This paper aims to explore the contributions of research that include gender perspective in analysing the sexual experiences of women diagnosed with serious mental illness and to identify any barriers and systems that impede sexual fulfilment. We have developed a qualitative literature review using the PRISMA statement. The databases SCOPUS, WOS and PsychINFO were used in this review. Studies were included if they were published up to March 15, 2022, and only studies in English were included. An initial database search was preformed; upon screening for eligibility, there remained 16 studies that explored the sexual experiences of women with diagnoses of serious mental illness. The studies were analysed by a thematic synthesis. Data was coded line-by-line which generated descriptive themes, resulting in four synthesised findings. The four synthesised findings that derived from the reviewed studies were stigma and subjectivity, the experience of interpersonal relationships, the socialisation of women and the effects of psychiatric hegemony. A feminist perspective highlights the interrelationship between gender and stigma as it relates to serious mental illness and sexuality. A feminist perspective and an intersectional approach should be adopted at the intersubjective and structural level to account for the complexity of human experience and to subvert the heteropatriarchal system.

Measurements of atmospheric turbulence at a site in Ferryland (Newfoundland) during the C-FOG (Coastal-Fog) field campaign in September–October 2018 are used to study meteorological parameters, turbulence statistics, internal boundary layers, and scaling laws for turbulent mixing in the coastal zone. We observe stable/unstable shallow internal boundary layers with a region of unstable/stable stratification above with onshore flow from a relatively warm/cold sea onto the cold/heated land during the night/day. This study compares surface fluxes and other turbulence statistics as well as different scaling laws with and without fog. While both complexity of the coastal landforms and foggy conditions nominally violate assumptions underlying Monin–Obukhov similarity theory (MOST), our observations show that the non-dimensional standard deviations of the velocity components and the dissipation rate of turbulence kinetic energy obey MOST reasonably well for all measurement levels, stability conditions, and wind directions for both fog and no fog cases. However, the data scatter for the normalized dissipation rate is somewhat greater compared with the normalized standard deviations of the wind components. The bias and relatively larger scatter of normalized standard deviations for scalars in near-neutral conditions is likely associated with the underlying inhomogeneous coastal surface. According to the C-FOG data, during a fog event the moisture flux data become irregular and the latent heat flux is often negative (downward). Our observations also demonstrate poor agreement between normalized standard deviations of specific humidity with MOST for foggy conditions; its statistical dependence on the MOST stability parameter is weak at best in fog.

An interesting mixing-fog event was identified during the C-FOG field campaign, where a cold-frontal airmass arriving from the north-east collided with The Downs peninsula in Ferryland, Newfoundland, Canada, to produce misty/foggy conditions. A comprehensive set of field observations suggests that this collision caused turbulent mixing of nearly saturated ambient air with an almost saturated cold-frontal airmass, creating conditions for mixing fog. To delve into the physical processes underlying this phenomenon, laboratory experiments were performed on the interaction of lock-exchange-induced gravity currents with a rectangular obstacle. Instantaneous velocity and density fields were obtained using particle image velocimetry and planar laser-induced fluorescence. The observations suggest that the obstacle starts affecting the approaching gravity-current propagation at an upstream distance of 2H and, upon collision, the mixing occurs over a length of 0.83H, where H is the depth of the ambient fluid layer. The time for larger-scale turbulent stirring to permeate to the smallest scales of turbulence and activate the condensation nuclei is estimated as $$3t^*$$ , where $$t^*=\sqrt{H/g'}$$ is the intrinsic time scale of the gravity current, and $$g'$$ is the reduced gravity. Extrapolation of laboratory results to field conditions shows a good agreement with observations.

ETVS fuel assemblies containing nitride fuel rods with different structural implementation and cladding made of different materials are tested in the cores of the BN-600 and BOR-60 reactors in order to substantiate the efficiency of fuel rods with mixed uranium-plutonium nitride fuel used in sodium-cooled (BN-1200) and lead-cooled (BREST-OD-300) reactors. We report here the results of post-reactor studies of BN-600, -800, -1200 and BREST type fuel elements with a helium sublayer after irradiation to maximum burnup 7.5, 6, and 4.5% h.a., respectively, in the composition of 10 ETVS BN-600 fuel assemblies as well BREST type fuel rods with helium and lead sublayer after tests to maximum burnup 5 and 4% h.a. as fuel elements of the BREST type with a helium and lead sublayer after testing to maximum burnup 5 and 4% h.a. in the composition of two ETVS BOR-60 fuel assemblies. The obtained results confirmed that the nitride fuel rods with gas and lead sublayers and EP-823 steel cladding remain efficient at the attained test parameters and, possibly, at higher fuel burnup.

