Abstract

In recent years, growth in population increases the number of vehicles on the road, which leads to congestion and accident on the roads. The congestion and accidents on road lead to huge losses socially and economically. On roads, minor accidents are resolved by passengers and the local people. However, major accidents, which increase every day, require the attention of authorities of the city. In this situation, an automatic accident detection system is required, which helps others to save the life of the injured. Hence, now-a-days it is very necessary to design and develop a system, which detects an accident, avoids further accidents, and informs ambulance and nearby hospital for a fast response to the injured. In this paper, we have used the fuzzy logic approach to detect accidents as well as the chance of occurrence of an accident.
