins are frequently studied for their potential use as radiation exposure biomarkers. Here we report RBC membrane associated proteins (RMAPs), which show alterations in expression level following whole-body γ-irradiation of rats at sub-lethal/lethal doses. RBCs from peripheral blood of Sprague Dawley rats were segregated using the Ficoll-Hypaque method, and membrane fractions were hypotonically isolated at various time points (6 h, 24 h, 48 h) after γ-irradiation at 2 Gy, 5 Gy, and 7.5 Gy doses. Following purification of proteins from these fractions, two-dimensional electrophoresis (2-DE) was carried out. Treatment induced differentially expressed protein spots (≥2 fold increase/decrease) were picked up, trypsinized, and identified using LC-MS/MS analysis. Western immunoblots using protein specific antibodies were used to confirm the results. Gene ontology and interactions of these proteins were also studied. From a number of differentially expressed radiation-responsive 2-DE protein spots detected, eight were identified unequivocally using LC-MS/MS. Out of these, actin, cytoplasmic 1 (ACTB) showed detectable yet insignificant variation (<50%) in expression. In contrast, peroxiredoxin-2 (PRDX2) and 26S proteasome regulatory subunit RPN11 (PSMD14) were the two most prominently over-expressed proteins. Five more proteins, namely tropomyosin alpha-3 chain (TPM3), exosome component 6 (EXOSC6), isoform 4 of tropomyosin alpha-1 chain (TPM1), serum albumin (ALB), and the 55 kDa erythrocyte membrane protein (P55) showed distinct alteration in their expression at different time-points and doses. ALB, EXOSC6, and PSMD14 were the most responsive at 2 Gy, albeit at different time-points. While EXOSC6 and PSMD14 showed maximum over-expression (5-12 fold) at 6 h post-irradiation, ALB expression increased progressively (4 up to 7 fold) from 6 h to 48 h. TPM1 showed over-expression (2-3 fold) at all doses and time-points tested. TPM3 showed a dose-dependent response at all time-points studied; with no variation at 2 Gy, ∼2 fold increase at 5 Gy, and 3-6 fold at the highest dose used (7.5 Gy). The p55 protein was over-expressed (∼2.5 fold) only transiently at 24 h following the lethal (7.5 Gy) dose. This is the first study to report γ-radiation induced alterations in the RBC membrane associated proteins. We are further evaluating the potential of these proteins as radiation biomarkers. This article examines the effect of trade continuity, measured by the lagged imports of intermediate goods, on global production sharing in emerging economies. We estimate an augmented gravity model using the Poisson pseudo maximum likelihood method with a panel dataset of bilateral exports of 29 emerging economies from 2004 to 2017. Our results show that trade continuity positively affects global production sharing. We provide new empirical evidence that trade continuity is process-specific and may vary between parts and components and final assembly stages. Nanobubble (NB) technologies have received considerable attention for various applications due to their low cost, eco-friendliness, scale-up potential, process control, and unique physical characteristics. NB stands for nanoscopic gaseous cavities, typically <1μm in diameter. NBs can exist on surfaces (surface or interfacial NBs) and be dispersed in a bulk liquid phase (bulk NBs). Compared to the microbubbles, NBs exhibit high specific surface area, negative surface charge, and better adsorption. Bulk NBs can be generated by hydrodynamic/acoustic cavitation, electrolysis, water-solvent mixing, nano-membrane filtration, and so on. NBs exhibit extraordinary longevity compared to microbubbles, prompting the interest of the scientific community aiming for potential applications including medicine, agriculture, food, wastewater treatment, surface cleaning, and so on. Based on the limited amount of research work available regarding the influence of NBs on food matrices, further research, however, needs to be done to provide more insights into its applications in food industries. This review provides an overview of the generation methods for NBs, techniques to evaluate them, and a discussion of their stability and several applications in various fields of science were discussed. However, recent studies have revealed that, despite the many benefits of NB technologies, several NB generating approaches are still limited in their application in specific agro-food industries. Further study should focus on process optimization, integrating various NB generation techniques/combining with other emerging technologies in order to achieve rapid technical progress and industrialization of NB-based technologies. The development