Experimental fuel rods with mixed uranium-plutonium nitride fuel are being tested in the BOR-60 reactor as part of collapsible irradiation devices, which are prototypes of fuel rods of the BREST-OD-300 reactor being designed. Currently, reactor tests of fuel rods with a helium sublayer as part of OU-2, as well as lead alloyed with components of EP823-Sh steel as part of OU-4, are continuing. In 2018, one fuel rod was removed from OU-2 and one OU-4 after the first stage of reactor tests with the rods replaced by others from those previously irradiated and post-reactor studies were performed. Information on the features of the radiation swelling of the uranium-plutonium nitride fuel of these fuel rods is presented.

Radical polymerization of unsaturated alkoxy-NNO-azoxy compounds was explored. Polymethoxy-NNO-azoxyethene, the first energetic polymer based on alkoxy-NNO-azoxy compounds, was obtained, and its major characteristics were studied. Thermodynamic calculations show that poly(methoxy-NNO-azoxyethene) may be of interest as a polymer component of active binders for solid composite rocket propellants.

The results of an investigation of fission gas release from mixed nitride fuel after irradiation to maximum burnup 7.5% h. a. in 10 experimental FA in BN-600 are reported. It is shown that gas release commences at burnup >2% h.a. and increases with increasing burnup. The burnup dependence of gas release for mixed and uranium nitride fuel coincide quite well. The fission gas beneath the fuel-rod cladding consists of three basic components: xenon, helium, and krypton. The content of the remaining gases (N2, Ar, O2, CO2) does not exceed tenths of a percent. Xenon has the highest specific release, followed by helium and krypton. Helium has the highest relative release (>40%). Xenon and krypton have almost identical release not exceeding 20% for most of the investigated fuel rods. A higher release of fission gas is associated with either an increase of the fuel temperature (>1500°C) or features of fuel microstructure.

This article presents the results of the investigation of the properties of phenol-formaldehyde resin, obtained using the phenol-replacing fraction. A two-step method was developed for phenol-replacing fraction separation from liquid pyrolysis products with a yield up to 15%, and this fraction was used in the phenol-formaldehyde resin synthesis. Then, a work was conducted for the removal of neutrals from the modified phenol-formaldehyde resin with organic solvents, n-hexane and benzene. As a result, benzene was defined as a more efficient solvent because it removed more aromatics, like ethers and substituted phenols, that cannot react and worsen the glue line water resistance. Benzene dissolved 3.2% weight of the resin, and n-hexane dissolved 2.5% weight. The removal of neutrals increased the water resistance coefficient by more than 60%, so neutrals have a considerable effect on the resin properties. The results can be used for production of resin from renewable feedstock with the similar properties with the traditional resin.

The automated system ASCRO developed and adopted in the nuclear industry for monitoring radiation conditions and on-site monitoring of subsoil status is continually improving, and the Rosatom State Corporation is continually expanding the sphere of activity of these systems. In the present article, the experience gained in the implementation of on-site monitoring of subsoil status in 2017 and the principles of its integration into the complex environmental monitoring system are expounded. Data on the development and integration of information-geoenvironmental packets of nuclear industry enterprises into the complex environmental monitoring system are presented.

This article presents a method for fractionating and separating phenolic compounds from liquid pyrolysis products of lignocellulosic biomass by a three-stage method, in which up to 30% of phenolic compounds can be extracted. The composition of the phenol-substituting fraction was analyzed by the gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GCMS) method. The isolated phenolic compounds were used in the synthesis of phenol–formaldehyde resins as a phenol-substituting fraction, with the replacement of 40% of the synthetic phenol in the recipe. Various molar ratios of phenol/formaldehyde and phenol/sodium hydroxide in the resin synthesis recipe were considered, as well as their influence on the strength of the adhesive joint and the proportion of free formaldehyde in the finished modified resin. The results of the studies showed that the optimal molar ratio of phenol/formaldehyde is 1:1.98, with a tensile strength of 1.63 MPa and a free formaldehyde fraction of 0.10% in the resin. The phenol/sodium hydroxide molar ratios considered in this paper did not show an optimal molar ratio, but a tendency to reduce the free formaldehyde content in the resin with a decrease in the introduction of an alkaline catalyst into the resin recipe was revealed, while the strength of the adhesive joint remains normal.
