The International Conference on the History of Records and Archives (ICHORA) has been held since 2003, with the most recent conference, ICHORA10, taking place online in July 2022. The conference aimed to reflect on the centenary of two significant events in recordkeeping history in the UK and Ireland. Citations are valuable capital in the academy as the number of citations is the most frequently used indicator in evaluating the quality of papers, journals, researchers, and universities. Thus, the characteristics of highly cited articles (HCA) have become a common research topic but the approach has been mainly descriptive with no profound critical reflection of what kind of research is cited, where the research is from, where the research is published, and what do these things mean for edtech research. This paper contributes to this need by providing a descriptive and critical analysis of 200 highly cited articles from 10 edtech journals. To summarize the key findings, a 'typical' edtech HCA is a Western-based review article or quantitative research paper reporting positive findings from higher education, published in a high-impact factor general edtech journal by a major publisher. In this paper, we suggest that in most cases there is no need for a lengthy description of methodological procedures in qualitative higher education journal articles. Doing so often adds no real value beyond creating a scientific façade, and the space this requires as a proportion of the total paper word limit could be better utilized for crafting a more critical contribution for the field. With the relatively short word limits allowed for articles, there is always a trade-off between what can be covered and what might be needed. However, our preference would be to have journals and authors use the space to develop a deeper conceptual or theoretical engagement with the topic of interest, rather than writing about interview protocols and how codes and themes were identified. The paper at hand addresses the Economic Lot Scheduling Problem (ELSP), which is concerned with finding a feasible and cost-minimal production schedule for multiple items produced in lots on a single machine. The ELSP started to attract the attention of researchers in the 1950s, where the focus was primarily on the development of simple heuristics for solving the problem. Over the subsequent decades, this topic has frequently been addressed in the literature, with the subject of research being the development of new scheduling policies or solution procedures or extensions of the scope of the original model. To date, a large number of journal articles has been published on the ELSP and its model variants. To identify key research themes, publication patterns and opportunities for future research, the paper at hand applies a content analysis to a sample of 242 papers published on the Economic Lot Scheduling Problem. The results of the content analysis indicate that prior research on this topic had a strong focus on the development of solution methodologies, and that several aspects that are directly connected to lot sizing and scheduling have not attracted much attention in research on the ELSP yet, such as, for example, energy cost and sustainability. The author reflects on the measurement of the impact factor (IF) of a journal to assess its quality. He mentions the issues of concern regarding the impact factor in the way authors are encouraged to submit papers to high IF journals and the period in which the journal IF is assessed. He emphasizes that as the perceived importance of the IF rises, concerns over its use and objectivity also grow. He also stresses the need to have a debate about the future of the journal IF.

This study extended previous research on several citation-based bibliometric variables for highly cited articles in a large (N = 100) number of journals related to Kinesiology. Total citations and citation rate of the 30 most highly cited articles in each journal were identified by searchers ofGoogle Scholar(GS). Other major biblometric variables for these journals were obtained from three databases: Thomson-Reuters’Journal Citation Reports, SCImago Journal and Country Rank, andEigenfactor.org. Two variables (SCImago Journal Rank and the Impact Factor) were aligned with journal impact, and two variables (Eigenfactor™ and Hirsh index) were aligned with journal prestige. There was great variation in median citation rates of highly cited articles across these journals indexed inGS. Correlations confirmed the different impact and prestige structure in these Kinesiology journals, which has also been previously observed in Kinesiology and other academic fields. There is a need for scholar ratings of Kinesiology journals because of the disparate citation rates in different sub-disciplines and the multi-factorial nature of journal influence, as well as to improve the recognition of Kinesiology as a distinct field of study. Contemporary supply chains are facing myriad types of risks caused by unprecedented risk factors. This condition motivates us to develop a contemporary supply chain risk typology to help identify and monitor newly surfaced risks and reveal emerging topics and research collaborators to help foster impactful research in supply chain risk management (SCRM). In this paper, we applied the scholarly network analysis approach to critically analyse an extensive list of 345 SCRM journal articles published from 2011 to 2020. We address two research