of the future's smart cities will increasingly depend on autonomous vehicles. For example, object detection, tracking, path planning, and sentiment or intent recognition, among other things, have all been the subject of several suggestions in recent years in an effort to address specific components of the working pipeline and develop a useful end-to-end system. This article presents a simple benchmark to evaluate the performance of object identification algorithms under deteriorating image quality. In this article, the input image is taken from the car object detection dataset, then, it gets preprocessed. The preprocessing involved Histogram equalization-based contrast enhancement, geometric transformations, and image augmentation. After getting preprocessed the region of interest is segmented with the help of a mask convolutional recurrent neural network (MCRNN). Then, the segmented region is classified using the long short-term memory (LSTM) with the self-improved chimp optimization algorithm. Object detection is performed through the proposed model called MCRNN-SICLSTM. The implementation is performed using MATLAB software. The performance of the proposed model is compared with the existing techniques using the performance metrics accuracy, precision, recall, F-Measure, mean absolute error, mean square error, false positive rate, false negative rate. Abstract Significance Aim Methodology Results Novelty The hybrid nanofluid flow is an exciting area of research nowadays for various applications like solar thermal systems, aircrafts, heat exchangers, cooling systems and medical applications.The present research explores the numerical analysis of the three-dimensional spinning flow of a hybrid nano-liquid (NiCr + TC4) over a nonlinear stretching sheet with boundary slip.The flow equations are governed as partial differential equations (PDEs) and then converted into ordinary differential equations (ODEs) via scaling transformations. In order to compute a solution to the nonlinear ODEs, the Runge-Kutta Fehlberg scheme is used along with MATLAB.The findings demonstrate that the temperature field rises with an increase in nanoparticle volume fraction ( ϕ , NiCr ϕ T C 4 ) and falls with an increase in Prandtl number Pr. The wall shear stress in the hybrid nanofluid flow is 1.2% more than viscous fluid flow for different index parameter (n) values. In addition, thermal radiation and magnetic effects widen the study and provide useful insights into the behavior of nano-liquid under various aspects.This article explores the computational analysis of the 3D rotating flow of (NiCr + TC4)/H2O hybrid nano-liquid across a nonlinear stretching sheet under boundary slip conditions. The proper radiometric calibration of the INSAT-3D and --3DR IMAGER is of utmost importance for effective weather forecasting and monitoring. Accurate and reliable images are crucial for predicting weather patterns, tracking storms, and assessing the impact of natural disasters. This research paper presents an evaluation of the radiometric calibration of the INSAT-3D and --3DR IMAGER using a reflectance-based method referenced to in-situ ground site measurements. Calibration campaigns were conducted at the Great Rann of Kutch (GROK) in Gujarat, India during February 2022 to ensure synchronous measurements of surface reflectance and atmospheric variables. In this study, the radiative transfer model called 6 SV (Second Simulation of a Satellite Signal in the Solar Spectrum Vector) was employed to simulate the Top-Of-Atmospheric (TOA) radiance. The calibration coef- ficients for the Visible (VIS) and Short Wave Infrared (SWIR) bands of the IMAGER were determined by comparing the TOA radiance obtained from the radiative transfer model with the Level 1B product of satellite data. The results convincingly demonstrate that the reflectance-based calibration method yields highly accurate and reliable radiometric calibration for both the VIS and SWIR bands of the INSAT-3D and --3DR IMAGER, with an uncertainty significantly smaller than the expected sensor degradation. Specifically, it was found that the VIS band of INSAT-3D underestimates the radiance value by 9.05%, while the VIS band of INSAT-3DR underestimates it by 4.88%. The study also discusses various sources of uncertainty and emphasizes the need for comprehensive uncertainty quantification to ensure the radiometric accuracy of the IMAGER data. Overall, the calibration results indicate that the absolute radiometric accuracy for the VIS and SWIR bands of the IMAGER on-board INSAT-3D and INSAT-3DR satellites is better than 4%. Biobutanol is a potential biofuel produced from various biomass and can serve as a