Chlorophyll-a (Chl- a ) is considered an indicator of phytoplankton biomass dynamically reflecting the growth of algae. Therefore, determination of Chl- a threshold is of vital importance to the health of aquatic ecosystems and drinking water security. This research is aimed to investigate the spatial and temporal distributions of Chl- a and microcystin (MC) concentrations using Geographic Information System (GIS) and identify the Chl- a threshold in Lake Taihu based on available guideline values of MCs. Nearly the same characteristics of spatiotemporal variation of Chl- a and MCs were observed in Lake Taihu. Overall, the lakewide distributions of Chl- a and MCs were highly variable over time and space. The Chl- a concentration in the winter and spring was relatively low, and gradually increasing in summer and autumn, with the maximum concentration observed in August. But the maximum MCs concentration appeared in October, two months lagging behind the Chl- a . The highest annual average Chl- a and MCs concentrations were observed in Zhushan Bay, Meiliang Bay, Gonghu Bay in northwest of Lake Taihu, following by West Zone and Center Zone. Dongtaihu Bay, East Zone and South Zone always present good water quality. Referring to the guideline value of MCs, the Chl- a threshold was determined as 10-15 mg·m -3 based on the linear regression correlation between Chl- a and MCs. The establishment of Chl- a threshold is useful for eutrophication control, water quality management and drinking water utilities in developing water safety plans.

The nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) family is crucial for regulating immune and inflammatory responses. The activation of the immune cell signaling pathway usually activates NF-κB, causing a protective immune response. NF-κB can also cause excessive inflammatory responses by activating a cascade reaction of pro-inflammatory mediators such as cytokines. In this study, we used an NF-κB luciferase reporter gene system. Out of more than 800 compounds screened, four NF-κB agonists were identified with strong activity at nontoxic concentrations. Subsequently, the adjuvant effect was verified on mouse bone marrow-derived dendritic cells (BMDCs) and macrophages RAW264.7. It was found that fostamatinib (R788) disodium increased the production of IL-6, IL-12p40, and TNF-α, indicating that R788 disodium could induce the maturation of antigen-presenting cells (APCs). In addition, three compounds were screened to significantly inhibit NF-κB at nontoxic doses, including dehydrocostus lactone (DHL)-a known NF-κB inhibitor. The results showed that DHL significantly reduced the release of LPS-induced inflammatory cytokines (including TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-12). Our findings indicate that the NF-κB-based high-throughput screening can be used to discover potential immune adjuvants and anti-inflammatory molecules.

Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) is an acute idiopathic polyneuropathy which is related to infection and immune mechanism. The exact pathogenesis of the disease is unknown and treatment is limited. Thus, the purpose of the study is to identify biomarkers of GBS serum and elucidate their involvement in the underlying pathogenesis of GBS that could help to treat GBS more accurately. Antibody array technology was used to detect the expression levels of 440 proteins in serum of 5 GBS group and 5 healthy control group. Sixty-seven differentially expressed proteins (DEPs) were identified by antibody array, among which FoLR1, Legumain, ErbB4, IL-1α, MIP-1α and IGF-2 were down-regulated, while 61 proteins were up-regulated. Bioinformatics analysis indicated that most DEPs were associated with leukocytes, among which IL-1α, SDF-1b, B7-1, CD40, CTLA4, IL-9, MIP-1α and CD40L were in the center of protein–protein interaction (PPI) network. Subsequently, the ability of these DEPs to distinguish GBS from healthy control was further evaluated. CD23 was identified by means of Random Forests Analysis (RFA) and verified by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The ROC curve result of CD23 respectively displayed that its sensitivity, specificity and AUC were 0.818, 0.800 and 0.824. We speculate that activation of leukocyte proliferation and migration in circulating blood might be associated with inflammatory recruitment of peripheral nerves, leading to the occurrence and development of GBS, but this conclusion still requires deeper confirmation. More importantly, central proteins may play a pivotal role in the pathogenesis of GBS. In addition, we detected IL-1α, IL-9, and CD23 in the serum of GBS patients for the first time, which may be promising biomarkers for the treatment of GBS.

