Gangliosides play an imperative role in cell signaling, neuronal recovery, apoptosis, and other physiological processes. For example, GM3 can regulate hypothalamic leptin resistance and control energy homeostasis, GD3 can mediate cell proliferation and differentiation and induce apoptosis, and GQ1b can stimulate neurogenesis. Therefore, the present study sought to establish and optimize the targeted analysis method for ganglioside subclasses and their molecular species using hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography–triple quadrupole–MS/MS (HILIC-QQQ-MS/MS). Additionally, the fragmentation pattern of different ganglioside subclasses and their retention time patterns were analyzed, providing more accurate qualitative results. The limit of quantitation (LOQ) was as low as 10−4 ng. Moreover, the molecular species of gangliosides in the liver, cortex, and hypothalamus of C57BL/6 mice were analyzed using the established method. A total of 23 ganglioside subclasses with 164 molecular species, including 40 O-acetylated ganglioside molecular species and 28 NeuGc ganglioside molecular species, were identified using the semi-quantitative analysis method of an external standard curve corrected by an internal standard. In addition to NeuGc gangliosides, the contents of ganglioside subclasses were more abundant in the mouse brain than those in the mouse liver; especially, the contents of unsaturated gangliosides in the hypothalamus were much higher than those in the liver. Among them, O-acetylated gangliosides were detected only in the cortex and hypothalamus at a concentration of up to 100 μg/mg protein (40 molecular species). Overall, the proposed method expanded the detectable number of ganglioside subclasses and molecular species in biological samples and provided more opportunities for further study of the biological functions of gangliosides. Understanding quantum systems is of significant importance for assessing the performance of quantum hardware and software, as well as exploring quantum control and quantum sensing. An efficient representation of quantum states enables realizing quantum state tomography with minimal measurements. In this study, we propose an alternative approach to state tomography that uses tensor network representations of mixed states through locally purified density operators and employs a classical data postprocessing algorithm requiring only local measurements. Through numerical simulations of one-dimensional pure and mixed states and two-dimensional pure states up to size 8 × 8, we demonstrate the efficiency, accuracy, and robustness of our proposed methods. Experiments on the IBM and Quafu Quantum platforms complement these numerical simulations. Our study opens avenues in quantum state tomography for two-dimensional systems using tensor network formalism. Quantum state tomography is a fundamental tool for assessing the performance of quantum hardware and plays a crucial role in advancing quantum information processing. The frequent relocation of professional football clubs is a phenomenon unique to Chinese professional football, which has long attracted extensive attention from policy makers and scholars. Using data on spatial geography and competitive levels between 1994 and 2021, this research explores the spatial distribution and migration characteristics of top professional football clubs in China, in which GIS spatial analysis and exploratory spatial data analysis (ESDA) were used to analyze the influence of the regional economic, demographic, and developmental levels of the sports industry and institutional supply on the distribution and migration of clubs. The results indicate the following: (1) the overall spatial distribution of professional football clubs in China shows the pattern of “more in the east and less in the west”, and the degree of club concentration gradually increases over time; (2) the migration frequency and downward migration of professional football clubs in China gradually decreased during the period of C League and CSL, and the overall situation tends to be stable; and (3) in the early stages of development of professional leagues, changes in ownership and local policy supply had a significant impact on the distribution and migration of professional clubs. As time progressed, the top-down design of institutional arrangements changed, and the regional economic, demographic, and developmental levels of the sports industry gradually became the essential determinants of the distribution and migration of professional football clubs. In the future, Chinese professional football clubs should focus on rationalizing the advantages of the regional economy, demography, and sports industry as well as reducing their reliance on short-term resources, such as corporate investment and policy benefits. Carbon emissions in the industrial sector have received widespread attention around the world, and achieving carbon peak in the industrial sector has become an important component of achieving sustainable development. However, there are significant differences in the level of industrial development across different regions in some countries, and a differentiated peak path needs to be formulated accordingly. In this paper, we construct a methodology system for industrial carbon peak, which includes "sector clustering—factor decomposition—scenario analysis—path selection." We design a national industrial carbon peak path at the provincial level and conduct empirical analysis using China as an example. The results show that industrial investment scale is the most important factor promoting the growth of carbon emissions in each plate. The Chinese government's goal of achieving carbon peak in the industrial sector before 2030 is highly reasonable and feasible. By comprehensively considering emission reduction effectiveness and implementation difficulty, the best industrial peak path is selected. The corresponding ratio of China's industrial carbon emissions in 2030 to the benchmark year is most likely to be between 1.043 and 1.054, and the degree of implementation difficulty is moderate. In addition, several differentiated macro-policy recommendations for each cluster's development are proposed based on their actual development, which can provide useful references and guidance for local governments in formulating their development plans. This study aimed to develop a prognostic risk model based on immune-related long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs). By analyzing the expression profiles of specific long non-coding RNAs, the objective was to construct a predictive model to accurately assess the survival prognosis of breast cancer (BC) patients. This effort seeks to provide personalized treatment strategies for patients and improve clinical outcomes. Based on the median risk value, 300 samples of triple-negative BC (TNBC) patients were rolled into a high-risk group (HR group, n = 140) and a low-risk group (LR group, n = 160). Multivariate Cox (MVC) analysis was performed by combining the patient risk score and clinical information to evaluate the prognostic value of the prognostic risk (PR) model. A total of 371 immune-related lncRNAs associated with the prognosis of TNBC were obtained from 300 TNBC samples. Nine associated with prognosis were obtained by univariate Cox (UVC) analysis, and 3 (AC090181.2, LINC01235, and LINC01943) were selected by MVC analysis for the construction of TNBC PR model. Survival analysis showed a great difference in TNBC patients in different groups (P < 0.001). The receiver operator characteristic (ROC) curve showed the model possessed a good area under ROC curve (AUC), which was 0.928. The patient RS jointing with clinical information as well as the MVC analysis revealed that RS was an independent risk factor (IRF) for prognosis of TNBC (P < 0.05, HR = 