suitable alternative to the nonrenewable fossil-based gasoline fuel. The fermentative microbes used for biobutanol production are solvent-producing Clostridium organisms by Acetone-Butanol-Ethanol (ABE) fermentation. The major challenges of ABE fermentation are butanol toxicity to the host strain, lack of effective fermentation strategies, inefficient butanol separation, and low 0.5–2% w/w yield. Butanol forms an azeotropic mixture with water and requires 79.5 MJ/kg energy for separation using conventional distillation when the energy content of butanol is only 36 MJ/kg; hence the separation by traditional distillation processes is inefficient. Recent developments in membrane technology, coupled with novel extractants and adsorbents, are promising for efficient, energy-effective, and economical bio-butanol separation. Among the techniques, liquid-liquid extraction has shown a high separation efficiency of 75–85% butanol with an energy demand of 25 MJ/kg, whereas adsorption and pervaporation have shown an energy demand of 35–40 MJ/kg. In the present review, a critical analysis of the recent trends, strategies, technical prospects, challenges, and economical evaluation of different methods of biobutanol recovery is presented. Investigations were undertaken for a better understanding of seasonality, interaction with tea ecosystem, and parasitic impact of an endoparasitoid Cotesia ruficrus (Haliday) (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) on the destructive tea looper Hyposidra talaca (Walker) (Lepidoptera: Geometridae). The population abundance of C. ruficrus was noticed as high in the months of pre-winter and spring seasons which was coincided with the population increase of H. talaca. C. ruficrus found to foraging and collecting nectar from the flowers of Lantana camera L., Moringa oleifera Lam., and Clerodendron infortunatum L. associated with the tea ecosystem. The life table parameters including intrinsic rate of natural increase (rm) and net reproductive rate (Ro) of C. ruficrus were 0.203 per day and 41.11 female offspring/female, respectively, with the gross reproductive rate (∑mx) 50.09 eggs/female. The parasitic impact of C. ruficrus has significantly affected the food consumption and development of H. talaca. Resultantly, a drastic reduction in body weight, changes in differential hemocyte count (DHC), and morphology of hemocytes were observed in parasitized host larvae. Toxic effect of quinalphos and thiamethoxam on C. ruficrus showed 100% mortality followed by bifenthrin > deltamethrin > emamectin benzoate > flubendiamide > fenpyroxymate after 72 h of the application. Limited literature exists in India on WhatsApp use for health communication among frontline health workers like Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANM). We conducted this study to assess the adoption of WhatsApp among ANMs and identify factors influencing its adoption. In addition, the study explored the perceptions of ANMs on WhatsApp use for sharing health information. We employed a mixed-method sequential explanatory design. We surveyed 259 ANMs, followed by in-depth interviews with 19 purposively sampled ANMs. We conducted multinomial logistic regression to identify factors associated with WhatsApp adoption and employed thematic analysis to analyze interviews. 257 ANMs responded to the survey questionnaire, of which 18.3%, 48.2%, and 33.5% had low, mid, and high levels of WhatsApp adoption, respectively. Education (AOR = 2.87 [95% CI = 1.20–6.85]), motivation (AOR = 6.31 [95% CI = 1.43–27.80]), and technical awareness (AOR = 2.91 [95% CI = 1.11–7.62]) were significantly associated with WhatsApp adoption. Thematic analysis of the interviews resulted in six themes describing perceptions and experiences of ANMs on WhatsApp use. They are: (i) a way of instant communication, (ii) provision for multimedia messaging, (iii) a quick fix tool for queries and concerns, (iv) make attendance and reporting easy (v) a way of reaching higher officials, and (vi) a cost-saving mechanism. WhatsApp facilitated ANMs' communication and service delivery at the grassroots level. Graphene-based separation membranes exhibit high separation potential to separate ions and molecules by the interlayer spacing with high surface area, porosity and tunable nanosized channels. The large-scale manufacturing of graphene-based membranes for gas separation is limited and challenging. Deposition of uniform, and selective ultrathin films as membrane is a big challenge for scalable separation with existing methods. In present study, solvent-ink-jet printing technique is applied for dispersing and uniform coating of graphene layers onto the membrane