questions: What is the contemporary supply chain risk typology? How can SCRM research be mapped comprehensively in terms of its emerging topics and research collaborators? First, we propose a novel and holistic classification of supply chain risks based on three interconnected perspectives, namely the characteristics, the location, and the impact of risks. Second, we identify five emerging SCRM topics. In each of these emerging topics, we identify the prominent collaborators and the core author, the main research themes, commonly used approaches and theories, and potential research agendas for bridging the identified research gaps. The aim of this paper is to help writers at all levels improve their likelihood of success in having papers accepted by academic peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Interprofessional Care. We discuss the importance of reading both in your own discipline and also more widely across disciplines and fields of study. There are sections on the attributes of good authors, how to choose a journal, types of articles that are published and the structure of these, the contrast between research and evaluation, and how to plan a paper. We stress the importance of reading and complying with a journal's author guidelines and answering the 'so what' question by the end of the article. There is more detail about the main elements of a paper and what should be included in the introduction, methods, results (findings) and discussion to improve the quality of the reporting. As well as content we also focus on the style of writing. We finish with a discussion of the submission and review processes, why papers may be rejected and how to manage decisions on papers. Dissemination of scholarly work is paramount to the advancement of the interprofessional field; we invite authors to consider our advice and in so doing help strengthen the quality and rigor of interprofessional scholarship. This essay replies to Phillip Reichling's recent article in this journal defending a principle of rescue I proposed, but rejected, in my paper, 'Climbing high and letting die' (2021). I argued that 'the comparable risk principle' imposes unreasonable demands on adventure sport athletes, for it implies that because they assume substantial risks for sport, they have duties to assume comparable risks to rescue others – duties that would otherwise be supererogatory precisely because of the risks involved. Reichling (2022) defends the principle and contends that once these athletes have assumed substantial risks for sport, they cannot reasonably claim that a rescue that involves comparable risks is too risky. I argue here, however, that Reichling fails to recognize that one can have good personal reasons for assuming risks that do not prevent one from reasonably citing comparable risks as a justification for not rescuing others. So although adventure sport athletes assume risks for personal reasons, it does not follow that they have a duty to assume comparable risks to rescue others. Scientists, as human beings, sometimes make mistakes. The aim of this case study was to examine the misreferencing practice of scientists. Citations of two documents about the neuroimaging of a dead salmon were collected. A total of 173 references were extracted from Google Scholar and analyzed by both qualitative and quantitative methods. The findings reveal a reference error rate of 93.1%, involving 419 authors. Sociological and bibliometric data about the authors were collected and revealed that referencing errors can be committed by all types of researchers. Further, a major referencing error was discovered in 22.5% of the citing documents, involving 121 authors, that is, the citation of a poster as if it were an article published in a prestigious journal. This major error was committed by the more prolific and recognized researchers. The higher the first author's number of citations, number of publications or h-index, the more major reference errors (citing a 'ghost' paper) were committed. Nevertheless, the ScienceDirect database bears some responsibility, as it indexed abstracts of the Organization for Human Brain Mapping meeting as journal articles that had never been published in the prestigious NeuroImage journal. The current study identifies the most important corporate governance topics being discussed in the industry and academia. The findings are based on a series of comparative automated content analyses of 742 public tourism and hospitality companies' governance statements published between 2013 and 2022 and on 129 corporate governance-related journal articles in tourism and hospitality. The findings show that industry's top corporate governance themes are executive compensation, board of directors' qualifications, and voting. The paper compares these with academia's top five themes: firm performance, corporate social responsibility, management practices, local development, and growth opportunities. This paper examines two leading questions of current German spatial-planning-research. The first question regards the significance of co-authorships in German-language spatial planning research, measuring the extent of interdisciplinarity and cooperation. Compared with other disciplines, stable co-authorships have less importance. The second question pertains to the role of theoretical bases in the journal articles: Large parts of publications in spatial-planning-journals have minimal theoretical foundations. Therefore, even