1.033286). Therefore, the lncRNAs associated with TNBC immunity can be screened by bioinformatics analysis, and the established PR model of TNBC could better predict the prognosis of patients with TNBC, exhibiting a high application value in clinic. Objective: Gastric cancer is a malignant tumor with high morbidity and mortality all around the world. Because of its poor prognosis and low survival rate, the treatment of gastric cancer has received extensive attention. Cinnamaldehyde (CA) is the main single active component of the Chinese herbal medicine cinnamon, which has a variety of pharmacological effects. The inhibitory effect of CA on the growth of some tumor cells has been proven, but its therapeutic effect on gastric cancer has rarely been reported. Methods: Through network pharmacology, bioinformatics methods, and molecular docking technology, we predicted the interaction targets of CA and gastric cancer. Moreover, we found that apoptosis is an important mode of action of CA on gastric cancer cells. Subsequently, we validated it in gastric cancer cell lines cultured in vitro. Results: The results showed that in the presence of CA, the Jak2/Stat3 pathway was inhibited, the ratio of Bcl-2/Bax decreased, and the apoptosis of gastric cancer cells was promoted in a concentration-dependent. Conclusion: In conclusion, CA can promote the apoptosis of gastric cancer cells by inhibiting the activity of the Jak2/Stat3 pathway, which may achieve the effect of treating gastric cancer. Aluminum is a common environmental neurotoxin. Aluminum ions can cross the blood–brain barrier and accumulate in different brain regions, damage brain tissue, and cause cognitive impairment, but the molecular mechanism of aluminum neurotoxicity is not precise. This study investigated the effects of miR-204-5p, target gene EphB2, and downstream signaling pathway NMDAR-ERK-CREB-Arc on cognitive dysfunction induced by aluminum exposure. The results showed that the learning and memory of the rats were impaired in behavior. The accumulation of aluminum in the hippocampus resulted in the damage of nerve cell morphology in the CA1 region of the hippocampus. The expression level of miR-204-5p was increased, and the mRNA and protein expressions of EphB2, NMDAR2B, ERK1/2, CREB, and Arc were decreased. The results indicated that the mechanism of impaired learning and memory induced by aluminum exposure might promote the expression of miR-204-5P and further inhibit the expression of the target gene EphB2 and its downstream signaling pathway NMDAR-ERK-CREB-Arc. Aluminum (Al) is a low toxic trace element that can accumulate in the nervous system and induce cognitive disorders characterized by reduced learning and memory ability. Neuroepigenetic effects are structural changes in cellular function by the brain in response to environmental stimuli by altering the expression of specific genes and repressing normal cellular transcription, leading to abnormalities in a variety of biological processes within the nervous system and affecting neurobehavioral responses. One of the most important mechanisms of epigenetic control on chromatin shape is histone modification. In the present study, we established an offspring rat model of Al intoxication to investigate the changes in spatial learning and memory retention abilities and the relationship with histone H2B acetylation modification in rats exposed to different doses of Al over a long period of time. The results demonstrated that long-term AlCl3 staining resulted in decreased CBP gene and protein expression, increased HDAC3 gene and protein levels, as well as decreased histone H2B and acH2BK20 protein expression levels in the hippocampus of rats. In conclusion, long-term exposure to Al may vary the expression of histone H2B and acH2BK20 through the regulation of enzymes that specifically regulate histone acetylation, hence hastening the deterioration of the nervous system that impairs cognitive function. This paper presents a wideband signal (WS) beamforming method based on Inception convolutional neural network (ICNN), named as WS-ICNN algorithm. Firstly, an Inception module is constructed via some convolutional layers with feature maps of different sizes and a pooling layer. It can not only extract different scale information of covariance matrix, but also excavate the spatial correlation information about received wideband signals, so that the inception module can help neural network improve the beamforming output performance. On this basis, an ICNN model is established, which is suitable for wideband beamforming. Then, in order to obtain a good training label for the proposed ICNN model, a taper matrix and a second-order cone programming problem are introduced to calculate a wideband beamforming weight vector label. Based on this label, the training process of the proposed ICNN model is accomplished. Finally, the well-trained ICNN model accepts the input of the covariance matrix, and output the beamforming weight vector. The flutter instability characteristics and physical mechanisms of a weakly damped Ziegler double pendulum subjected to the follower type circulatory loading are investigated, while the double pendulum is assumed to be with arbitrary masses, stiffness and damping. Different with the existing mathematical analysis methods, an energy method with clear physical meaning is adopted to deduce the pendulum flutter instability boundary conditions, and to evaluate the corresponding critical parameters in this study. Thus through introducing some ratio parameters of the structural mass, stiffness and damping coefficients, the complex influences of the structural mass, stiffness and damping on the pendulum flutter instability characteristics are discussed in details. The results indicate that, in addition to the well-known counter-intuitive "damping Ziegler Paradox" influence, there also exist the stabilizing and destabilizing influences of the structural mass and stiffness. To clarify the corresponding physical mechanisms, the power flow characteristics on the pendulum flutter instability occurrence are investigated. It is observed that the structural mass and stiffness related powers on each coordinate can constitute the "power exchange twins", and can cause the related destabilizing or stabilizing influences of the pendulum mass and stiffness, while the "damping Ziegler Paradox" influence can be regulated by the energy transmission efficiency between the stiffness related powers on each coordinate. The market size of the Internet audiovisual industry is expanding continuously, which has profoundly affected the ecology of public opinion and the development of the digital culture industry. During the epidemic of Covid-19, it is witnessed that a surge of active online audiovisual users. However, several issues happening in the Internet audiovisual industry, such as spreading rumors, engaging in vulgar performances, which seriously damaged the network environment and social order. For this reason, a tripartite evolutionary game model of Internet audiovisual space governance was established to simulate and analyze the behavior strategies of administrative departments of radio and television, the Internet audiovisual program service agencies, and network audio and video content creators. Moreover, the game model is verified by empirical analysis. Results demonstrate that: only driven by the administrative department of broadcasting and television can the tripartite evolutionary game of Internet audiovisual space governance reach the expected evolutionary equilibrium point. Therefore, administrative departments of radio and television should give full play to the driving role in the process of Internet audiovisual space governance, strengthen the publicity of regulating the creation of Internet audiovisual content and the warning of vulgar creation