Abstract The impact of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) traits on suicidal thoughts and behaviors (STBs) remains inadequately explored. Hence, the present study aims to delve deeper into these intricate issues, contributing to a better understanding of these complex challenges among Chinese youth. The data of 90,882 participants was collected from 63 Chinese universities and colleges in Jilin, China. We aim to explore the risks of STBs on ASD, ADHD, and co-occurrence of ASD + ADHD by using the Autism Spectrum Quotient-10 items (AQ-10) and Adult ADHD Self Report Scale (ASRS). Abstract The hematopoietic system is a distributed tissue that consists of functionally distinct cell types continuously produced through hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) differentiation. Combining genomic and phenotypic data with high‐content experiments, we have built a directional cell–cell communication network between 12 cell types isolated from human umbilical cord blood. Network structure analysis revealed that ligand production is cell type dependent, whereas ligand binding is promiscuous. Consequently, additional control strategies such as cell frequency modulation and compartmentalization were needed to achieve specificity in HSC fate regulation. Incorporating the in vitro effects (quiescence, self‐renewal, proliferation, or differentiation) of 27 HSC binding ligands into the topology of the cell–cell communication network allowed coding of cell type‐dependent feedback regulation of HSC fate. Pathway enrichment analysis identified intracellular regulatory motifs enriched in these cell type‐ and ligand‐coupled responses. This study uncovers cellular mechanisms of hematopoietic cell feedback in HSC fate regulation, provides insight into the design principles of the human hematopoietic system, and serves as a foundation for the analysis of intercellular regulation in multicellular systems.

G protein alpha q subunit (Gαq) can binds to the G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) for signaling and is closely related to lipid metabolism. Endurance exercise is an effective means of combating acquired obesity and its complications, but the mechanisms by which endurance exercise modulates hereditary obesity and its complications are unknown. In this study, we achieved knockdown of Gαq in drosophila adipose tissue and skeletal muscle by constructing the Gαq-UAS-RNAi/Ppl-Gal4 and Gαq-UAS-RNAi/Mef2-GAl4 systems. Drosophila were subjected a three-week endurance exercise intervention, and changes in relevant indicators were detected and observed by RT-PCR, ELISA, oil red staining, immunofluorescence staining, and transmission electron microscopy. The results showed that knockdown of Gαq in both adipose tissue and skeletal muscle induced a significant increase in triglycerides accompanied by a decrease in rapid climbing ability, a decrease in Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) activity level, and a decrease in Mitochondrial respiratory chain complexI (MRCC I) content in Drosophila whole body and skeletal muscle, and down-regulated the expression of the G protein alpha q subunit (Gαq), the skeletal muscle myosin heavy chain expression gene (Mhc), mitochondrial biogenesis gene Spargal(the PGC-1alpha homologue in Drosophila). Endurance exercise significantly improved the triglyceride levels in the whole body and skeletal muscle of drosophila with Gαq knockdown in adipose tissue and skeletal muscle, as well as their ability to climb, increased SOD activity level and MRCCI content level, and up-regulated the expression of Gαq, Mhc, and Spargal(Srl). Thus, the present findings suggest that genetic defects in the Gαq gene in adipose and skeletal muscle tissues induce hereditary obesity and skeletal muscle dysfunction, and that endurance exercise attenuates this hereditary obesity and concomitant skeletal muscle dysfunction in drosophila by improving skeletal muscle fiber contractile proteins, mitochondrial function and function, and antioxidant capacity via mediating the Gαq/Mhc, Gαq/Srl/MRCC-I, and Gαq/SOD pathways. The electrocatalytic reduction of nitrate toward ammonia under mild conditions addresses many challenges of the Haber-Bosch reaction, providing a sustainable method for ammonia synthesis, yet it is limited by sluggish reduction kinetics and multiple competing reactions. Here, the titanium hydride electrocatalyst is synthesized by electrochemical hydrogenation reconstruction of titanium fiber paper, which achieves a large ammonia yield rate of 83.64 mg h−1 cm−2 and a high Faradaic efficiency of 99.11% with an ampere-level current density of 1.05 A cm−2 at −0.7 V versus the reversible hydrogen electrode. Electrochemical evaluation and kinetic studies indicate that the lattice hydrogen transfer from titanium hydride promotes the electrocatalytic performance of nitrate reduction reaction and the reversible equilibrium reaction between lattice hydrogen and activate hydrogen not only improves the electrocatalytic activity of nitrate reduction reaction but also demonstrates notable catalytic stability. These finding offers a universal design principle for metal hydrides as catalysts for effectively electrochemical ammonia production, highlighting their potential for sustainable ammonia synthesis. Background: Sitravatinib is a spectrum-selective tyrosine kinase inhibitor targeting TAM (TYRO3, AXL, MER), VEGFR-2, KIT, and MET. SAFFRON-104 (NCT03941873) was a