Background Rhizosphere soil physicochemical, endophytic fungi have an important role in plant growth. A large number of endophytic fungi play an indispensable role in promoting plant growth and development, and they can provide protection for host plants by producing a variety of secondary metabolites to resist and inhibit plant pathogens. Due to the terrain of Gansu province is north–south and longitudinal, different climatic conditions, altitude, terrain and growth environment will affect the growth of Codonopsis pilosula, and the changes in these environmental factors directly affect the quality and yield of C. pilosula in different production areas. However, In C. pilosula, the connection between soil nutrients, spatiotemporal variation and the community structure of endophytic fungi isolated from C. pilosula roots has not been well studied. Results Seven hundred six strains of endophytic fungi were obtained using tissue isolation and the hyphaend-purification method from C. pilosula roots that picked at all seasons and six districts (Huichuan, HC; Longxi, LX; Zhangxian, ZX; Minxian, MX; Weiyuan, WY; and Lintao, LT) in Gansu Province, China. Fusarium sp. (205 strains, 29.04%), Aspergillus sp. (196 strains, 27.76%), Alternaria sp. (73 strains, 10.34%), Penicillium sp. (58 strains, 8.22%) and Plectosphaerella sp. (56 strains, 7.93%) were the dominant genus. Network pharmacology, a holistic approach based on the theory of biological network technology, integrates information from biological systems, drugs, and diseases. Here, this theory was used to predict the targets of Wu-Wei-Wen-Tong Chubi capsule (WWWT) to explore the mechanism in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The ingredients of each herbal medicine in WWWT were collected from the Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform (TCMSP), and the active ingredients were screened through bioavailability (OB) ≥30% and drug-likeness (DL) ≥ 0.18. SwissTargetPrection and TCMSP were utilized to calculate and predict the targets of active ingredients. RA-related targets were obtained by searching the Genecards and OMIM databases. The common targets of RA and WWWT were used for gene ontology (GO), KEGG pathway enrichment, protein-protein interaction (PPI) analysis, and molecular docking. And then, four key genes were screened for subsequent verification experiments. In total, 90 active compounds and 330 potential targets of WWWT, 1310 targets of RA, and 135 intersection targets were found. Additionally, GO and pathway analysis identified 4610 significant GO terms and 147 significant KEGG pathways. Based on the PPI network, 11 key genes including IL-6, MMP-9, and TNF-α were screened out for molecular docking. Molecular docking showed that these key genes have good binding activities to active compounds of WWWT such as oroxylin a, kaempferol, and luteolin. Simultaneously, Western blot experimental validation demonstrated that the protein expressions of IL-6, MMP-9, TNF-α, and VEGFA significantly decreased after WWWT treatment. The mechanism of WWWT in treating RA involves multiple active compounds acting on multiple targets, and multiple pathways, which provides an important reference for further elucidation the mechanism and clinical applications of WWWT in the treatment of RA.

Carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CRKP), as one of the most common drug-resistant bacteria threatening human health, is hyper-resistant to multiple antimicrobial drugs and carbapenems, which can be dealt with only limited clinical treatment options. This study described the epidemiological characteristics of CRKP in this tertiary care hospital from 2016 to 2020. Specimen sources included blood, sputum, alveolar lavage fluid, puncture fluid, secretions from a burn wound, and urine. Among the 87 carbapenem-resistant strains, ST11 was the predominant isolate, followed by ST15, ST273, ST340, and ST626. These STs were in broad agreement with the STs defined by pulsed-field gel electrophoresis clustering analysis in discriminating clusters of related strains. Most CRKP isolates contained the blaKPC-2 gene, some isolates carried the blaOXA-1, blaNDM-1, and blaNDM-5 genes, and the isolates carrying carbapenem resistance genes were more resistant to the antimicrobials of β-lactams, carbapenems, macrolides, and fluoroquinolone. The OmpK35 and OmpK37 genes were detected in all CRKP strains, and the Ompk36 gene was detected in some CRKP strains. All detected OmpK37 had 4 mutant sites, and OmpK36 had 11 mutant sites, while no mutant sites were found in OmpK35. More than half of the CRKP strains contained the OqxA and OqxB efflux pump genes. The virulence genes were most commonly combined with urea-wabG-fimH-entB-ybtS-uge-ycf. Only one CRKP isolate was detected with the K54 podoconjugate serotype. This study elucidated the clinical epidemiological features and molecular typing of CRKP, and grasped the distribution of drug-resistant genotypes, podocyte serotypes, and virulence genes of CRKP, providing some guidance for the subsequent treatment of CRKP infection.

