Background C1q/TNF-related protein 9 (CTRP9) and adiponectin (APN) have beneficial metabolic regulatory and vasoprotective effects. This study explored alteration of CTRP9 and APN multimers during onset of ischemic stroke and development, to provide novel clinical and experimental basis for recognition and prevention of ischemic stroke. Methods There were 269 patients with ischemic stroke and 182 control subjects included in this study. Serum levels of CTRP9 and APN multimers in different disease stages were measured. Results Serum CTRP9, total APN (tAPN), and high-molecular weight (HMW) APN decreased gradually in stage I (acute stage, within 72 h of onset) of ischemic stroke and increased during stage III (11th day to one month) and stage IV (1 month after), compared to control. In the non-hyperlipidemia group, serum CTRP9, tAPN, and HMW were decreased in ischemic stroke patients compared to control (P r = 0.992, 0.991). Serum CTRP9 are protective against ischemic stroke (OR = 0.400, 95% CI 0.197–0.810, P Conclusions Lower serum CTRP9, tAPN, LMW, and HMW are significantly associated with increased ischemic stroke risk in non-hyperlipidemia subjects. CTRP9, tAPN, and HMW isoforms may be valuable clinical indicators for patients with ischemic stroke.

In this paper, a dual-ligand design strategy is demonstrated to modulate the performance of the electronically conductive metalorganic frameworks (EC-MOFs) thin film with a spray layer-by-layer assembly method. The thin film not only can be precisely prepared in nanometer scale (20–70 nm), but also shows the pin-hole-free smooth surface. The high quality nano-film of 2,3,6,7,10,11-hexaiminotriphenylene (HITP) doped Cu-HHTP enables the precise modulation of the chemiresistive sensitivity and selectivity. Selectivity improvement over 220% were realized for benzene vs. NH3, as well as enhanced response and recovery properties. In addition, the selectivity of the EC-MOF thin film sensors toward other gases (e.g. triethylamine, methane, ethylbenzene, hydrogen, butanone, and acetone) vs. NH3 at room temperature is also discussed.

La0.8Sr0.2Mn1−xCoxO3 (x = 0, 0.2) polycrystalline samples were prepared by solid-state reaction, and their structural, Griffiths phase, magnetic entropy change, critical behavior, and electrical transport properties were systematically investigated. The results show that all polycrystalline samples are rhombohedral symmetry structures; the Griffiths phase exists above the low-temperature magnetic transition temperature (TC2) of the two samples; the magnetic field is applied to the La0.8Sr0.2Mn1−xCoxO3 (x = 0, 0.2) samples. The maximum magnetic entropy change ΔSmax for 7 T is − 2.28 and − 2.36 J/(kg K), respectively. The doping of Co makes ΔSmax increase, and an obvious negative entropy change occurs at low temperature and low field; the critical behavior of La0.8Sr0.2MnO3 (LSMO) fits best with the mean field model, and the critical behavior of the sample after doping with the 3D Heisenberg model fits best; LSMO is a semiconductor material, and the metal insulator transition appears near the low-temperature magnetic transition temperature (TC2) when the Co element doping amount reaches 0.2. The conductivity of the two samples in the high-temperature region satisfies the small polaron model.

The mechanical properties of resin-bonded sand mixtures at high temperatures significantly affect the quality of casting. However, the existing instruments for high-temperature performances testing mainly focus on inorganic binder-bonded sands no matter the test items or the atmospheric protection, while the instrumentss specially designed for resin-bonded sand are not yet available. A new instrument for testing the high-temperature performance of resin sand was designed including the confirmation of the testing parameters, loading, measurement and control systems, and the design of the frame shape and heating furnace. This instrument can test the compressive strength, heat tolerance time and restraining load of phenol-formaldehyde resin coated sand, self-hardened furan resin sand, and trimethylamine (TEA)-based resin bonded sand at high temperatures. The developed instrument has a high accuracy offering smaller than 0.3% deviation at a full scale in the measurement of the high temperature compressive strength and the restraining load over the range of 0–6.8 MPa and 0–2,000 N, respectively. The high temperature heat tolerance time range is 0–300 s and its measurement accuracy is ±1 s.
