Quantifying the quantumness of ensembles is a vital and practical task in quantum information theory. In this paper, we quantify the quantumness of quantum ensembles based on a quantifier of the coherence of ensembles via generalized α-z-relative Renyi entropy. It is shown that this measure satisfies the intuitive and desirable properties which are required by a measure of quantumness, such as positivity, unitary invariance, monotonicity under any commutativity preserving operations and so on. The relationship between our measure and some existing measures for quantumness of quantum ensembles is discussed. Detailed examples are presented to some important ensembles to illustrate the quantumness given by our measure.

In this paper, we consider the following quasilinear Schrodinger equation $$\begin{aligned} -\Delta u+V(x)u+\frac{\kappa }{2}\Delta (u^2)u=\lambda f(u)+h(u),\,\, x\in {\mathbb {R}}^N, \end{aligned}$$where $$\lambda ,\kappa >0$$, $$N\ge 3$$ and $$2^*=\frac{2N}{N-2}$$. By using a change of variable, we obtain the existence of positive solutions for this problem with subcritical nonlinearities by using the mountain pass theorem and Moser iterative method. Our results extend and supplement some other related literatures.

This paper concerns the existence of sign-changing solutions for the following fractional Kirchhoff-type equation with critical and supercritical nonlinearities $$\begin{aligned} \left( a+b[u]^{2}\right) (-\Delta )^{\alpha }u+V(x)u=f(x,u)+\lambda |u| ^{r-2}u,\,\, \text {in}\,\,\mathbb {R}^3, \end{aligned}$$ where $$a,b>0$$ are constants, $$\alpha \in (\frac{3}{4}, 1)$$ , $$\lambda >0$$ is a real parameter, $$r\ge 2_{\alpha }^{*}=\frac{6}{3-2\alpha }$$ , $$(-\Delta )^{\alpha }$$ is the fractional Laplace operator, the potential function V and the nonlinearity f satisfy some suitable conditions. By combining an appropriate truncation argument with Moser iteration method, we prove that the existence of sign-changing solutions for the above equation when the parameter $$\lambda $$ is sufficiently small. Our results enrich and improve the previous ones in the literature.

In this paper, we introduce the concepts of cyclic $$\varphi $$ -contractions in Menger PM-spaces and cyclic weak $$\phi $$ -contractions in generalized Menger PM-spaces. Based on these concepts, some fixed point results for cyclic $$\varphi $$ -contractions in Menger PM-spaces are obtained. Furthermore, some fixed point theorems for cyclic weak $$\phi $$ -contractions and cyclic $$\varphi $$ -contractions in generalized Menger PM-spaces are obtained by assuming that the number of cyclic sets is odd. An example is also given to show the validity of our main results.

The forward-backward splitting algorithm is a popular operator-splitting method for solving monotone inclusion of the sum of a maximal monotone operator and a cocoercive operator. In this paper, we present a new convergence analysis of a variable metric forward-backward splitting algorithm with extended relaxation parameters in real Hilbert spaces. We prove that this algorithm is weakly convergent when certain weak conditions are imposed upon the relaxation parameters. Consequently, we recover the forward-backward splitting algorithm with variable step sizes. As an application, we obtain a variable metric forward-backward splitting algorithm for solving the minimization problem of the sum of two convex functions, where one of them is differentiable with a Lipschitz continuous gradient. Furthermore, we discuss the applications of this algorithm to the fundamental of the variational inequalities problem, constrained convex minimization problem, and split feasibility problem. Numerical experimental results on LASSO problem in statistical learning demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed iterative algorithm., 27 pages, 2 figures

In this paper, we propose some new coupled coincidence point and fixed point theorems for the mappings F and g. Our results are obtained by exploring the corresponding initial value problems for the mapping F and weakening the involved contractive conditions. As an application, we study the existence and uniqueness of solution to integro-differential equations.

In this paper, the new concepts of \(\alpha \)-admissible mappings with respect to \(\eta \) in single-valued case and \(\alpha _{*}\)-admissible mappings with respect to \(\eta _{*}\) in set-valued case in Menger PM-spaces are introduced, and some new fixed point results for both single-valued and set-valued mappings under certain contractive conditions are studied, which extend and generalize some results in corresponding literatures. Some examples are provided to illustrate the validity of our main results, and an application is also given to discuss the existence of solution for Volterra type integral equations.

This paper studies the problem of the robustly exponential stabilization for uncertain Markovian jump systems with mode-dependent time-varying state delays. The contribution of this paper is two-fold. Firstly, by constructing a modified Lyapunov functional and using free-weighting matrices technique, some delay-dependent robustly exponential stability criteria of such systems are obtained in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), which are less conservative than some existing ones. Secondly, a state feedback controller is designed, which can guarantee the robustly exponential stability of the uncertain closed-loop systems. Some illustrative numerical examples are given to demonstrate the reduced conservatism and applicability of the obtained results.