Cinnamomun bodinieri's normal growth and development are hampered by alkali stress, impeding its production and application of Cinnamomum bodinieri. The root organs being in direct contact with the cultivation environment, are sensitive to environmental stress. The present study revealed the differentially expressed genes and differentially metabolized products of Cinnamomum bodinieri root under alkali stress employing transcriptome and metabonomic analysis. The findings revealed that 690 differentially expressed genes and 269 metabolites were significantly different among HT6 and HCK6. Similarly, 1000 differentially expressed genes and 360 metabolites with significant differences were identified in HT48.vs.HCK48 combination. The combined analysis of transcriptome and metabolome identified 9 metabolic pathways at 6h and 48h after alkali treatment, including the biosynthesis pathway of tropane, piperidine and pyridine alkaloids, pyrimidine metabolic pathway, phenylalanine metabolic pathway, isoquinoline alkaloid biosynthesis pathway, glycolysis/gluconeogenesis pathway, flavonoid biosynthesis pathway, fatty acid biosynthesis pathway, carbon fixation pathway in photosynthetic organisms, the metabolic pathway of amino sugar and nucleotide sugar. Therefore, the strategy of Cinnamomum bodinieri to cope with alkali stress may be to increase osmotic regulation and antioxidant activity by accumulating alkaloids, flavonoids secondary metabolites, and N-acetyl-L-phenylalanine, ensure the stability of cell structure and function through the accumulation of lauric acid and palmitic acid, provide energy for plants to withstand alkali stress by accelerating the glycolysis process, and improve plants' resistance to biological and abiotic stress by inducing the activity of chitinase, The accumulation of oxaloacetic acid and other organic acids alleviates alkali stress environment. This study provides support for the analysis of the pathways and regulatory networks of Cinnamomum bodinieri in response to alkali stress.

Background Compared to other healthcare workers, nurses are more vulnerable to the potentially devastating effects of pandemic-related stressors. Studies have not yet investigated the deeper characteristics of the relationship between team resilience and team performance among nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aimed to elucidate the characteristics of team resilience and performance networks among nurses during the pandemic. Methods A cross-sectional study involving 118 nursing teams comprising 1627 practice nurses from four tertiary-A and secondary-A hospitals in Shandong Province, China, was conducted. Analyzing and Developing Adaptability and Performance in Teams to Enhance Resilience Scale and the Team Effectiveness Scale were used to measure team resilience and performance, respectively. The estimation of the network model and calculation of related metrics, network stability and accuracy, and network comparison tests were performed using R 4.0.2. Results Node monitoring had the highest centralities in the team resilience and performance network model, followed by node anticipation, cooperation satisfaction, and cooperation with other departments. Moreover, node cooperation satisfaction and learning had the highest levels of bridge centrality in the entire network. Conclusion Monitoring, anticipation, cooperation satisfaction, cooperation with other departments, and learning constituted core variables maintaining the team resilience-performance network structure of nurses during the pandemic. Clinical interventions targeting core variables may be effective in maintaining or promoting both team resilience and performance in this population.

Abstract Doxorubicin (DOX) is a commonly used antitumor drug, but its application has been limited because of its strong cardiac damage. This study aims to explore the role of NSUN2 in DOX-induced heart injury. C57BL/6J mice were intraperitoneally injected with 20 mg/Kg DOX to induce heart injury. After 3 days, the cardiac function, cardiac histopathology, myocardial apoptosis, and the expression level of NSUN2 were detected. In vitro, H9C2 cells were transfected with NSUN2 siRNA or overexpressed lentivirus and then treated with 500 ng/ml DOX. After 24 h, the changes in reactive oxygen species (ROS), apoptosis, and NSUN2 expression were detected. After DOX treatment, both in vitro and in vivo experiments showed that the cardiac function decreased, the number of apoptotic cells increased, and the expression level of NSUN2 increased. Interfering the expression of NSUN2 by siRNA promoted DOX-induced heart injury, while overexpression of NSUN2 could inhibit DOX-induced heart injury. Further study showed that NSUN2 promoted antioxidative stress by upregulating the Nrf2 protein level. In addition, NSUN2 overexpression could increase the half-life of Nrf2 mRNA. m5C RNA methylation immunoprecipitation (MeRIP) also showed that the level of Nrf2 m5C mRNA was significantly increased in NSUN2 overexpressed group when compared to the GFP group. NSUN2 enhances the expression of Nrf2 by promoting Nrf2 mRNA m5C modification and enhances its antioxidative stress effect to alleviate DOX-induced myocardial injury.