multicohort phase Ib/II study investigating sitravatinib with/without tislelizumab, an anti-programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) antibody, in patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) or gastric cancer/gastroesophageal junction cancer (GC/GEJC). Methods: Eligible patients had histologically/cytologically confirmed advanced HCC or GC/GEJC. Phase I determined the recommended phase II dose (RP2D) of sitravatinib with/without tislelizumab. Phase II evaluated sitravatinib monotherapy in patients with pretreated HCC, and sitravatinib plus tislelizumab in anti-PD-(L)1–naïve or –treated HCC and anti-PD-(L)1–naïve GC/GEJC. Primary endpoints were safety/tolerability (phase I) and objective response rate (ORR) (phase II). Results: At data cutoff (March 31, 2023), 111 patients were enrolled; 102 were efficacy-evaluable (median study follow-up 9.1 months [range: 0.7–36.9]). The RP2D of sitravatinib was determined as 120 mg orally once daily. In patients receiving sitravatinib monotherapy and sitravatinib in combination with tislelizumab, grade ≥ 3 treatment-related adverse events occurred in 14 (51.9%) and 42 (50.0%) patients, respectively. The ORR was 25% (95% confidence interval [CI]: 8.7–49.1) in patients with pretreated HCC receiving sitravatinib monotherapy. In patients receiving sitravatinib with tislelizumab, the ORR was 11.5% (95% CI 2.4–30.2) with anti-PD-(L)1–naïve HCC, 9.5% (95% CI 1.2–30.4) with anti-PD-(L)1–treated HCC, and 16.1% (95% CI 5.5–33.7) in patients with anti-PD-(L)1–naïve GC/GEJC. The ancient Yi script has been used for over 8000 years, which can be ranked with Oracle,Sumerian,Egyptian,Mayan and Harappan,and is one of the six ancient scripts in the world. In this article, we collected 2922 handwritten single word samples of commonly used ancient Yi characters. Each character was written by 310 people respectively, with a total of 427,939 valid characters. We completed continuous handwritten text sampling, written by 250 people, with 5 texts per person, covering topics such as Yi astronomy, geography, rituals, and agriculture. In the process of data collection, we proposed an automatic sampling method for ancient Yi script, and completed the automatic cutting and labeling of handwritten samples. Furthermore, we tested the recognition performance of the sorted data set under different deep learning network models. The results show that ancient Yi script has diverse shape structures and rich writing styles, which can be used as a benchmark data set in related fields such as handwritten text recognition and handwritten text generation. The abrasive water-jet (AWJ) erosion process involves the complex interaction between fluid medium, abrasive particles and solid material, which brings great challenges to the establishment of numerical model. Because traditional grid-based methods are not suitable for the problems of local deformation and material removal, the meshfree method smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH), based on the unresolved coupling and the discrete element method (DEM), is adopted to establish the model for AWJ study. The fluid medium is treated as a weakly compressible viscous liquid, the solid material is treated as an elastic-plastic material, and the abrasives are treated as rigid bodies. The fluid and solid phases are discretized with SPH particles, and the abrasives are described with DEM particles. The Johnson-Cook (J-C) and Johnson-Holmquist-II (JH-2) constitutive models are used to describe the stress-strain behavior of ductile and brittle materials, respectively. The effectiveness of the numerical model is further verified by AWJ impact experiments. The plastic deformation and cumulative failure characteristics of ductile materials, and the crack formation and propagation characteristics of brittle materials are systematically analyzed. Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) oblique photogrammetry has been extensively employed in mining, albeit predominantly for reconstructing three-dimensional scenes and detecting changes within mining sites, lacking predictive capabilities. Leveraging 3D real scene model data, this study presents a two-stage prediction model, merging the probabilistic integral method with recurrent neural network (PIMF-RNN), to mitigate the impact of internal and external factors on surface subsidence, thereby enhancing predictive accuracy. Building upon this framework, a methodology was developed to forecast the maximum surface subsidence height and affected area under the block caving method, offering crucial data support for mitigating hazards associated with this mining technique. Analysis of surface data from Pulang copper mine during 2018–2020 demonstrates a prediction accuracy of 91.47% for maximum surface subsidence height and 87.52% for subsidence area. This research expands the potential applications of UAV oblique photogrammetry techniques within mining contexts. The most common type of non-small cell lung cancer is lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), which is characterized by high morbidity and poor survival. Up-regulation of SASS6 expression can lead to the progression of various malignant tumors. However, there are no relevant studies on the role of SASS6 in LUAD. SASS6 was highly expressed in most tumors, reflecting a good diagnostic value, and its overexpression in LUAD indicated discouraging overall prognosis. Functional enrichment analysis