through government regulation. Background: Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive gastric cancer (GC) is a heterogeneous GC subtype characterized by the overexpression of HER2. To date, few specific targeted therapies have demonstrated durable efficacy in HER2-positive GC patients, with resistance to trastuzumab typically emerging within 1 year. However, the mechanisms of resistance to trastuzumab remain incompletely understood, presenting a significant challenge to clinical practice. Methods: In this study, we integrated genetic screening and bulk transcriptome and epigenomic profiling to define the mechanisms mediating adaptive resistance to HER2 inhibitors and identify potential effective therapeutic strategies for treating HER2-positive GCs. Results: We revealed a potential association between adaptive resistance to trastuzumab in HER2-positive GC and the expression of YES-associated protein (YAP). Notably, our investigation revealed that long-term administration of trastuzumab triggers extensive chromatin remodeling and initiates YAP gene transcription in HER2-positive cells characterized by the initial inhibition and subsequent reactivation. Furthermore, treatment of HER2-positive GC cells and cell line-derived xenografts (CDX) models with YAP inhibitors in combination with trastuzumab was found to induce synergistic effects through the AKT/mTOR and ERK/mTOR pathways. Conclusion: These findings underscore the pivotal role of reactivated YAP and mTOR signaling pathways in the development of adaptive resistance to trastuzumab and may serve as a promising joint target to overcome resistance to trastuzumab. Background: Gastric cancer (GC) remains a leading cause of cancer mortality globally. Synaptotagmin-4 (SYT4), a calcium-sensing synaptic vesicle protein, has been implicated in the oncogenesis of diverse malignancies. Purpose: This study delineates the role of SYT4 in modulating clinical outcomes and biological behaviors in GC. Methods: We evaluated SYT4 expression in GC specimens using bioinformatics analyses and immunohistochemistry. Functional assays included CCK8 proliferation tests, apoptosis assays via flow cytometry, confocal calcium imaging, and xenograft models. Western blotting elucidated MAPK pathway involvement. Additionally, we investigated the impact of the calcium channel blocker amlodipine on cellular dynamics and MAPK pathway activity. Results: SYT4 was higher in GC tissues, and the elevated SYT4 was significantly correlated with adverse prognosis. Both univariate and multivariate analyses confirmed SYT4 as an independent prognostic indicator for GC. Functionally, SYT4 promoted tumorigenesis by fostering cellular proliferation, inhibiting apoptosis, and enhancing intracellular Ca2+ influx, predominantly via MAPK pathway activation. Amlodipine pre-treatment attenuated SYT4-driven cell growth and potentiated apoptosis, corroborated by in vivo xenograft assessments. These effects were attributed to MAPK pathway suppression by amlodipine. Conclusion: SYT4 emerges as a potential prognostic biomarker and a pro-oncogenic mediator in GC through a Ca2+-dependent MAPK mechanism. Amlodipine demonstrates significant antitumor effects against SYT4-driven GC, positing its therapeutic promise. Purpose: Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is prevalent worldwide and considered a crucial issue regarding women's health. In the present study, the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) Study 2019 dataset was utilized to assess the distributional trends in PMS burden and prevalence in regional, national, and sociodemographic index (SDI) categories. Methods: The analytical methods and approaches used in the 2019 GBD study were adopted to investigate the incidence rates and disability-adjusted life years (DALY) related to PMS in 204 countries or regions. Age-standardized incidence rates (ASIR), 95% uncertainty intervals (95% UI), and annual percentage changes (EAPC) were calculated from the data. Results: The global incidence and disability-adjusted life years of PMS exhibited a declining trend in the year 2019. Regions with medium–low SDI had the greatest burden of PMS, with the regions of South Asia (ASR = 7337.9 per 10,000) exhibiting the greatest Age-standardized incidence rates, while the high-income North American states presented the fastest upward trends in Age-standardized disability-adjusted life year rates. At the national level, 107 nations exhibited a decreasing trend in PMS incidence ASR, while 97 nations exhibited an increasing trend, with the United States presenting the greatest increase. Conclusions: The present study highlighted that even though the global PMS incidence and disability-adjusted life years have decreased from the year 1990 to 2019, PMS remains a prevalent health concern for women worldwide. While addressing preventive measures and treatment, it is also important to consider the regional and national differences in PMS to develop further effective and targeted health policies. The underlying mechanism of fluorosis has not been fully elucidated. The purpose of this study was to explore the mechanism of fluorosis induced by sodium fluoride (NaF) using proteomics. Six offspring rats exposed to fluoride without dental fluorosis were defined as group A, 8 offspring rats without fluoride exposure were defined as control group B, and 6 offspring rats exposed to fluoride with dental fluorosis were defined as group C. Total proteins from the peripheral blood were extracted and then separated using liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry. The identified criteria for differentially expressed proteins were fold change > 1.2 or < 0.83 and P < 0.05. Gene Ontology function annotation and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway enrichment analysis were performed using the oeCloud tool. The 177 upregulated and 22 downregulated proteins were identified in the A + C vs. B group. KEGG pathway enrichment analysis revealed that transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β) signaling pathway significantly enriched. PPI network constructed using Cytoscape confirmed RhoA may play a crucial role. The KEGG results of genes associated with fluoride and genes associated with both fluoride and inflammation in the GeneCards database also showed that TGF-β signaling pathway was significantly enriched. The immunofluorescence in HPA database showed that the main expression sites of RhoA are plasma membrane and cytosol, while the main expression site of Fbn1 is the Golgi apparatus. In conclusion, long-term NaF intake may cause inflammatory response in the peripheral blood of rats by upregulating TGF-β signaling pathway, in which RhoA may play a key role. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Dynamic microscale droplets produced by liquid–liquid phase separation (LLPS) have emerged as appealing biomaterials due to their remarkable features. However, the instability of droplets limits the construction of population-level structures with collective behaviors. Here we first provide a brief background of droplets in the context of materials properties. Subsequently, we discuss current strategies for stabilizing droplets including physical separation and chemical modulation. We also discuss the recent development of LLPS droplets for various applications such as synthetic cells and biomedical materials. Finally, we give insights on how stabilized droplets can self-assemble into higher-order structures displaying coordinated functions to fully exploit their potentials in bottom-up synthetic biology and biomedical applications. Background: Abnormal expression of protein tyrosine kinase 6 (PTK6) has been proven to be involved in the development of gynecological tumors. However, its immune-related carcinogenic mechanism in other tumors remains unclear. Objective: The aim of this study was to identify PTK6 as a novel prognostic biomarker in pan-cancer, especially in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), which is correlated with immune infiltration, and to clarify its clinicopathological and prognostic significance. Methods: The prognostic value and immune relevance of PTK6 were investigated by using bio-informatics in this study. PTK6 expression was validated in vitro experiments (lung cancer cell lines PC9, NCI-H1975, and HCC827; human normal lung epithelial cells BEAS-2B). Western blot (WB) revealed the PTK6 protein expression in lung cancer cell lines. PTK6 expression was inhibited by Tilfrinib. Colony formation and the Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) assay were used to detect cell proliferation. The wound healing and trans-well were performed to analyze the cell migration capacity. Then flow cytometry was conducted to evaluate the cell apoptosis. Eventually, the relationship between PTK6 and immune checkpoints was examined. WB was used to estimate the PD-L1 expression at different Tilfrinib doses. Results: PTK6 was an independent predictive factor for LUAD and was substantially expressed in LUAD. Pathological stage was significantly correlated with increased PTK6 expression. In accordance with survival analysis, poor survival rate in LUAD was associated with a high expression level of PTK6. Functional enrichment of the cell cycle and TGF-β signaling pathway was demonstrated by KEGG and GSEA analysis. Moreover, PTK6 expression considerably associated with immune infiltration in LUAD, as determined by immune analysis. Thus, the result of vitro experiments indicated that cell proliferation and migration were inhibited by the elimination of PTK6. Additionally, PTK6 suppression induced cell apoptosis. Obviously, PD-L1 protein expression level up-regulated while PTK6 was suppressed. Conclusion: PTK6 has predictive value for LUAD prognosis, and could up regulated PD-L1. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

To examine the effects of clomiphene citrate (CC) on follicular fluid metabolites and related metabolic pathways in rats with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) using non-targeted metabolomics and determine how CC treats ovulation disorder in PCOS. The Sprague Dawley rats were randomly divided into control, model, and CC groups. A PCOS model was established with letrozole. Body weight, ovarian weight, estrus cycles, serum hormone levels, and ovary histopathology of the rats were collected for further evaluation. Moreover, through ultra-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry, the study of follicular fluid metabolites revealed the mechanism of action of CC. CC reduced ovarian weight and regulated estrous cycles and serum hormone levels in PCOS rats but did not affect their body weight. Moreover, the metabolomic results showed that CC adjusted 153 metabolites, among which 16 cross metabolites like testosterone, androstenedione, 17α-hydroxyprogesterone, and cholic acid were considered as potential biomarkers for CC to improve ovulation disorders in PCOS rats. Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway enrichment also showed that the CC group mainly engaged in tryptophan metabolism and steroid hormone biosynthesis. CC can improve ovulation disorders in rats, and its mechanism is related to the regulation of the secretion of serum hormone and follicular fluid metabolites and the amelioration of multi-metabolic pathways. Facile and efficient photocatalysts using sunlight, as well as fast and sensitive surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) substrates, are urgently needed for practical degradation of tetracycline (TC). To meet these requirements, a new paradigm for PI/TiO2/Ag organic‒inorganic ternary flexible microfibers based on semiconducting titanium dioxide (TiO2), the noble metal silver (Ag) and the conjugated polymer polyimide (PI) was developed by engineering a simple method. Under sunlight, the photocatalytic characteristics of the PI/TiO2/Ag flexible microfibers containing varying amounts of Ag quantum dots (QDs) were evaluated with photocatalytic degradation of TC in aqueous solution. The results demonstrated that the amount of Ag affected the photocatalytic activity. Among the tested samples, PI/TiO2/Ag-0.07 (93.1%) exhibited a higher photocatalytic degradation rate than PI/TiO2 (25.7%), PI/TiO2/Ag-0.05 (77.7%), and PI/TiO2/Ag-0.09 (63.3%). This observation and evaluation conducted in the present work strongly indicated a charge transfer mechanism. Moreover, the PI/TiO2/Ag-0.07 flexible microfibers exhibited highly sensitive SERS detection, as demonstrated by the observation of the Raman peaks for TC even at an extremely low concentration of 10–10 moles per liter. The excellent photocatalytic performance and SERS detection capability of the PI/TiO2/Ag flexible microfibers arose from the Schottky barrier formed between Ag and TiO2 and also from the outstanding plasmonic resonance and visible light absorptivity of Ag, along with immobilization by the PI. Slope length is an important factor in soil erosion modeling, and the reasonable automatic extraction of slope length is of great significance in soil erosion research. However, previous studies have mainly focused on the regional scale, and how to effectively extract slope length at the slope scale deserves further research. In this study, a slope length extraction algorithm based on slope streamlines method (SSM) is proposed for the slope length extraction problem in geomorphology, and it is compared with three existing slope length calculation methods. The experimental results show that the new method can quickly calculate the length of slope streamlines, and the extracted slope lengths have better accuracy; the coefficients of determination demonstrates a better overall fitting effect of the four extraction methods, with coefficients of determination exceeding 0.7; this indicates that the use of SSM has similar accuracy and stability to other methods in calculating slope lengths. Among all the calculation methods, SSM has a better overall fitting effect for slope length calculation, and the obtained slope length value domain range is relatively small and concentrated in a small range, which expresses the slope length better. A cupric oxide (CuO) nanosheet-based chemical fluorescence sensor was developed to realize the detection of acetone in aqueous solutions. CuO is an oxidase mimic and can catalyze the oxidation of o-phenylenediamine (OPD) to form 2,3-diaminophenazine (oxOPD). Interestingly, acetone was found to possess the scavenging ability for superoxide anions generated in the CuO-catalyzed oxidation system, hence weakening the OPD oxidation and leading to a reduction in the fluorescence intensity of the catalyzing system at 574 nm under excitation at 425 nm. Based on this property of acetone, a fluorescent sensor was constructed to detect acetone. The sensor exhibits a linear range of 1.35 to 2 × 105 µmol L–1 and a detection limit of 1.08 µmol L–1. Additionally, a smartphone-free portable device was constructed to realize on-the-spot and rapid detection of acetone in cauliflower, mineral water, tap water, and lake water samples. The recoveries by the portable device are 93.2 to 108% for actual samples, with relative standard deviations of less than 4.3%, indicating a potential application prospect of the device in on-site detection. In recent years, the rare earth doped upconversion luminescent materials have been widely used in many fields. In practical applications, we observed that various dopants have distinct effects on different substances to some extent. In this context, we have successfully synthesized a dual-mode-excited Ca3TeO6 double perovskite. After introduce the Yb3+/Er3+ ions pair, the designed phosphor can emit