The treatment and resource utilization of municipal sludge and dredged silt have been rendered urgent by the acceleration of urbanization and stricter environmental protection demands. An effective solution was developed to address the challenges of poor mechanical properties and the difficulty in directly using cement-based materials for municipal sludge treatment. The utilization of dredged silt with high water content served as the foundational skeleton material. Appropriate proportion (0.5:1.0) of sodium silicate, which accelerates cement hardening, and polyurethane, which facilitates chemical bond cooperation, was combined to form SP material, partially replacing cement. Unconfined compressive strength (UCS) tests were subsequently conducted on the solidified municipal sludge. These tests aimed to investigate the influence of the dredged silt mixing ratio, initial water content of dredged silt, and the SP mixing ratio on the strength of the solidified municipal sludge. Furthermore, a strength prediction model was established for solidified municipal sludge, taking into consideration the mixing ratios of dredged silt and SP. The research findings indicate that dredged silt can serve as a skeleton structure for solidified municipal sludge. The UCS of the solidified municipal sludge increases with the increase in the dredged silt mixing ratio, and reaches a maximum value at mixing ratio of 1.0. SP materials can partially replace cement, the appropriate proportion of SP and cement can synergistically improve the strength of solidified municipal sludge, and the optimal SP mixing ratio is 50%. Furthermore, the strength prediction model constructed with independent variables such as dredged silt mixing ratio, curing age, water-to-cement ratio, and SP mixing ratio demonstrates better predictability for the strength development of solidified municipal sludge. In women of childbearing age, extensive decidualization, shedding and remodeling of the endometrium during the menstrual cycle are fundamental for successful pregnancy. The role of prostaglandins (PGs) in menstruation has long been proposed in humans, and the rate-limiting enzyme cyclooxygenase was shown to play a key role in endometrial breakdown and shedding in a mouse menstrual-like model in our previous study. However, the specific types of PGs involved and their respective roles remain unclear. Therefore, our objective was to investigate the mechanism through which PGs regulate endometrial disintegration. In this study, the microscopy was observed by HE; the protein levels of prostaglandins E1 (PGE1), prostaglandins E2 (PGE2), prostaglandin F2α (PGF2α) and Prostaglandin I2 (PGI2) were detected by ELISA; the mRNA level of Pfgfr2, Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor(Vegf), Angiostatin and Hypoxia inducible factor-1α (Hif1α) were examined by real-time PCR; PTGFR Receptor (PTGFR), VEGF, Angiostatin and HIF-1α protein levels were investigated by western blotting; the locations of protein were observed by Immunohistochemistry; HIF-1α binding PTGFR promoter was detected by Chromatin Immunoprecipitation (ChIP) and real-time PCR. We found that the concentrations of PGE1, PGE2, and PGF2α all increased significantly during this process. Furthermore, Ptgfr mRNA increased soon after Progesterone (P4) withdrawal, and PTGFR protein levels increased significantly during abundant endometrial breakdown and shedding processes. PTGFR inhibitors AL8810 significantly suppressed endometrial breakdown and shedding, promoted Angiostatin expression, and reduced VEGF-A expressions and vascular permeability. And HIF-1α and PTGFR were mainly located in the luminal/gland epithelium, vascular endothelium, and pre-decidual zone. Interestingly, HIF-1α directly bound to Ptgfr promoter. Moreover, a HIF-1α inhibitor 2-methoxyestradiol (2ME) significantly reduced PTGFR expression and suppressed endometrial breakdown which was in accord with PTGFR inhibitor's effect. Similar changes occurred in human stromal cells relevant to menstruation in vitro. Endometrial damage repair disorder is the main reason of intrauterine adhesions (IUA) and thin endometrium (TA), which is caused by curettage or infection. Exosomal miRNAs derived from human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (hucMSCs) were reported to play an important role in damage repair disorder, including endometrial fibrosis. In this study, we aimed to investigate the role of hucMSCs-derived exosomal microRNA-202-3p (miR-202-3p) in endometrial damage repair. We established rat endometrial injury model according to curettage to mimic women curettage abortion operation. The miRNA array analysis indicated that miR-202-3p was increased and matrix metallopeptidase 11 (MMP11) was decreased in the exosomes-treated rat uterine tissues. Bioinformatics