In most cases, nurses either have not used such systems before or have had minimal exposure to them. Yet nursing effectiveness is directly related to the speed and accuracy nurses bring to this core communications vehicle. The assimilation of nurses into the culture of the computer is essential not only to patient care but also to the well being of the caregivers themselves.