as a practice orientated discipline , spatial planning research must improve the process of knowledge production, such as by building stable co-authorship-networks and a better theoretical foundation of its empirical work. This article presents a survey of the literature on the application of operational research (OR) in healthcare, with a particular focus on behavioural considerations. In order to explore the extent to which behavioural aspects are included, we perform a search of the most relevant OR journals for articles with content related to the representation of behaviour in models, evidence of behavioural change using models, and the impact on organisations beyond the use of a model. A detailed analysis of 130 articles is presented and shows that the majority are focused on improving service delivery at an organisational level. The most common OR methods depicting behaviour are simulation and qualitative methods, but there is evidence of the use across a range of methods. However, in many cases, authors do not necessarily acknowledge the behavioural aspects in their papers. Given many aspects of healthcare are influenced by human behaviour, it is important that future work makes more explicit the assumptions used to represent behaviour, test the sensitivity of models to different behavioural assumptions, and offer more information about how users employ models to make decisions. Although artificial intelligence (AI) has been adopted in sharing economy platforms, few studies have investigated this phenomenon in this context. Consequently, there is no thorough overview of how AI has been used in the sharing economy. To address this research gap, a systematic literature review was performed for this paper. This method can be useful for the exploration of new and emerging trends within disciplines and allows boundaries to be mapped on what is known thereby identifying gaps on what is yet to be known. After screening, 28 English journal articles were selected in a qualitative synthesis. Results show AI can help the sharing economy platforms by enhancing trust, matching assets, and understanding participants' preferences and attitudes. Based on these findings, potential directions are established. The current study will contribute to both the sharing economy and AI literature, and the results may help practitioners and academia to achieve a greater understanding of this topic. The circular economy (CE) has inspired the emergence of circular supply chains (CSCs) to reduce the environmental impacts of linear production systems. However, the transition to CSCs faces numerous challenges and uncertainties, which in turn impact the sustainability performance of CSCs. Following a systematic review process, this paper aims to identify the uncertainties that CSCs entail and the uncertainty management strategies which can be used to mitigate them to enhance their sustainability performance. A conceptual framework is proposed under which the current literature on CSCs, including 106 peer-reviewed English journal articles, is analysed and discussed based on CE practices, uncertainty management, and sustainability performance indicators. This framework offers guidance to CE and CSC scholars and supports practitioners and policymakers in being aware of the uncertainties related to the operationalisation and implementation of the CE in order to offer CE-inspired solutions. This paper also proposes a research agenda to investigate the integration of CE practices with supply chain management; the ways in which organisations manage different uncertainties simultaneously; and the effect of multiple uncertainty management strategies on firms' sustainability performance. This study aimed to identify emerging industrial root technologies from the unstructured text of journal papers, in order to establish a research and development (R&D) strategy. Hence, a structural topic model and topic matrix analysis were employed to evaluate the promising topics in Korean and international root technology papers, published from 2011 to 2019, from a domestic perspective. Subsequently, 75 topics in the main research domains of root technology were identified. Of these identified topics, five requiring leading R&D and five requiring follow-up R&D were selected based on priority: 'Corrosion', 'device current–voltage characteristics', 'electrode', 'carbide alloy', and 'titanium alloy' were determined to be the leading R&D topics, whereas 'material applications', 'photocatalytic activity', 'additive manufacturing', 'ductility', and 'high-entropy alloy' were determined to be the follow-up R&D topics. These results are significant because journal articles were used to determine emerging technologies according to the differences between the research published in Korean and international journals. The Institutional Repository (IR) concept has given a new dimension to information management in the Internet age. The introduction of an IR can help to redefine the production, dissemination, and the use of resources. This study found that a total of 436 IR research papers published in 118 journals originated from 68 countries. These research papers contain 2,071 citations with an average of ˜4.8 citations per publication. Moreover, out of the total 159 institutions involved in IR research, a majority of them are located in the United States and the United Kingdom. Mainly, out of the fourteen most productive countries eight have recorded TAIs of >100, and six