Tetracycline (TET) is a broad-spectrum antibiotic commonly used in the treatment of animals. TET residues in food inevitably threaten human health. High-performance analytical techniques for TET detection are required in food quality assessment. The objective of this study was to establish a label-free fluorescent biosensor for TET detection using specific aptamer-templated silver nanoclusters (AgNCs). An aptamer with a high specific binding ability to TET was used to synthesize a novel DNA-templated AgNCs (DNA-AgNCs). When TET is present, the aptamer’s conformation switched from an antiparallel G-quadruplex to a hairpin structure, altering the connection between AgNCs and the aptamer. Following the transformation of AgNCs into large sized silver nanoparticles (AgNPs), a fluorescence decrease was detected. When used to detect TET in milk, the proposed biosensor displayed high sensitivity and selectivity, with a limit of detection of 11.46 ng/mL, a linear range of 20 ng/mL−10 g/mL, and good recoveries of 97.7–114.6% under optimized conditions. These results demonstrate that the proposed biosensor was successfully used to determine TET quantitatively in food samples, suggesting that our method provides an efficient and novel reference for detecting antibiotics in food while expanding the application of DNA-AgNCs in related fields.

Background Classical swine fever and porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome have seriously affected the development of the swine breeding industry in China. Vaccine immunization remains the main way to prevent these infections. The aim of this study was to establish an optimized protocol for vaccine immunization against classical swine fever virus (CSFV) and porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV). Methods Blood samples were collected from the anterior vena cava of pigs after immunization, and blood indices, secreted levels of specific antibodies and neutralizing antibodies associated with humoral immunity, the proliferation capacity of T lymphocytes as a measure of cellular immunity, and secreted levels of IFN-γ and TNF-α were determined. Results The results showed that simultaneous immunization against CSFV and PRRSV infections induced strong and specific humoral and T-cellular immune responses, high levels of cytokine IFN-γ secretion and delayed secretion of cytokine TNF-α. Moreover, significantly higher lymphocyte percentages and red blood cell and leukocyte counts were found in the group simultaneously immunized against CSFV and PRRSV. However, no statistically significant differences were observed in hemoglobin values, neutrophil counts, and median cell percentages among the S + PRRS, PRRS-S, and S-PRRS groups. Conclusion This study demonstrated that simultaneous immunization against CSFV and PRRSV had the advantages of inducing a rapid, enhanced, and long-lasting immune response. These findings provide a theoretical basis for the establishment of a reasonable and optimized vaccine immunization protocol against CSFV and PRRSV in combination with a variety of other vaccine inoculations.

Purpose To evaluate the effects of the association between first trimester vitamin D (VitD) concentrations and increased prepregnancy body mass index (BMI) on early fetal growth restriction (FGR). Methods This retrospective cohort study included 15,651 women with singleton pregnancy who delivered at the International Peace Maternity and Child Health Hospital between January 2015 and November 2016. Women were classified in two groups based on their serum 25(OH)D vitamin levels status: VitD sufficient (SUFF) group and VitD insufficient or deficient (INSUFF/DEF). The cut-off point for VitD concentration was 50.00 nmol/L. Comparisons were made between women with normal prepregnancy body weight (BMI 18.5–23.9 kg/m2) and overweight and obese (OWO) women (BMI > 24.0 kg/m2). Early FGR was defined as first-trimester gestational age-adjusted crown-rump length (CRL) in the lowest 20th centile of the population. Multivariate logistic regression was used to evaluate the association between maternal serum 25(OH)D levels and prepregnancy BMI with first trimester CRL and early FGR. Results In VitD INSUFF/DEF group, the first trimester CRL was decreased (P = 0.005), and the risk of early FGR was increased by 13% (95% CI 1.04–1.24, P = 0.004) compared to the VitD SUFF group. In OWO group, the first trimester CRL was also significantly decreased (P P P for interaction = 0.02) and the risk of early FGR (P for interaction = 0.07). Conclusion Sufficient first trimester serum 25(OH)D concentration was a protective factor for early fetal growth, especially among OWO mothers. The lacking of estrogen, progesterone and ERBB2 receptor makes the therapy of Triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) is particularly challenging. Accumulating evidences has demonstrated the dysfunction and critical roles of microRNAs (miRNAs) in TNBC. Explore the role of miR-506-3p in TNBC and evaluate the clinical significance of miR-506-3p. miR-506-3p expression was significantly decreased in TNBC and correlated with the worst status of TNBC patients. miR-506-3p overexpression repressed the proliferation, migration and induced cell cycle arrest as well as apoptosis of TNBC cells. Mechanistically, SNAI2 was identified as a target of miR-506-3p in TNBC cells. Consistently, SNAI2 was overexpressed in TNBC and inversely correlated with miR-506-3p level. Transfection of SNAI2 abolished the inhibitory role of miR-506-3p in regulating the malignant phenotypes of TNBC cells. These results demonstrated the suppressive function of miR-506-3p in TNBC via targeting SNAI2, indicating the possible application of miR-506-3p in TNBC treatment.