support. Preparation of graphene-based ink is the core objective of the operation for evaluating stability, coating and followed by separation studies. As prepared, graphene ink is filled in the cartridge of HP Desk-Jet-1110 series, which is available and slightly modified for the printing on the RO-membrane as support. The prepared membranes are characterized and analyzed for gas separation performance study. Separation of acid gases such as CO2 from biogas is a key step for its purification before biomethane is used in various applications such as injection into a pipeline or use as a vehicle fuel. In this study, the single step purification of real biogas (locally collected landfill gas) was demonstrated using (3-Aminopropyl) triethoxysilane (APTES)-grafted SBA-15. The sorbent was optimized between amine amount and accessibility to adsorption sites. In studies using a surrogate mixture of CH4/CO2 the sorbent recorded an adsorption capacity of 0.85 mmolCO2/gads under dry conditions and this decreased to 0.72 mmolCO2/gads when the surrogate biogas was saturated with steam. Even though the capacity was further decreased to 0.55 mmolCO2/gads using real landfill gas, it remained fairly stable over 5 cycles despite the presence of impurities, namely hydrogen sulfide (68 ppm). In all cases, the capacity was regenerated with a thermal treatment in inert gas at 100°C. The results suggested possibilities for a single step purification unit to remove acid gasses and water and provide potential for a streamlined operation for the separation of carbon dioxide from biogas. The cytotoxicity of ethanolic extract of Passiflora quadrangularis (PQ) leaves was analyzed on cancer cell lines by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay. Antitumor effect was analyzed on mouse solid and ascites tumor models. The phytochemical profile of the extract was analyzed by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS). Apoptosis and cell cycle were analyzed by fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) and flow cytometry. PQ exhibited cytotoxicity on Dalton's lymphoma ascites (DLA) and Ehrlich's ascites carcinoma cells with IC50 of 9.4 and 9.2 μg mL−1 and anti-proliferative effect on breast (MCF7) and colorectal (HCT116) cancer cell lines with IC50 of 166.5 and 107.09 μg mL−1, respectively. The extract did not show toxicity in normal rat intestinal cells IEC6 and murine macrophage cells RAW264.7. In ascites tumor model, the mean survival days of the animals increased to 25 ± 4.30 d in the treated group compared to untreated (21.2 ± 2.68 d). In DLA-induced solid model, the tumor weight decreased to 1.6 ± 0.9 g from 4.5 ± 0.58 g by treatment with 400 mg kg−1 b.w. extract. LC-MS analysis revealed the presence of genistein, kaempferol, isovitexin, and quercetin that are known for anticancer potential. The acute toxicity in mice revealed that PQ is nontoxic. In the present study, the bending analysis of multi walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) reinforced laminated tapered spherical composite panels subjected to transverse loading conditions is carried out using the finite element method (FEM) with displacement fields derived from high order shear deformation theory. In this regard, the elastic properties of the polymeric nanocomposite, considering the MWCNTs agglomeration, waviness and interphase thickness between the MWCNTs and polymer matrix were computed by employing various micromechanical approaches. Subsequently, glass-fiber were introduced as a reinforcement phase, and the overall elastic properties of a three-phase MWCNT/fiber/polymer hybrid nanocomposite material were obtained using Chamis model. The accuracy of the developed FE formulation were verified using the experimental and numerical data available in the open literature. After verification, the deflection and stresses of the panel are numerically determined for various taper configurations. Further, detailed parametric analysis is carried out to explore the influence of various parameters such as CNT content, agglomeration, waviness, interphase area, thickness ratio, curvature ratio and taper configurations on the bending results of laminated tapered spherical panels. It was observed that an increase in the weight fraction of CNTs, an equal number of agglomeration parameter and the thickness of the interphase have a positive effect in minimizing the deflection and stresses. It was also observed that the TC-2 and TC-3 taper configurations results the highest and lowest deflection. In the recent past, through the exact patterning and refinement of the microstructure, cryogenic treatment considerably improves the mechanical properties of the