We study theN-extended super-Kac-Moody algebras, i.e. extensions of the Lie algebra of the loop group over the super-circleA N . The extensions are characterized by 2-cocycles which are computed in terms of the cyclic cohomology of the Grassmann algebra withN generators. The graded algebra of super-derivations compatible with each extension is determined. The casesN=1,2,3 are examined in detail and their relation with the Ademollo et al. superconformal algebras is discussed. We examine the possibility of defining new superconformal algebras which, forN>1, generalize theN=1 Ramond-Neveu-Schwarz algebra.

Three theroems are proved. With suitable hypotheses in each case, characterizations are found for the Virasoro algebra, for some of its representations, and for the Ramond-Neveu-Schwarz superalgebra built around the Virasoro algebra.

The mathematical background for a graded extension of gauge theories is investigated. After discussing the general properties of graded Lie algebras and what may serve as a model for a graded Lie group, the graded fiber bundle is constructed. Its basis manifold is supposed to be the so-called superspace, i.e. the product of the Minkowskian space-time with the Grassmann algebra spanned by the anticommuting Lorentz spinors; the vertical subspaces tangent to the fibers are isomorphic with the graded extension of the SU(N) Lie algebra. The connection and curvature are defined then on this bundle; the two different gradings are either independent of each other, or may be unified in one common grading, which is equivalent to the choice of the spin-statistics dependence. The Yang-Mills lagrangian is investigated in the simplified case. The conformal symmetry breaking is discussed, as well as some other physical consequences of the model.

An investigation of two-dimensional exactly and completely integrable dynamical systems associated with the local part of an arbitrary Lie algebra\(\mathfrak{g}\) whose grading is consistent with an arbitrary integral embedding of 3d-subalgebra in\(\mathfrak{g}\) has been carried out. We have constructed in an explicit form the corresponding systems of nonlinear partial differential equations of the second order and obtained their general solutions in the sense of a Goursat problem. A method for the construction of a wide class of infinite-dimensional Lie algebras of finite growth has been proposed.

Explicit representations of super-Kac-Moody algebra are constructed in terms of 2d-free fermions which form a non-linear representation of supersymmetry with the fermions grouped with the generators of the algebra into superfields. It is shown how the most general construction of this type corresponds to homogeneous spacesG/H and how supersymmetry alone is responsible for that structure.