Leucoanthocyanidin reductase (LAR) is the critical enzyme in the synthesis pathway of proanthocyanidins, which are the primary pigments in brown cotton fibers. Our previous study has revealed significant differences in the expression levels of GhLAR1 between white and brown cotton fibers at 10 DPA. In this work, the expression pattern of the GhLAR1 gene was further studied, and the promoter of GhLAR1 (1780 bp) was isolated and characterized. Bioinformatic analysis indicated that GhLAR1 promoter contained many known light response elements and several defenses related to transcriptional factor-binding boxes, which may partially explain the response of the GhLAR1 to temperature, NaCl, and PEG treatments. Furthermore, GhLAR1 was preferentially and strongly expressed in fibers and flowers of cotton, and the expression levels in all tested tissues (especially fibers) of brown cotton were significantly higher than those in white cotton. Consistent with the expression analysis, the GhLAR1 promoter mainly drove GUS expression in epidermal trichomes and floral organs.

Background Droplet digital PCR (ddPCR) has emerged as a promising tool of pathogen detection in bloodstream infections (BSIs) in critical care medicine. However, different ddPCR platforms have variable sensitivity and specificity for diverse microorganisms at various infection sites. There is still a lack of prospective clinical studies aimed at validating and interpreting the discrepant ddPCR results for diagnosing BSI in intensive care unit (ICU) practice. Methods A prospective diagnostic study of multiplex ddPCR panels was conducted in a general ICU from May 21, 2021, to December 22, 2021. Paired blood cultures (BCs) and ddPCRs (2.5 h) were obtained synchronously to detect the 12 most common BSI pathogens and three antimicrobial resistance (AMR) genes. Firstly, ddPCR performance was compared to definite BSI. Secondly, clinical validation of ddPCR was compared to composite clinical diagnosis. Sensitivity, specificity, and positive and negative predictive values were calculated. Thirdly, the positive rate of AMR genes and related analysis was presented. Results A total of 438 episodes of suspected BSIs occurring in 150 critical patients were enrolled. BC and ddPCR were positive for targeted bacteria in 40 (9.1%) and 180 (41.1%) cases, respectively. There were 280 concordant and 158 discordant. In comparison with BCs, the sensitivity of ddPCR ranged from 58.8 to 86.7% with an aggregate of 72.5% in different species, with corresponding specificity ranging from 73.5 to 92.2% with an aggregate of 63.1%. Furthermore, the rate of ddPCR+/BC− results was 33.6% (147/438) with 87.1% (128 of 147) cases was associated with probable (n = 108) or possible (n = 20) BSIs. When clinically diagnosed BSI was used as true positive, the final sensitivity and specificity of ddPCR increased to 84.9% and 92.5%, respectively. In addition, 40 blaKPC, 3blaNDM, and 38 mecA genes were detected, among which 90.5% were definitely positive for blaKPC. Further, 65.8% specimens were predicted to be mecA-positive in Staphylococcus sp. according to all microbiological analysis. Conclusions The multiplexed ddPCR is a flexible and universal platform, which can be used as an add-on complementary to conventional BC. When combined with clinical infection evidence, ddPCR shows potential advantages for rapidly diagnosing suspected BSIs and AMR genes in ICU practice.

