The effect of policy-oriented agricultural insurance on increasing farmers' income has been controversial all the time. In light of this, this paper first clarifies the operation mechanism of policy-oriented agricultural insurance and its influence mechanism on farmers' income from the theoretical level. Secondly, the fixed-effect model and panel quantile regression are used to empirically test the income effect of policy-based agricultural insurance on farmers, especially the effect on farmers of different income groups based on the panel data of 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government) in China from 2007 to 2019. The results show that although policy-oriented agricultural insurance is beneficial to the increase of farmers' income on the whole, which has significant heterogeneity on farmers of different income groups, and its influence becomes greater with the increase of farmers' income. In the future, China should attach importance to the design of differentiated subsidy system, adhere to demand orientation so as to be vigilant that agricultural insurance will become the inducement of widening income gap in rural areas on the basis of vigorously develop policy-based agricultural insurance in a continuous manner. This paper analyses the legal framework of Chinese-funded enterprises' agricultural investment under the background of big data. To analyses the policies even that contradictions with several entities and their problems were undertaken to choose the best judgements using a decision making support system in the context analysis of the big data approach. Under the conditions of the market economy, to ensure the sustainable development of China's agricultural investment, the construction and improvement of the legal system is an effective way. Meanwhile, under on the background of big data, on the basis of in-depth reflection on the history, current situation, problems and institutional roots of China's agricultural investment legal system, this paper draws on the experience and lessons of foreign agricultural investment legal systems to conduct a more systematic analysis of China's agricultural investment legal system from the perspective of economic law. Climate change and public health emergencies have severely threatened world food security. In response, the Chinese government has actively promoted sustainable agricultural practices (SAPs) and emphasized the importance of integrated packages to enhance the development of high-quality agriculture. However, due to information failure, farmers' adoption rate of SAPs is still very low. Meanwhile, internet use can effectively reduce the cost of information barriers and catalyze farmers to promote the joint adoption of SAPs. This paper aims to theoretically elucidate the logic of how internet use impacts farmers' joint adoption of SAPs. Empirical analysis based on data from 844 rice farmers in southern China reveals that internet use can significantly promote the joint adoption of SAPs, and adoption behaviours are complementary across multiple technologies. Furthermore, internet use in the group of rice farmers with more farmlands or those receiving subsidies is more inclined to adopt SAPs jointly. These findings suggest that developing countries should prioritize public investment in rural internet infrastructure to facilitate joint adoption of SAPs through farmers' internet use. The moderate scale of farmland usage and targeted agricultural subsidy policies can further enhance the effectiveness of ICT-based joint adoption of SAPs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Farmers' adoption of green agricultural technologies (GATs) could reduce the negative environmental impacts of traditional agriculture in China. Despite the benefits of GATs, their adoption rate has not been high. While previous studies have examined the information and communication technologies that influence the adoption of GATs, most have selected only one of the GATs and have not distinguished between public and private channels of knowledge acquisition. In this paper, based on a sample of 732 rural households from Hubei Province, we used a negative binomial model to examine the role of knowledge acquisition channels on GATs adoption. Overall, we found that radio and the government (through its face-to-face channels) are positively associated with farmers' adoption of GATs; however, farmers adopted more GATs when they had acquired knowledge from the government than from radio. A possible explanation and a policy implication is that direct communication with farmers and practical demonstration of the benefits of GATs are preferred to passive reception of information. Agriculture in China is undergoing a swift transformation to modify labour relocation. This change is spearheaded by commercial farms and other Chinese government interventions thereby promoting agricultural production and rural growth. The input-dependent industrial model of agriculture is also considered in conflict with attaining a safe and healthy environment for its inhabitants. The current approaches initiated in the tea sector have witnessed several enriched sustainable agricultural technologies (SATs). The SATs seek to increase yield while ensuring agricultural sustainability via ecological strategies. However, reports have shown farmers have low desire resulting in a lower acceptance rate of SATs among Chinese farmers. We provide a systematic review with a focus on the key determinants of SATs adoption rate in tea production in China from 2000 to 2022. The results revealed the significance and suitability of different approaches in establishing farmers' adoption behaviour. The specificity of farmers' SAT adoption behaviour is essentially not compromised by any codified variables but the interrelationship among