materials. Cryo-processing improves dimensional stability and wear resistance in aerospace, tool, and die industries. The impact of cryogenically treating wire electrodes on WEDM performance parameters are investigated in this work. Utilizing various wire electrodes, including molybdenum, deep cryo-treated, and untreated brass wire, analysis was done on the machining performance, including MRR, SF, and KW. The experimental results show cryogenically treated wire has advantages over untreated, including better surface quality, a higher material removal rate (MRR), and increased conductivity. Cryogenic treatment of wire electrodes reduces residual stress and improves atomic bonding, improving WEDM machining performance. Cryogenically treated wire improved MRR by 4.48% and 1.64% over molybdenum and plain brass wire, respectively. Plain brass wire had a superior surface finish than cryogenic-treated and molybdenum wire by 1.15% and 2.20%, respectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Value co-creation (VCC) has gained momentum in recent years due to the dramatic growth of digital technology. There is an ever-growing surge in academia and industry to understand the dimensions and outcomes of VCC through various digital platforms. However, there is sparse literature on VCC in the bottom of the pyramid (BoP) context, especially for technology-driven healthcare. Drawing on the service-dominant (S-D) logic and consumer culture theory (CCT), this research develops and validates a VCC model in the context of mobile healthcare for poor patients at the BoP. The findings identify VCC as a hierarchical construct that has a direct and indirect impact on continuance intentions and patient's quality of life (QOLI) in which empowerment plays a mediating role. We read with great interest the article by Oyeniran E et al. on "Isolated optic disc granuloma as a presenting sign of sarcoidosis." We would like to share our experience with a similar optic nerve head granuloma secondary to sarcoidosis in the absence of any systemic symptoms and no evidence of signs of periocular/intraocular inflammation. Dried foods are higher in nutrients than their fresh counterparts. Numerical modeling, such as computational fluid dynamics (CFD), can be used to simulate the drying process and its method, thereby the effort to fine-tune the physical experimentation can be minimized considerably. In the present study, a CFD simulation model is developed based on the experimental investigation of the drying of Amaranth leaves in the CFD optimized drying chamber of a heat pump dryer (HPD). The distribution of the fluid domain and the influence of various circumstances on heat and mass transfer are investigated. In order to solve the mass transfer equation, an external model is developed in "C" language for the source term of moisture generation in the moisture transport equation and energy equation. This external model is then linked to the model using a user defined function (UDF) in the FLUENT CFD software. The calculated and measured drying temperature and moisture fraction are presented as a function of drying time. The obtained transient simulation results of the drying process are validated with the experimental results. The results of the CFD simulation are in accordance with the experimental results as per the physics of the problem. The maximum deviation between the experimental and CFD moisture-time plot is observed to be less than 8%. The difference between CFD and experimental results is attributed to temperature assumption, heat losses, and air leakage in the drying chamber. Here, we have established method for the synthesis of isothiocyanates using diacetoxyiodobenzene as a desulfurizing agent under micellar condition in water. We have explored functional group tolerance under optimized reaction conditions. All electron donating and withdrawing amines carried out the reaction to produce their corresponding desired isothiocyanates 1a–17a in moderate to good yield. This synthetic process in water can be applied to prepare isothiocyanates at gram-scale quantity. Our aqueous micellar medium also demonstrated high reusability as the reaction can be performed for several cycles without losing its efficiency. Liquidambarines A − C (1−3), three new abietane-type diterpenoids, together with five known compounds (4−8) were isolated from the resin of Liquidambar formosana Hance. Their structures were elucidated by the combination of spectroscopic and computational methods. We explored their anti-inflammatory potential by analyzing the protein expression of iNOS and COX-2. Compounds 1 and 3 exhibit significant anti-inflammatory activities without cytotoxicity.