analysis suggested that MMP11 is the target gene of miR-202-3p. We observed that the mRNA and protein of MMP11 were significantly decreased in exosome treatment group on day 3, and the components of extracellular matrix (ECM) COL1A1, COL3A1, COLVI and fibronectin (FN) protein were increased. And we found that when the injured human stromal cells were treated with miR-202-3p overexpression exosomes, the COLVI and FN were also upregulated in protein and mRNA expression level. For the first time MMP11 was proved to be the target gene of miR-202-3p by dual luciferase reporter system. At last, we found the state of stromal cells was better in miR-202-3p overexpression exosomes group compared to exosomes group, and miR-202-3p overexpression exosomes markedly upregulated the FN and collagen on day 3 after endometrial injury. We thought that miR-202-3p overexpression exosomes promoted endometrial repair by regulating ECM remodeling in early repair of damaged endometrium. Good endometrium is the prerequisite and guarantee for reproduction and maternal and child health. Endometrial injury caused by operation or non-operation can lead to menstrual irregularities, amenorrhea, abortion, infertility, and other gynecological diseases to bother women. Intrauterine adhesions (IUA) and thin endometrium are common diseases caused by abnormal repair after endometrium damage. The incidence of IUA is not low after uterine operative surgery, and the recurrence is pretty high after uterine adhesiolysis. At present, there were many methods for endometrial repair in clinic or in the laboratory, but the efficacy was different from methods to methods. They are mainly including estrogen therapy, stem cell therapy, complementary medicine therapy, and some physical barrier therapy. In order to guide the effective repair and regeneration of endometrium in clinic, this paper reviews the merit and demerit of these methods for endometrium regeneration and repair that have been proved to be effective in experiments and clinical in recent years. Agricultural mulch film pollution has become a prevailing concern. Studies have shown that the thickness of mulch film is a key factor affecting mulch film recycling, but research about farmers' choice on mulch film thickness is lacking. Based on survey data from 2025 households in five Chinese provinces in 2018, the Heckman two-stage model was used to analyze the influencing factors of farmers' choice on mulch film thicknesses. Mulch film had been used by 21.98% of the sample households, and 41.47% of the used mulch film did not meet the national thickness standard. The econometric results showed that farmers' product cognition and market factors were the two most important factors, and there was a significant negative correlation with the choice of film thickness. In addition, the choice of mulch film with different thicknesses was affected by household characteristics, subjective norms, and farmland property rights. Strengthening and stabilizing farmland property rights is a long-term mechanism to promote farmers to choose thicker mulch film. In addition to strengthening the production and sale of substandard film supervision, farmers' choice of film thickness should be included in village regulations and other rural grass-roots governance systems, especially in the mechanism design between agricultural farmland protective subsidies and the prevention of mulch film pollution, rather than just considering the recycling itself. Pollution control policies have achieved remarkable results in China. However, industrial firms still lack enthusiasm for technological innovation to reduce pollution and endogenous motivation for controlling pollution, which pose severe obstacles to industrial pollution control. The top-runner scheme can stimulate the pollution control behaviors of firms to a certain extent. Therefore, the top-runner scheme is combined with economic incentive policies to design an appropriate incentive scheme in this paper, theoretical research is conducted on the selection standards and incentive methods, and four industries mainly responsible for pollution in a developed province of China are investigated as case studies. The results show that (1) the selection standard that stipulates the rewarded quotas instead of the discharge amount achieved higher emission reduction efficiency; (2) tax cuts are the best incentive for top-runners, and (3) the top-runner incentive scheme achieves a greater reduction effect in high-pollution industries than low-pollution industries. Value-added tax exemption for the top-runner, as determined by the rewarded quotas, contributes to increasing the enthusiasm from firms to participate in and improve pollution control measures. Introduction: Splenectomy and splenic artery embolization are