green and red luminescence under 980 nm and 1550 nm excitation, respectively, making it suitable for diverse scientific and technological applications. The potential up-conversion mechanisms driven by different excitation sources have been investigated. Moreover, it was discovered that adjusting the molar ratio of Er3+ and Yb3+ ions enhances the performance of the studied materials, rendering them well-suited for application as a high-quality optical thermometer based on the FIR technique. Our results clearly indicate that Er3+/Yb3+ co-doped Ca3TeO6 phosphors allows for multiple optimizations and control of material properties, showcasing great potential for applications in various field. The quality of landslide susceptibility assessment is effected by landslide inventory and raster resolution. The point landslide inventory and polygon landslide inventory are usually two spatial representations. The uncertainty to landslide susceptibility result will be induced by different raster resolution and landslide spatial representation. To explore the uncertainty caused by differences in landslide spatial representation and raster resolution, 2 spatial representations (point and polygon) in landslide inventory and 4 raster resolutions (25 m, 50 m, 75 m and 100 m) were introduced in the landslide susceptibility model. A total of 489 landslides with accurate boundary information were obtained in Wanzhou District, Chongqing, China. 5 geo-environmental predictors and random forest model as a data-driven model were used in the landslide susceptibility assessment. The research results demonstrate that (i) in terms of model performance, the prediction performance of polygon models was higher than that of point models by comparing reliability and accuracy. In addition, under the conditions of different base map resolution in the study area, the 25m resolution has a relatively good prediction performance. (ii) In terms of model robustness analysis, the lowest uncertainty was the 25 m resolution model, which has more stable prediction performance. Purpose: Although the treatment of abdominal wall desmoid-type fibromatosis (DF) has evolved over the past decades, surgical treatment remains an important approach. Previously, surgeries for abdominal DF were mostly performed by laparotomy, which involves massive dissection and significant trauma. Here, we report our single-center experience of the laparoscopic management of abdominal wall DF in young female patients. Methods: The clinical data of nine patients diagnosed with abdominal wall DF during January 2020–April 2022 at the Qilu Hospital of Shandong University were retrospectively analyzed. All patients underwent laparoscopic resection of abdominal wall DF and immediate abdominal wall reconstruction (AWR) with mesh augmentation via the intraperitoneal onlay mesh (IPOM) technique. Results: Laparoscopic DF resection and AWR were successfully performed in all patients. The mean operation time was 175.56 ± 46.20 min. The width of abdominal wall defect was 8.61 ± 3.30 cm. Full- and partial-thickness myofascial closure and reapproximation were performed in five, two, and two patients, respectively. The average mesh size was 253.33 ± 71.01 cm2. The total and postoperative lengths of hospital stay were 11.00 ± 3.46 and 4.89 ± 2.03 days, respectively. Tumor recurred in one patient after 20 months of the resection. Nonetheless, death, herniation, or bulging were not observed in any patient during a mean follow-up of 16.11 ± 8.43 months. Conclusion: Laparoscopic resection of abdominal wall DF and immediate AWR with IPOM mesh reinforcement is safe and reliable for young female patients. The purpose of this study assess the status of coagulation function in a large series of reproductive-age women with a history of missed abortion in China. Likewise, we want to explore the association between coagulation and missed abortions, in order to evaluate whether they could be used as early predictive factors for missed abortions. A total of 11,182 women who suffered from missed abortion from Peking University Third Hospital and 5298 healthy age-matched reproductive-age women were enrolled in our study. Coagulation function tests (prothrombin time, activated partial thromboplastin time), fibrinolysis status detection (fibrinogen, D-Dimer), anticoagulation function tests (protein C, protein S and antithrombin III), and lupus anticoagulants (LAC) were examined. In addition, platelet counts were detected by automated hematology analyzer. Platelet aggregation (PAgT) was tested by light transmission aggregometry (LTA). Compared with healthy reproductive-age women, the level of D-Dimer, dRVVT-R, PC, PAgT, and platelet count was higher, and the antithrombin III (AT-III) activity was lower in women with a history of missed abortion. (P < 0.05). A total of 13.1% patients with a history of missed abortion were positive for LAC, and platelet aggregation rates were increased in 47.4% patients. Moreover, multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that D-Dimer, dRVVT-R, AT-III, PC, and PAgT had significant predictive value for missed abortion. In addition, a model based on coagulation function tests for predicting missed abortion was developed. These findings provide evidence of hypercoagulability in patients with a history of missed abortion. LTBP1 is closely related to TGF-β1 function as an essential component, which was unclear in gastric cancer (GC). Harbin Medical University (HMU)-GC cohort and The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) dataset were combined to form a training cohort to calculate the connection between LTBP1 mRNA expression, prognosis and clinicopathological features. The training cohort was also used to verify the biological function of LTBP1 and its relationship with immune microenvironment and chemosensitivity. In the tissue microarrays (TMAs), immunohistochemical (IHC) staining was performed to observe LTBP1 protein expression. The correlation between LTBP1 protein expression level and prognosis was also analyzed, and a nomogram model was constructed. Western blotting (WB) was used in cell lines to assess LTBP1 expression. Transwell assays and CCK-8 were employed to assess LTBP1's biological roles. In compared to normal gastric tissues, LTBP1 expression was upregulated in GC tissues, and high expression was linked to a bad prognosis for GC patients. Based on a gene enrichment analysis, LTBP1 was primarily enriched in the TGF-β and EMT signaling pathways. Furthermore, high expression of LTBP1 in the tumor microenvironment was positively correlated with an immunosuppressive response. We also found that LTBP1 expression (p = 0.006) and metastatic lymph node ratio (p = 0.044) were independent prognostic risk factors for GC patients. The prognostic model combining LTBP1 expression and lymph node metastasis ratio reliably predicted the prognosis of GC patients. In vitro proliferation and invasion of MKN-45 GC cells were inhibited and their viability was decreased by LTBP1 knockout. Gastric adenocarcinoma (GAC) is one of the world's most lethal malignant tumors. It has been established that the occurrence and progression of GAC are linked to molecular changes. However, the pathogenesis mechanism of GAC remains unclear. In this study, we sequenced 6 pairs of GAC tumor tissues and adjacent normal tissues and collected GAC gene expression profile data from the TCGA database. Analysis of this data revealed 465 differentially expressed genes (DEGs), of which 246 were upregulated and 219 were downregulated. Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway analysis demonstrated that DEGs were observably enriched in ECM-receptor interaction, protein digestion and absorption, and gastric acid secretion pathways. Six key genes (MATN3, COL1A1, COL5A2, P4HA3, SERPINE1 and VCAN) associated with poor GAC prognosis were screened from the protein‒protein interaction (PPI) network by survival analysis, and P4HA3 and MATN3 have rarely been reported to be associated with GAC. We further analyzed the function of P4HA3 in the GAC cell line SGC-7901 by RT‒qPCR, MTT, flow cytometry, colony formation, wound healing, Transwell and western blot assays. We found that P4HA3 was upregulated in the SGC-7901 cell line versus normal control cells. The outcomes of the loss-of-function assay illustrated that P4HA3 significantly enhanced the ability of GAC cells to proliferate and migrate. Organic photovoltaic semiconductors have made significant progress and have promising application prospects after decades of development. When compared with traditional semiconductors, the solution method for preparing photovoltaic semiconductors shows the advantages of low cost and convenient preparation. However, because of the extremely poor solubility of the polymers used to prepare semiconductors, toxic solvents must be used when using the solution method, which has significant negative effects on the environment and operators and severely limits its development prospects. Organic nanoparticles (NPs), on the other hand, can avoid these issues. Because NPs are typically water or alcohol-based, no toxic solvents are used. Furthermore, NPs have been used in organic solar cells, hydrogen catalysis, organic light-emitting diodes, and other fields after nearly two decades of development, and their preparation methods have been developed. How to promote the rapid development of the use of straw resources in China has become one of the important ways to achieve high-quality development in society. This paper adopts econometric methods and takes Shandong Province as the research object to build a set of "financial expenditure—intermediate path—straw resource utilization level" promotion path methodology system, aiming to consider the impact intensity of financial expenditure (as an important means for the government to stimulate the development of straw resource industry) on straw resource utilization level through different paths. The results show that the impact of the two intermediate paths of the development level of waste resources and the development level of infrastructure development are the most obvious. For every 1% increase in fiscal expenditure, the utilization level of straw resources will increase by 2.693% and 2.437%, respectively. The financial expenditure has a positive impact on the level of straw resource utilization through education level, agricultural development foundation, energy conservation and environmental protection investment, and innovative R&D investment, that is to say, the financial expenditure through the above paths is of positive significance for improving the level of straw resource utilization. Among them, the path with the lowest impact intensity is innovation R&D investment, and it is suggested that innovation R&D investment should be inclined to straw utilization technology. The above conclusions can provide scientific theoretical guidance for the further improvement in the utilization level of straw resources in Shandong Province, and also provide reference for the government departments when formulating industrial adjustment plans. Acute exacerbation chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD) has a high mortality rate. However, there is no efficiency biomarker for diagnosing AECOPD. The purpose of this study was to find biomarkers that can quickly and accurately diagnose AECOPD.45 normal controls (NC), 42 patients with stable COPD (SCOPD), and 66 patients with AECOPD were enrolled in our study. Serum exosomes were isolated by ultracentrifuge and verified by morphology and specific biomarkers. Fluorescent quantitation polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) was used to detect the expression of micro RNAs (miRNAs), including miR-660-5p, miR-1258, miR-182-3p, miR-148a-3p, miR-27a-5p and miR-497-5p in serum exosomes and serum. Logistic regression and machine learning methods were used to constructed the diagnostic models of AECOPD. The levels of miR-1258 in the patients with AECOPD were higher than other groups (p < 0.001). The ability of exosomal miR-1258 (AUC = 0.851) to identify AECOPD from SCOPD was superior to other biomarkers, and the combination of exosomal miR-1258 and NLR can increase the AUC to 0.944, with a sensitivity of 81.82%, and specificity of 97.62%. The cross-validation of the models displayed that the logistic regression model based on exosomal miR-1258, NLR and neutrophil count had the best accuracy (0.880) in diagnosing AECOPD from SCOPD. The three most correlated biomarkers with serum exosome miR-1258 were neutrophil count (r = 0.57, p < 0.001), WBC (r = 0.50, p < 0.001) and serum miR-1258 (r = 0.33, p < 0.001). In conclusion, serum exosomal miR-1258 is associated with inflammation, and can be used as a valuable and reliable biomarker for the diagnosis of AECOPD, and the establishment of diagnostic model based on miR-1258, NLR and neutrophils count can help to improving the accuracy of AECOPD diagnosis. Highlights: A humanoid intelligent display platform (HIDP) is created using stretchable and resilient ionotronic materials, and can be applicable in extreme environments and complex mechanical stimulations. HIDP links sound amplitude and brightness through machine learning for audiovisual interaction. HIDP identifies and displays animal species and corresponding frequencies in real-time. This study proposes a rational strategy for the design, fabrication and system integration of the humanoid intelligent display platform (HIDP) to meet the requirements of highly humanized mechanical properties and intelligence for human–machine interfaces. The platform's sandwich structure comprises a middle light-emitting layer and surface electrodes, which consists of silicon elastomer embedded with phosphor and silk fibroin ionoelastomer, respectively. Both materials are highly stretchable and resilient, endowing the HIDP with skin-like mechanical properties and applicability in various extreme environments and complex mechanical stimulations. Furthermore, by establishing the numerical correlation between the amplitude change of animal sounds and the brightness variation, the HIDP realizes audiovisual interaction and successful identification of animal species with the aid of Internet of Things (IoT) and machine learning techniques. The accuracy of species identification reaches about 100% for 200 rounds of random testing. Additionally, the HIDP can recognize animal species and their corresponding frequencies by analyzing sound characteristics, displaying real-time results with an accuracy of approximately 99% and 93%, respectively. In sum, this study offers a rational route to designing intelligent display devices for audiovisual interaction, which can expedite the application of smart display devices in human–machine interaction, soft robotics, wearable sound-vision system and medical devices for hearing-impaired patients. Humans are commonly exposed to the representative neurotoxic heavy metals lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), and mercury (Hg). These three substances can be detected simultaneously in the blood of the general population. We have previously shown that a low-dose mixture of these heavy metals induces rat learning and memory impairment at human exposure levels, but the pathogenic mechanism is still unclear. LIM kinase 1 (LIMK1) plays a critical role in orchestrating synaptic plasticity during brain function and dysfunction. Hence, we investigated the role of LIMK1 activity in low-dose heavy metal mixture-induced neurobehavioral deficits and structural synaptic plasticity disorders. Our results showed that heavy metal mixture exposure altered rat fear responses and spatial learning at general