countries recorded TAIs of <100. Most published papers have a single author, i.e., 176 (40.4%), followed by two authors: 152 (34.9%). Interestingly, India, Australia, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Malaysia, and Italy have not published any paper with more than five authors. Purdue University has witnessed the highest (˜2) relative citations impact (RCI) on its publications. Elizabeth Yakel from the University of Michigan has published the most papers (7: 1.6%), which have received ˜34 citations. This paper examines the key individual contributors and institutional contributors to JPSSM, covering 628 articles written by 761 authors since the journal's inception in fall/winter 1980 until its fall 2009 issue. The nature and the dynamics of the coauthor networks of the journal's leading individual contributors are further investigated. Results indicate that leading contributors to JPSSM are also major contributors to other academic outlets that have published sales research. These authors possess at least one common trait: they effectively network and collaborate with other sales scholars. In addition, their coauthor networks change over time, both in membership and in structure. For the most, coauthor networks evolve by reducing some members and bringing in new ones. In many cases, however, membership change is accompanied by a structural change, usually from a fragmented network to a dense network. Research findings have important implications for understanding the development of sales knowledge and the contribution of sales scholars and their institutions. University administrators can also use the findings of this paper as a benchmark to define "reasonable" publication expectations for faculty with an interest in sales management research. Burgess and Bruns (2015) have linked the computational turn in social media research to an increase in the number of studies focussing exclusively on 'easy data', such as the 'low hanging fruit' provided by Twitter hashtags. This paper explores whether there is a preponderance of such easy data in digital activism research through a systematic review of relevant journal articles published between 2011 and 2018 (N = 315). Specifically, it examines whether computational digital methods have become increasingly prominent in digital activism research during this period. A key focus of the paper is the extent to which digital activism research focused on easily accessible Twitter data, and whether these were obtained via standard API services. Results indicate that (1) traditional research methodologies were more commonly deployed in these articles than digital methods, but (2) Twitter was the most researched platform in the corpus, and (3) single-platform hashtag studies were an archetype of digital activism research alongside single-platform Facebook studies and holistic approaches (hybrid, multi-method & multi-sited, e.g., ethnography). Purpose: This paper aims to present a bibliometric analysis of scientific documents in the field of traumatic brain injury rehabilitation. Methods: Web of Science was used to collect bibliographic data of traumatic brain injury rehabilitation documents from 1983 until the end of 2017. Results: Of a total of 6069 documents retrieved, 78.2% were journal articles. The average annual growth of the documents as of the year 2000 was 9.4%. The most frequent subject categories in this field were Rehabilitation, Neurosciences and Neurology, Sport Sciences, Psychology, and General and Internal Medicine. The most active journal was Brain Injury. More than 50% of the documents were published in 10 journals. The most prolific and impactful institutions were from the USA, Australia and Canada. Traumatic brain injury, rehabilitation, brain injury, stroke and outcome were the most commonly used keywords. Mild traumatic brain injury and concussion were the topics receiving attention in recent years. Conclusion: Traumatic brain injury rehabilitation is a young and constantly growing field. Since the late 1990s, traumatic brain injury rehabilitation documents published yearly comprised about 3–4% of all rehabilitation documents. It was shown that review papers and proceedings have more impact than journal articles, and collaborative papers receive more citations. There has been increasing interest on the apparent underrepresentation of African-based scholars in economics scholarship on Africa. Much of this debate, however, proceeds with little by way of evidence in demonstrating whether such an underrepresentation actually exists in the first place. In this paper, I look at the patterns of authorship over the period 2005–2015 in 'leading' economics journals that publish regularly on Africa. I find that, on average, only 25 per cent of the journal articles published on Africa had at-least one African-based author over this period. Further, I find that whereas the journals I consider dedicate about 30 per cent of their content on Africa, only 3 per cent of their editorial boards are based on the continent. This paper contributes to geographic literature on the effects of inequity in citational practice and politics, focusing in particular on onto-epistemological diversity (or lack thereof) in animal geographies’ citational structures. Through a bibliometric analysis of journal articles in Anglophone animal geographies (as a subdiscipline of human geography), we examine the intersections between citational trends, the contours of knowledge in the