major treatment options for hypersplenism and portal hypertension in liver cirrhosis, but may lead to splanchnic vein thrombosis (SVT), which is potentially lethal. We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to explore the incidence of SVT in liver cirrhosis after splenectomy or splenic artery embolization and the risk factors for SVT.Methods: All relevant studies were searched through the PubMed, EMBASE, and Cochrane Library databases. The incidence of SVT in liver cirrhosis after splenectomy or splenic artery embolization was pooled. Odds ratios (ORs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated.Results: Sixty-six studies with 5632 patients with cirrhosis were included. The pooled incidence of SVT after splenectomy and splenic artery embolization was 24.6% (95% CI 20.2-29.3%) and 11.7% (95% CI 7.1-17.3%), respectively. A meta-analysis of three comparative studies demonstrated that the incidence of SVT after splenectomy was statistically similar to that after splenic artery embolization (OR 3.15, P = 0.290). Platelet count, mean platelet volume, preoperative splenic or portal vein diameter, preoperative or postoperative portal blood velocity, splenic volume and weight, and periesophagogastric devascularization were significant risk factors for SVT after splenectomy. Postoperative use of preventive antithrombotic therapy was a significant protective factor against SVT after splenectomy.Conclusions: SVT is common in liver cirrhosis after splenectomy and splenic artery embolization. Coagulation and hemostasis factors, anatomical factors, and surgery-related factors have been widely identified for the assessment of high risk of SVT after splenectomy. Introduction: Benefit and risk of anticoagulation in cirrhotic patients with portal vein thrombosis (PVT) remain controversial, especially in those with asymptomatic PVT and in non-liver transplant candidates. Furthermore, the predictors of portal vein recanalization and bleeding events after anticoagulation are critical for making clinical decisions, but still unclear. We conducted a meta-analysis to investigate the outcomes of anticoagulation for PVT in liver cirrhosis and explore the predictors of portal vein recanalization and bleeding events after anticoagulation.Methods: All studies regarding anticoagulation for PVT in liver cirrhosis were searched via PubMed, EMBASE, and Cochrane Library databases. Thrombotic outcomes, bleeding events, and survival were compared between anticoagulation and non-anticoagulation groups. Predictors of portal vein recanalization and bleeding events were pooled. Risk ratios (RRs) or mean differences (MDs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated.Results: Thirty-three studies including 1696 cirrhotic patients with PVT were included. Anticoagulation significantly increased portal vein recanalization (RR = 2.61; 95% CI 1.99-3.43; P < 0.00001) and overall survival (RR = 1.11; 95% CI 1.03-1.21; P = 0.01) and decreased thrombus progression (RR = 0.26; 95% CI 0.14-0.49; P < 0.0001). Anticoagulation did not significantly influence overall bleeding (RR = 0.78; 95% CI 0.47-1.30; P = 0.34). Early initiation of anticoagulation (RR = 1.58; 95% CI 1.21-2.07; P = 0.0007) significantly increased portal vein recanalization. Child-Pugh class B and C (RR = 0.77; 95% CI 0.62-0.95; P = 0.02) and higher MELD score (MD = - 1.48; 95% CI - 2.20-0.76; P < 0.0001) were significantly associated with decreased portal vein recanalization. No predictor significantly associated with bleeding events was identified.Conclusions: Early initiation of anticoagulation should be supported in liver cirrhosis with PVT. Predictors of portal vein recanalization should be taken into consideration to identify those who may not benefit from anticoagulation.Registration: The work was registered in PROSPERO with registration no. Background: Acute gastrointestinal bleeding (GIB) rapidly reduces effective blood volume, thereby precipitating acute kidney injury (AKI). Terlipressin, which can induce splanchnic vasoconstriction and increase renal perfusion, has been recommended for acute GIB and hepatorenal syndrome in liver cirrhosis. Thus, we hypothesized that terlipressin might be beneficial for cirrhotic patients with acute GIB and renal impairment. Methods: In this Chinese multi-center study, 1644 cirrhotic patients with acute GIB were retrospectively enrolled. AKI was defined according to the International Club of Ascites (ICA) criteria. Renal dysfunction was defined as serum creatinine (sCr) > 133 μmol/L at admission and/or any time point during hospitalization. Incidence of renal impairment and in-hospital mortality were the primary end-points. Results: The incidence of any stage ICA-AKI, ICA-AKI stages 1B, 2, and 3, and renal dysfunction in cirrhotic patients with acute