Electrical resistance tomography is used to reconstruct the image of the objects within the medium of interest based on electrical conductivity distribution. Besides, the ordinary technique of ERT applied the invasive technique and causing corrosion to the electrodes because of the contact between the electrode and the conductive liquid. Therefore, the ERT system proposed in this work is to investigate the optimize dimension of the electrode in ERT using an experimental approach for non-invasive measurement. In this project, four electrodes are used as transmitter and receiver. All the electrodes are arranged side by side around the pipe. In this process, only one electrode is used as a transmitter and the rest as a receiving sensor. When water is inserted in the pipe, the output of the voltage will be compressed and recorded. Nine different dimensions are investigated and it produces a different voltage output. Therefore, the appropriate electrode dimension must be determined as it also affects the conductivity of the conducting medium. In addition, the appropriate electrode dimension which is 35.34 mm (width) × 250 mm (height) was chosen as the optimize dimension from the experiment to improve the performance of the existing system.

Islamic spiritual mentoring is a process of giving assistance to individuals or group of people to live their lives in accordance to the fate destined by Allah SWT. This is to help them achieve sustainable happiness in life here and thereafter. The methods often used for this purpose are known as interpersonal communication skill and da’wah fardiyah. As known, Islam has put an emphasis on interpersonal communication skill and da’wah fardiyah as effective strategies in the execution of Islamic spiritual mentoring. Nonetheless, in Islamic spiritual mentoring context, implementation of interpersonal communication skill cannot stand alone without being accompanied by skill of da’wah fardiyah. This is because interpersonal communication only aims at interpersonal needs and differs with the objectives in da’wah fardiyah. On the other hand, da’wah fardiyah fulfills not only the relationship between human interaction but also the vertical relationship with Allah SWT. Thus, this conceptual paper gives an overview of similarities, differences, and benefits in using interpersonal communication skill and da’wah fardiyah in implementing Islamic spiritual mentoring. Understanding and comprehending both of these approaches could create a balanced and guided interpersonal communication skill in creating sustainable spiritual mentoring for ones’ better lives. This study was conducted using doctrinal and library researches.

Tomography is a method of reconstructing the image of an object’s interest within the sensing zone. Electrical Resistance Tomography (ERT) system operates when using current as an excitation source and output voltage is measured at the detection electrode and the research will result in the changes of electric potential distribution. A lot of researches have been made using ERT to identify a liquid-gas regime in the steel pipe focused on improving image resolution of the regime. However, a common excitation source of ERT used only a single excitation. Thus, this research uses COMSOL Multiphysics as a platform for simulation of multiple excitations of electrical resistance tomography for liquid-gas regime identification in steel pipe. The analysis and performance of new simulation which applies multiple excitation sources have been compared with the single excitation. Besides, the project is limited to 54 mm inner diameter of a steel pipe. As a conclusion, 50% of the excitation source can increase the image resolution of those regimes especially in the middle of the steel pipe.

In order to satisfy the rapid development in ICT, high educational institutes including members who are involved and interested in research’s field began to investigate and seek new tools, ways, and technologies to support their mission. On the other hand, cloud computing technology, as a new technology have emerged the education and learning scene lately and the cloud computing service providers (CSPs) are getting more interested in this field to offer their productions and services. Nevertheless, the association of cloud computing within high educational institutes is mostly directed to learning, teaching, and other student’s activities area of interest. In most developing countries, there are countable obstacles and problems in their high educational institutes, above-mentioned one before, such as shortness in funds and necessary IT infrastructure and resources which are required to establish, develop and maintain an ICT environment for their students, lecturers and researchers in such institutes. In this paper, we propose a Cloud Computing Framework model for Higher Education Institutes in Developing Countries (CCF_HEI_DC) of six layers which could be implemented and developed in any developing country besides a modified hybrid cloud model which is suggested to host and support the proposed cloud computing framework model.

Digital Social Media as a part of the eco-system in today’s global cyberspace business environment. It provides an excellent communication and marketing channel for knowledge societies in the world. The popularity of Digital Social Media has also influenced the personal lifestyle and encouraged the digital culture development among cyber community around the globe. Unfortunately, sharing their ideas, activities, statuses, and real-time location could cause them to several critical cybersecurity risks. These categories of risk caused severe impacts to the entire cyber community eco-system associated in digital social media that need to be managed and mitigated seriously. Recent empirical findings underlined the core information security requirement (confidentiality, integrity, and availability) contributes to the severity level of cybersecurity risks in digital social media. Therefore, the aim of this study is to determine the relationship between cybersecurity risks confidentiality, integrity, and availability in Digital Social Media. Questionnaires were distributed to the various active cyber communities and knowledge societies. In Malaysia, rail transportation has become an integral part of the society. It can be seen by the effort of the Malaysia Government to improve the rail system by laying new route, provide new type of trains and others. For transporting goods, Malaysian rail authorities (Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad) used 22 coaches so-called freight train becoming one of the most popular transportation in delivery goods. In the past, wood is commonly used as a material in sleeper’s manufacturing but nowadays, prestressed concrete sleeper starts to capture their name in the industry in producing more quality sleeper as one of railway track components. This study will be focusing on determination of constant amplitude for 22 coaches, cyclic counting strain and calculation of frequency of strain on prestressed sleeper subjected to freight train. Rainflow cyclic counting method is used to determine the constant amplitude, cycle and frequency for each parts of train body. By using rainflow method and formulas, average number of cycle and frequency is obtained. From the obtained results, the individual PCS have to endure a maximum frequency and number of cycles of 11.91 Hz and 1.39 s, respectively. The outcome of this study will have a formulation of the freight train that is currently being used in Malaysia.

Despite the increasing importance of halal food industry, there were increasing complaints from Muslim consumers regarding “haram” food products issues in Malaysia. Alarmingly, for Muslim customers, many have no clue that the food products in the market are not in accordance with Islamic halal rulings. It seems that Malaysian Muslims are uncertain of the food they are consuming, leading to hazardous consequences to future Muslim generations. Despite the impressive growth outlook for this Islamic food market segment, Muslim consumers are confronted with consumption dilemma when they became doubtful regarding their purchase and consumption of halal or toyyiban food products in the market even though they have the halal logo on the packaging issued by the government arm “Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia” (JAKIM). Hence, the main objective of this study is to propose a model for examining the main factors that influence halal consumption pattern. The research method will be mainly quantitative research design approach. The sampling technique will collect data from 500 Muslim consumers through random sampling of households. The data will be distributed using self-administered survey. The data collected will be analyzed using structural equation modeling method. The expected finding is a new halal consumption pattern model which will identify the significant factors that contribute to the halal consumption pattern so as to safeguard Muslim consumers from consuming non-halal derivatives.