Some related fixed points theorems on two complete cone metric spaces are proved. These results generalize some known results in metric spaces.

In this paper, we prove some common fixed point theorems for any even number of compatible mappings in complete intuitionistic fuzzy metric spaces. Our main results extend and generalize some known results in fuzzy metric spaces and intuitionistic fuzzy metric spaces.

We introduce an iterative algorithm for solving the multiple-sets split feasibility problem with splitting self-adaptive step size. This step size is calculated directly from the iteration process without need to know the spectral norm of linear operators. We also generalize the chosen step size to a relaxed iterative algorithm. Theoretical convergence is proved in an infinite dimensional Hilbert space. Some numerical experiments are presented to verify the effectiveness of our proposed methods.

In this work, we introduce a new φ-contractive mapping; following that, we obtain some multipled common fixed point theorems for a pair of mappings $T: \underbrace{X \times X \times\cdots\times X}_{m\text{-times}}\rightarrow X$ and $A: X\rightarrow X$ . The main results of this paper are generalization of the main results of Kutbi et al. (Fixed Point Theory Appl. 2015(1):32, 2015). As an illustration, we give an example to demonstrate the validity of the obtained results.

In this paper, we generalize the algebraic sum ⊕ of Fang. Based on this concept, we prove some common fixed point theorems for three pairs of self-mappings satisfying the common $(E.A)$ property in Menger $PGM$ -spaces. Finally, an example is given to exemplify our main results.

In this paper, we first introduce the concepts of generalized ( ψ , f ) λ -expansive mappings and generalized ( ϕ , g , h ) λ -weakly expansive mappings designed for three mappings. Then we establish some common fixed point results for such two new types of mappings in partial b-metric spaces. These results generalize and extend the main results of Karapınar et al. (J. Inequal. Appl. 2014:22, 2014), Nashine et al. (Fixed Point Theory Appl. 2013:203, 2013) and many comparable results from the current literature. In this paper, we introduce a new concept of quasi-b-metric-like spaces as a generalization of b-metric-like spaces and quasi-metric-like spaces. Some fixed point theorems are investigated in quasi-b-metric-like spaces. Moreover, an example is given to support one of our results. MSC:47H10, 54H25.

In this paper, we introduce a new concept of generalized cyclic (κh, ϕL)S-weak contraction mappings and establish some coincidence point results for such mappings in complete partially ordered Menger PM-spaces. Our results generalize the main results of Nashine (Nonlinear Anal. 75:6160-6169, 2012) and Gopal et al. (Appl. Math. Comput. 233:955-967, 2014). We also obtain the corresponding coincidence point theorems for generalized cyclic (κh, ϕL)S-weak contractions in partially ordered metric spaces. MSC: 47H10; 54H25

In this paper, the new concepts of generalized Menger probabilistic metric spaces and tripled common fixed point for a pair of mappings T : X × X × X → X and A : X → X are introduced. Utilizing the properties of the pseudo-metric and the triangular norm, some tripled common fixed point problems of hybrid probabilistic contractions with a gauge function φ are studied. The obtained results generalize some coupled common fixed point theorems in the corresponding literature. Finally, an example is given to illustrate our main results. MSC:47H10, 46S50.

Some common fixed point theorems for a family of non-self mappings defined on a closed subset of a metrically convex cone metric space (over the cone which is not necessarily normal) are obtained which generalize earlier results due to Imdad et al. and Janković et al. MSC:47H10, 54H25.

In this work, we establish some fixed point theorems for weakly C-contractive mappings in partial metric spaces. Presented theorems extend and generalize some existence results in the literature. Also, an example is given to support our results.

In this paper, some Banach spaces are introduced. Based on these spaces and the coincidence degree theory, a 2m-point boundary value problem for a coupled system of impulsive fractional differential equations at resonance is considered, and the new criterion on existence is obtained. In this paper, we introduce the concept of Hausdorff G-metric in the space of fuzzy sets induced by the metric and obtain some results on Hausdorff G-metric. We also prove common fixed point theorems for a family of fuzzy self-mappings in the space of fuzzy sets on a complete G-metric space. MSC:47H10, 54H25.

In this work, the existence criteria of extremal solutions of periodic boundary value problems for the first-order dynamic equations on time scales are given by using the method of lower and upper solutions coupled with the monotone iterative technique. Our results generalize and improve some existing results. Two examples are provided to show the effectiveness and feasibility of the obtained results.
