The purpose of the present paper is to map the characteristics of scientific papers related to culinary arts education and the competencies models theory. The methodology consists of co-word, co-citation, citation, coauthor bibliometric analysis, and the generation of visual maps on VOSviewer software. The results found 17 publications, 12 journals, 37 authors, 9 countries, 46 keywords, and 623 references. Scopus database is the one that shows more results; the search terms are competencies and culinary arts. The most critical years are in terms of the number of published papers, 2016 and 2017. The leading journals are The Culinary Science & Technology and Hospitality & Tourism Education. The research on the theme is based on subjects' labor relations, in the context in which they perform their training. American authors lead the ranking of publications, but they are not the most cited ones, no relationship is found in the institutional links of these authors. The contribution that this bibliometric study presents acts as a support for future research in order to avoid mistakes regarding the use of scattered terms, database choice, methods gaps, main references, and the main authors about competencies models theory on culinary arts education. This article presents an overview that systematically maps the historical development, thematic foci and temporal trends of research in Balkan – Southeast European studies. It uses bibliographic and content analysis as well as other tools to synthesize around 8000 scholarly publications on the Balkans – Southeast Europe that are indexed in the Web of Science databases (SSCI, A&HCI, ESCI, BKCI-SSH). We provide a visual representation of the intellectual historiography and the conceptual content and dynamics of Balkan – Southeast European studies, identifying the most prominent works, the active research themes and the emerging trajectories in the field. Using bibliometric methods, this report analysed the volumes of global forest research and research collaboration between researchers, institutes and countries during the period 2010–2019. The keywords used in the bibliometric search resulted in a good match with the publication lists of three major Finnish forest research organisations. The final corpus of "forest" publications consisted of 355,000 articles, proceeding papers, reviews, books, book chapters and letters listed in the Web of Science database. During 2010–2019, the volume of Finnish publications in forest sciences have increased and the share of internationally collaborative papers has also grown. However, the international position of Finnish and Nordic forest research is slowly declining, owing to the modest growth in publishing, compared to fast-growing countries like China and Russia. When comparing Finnish and Swedish research organisations, those from Sweden were more internationally oriented. In both countries, the five top institutes produced more than three quarters of their country's respective publications. Analyses based on bibliometric data used in this study reveal the status regarding publication output and trends. The amalgamation of machine learning and big data has led to a revolution in data science with several influencing applications to various domains. To gain insights on the current research trends on machine learning for big data analytics, this study follows a bibliometric analysis methodology of citation data to review and quantitatively assess the explosion and impact of literature and research performance in this vibrant research area, which has witnessed rapid changes and rising interest in business, industry and academia. Using a variety of bibliometric measures and visualisation techniques, the paper examines and identifies several related issues including research productivity and directions, major contributors, publication trends and growth rates, citation and collaboration analysis, and others. The relevant bibliographic units for the study were collected from the Core Collection of the Web of Science bibliographic database. Nearly all the relevant publications prior to February 2018 were included in the analysis. The overwhelming productivity and wide-spread applications in several multidisciplinary domains have been revealed, with one-to-two ratio of journal to conference publications. The literature on 'Sleeping Beauties' (SBs), papers that have been 'asleep' for a certain amount of time and that, suddenly, gain a significant amount of attention, is not very extensive, and has analyzed the phenomenon mainly in the Sciences. The present study seeks to find the SBs and their 'Princes' (first studies citing the SBs that have more citations and more co-citations with the SBs) in the field of International Business (IB). In terms of methodology we resort to a model that involves citation and co-citation analyses applied to a sample of 19419 papers on IB published in journals indexed in Web of Science bibliographic database. Four main findings can be highlighted: 1) SBs are a rare phenomenon in IB as only 8 SBs were found (0.04% of the total papers analyzed); 2) They focused issues related to the process of firm internationalization, international entrepreneurship, global strategies, and performance and risk management; 3) They were published in highly renowned journals, such as Journal of International Business Studies; Journal of Management Studies or Strategic Management Journal; and 4) They slept between 5 and 18 years and were awaked by 22 princes. Differently from what has been stressed in the literature about SBs, most SBs in IB presented more than one 'awakening time' and were composed by 'clusters' of princes instead of a single prince. The study of SBs is a useful and instructive model in studying the mechanisms of scientific information flow through citations. It highlights that the excessive reliance on articles' current citations might prevent the uncovering of studies that are ahead of their time. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