the determinants, including socio-demographic, agroecological and environmental, technological, institutional, and social networks, and informational, and farmer behavioural factors. A large number of farms in developing countries are smallholder farms. In China, this trend is expected to persist for the foreseeable future. However, smallholder farmers in China face several challenges, including excessive fertilizer use for higher yields, low levels of education, aging and limited credit information. Moreover, they are struggling with a digital divide, which hampers their agricultural productivity and limits their economic and social integration. Agricultural services based on information and communication technology (ICT) can bridge the digital gap, but are hindered by complexity and cost. Aiming at serving the numerous smallholders and building a sustainable digital ecosystem, this paper presents a distributed agriculture service system that provides decision support to farmers by considering both social and physical information. The system is lightweight, low cost and intelligent, managing personnel, plots, crops and equipment using technologies such as wireless sensor networks, cloud computing and distributed systems architecture. Services include crop planning, production guidance, equipment control, etc. User terminals include computers, mobile applications and Applets. A case study on fruit production in a typical solar greenhouse illustrates the system's functionality. Under the background of Internet technology, due to the uneven distribution of information, poor stability of various links, low product quality and standards, and immature development of cold chain logistics network, China's agricultural products e-commerce omnichannel supply chain cannot match the diversified needs of consumers. Based on the background of Internet technology, on the basis of exploring the reverse integration value demands of agricultural products e-commerce omnichannel supply chain, this paper constructs three modes of consumption leading business process, service leading organisation and linear value creation, and puts forward the specific implementation path, so as to realise the standardisation and modern operation of agricultural products e-commerce omnichannel supply chain. The degree of networking has a significant impact on the performance of venture capital firms. Conversely, social network analysis comprises the identification of furthermost prestigious and influential actors, so using social network analysis methods, this paper analyses the structural characteristics and dynamic evolution of venture capital (VC) networks in China and the USA from 2002 to 2017, with a focus on the node degree distribution, the network structure entropy, the centrality, the cliques, and the k-core. The findings from a panel dataset shows that, relative to the VC network in the USA, China's VC network entities are less integrated and less cooperative. Secondly, the degrees of venture capital firms in China and the USA obey the power law distribution, both with unbalanced distribution nodes and significant differences of the weights among different nodes. Based on the venture capital events this study measures the venture capital networks using important indicators and on the basis of this comparative analysis, optimisation strategies of investment networks against the risk are put forward to promote the development of Chinese agricultural science and technology enterprises. In a world grappling with the overuse of pesticides, China emerges as a key consumer and producer, facing substantial challenges in environmental and agricultural sustainability. This study investigates how agricultural services can foster eco-friendly pesticide use among farmers. It leverages data from the 'China Land Economic Survey' (2020-2021) by Nanjing Agricultural University, covering 52 villages and 2600 households. Using a multi-dimensional fixed effects model and propensity score matching, the research addresses biases inherent in the data. Results show that agricultural business services significantly boost green pesticide adoption, outperforming agricultural technology and input sectors. These services increase the use of safer pesticides and the recycling of their containers by 11.6% and 6%, respectively. Farmer satisfaction and regular internet use also play a role in reinforcing this trend. Based on these insights, it recommends enhancing support for low-toxicity pesticides and recycling programmes, creating tailored policies for diverse agricultural needs, and implementing resource management and incentive mechanisms to promote sustainable practices. Technology agglomeration effect is the economic effect produced by the spatial concentration of industry and economic activities, and it is one of the key factors to enhance the industrial value chain. In recent years, China's agricultural market has gradually opened up, speeding up the marketisation and commercialisation of agricultural products. However, due to the increasing competition in the Chinese agricultural market, the value chain of the agricultural product industry is facing many challenges. The challenges faced by the value chain of the agricultural product industry are of two types: upstream and downstream. The upstream is the scope to improve yield and scarcity of resources and the downstream includes food chain loss, consumption moving towards F & V and pulses and lack of transparency and traceability. Thus, on the basis of the connotation of the agricultural product industry's value chain and value flow, this article compares and analyses the development status of domestic and foreign industrial value chains, and finally proposes an upgrade path to increase the flow of Chinese agricultural industry's value chain.