population exposure levels and that these alterations were accompanied by downregulation of LIMK1 phosphorylation and structural synaptic plasticity dysfunction in rat hippocampal tissues and cultured hippocampal neurons. In addition, upregulation of LIMK1 phosphorylation attenuated heavy metal mixture-induced structural synaptic plasticity, dendritic actin dynamics, and cofilin phosphorylation damage. The potent LIMK1 inhibitor BMS-5 yielded similar results induced by heavy metal mixture exposure and aggravated these impairments. Our findings demonstrate that LIMK1 plays a crucial role in neurobehavioral deficits induced by low-dose heavy metal mixture exposure by suppressing structural synaptic plasticity. The synthesis of oxygen vacancies (OVs)-modified TiO2 under mild conditions is attractive. In this work, OVs were easily introduced in TiO2 lattice during the hydrothermal doping process of trivalent iron ions. Theoretical calculations based on a novel charge-compensation structure model were employed with experimental methods to reveal the intrinsic photocatalytic mechanism of Fe-doped TiO2 (Fe–TiO2). The OVs formation energy in Fe–TiO2 (1.12 eV) was only 23.6% of that in TiO2 (4.74 eV), explaining why Fe3+ doping could introduce OVs in the TiO2 lattice. The calculation results also indicated that impurity states introduced by Fe3+ and OVs enhanced the light absorption activity of TiO2. Additionally, charge carrier transport was investigated through the carrier lifetime and relative mass. The carrier lifetime of Fe–TiO2 (4.00, 4.10, and 3.34 ns for 1at%, 2at%, and 3at% doping contents, respectively) was longer than that of undoped TiO2 (3.22 ns), indicating that Fe3+ and OVs could promote charge carrier separation, which can be attributed to the larger relative effective mass of electrons and holes. Herein, Fe–TiO2 has higher photocatalytic indoor NO removal activity compared with other photocatalysts because it has strong light absorption activity and high carrier separation efficiency. The morphology of hollow noble metal nanoparticles is one of the most critical factors that determine their unique properties and applications. However, hollow nanoparticles typically take on the shape of the template, of which few types exist. In this study, a galvanic replacement reaction was used to synthesize hollow gold nanocubes on solid silver nanocubes, which served as the template. Conventionally, galvanic replacement reactions were only suitable to synthesize hollow gold nanoparticles with the same shape as the silver template particles. Here, ascorbic acid was introduced as a weak reducing agent to reduce the gold ions to gold atoms and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) as a surfactant to fabricate hollow gold nanotetrakaidecahedrons by epitaxially depositing gold atoms on the hollow gold nanocubes. The surfactant CTAB is selectively and preferentially adsorbed on the {110} and {100} facets of the hollow nanocubes because of their higher free energies than the {111} facet, which inhibits the growth of the {110} and {100} facets. Consequently, the {111} facet grew the fastest and eventually occupied the largest area, whereas the area of the {100} facets was slightly smaller, and the {110} facets disappeared during the formation of the hollow gold nanotetrakaidecahedrons. The calculated optical absorption spectra provided further evidence for the mechanism of formation and growth of the hollow gold nanotetrakaidecahedrons. This indicates that by adjusting the experimental conditions, hollow nanoparticles with the desired shapes can be fabricated by subsequent oriented and epitaxial growth on the surfaces of hollow nanoparticles synthesized by the galvanic replacement reaction. Ultralow-temperature refrigeration faces significant issues linked to the security of the cold chain for the production, storage, transportation, and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines. The use of environmentally friendly refrigerants in cascade refrigeration systems (CRS) to provide low-temperature range is motivated by the high demand for ultralow-temperature refrigeration units. In the current study, a CRS is built to generate a low temperature of -86 °C for the storage of COVID-19 vaccines. In the CRS, the natural refrigerant combination R290-R170 is used as high-temperature and low-temperature fluids. The pull-down performance of the -86 °C freezer is explored experimentally, and the stable operating performance is determined at two different dry bulb and wet bulb temperatures. Various status monitors are set up to analyze the CRS's operation features, and several temperature monitors are put in the freezer to analyze temperature variations. The power consumption of the CRS is examined and evaluated. Finally, several key findings are summarized. The current work is the first to involve experimental measurements on -86 °C temperature generated by a CRS, which can substantially enhance experiment data in ultralow-temperature refrigeration and contribute to a more in-depth understanding of the operation performance of a -86 °C ultralow-temperature freezer. As a significant detection task, underwater explosion events have piqued the interest of geophysicists. On September 26, 2022, two underwater explosions occurred in the Baltic Sea region involving the Nord Stream pipeline. Subsequent reports from the media and the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre deduced that one event was detected at 17:03:49 GMT, exhibiting a magnitude of 3.1 on the Richter scale, whereas the second event lacked comprehensive information. To meticulously investigate the details of the two Nord Stream incidents, we employed 14 proximate stations for subsequent analysis. Using a linear inversion technique, we determined that the two events occurred at 00:03:30 and 17:03:49, with corresponding coordinates of 54.87°N, 15.52°E and 55.59°N, 15.80°E, respectively, and Richter magnitudes of 2.3 and 3.1, respectively. Spectral analysis corroborates that both events were underwater explosions, and the presence of anomalous signals within the frequency domain may provide valuable insights into source parameters and characteristics, particularly for the first event. In the real world, humans are exposed to multiple metal(loid)s (designated hereafter metals) that contain essential metals as well as toxic metals. Exposure to the metal mixture was assumed to be associated with renal function impairment; however, there is no consensus on available studies. Therefore, we here explored the association between multiple metals exposure and indicators of renal function in the general population from southeastern China. A total of 11 metals with 6 human essential metals and 5 toxic metals were determined in the selected 720 subjects. In addition, serum uric acid (SUA), serum creatinine (SCR), and the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) were measured or calculated as indicators of renal function. Using multiple flexible statistical models of generalized linear model, elastic net regression, and Bayesian kernel machine regression, the joint as well as the individual effect of metals within the mixture, and the interactions between metals were explored. When exposed to the metal mixture, the statistically non-significantly increased SUA, the significantly increased SCR, and the significantly declined eGFR were observed. In addition, the declined renal function may be primarily attributed to lead (Pb), arsenic (As), and nickel (Ni) exposure. Finally, interactions, such as the synergistic effect between Pb and Mo on SUA, whereas the antagonistic effect between Ni and Cd on SCR and eGFR were identified. Our finding suggests that combined exposure to multiple metals would impair renal function. Therefore, reducing exposure to toxic heavy metals of Pb, As, and Cd and limiting exposure to the human essential metal of Ni would protect renal function. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: To develop and validate a user-friendly model to predict the risk of in-hospital mortality in solid cancer patients admitted to the ICU with sepsis. Methods: Clinical data of critically ill patients with solid cancer and sepsis were obtained from Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care-IV database and randomly assigned to the training cohort and validation cohort. The primary outcome was in-hospital mortality. The least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression and logistic regression analysis were used to feature selection and model development. The performance of the model was validated and a dynamic nomogram was developed to visualize the model. Results: A total of 1584 patients were included in this study, of whom 1108 were assigned to the training cohort and 476 to the validation cohort. The LASSO regression and logistic multivariable analysis showed that nine clinical features were associated with in-hospital mortality and enrolled in the model. The area under the curve of the model was 0.809 (95% CI 0.782–0.837) in the training cohort and 0.770 (95% CI 0.722–0.819) in the validation cohort. The model exhibited satisfactory calibration curves and Brier scores in the training set and validation set were 0.149 and 0.152, respectively. The decision curve analysis and clinical impact curve of the model presented good clinical practicability in both the two cohorts. Conclusion: This predictive model could be used to assess the in-hospital mortality of solid cancer patients with sepsis in the ICU, and a dynamic online nomogram could facilitate the sharing of the model. This work produced partially recrystallized microstructures by cold rolling and annealing Inconel 625 sheets to simultaneously achieve excellent strength and ductility. The results showed that the sample achieved excellent ultimate tensile strength (1010 MPa) while retaining good total elongation (68%) when most of its equiaxed grains coexisted with a small number of its non-recrystallized elongated grains. The microstructural heterogeneity is caused by preferential recrystallization at high-strain zones due to non-uniform deformation. And the coexistence of excellent strength and ductility is attributed to the coexistence of non-recrystallized grains at a relatively high internal dislocation density and small-sized strain-free recrystallized grains. In this paper, two types of beetle elytron plates (end-trabecular beetle elytron plate (EBEP) and middle-trabecular beetle elytron plate (MBEP)) and honeycomb plate (HP) were manufactured by 3-D printed and applied to large-span spatial structure. The lateral compressive performance of the 3-D printed beetle elytron plate was investigated by lateral compression bearing capacity test and numerical analysis. The influence of number of cylinders, ratio of the radius of the cylinder to the side length of the hexagonal honeycomb core (ratio of radius-length), thickness of core layer and configuration of beetle elytron plate on the lateral compressive performance of the beetle elytron plates were studied and the optimization method for lateral compressive performance of the beetle elytron plates was proposed. The result shows that the lateral compression bearing capacity of EBEP is greater than that of MBEP, and both are greater than of HP. The lateral compression bearing capacity of the beetle elytron plate with six cylinders is about 25% higher than that of the HP without cylinders. The lateral compression bearing capacity of beetle elytron plate can be improved by increasing the thickness of plates. The great challenge of cemented tailings backfill (CTB) is difficult simultaneously maintaining its excellent mechanical properties and low cost. Fly ash (FA) can potentially address this problem and further replace cement in favor of low carbon development. However, its mechanism on CTB with low cement dosage and low Ca system remains unclear. Consequently, this study conducted uniaxial compression, X-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM)–energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS) tests to investigate the effect of FA dosage on the mechanical property and microstructure of CTB. A molecular model of FA-CSH was constructed to reproduce the molecular structure evolution of CTB with FA based on the test results. The influences of FA dosage and calcium/silica molar ratio (Ca/Si ratio) on the matrix strength and failure model were analyzed to reveal the mechanism of FA on calcium silicate hydrated (C–S–H). The results show that the strength of CTB increases initially and then decreases with FA dosage, and the FA supplement leads to a decrease in Ca(OH)2 diffraction intensity and Ca/Si ratio around the FA particles. XRD and SEM–EDS findings show that the Ca/Si ratio of C–S–H decreases with the progression of hydration. The FA-CSH model indicates that FA can reinforce the silica chain of C–S–H to increase the matrix strength. However, this enhancement is weakened by supplementing excessive FA dosage. In addition, the hydrogen bonds among water molecules deteriorate, reducing the matrix strength. A low Ca/Si ratio results in an increase in water molecules and a decrease in the ionic bonds combined with Ca2+. The hydrogen bonds among water molecules cannot withstand high stresses, resulting in a reduction in strength. The water absorption of the FA-CSH model is negatively correlated with the FA dosage and Ca/Si ratio. The use of optimal FA dosage and Ca/Si ratio leads to suitable water absorption, which further affects the failure mode of FA-CSH. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The effect of different pedestrian densities (0.2, 0.5, 1, 1.5 and 4.6 persons/m2) on a pedestrian bridge is studied, the comfort level is evaluated according to the acceleration peak, and the most sensitive part of the acceleration response employs tuned mass dampers (TMDs) for vibration control. The study shows that the bearing capacity level of the pedestrian bridge with articulated piers meets the standard. Compared with a pier rigid connection system, the structural dynamic characteristics of pier articulation do not change much, and the vertical frequency and peak acceleration in the span are slightly smaller. The comfort evaluation results of the bridge with articulated piers are the same as those of the bridge with a rigid pier. The TMD setting can effectively reduce the human-induced vibration time response, the vibration reduction efficiency can reach 52%, and the comfort level changes from CL2 to CL1 after vibration reduction. Model predictive control is widely used in the design of autonomous driving algorithms. However, its parameters are sensitive to dynamically varying driving conditions, making it difficult to be implemented into practice. As a result, this study presents a self-learning algorithm based on reinforcement learning to tune a model predictive controller. Specifically, the proposed algorithm is used to extract features of dynamic traffic scenes and adjust the weight coefficients of the model predictive controller. In this method, a risk threshold model is proposed to classify the risk level of the scenes based on the scene features, and aid in the design of the reinforcement learning reward function and ultimately improve the adaptability of the model predictive controller to real-world scenarios. The proposed algorithm is compared to a pure model predictive controller in car-following case. According to the results, the proposed method enables autonomous vehicles to adjust the priority of performance indices reasonably in different scenarios according to risk variations, showing a good scenario adaptability with safety guaranteed.