field and everyday academic lives. Our goal in this paper is to highlight some of the ways in which citational inequities are fueled. Specifically, our analysis shows that within Anglophone animal geographies, citational esteem can accrue through institutional networks and shared onto-epistemologies, which often go along with ethical and political orientations that refrain from explicitly contesting the status-quo of anthropocentrism. We ground our analysis with a reflective discussion of everyday academic practice to understand the multi-scalar dynamics and implications of citational politics and prompt heightened reflexivity among geographers concerning how animal and other geographies are constructed and reproduced – and how these reproductions can be contested. AbstractIn many countries, volunteers make an important contribution to protecting and restoring natural ecosystems through participating in activities such as planting, weeding and species monitoring. However, many environmental groups have low recruitment and retention rates. It is therefore important to understand people’s motivations to participate in environmental volunteering. In this context, this paper systematically reviews the limited literature on this topic. A thorough database search identified 44 relevant peer-reviewed journal articles. These papers identified a range of key factors motivating people to volunteer in conservation initiatives including, helping the environment, helping the community, learning, being in nature, and social factors. The literature also showed that there is variation in motivations between individuals, and that different motivations can develop over time. The literature also provides insights into barriers to volunteering and how to recruit and retain environmental volunteers, which is a major factor in the success of conservation initiatives. In this article, the author describes the use of primary literature readings in an upper-division undergraduate field course. One of the two main learning goals of the course was to teach students how to read academic articles in economics with a critical eye. This was accomplished by providing students with a structured framework for summarizing the main methods and results of each paper and feedback provided on short written reports and during in-class discussion activities. With the further promotion of "Double First-Class" construction of universities in China, the new goal of all universities is building the first-class discipline. Academic library is the literature center of university, subject services of library should follow the pace of discipline development. In this paper, the citation frequency, which is considered as one of the important indicators of scientific research evaluation and academic evaluation, is taken as the breakthrough point. We take pharmacology as an example, take Web of Science as the platform, analyze the journal articles of this discipline in 2006–2016, reveal the characteristics of highly cited articles and the causes of zero cited articles. Library and information science as a discipline is undergoing rapid and extensive change, driven particularly by new areas of research. Citation analysis and information literacy are widely researched and have a rich background of growth. Publish or Perish, Buzzsumo.com, altmetrics.com, and textalyser.net have been used to analyze all metrics associated with citation analysis, social networking, and keyword analysis. The hypothesis of this study is: "There is no significant difference in the citation pattern of the three prominent citation journals: Journal of Information Literacy, Communications in Information Literacy and Nordic Journal of Information Literacy in Higher Education". The hypotheses of the study were tested by assessment of the degree to which each of the journals met set of objective criteria. 697 papers from the three journals were analyzed and the results showed that the citation metrics of the Journal of Information Literacy had the highest correspondence with the criteria. The information linked to the Journals of Information Literacy was moderately posted on social networking sites (SNS) and the highest frequency of the keywords: "Information"; "Information literacy"; and "Information literacy instruction" were found in one, two and three-word searches. The high dropout rate from Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) has been a major concern of researchers and educators over the years. Although academic papers on MOOCs have mushroomed over the past ten years, few studies have focused on MOOC dropout and retention. In particular, research on hospitality and tourism MOOCs has remained nascent despite the field's significant contribution to international business and global employment. Because of the lack of relevant literature on hospitality and tourism MOOCs, this study conducts a systematic review of the MOOC literature on the broader education field, examining the MOOC dropout phenomenon and retention strategies. The results of a content analysis based on journal articles' main research topic show four clusters: prediction, continuance intention, motivation, and attrition. Thematic analysis is used to categorize the dropout factors into seven major themes: learning experience, interactivity, course design, technology, language, time, and situation. In this article, we report on the findings of a systematic review of the literature on leadership and the Millennial