GIB was 7.1%, 1.8%, and 5.0%, respectively. The in-hospital mortality was significantly increased by renal dysfunction (14.5% vs. 2.2%, P < 0.001) and ICA-AKI stages 1B, 2, and 3 (11.1% vs. 2.8%, P = 0.011), but not any stage ICA-AKI (5.7% vs. 2.7%, P = 0.083). The in-hospital mortality was significantly decreased by terlipressin in patients with renal dysfunction (3.6% vs. 20.0%, P = 0.044), but not in those with any stage ICA-AKI (4.5% vs. 6.0%, P = 0.799) or ICA-AKI stages 1B, 2, and 3 (0.0% vs. 14.3%, P = 0.326). Conclusion: Renal dysfunction increased the in-hospital mortality of cirrhotic patients with acute GIB. Introduction: Occlusive portal venous system thrombosis (PVT) is significantly associated with poor outcomes in cirrhotic patients. Nonselective β-blockers (NSBBs) may be associated with the development of PVT. However, the role of NSBBs in progressing thrombosis remains unclear.Methods: Forty-three patients on whom contrast-enhanced computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging was performed twice, and for whom there was detailed information regarding NSBBs, were eligible in this study, including 16 in the NSBBs group and 27 in the no NSBBs group. A composite endpoint of progressing thrombosis included the development of PVT in patients without PVT and aggravation of PVT in patients with PVT. Logistic regression analysis was employed to identify the effect of NSBBs on the progression of PVT.Results: At the last admission, 13 patients had progressing thrombosis. The incidence of progressing thrombosis was significantly higher in the NSBBs group than in the no NSBBs group [50.0% (8/16) vs. 18.5% (5/27), P = 0.030]. The use of NSBBs (odds ratio 4.400, 95% confidence interval 1.107-17.482, P = 0.035) was significantly associated with progressing thrombosis in univariate logistic regression analyses, but not significant (odds ratio 4.084, 95% confidence interval 0.488-34.158, P = 0.194) in multivariate logistic regression analyses.Conclusions: NSBBs may play a role in the progression of PVT in liver cirrhosis. Portal vein thrombosis (PVT), which is associated with reduced portal vein velocity, is considered to be an indicator for worse outcomes in liver cirrhosis. Nonselective beta-blockers (NSBBs), which are widely used for primary and secondary prophylaxis of esophageal variceal bleeding in liver cirrhosis, can significantly decrease the portal vein velocity. We proposed a hypothesis that the use of NSBBs might facilitate the development of PVT in cirrhotic patients. The PubMed, EMBASE, and Cochrane Library databases were searched. Major meeting abstracts and randomized-controlled trials regarding the use of NSBBs in liver cirrhosis were also hand-searched. The number of patients who developed PVT in groups treated with or without NSBBs was pooled. Odds ratios (ORs) or risk ratios (RRs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated. Subgroup meta-analyses were performed according to the type of studies, region, and study quality. Meta-regression and sensitivity analyses were performed to explore the source of heterogeneity. Nine of the 6416 retrieved papers were finally included. Overall, meta-analysis demonstrated that NSBBs were significantly associated with the development of PVT (OR 4.62, 95% CI 2.50–8.53; p < 0.00001). The heterogeneity was statistically significant (I2 = 80%; p < 0.00001). Subgroup meta-analyses still demonstrated a significantly positive association of NSBBs with the development of PVT in cohort studies (RR 2.57, 95% CI 1.46–4.51; p = 0.001) and case–control studies (OR 8.17, 95% CI 2.46–27.06; p = 0.0006). Sensitivity analyses based on subgroups find the source of heterogeneity. The development of biogas programs in rural China has led to great economic, social, ecological and environmental benefits. The focus of this study was the identification of the benefit relationship for various stakeholders via the evaluation of relevant policies, an analysis of the costs and benefits and an estimation of the environmental benefits of the livestock manure utilization in a biogas power generation company (BPGC) in Zhejiang province. The results demonstrated that the net present value (NPV) of the project was 8.85 million dollar, and the internal rate of return (IRR) was 36%. Compared to current projects, the BPGC had a higher investment potentiality. The annual environmental benefits of chemical oxygen demand and NH3-N reduction are 2.61 million dollar and 0.21 million dollar, respectively. The environmental benefits of the reduction of greenhouse gas emission is 1.54 million dollar/a. When the environmental benefits were considered in the cost-benefit analysis, the NPV of the project was 42.01 million dollar, and the IRR was 123.98%, and the BPGC exhibited significant social benefits.