The study was conducted to elaborate on the impact of two main components of natural disasters (Population affected and damages) on FDI, industrial growth, and export performance of the South Asian region alongside the Belt and road initiative over 1990–2016. We have conducted cross-sectional dependence (CDP) and slope homogeneity analysis of the data; after finding that the slopes are heterogeneous and CDP found, we have employed second-generation cointegration, Westerlund, the empirical results supported there is a cointegration relationship between the variables. The empirical results obtained from the Augmented mean group long run estimator concluded that the impact of severe natural disasters on FDI is negative; we have found a partially positive effect on exports and a significantly positive relationship with industrial growth for the study area. The role of income and trade openness acts as substantial and positive determinants towards FDI, exports, and the industrial growth for the South Asian countries. However, interestingly, the empirics found the impression of energy consumption partially influential for all the models. In addition, inflation poses a negative role in the dependent variable for the study area. Finally, the policies are discussed for the negative responses of natural disasters and the positive responses that have been reached in the current study.

High-energy shot peening (HESP) can introduce not only compressive residual stresses but also nanocrystalline layer close to the surface. Surface nanocrystallization leads to great improvement of surface hardness and fatigue property of treated metallic components. In this paper, a finite element method (FEM) was proposed to investigate the effects of HESP parameters, including surface coverage, shot diameter and shot velocity, on the grain refinement phenomenon. The quantitative relationship between the grain size and the equivalent plastic strain (PEEQ) was obtained by comparing the data from FEM simulation and x-ray diffraction in experiments. The surface topography and the depth profiles of microhardness and full width at half maximum were analyzed with the aim of assessing and verifying the surface integrity and nanostructure formation after HESP treatment. The results showed that appropriate increment of surface coverage, shot diameter and shot velocity was beneficial to grain refinement and nanostructure formation on a treated surface after HESP treatment. Through reasonable process control of HESP, microcracks did not appear on a treated surface even when the shot peening surface coverage reached up to 1000%.

Here, we reported a cancer nanovaccine based on SiO2 nanoflowers with a special radial pore structure, which greatly enhanced cross-presentation and induced the production of cytotoxic T lymphocyte cells secreting granzymes B and interferon-γ. The antigen ovalbumin was covalently conjugated onto the as-synthesized hierarchical SiO2 nanoflowers, and the adjuvant cytosine-phosphate-guanine was electrostatically adsorbed into their radial pore by simple mixing before use. The nanovaccine exhibited excellent storage stability without antigen release after 27 days of incubation, negligible cytotoxicity to dendritic cells, and a high antigen loading capacity of 430 ± 66 mg·g−1 support. Besides, the nanovaccine could be internalized by dendritic cells via multiple pathways. And the enhancement of antigen/adjuvant uptake and lysosome escape of antigen were observed. Noteworthy, in vitro culture of bone marrow-derived dendritic cells in the presence of nanovaccine proved the activation of dendritic cells and antigen cross-presentation as well as secretion of proinflammatory cytokines. Besides, in vivo study verified the targeting of nanovaccine to draining lymph nodes, the complete suppression of tumor in six out of ten mice, and the triggering of notable tumor growth delay. Overall, the present results indicated that the nanovaccine can be served as a potential therapeutic vaccine to treat cancer.

The triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) is a new mechanical energy harvesting technology in which the typical viscoelastic material polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) is widely used. Micro-/nano-textures are often fabricated on the PDMS surface to enhance the electrical performance of TENG. As the contact region decreases to micro/nano scale, the adhesive forces become dominant. However, there is still a lack of contact mechanics model considering both material viscoelasticity and the adhesive forces to guide the surface texture design. In this paper, the explicit data-fitting formulas based on the fractional derivative Zener model are firstly derived to identify the viscoelastic constitutive parameters, which can not only avoid the influence of the initial contact point, but also ensure the accurate conversion between the creep compliance and the relaxation modulus function. Then a viscoelastic-adhesive contact model based on the fitted constitutive parameters is established, and the numerical algorithms such as bi-conjugate stabilized (Bi-CGSTAB) method and fast Fourier transform (FFT) technique are employed to analyze the effects of material viscoelasticity and texture sizes on the contact and electrical performance. It is shown that, compared with results from the elastic-adhesive contact model, the contact area ratio based on the viscoelastic-adhesive contact model is significantly larger, which is much closer to the experimental results. Among the selected sizes of pyramid texture, the higher electrical performance can be obtained from the textures with a smaller pitch and a larger width under the heavier applied load. This study can provide a theoretical reference for the design of viscoelastic surface texture of TENG.