generation (alternatively known as Generation Y). The purpose of this systematic review was to further our understanding of this cohort by exploring how Millennials are defined and understood within the leadership literature. We reviewed a 'bounded set' of journal articles (n = 162) published between 2000 and 2018. Data analysis focused on analysing identified modal trends as well as examining patterns of knowledge production. This article begins by situating our review in previous generational and leadership research. It then moves on to outline the method of review adopted, and our key findings. We reflect on the implications of these key findings for the recruitment, retention and professional development of Millennial leaders (both current and future). Since the 1980s, research on relative age effects (RAEs) consistently shows that relatively older individuals are advantaged in sport and other contexts. With the recent proliferation of studies on RAEs, periodic knowledge synthesis becomes imperative. Our purpose was to conduct a cross-disciplinary citation network analysis of RAEs literature to enhance our knowledge of RAEs citation structures and the interconnectivity of RAEs studies. We analysed 484 RAEs articles found in Web of Science that were published before 2022. Descriptive results revealed a 12.6% annual growth rate for total RAEs articles published since 1980. The articles appeared in 151 journals, had 1,180 unique authors, and averaged 23.9 citations received. Three theoretical/review papers had the most substantial influence on the field. For the conceptual structure of the field, it was apparent that RAEs research focused mainly on sport performance, maturity, and competition. Regarding intellectual structure, three distinct clusters of articles were cited together, and 13 authorship clusters were detected with few between-cluster connections. The results describe a field with productivity but little interconnectivity among authors and papers. Relationship quality research in sport has received increased attention in recent years. A systematic review is needed to synthesise this growing body of scholarship to inform future inquiry. We reviewed the extant literature to ask: when, where and how has previous relationship quality research been conducted? Which sporting relationships and perspectives have been examined? What theories, scales and constructs have been utilised to examine relationship quality? We conclude by outlining critical gaps in knowledge requiring further research consideration. Sixty-three peer-reviewed journal articles focusing on the examination of relationship quality within organised sport settings were identified for analysis utilising the systematic quantitative literature review (SQLR) method. Relationship quality studies have been conducted across diverse geographic and sporting contexts; however, a discrepancy exists in the theoretical underpinnings, relationships examined, and methodologies employed. Only a third of papers applied a guiding theory when investigating relationship quality. The majority (75%) of papers limited their investigation to singular dyadic connections from one perspective. Significant gaps in knowledge regarding the relationship quality experienced by several key groups, such as managers, administrators and officials remain under researched. The synthesis provided by the review highlights opportunities to advance knowledge in this emerging research area. Our findings demonstrate that relationship quality research has not yet fully realised the potential of multi-dyad perspectives and diverse theoretical underpinnings contributing to discourse. As a seasoned consultant, he was pivotal in shaping population policies and programs in more than 10 Asian countries, impacting the region’s demographic landscape. Throughout his illustrious career, Gavin has left an indelible mark through his prolific publications, with 30 books, over 180 journal articles, and book chapters. His body of work covered various demographic subjects in the Asia-Pacific region, significantly contributing to our understanding of population dynamics in Southeast, South, and East Asia. His research has been instrumental in informing policy decisions in these regions by providing evidence-based recommendations. In addition to his consultancy and academic achievements, Gavin actively engaged in professional networks, fostering collaborations and facilitating knowledge exchange among fellow demographers and researchers. His commitment to mentorship has been invaluable, nurturing emerging demographers and supporting the next generation of population scholars in population and development. A total of 3719 articles appearing in five key generalist forensic psychology journals (n = 1374) and six more specialist targeted forensically related journals (n = 2345) between 2015 and 2020 were subject to a bibliometric analysis to reveal trends in research topics, populations studied, jurisdiction, and research methods employed. Research on offenders dominated and over half of all the papers were located in North American jurisdictions. About a third of papers made explicit reference to diversity and two thirds of research designs employed quantitative methodologies. The discussion features comments on changing trends over time from forensic psychology's initial narrow focus on witness testimony to its current broader remit, and the different coverage between targeted and generalist journals.