suggested that SASS6 was associated with cell cycle in LUAD. In addition, patients with high SASS6 expression had worse immune infiltration, but higher TMB and immune checkpoint, and higher sensitivity to multiple targeted drugs such as osimertinib. Cell experiments confirmed that knockdown of SASS6 could inhibit the viability of tumor cells.SASS6 has important value in the diagnosis of cancer. The human thermal stress indices and datasets are vital for promoting public health and reducing negative environmental impacts as global climate change and extreme meteorological events increase. The current thermal indices generally use an instantaneous or average value to describe thermal stress which cannot reflect the distribution of thermal comfort conditions over time, and there are no global-scale thermal stress datasets with both 0.1° or higher spatial resolution and hourly temporal resolution available yet. A novel human thermal metric, Thermal Stress Duration (TSD), is proposed to represent the accumulative time of different thermal stress levels within a certain period. A high temporal resolution global gridded dataset of human thermal stress metrics (HiGTS) is presented, which consists of hourly gridded maps of Universal Thermal Climate Index (UTCI), Universal Thermal Stress (UTS), and daily TSD at 0.1° × 0.1° spatial resolution over the global land surface, spanning from January 1, 2000, to December 31, 2023. Retained fetal membranes (RFM) is an important reproductive disease in dairy cows, caused by maternal and fetal placental tissue adhesion. The main collagen in maternal and fetal placenta tissues is collagen type IV (COL-IV) and its breakdown is the key to placental expulsion. Focal adhesion kinase (FAK) has been shown to regulate the hydrolysis of Col-IV by affecting the activity of MMP-2 and MMP-9 activity, but the regulation of the mechanisms involved in placenta expulsion in dairy cows after postpartum are still unclear. The aim of this study was to investigate the pathogenic mechanism of RFM by studying the relationship between the FAK signaling pathway and COL-IV regulation. Maternal placental tissues were collected from six healthy and six cows with RFM of similar age, parity, body condition and milk yield at 12 h postpartum. In vitro experiments were performed on bovine endometrial epithelial cells from three groups including a FAK inhibitor group, a FAK activator group and a control group without FAK inhibitor and activator. The abundance of molecules involved in the FAK signaling pathway and COL-IV was detected by immunohistochemistry, quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) and western blot. The immunohistochemical results showed that the key molecules of FAK signaling pathway FAK, Src, MMP-2 and MMP-9 and Col-IV were expressed in placental tissues. The expression level of FAK, Src, MMP-2, and MMP-9 were significantly down-regulated (P < 0.05) and the abundances of COL-IV were significantly up-regulated (P < 0.05) in maternal placental tissues of RFM cows compared with healthy cows. In the FAK inhibitor treatment group, the relative expression levels of FAK and other related proteins were significantly down-regulated (P < 0.05) and the relative expression levels of COL-IV were significantly up-regulated (P < 0.05) with the results of the FAK activation group the opposite. These results indicated that FAK in maternal endometrial epithelial cells could regulate the hydrolysis process of Col-IV through the expression of key factors of signaling pathways and promote collagen hydrolysis, which in turn facilitated the process of postpartum placenta expulsion in dairy cows. Background: Palliation to late dysphagia after radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) continues to be a challenge. Intermittent oro-esophageal tube feeding (IOE) is an emerging enteral nutrition mode that can address nutrition and quality of life issues related to nasogastric tube feeding (NGT). Objectives: This study aims to investigate the effect of IOE versus NGT in late dysphagia after radiotherapy for NPC. Methods: This randomized controlled study included 82 NPC survivors with late dysphagia after radiotherapy. The subjects were randomized divided into the IOE and NGT groups (n1 = n2 = 41). Both groups received standard-of-care rehabilitation. Enteral nutrition supports were administered through IOE or NGT accordingly. This study lasted 2 weeks for each participant. The primary outcome was nutritional status including albumin, hemoglobin, total serum protein, and body mass index. The secondary outcomes were (i) the functional oral intake scale (FOIS), (ii) the penetration-aspiration scale (PAS), (iii) oral transit time (OTT), (iv) hyoid pause time (HPT), (v) pharyngeal transport time (PTT), and (vi) swallowing-quality of life (SWAL-QoL). Results: Three cases quitted the study halfway and there were no significant baseline differences between the IOE (n = 40) and NGT (n = 39) groups. Both time and group effects were significant in all nutritional indicators. The time effect was significant in the FOIS levels, OTT and PTT, while the group effect was not. Either time or group effect were insignificant in the PAS levels and HPT. Both group and time effects were significant in the SWAL-QoL total scores (zGroup = 5.080, P < 0.001; zTime = 18.005, P < 0.001). The significance of time and group effects varied across different dimensions of the SWAL-QoL. Conclusions: Rehabilitation interventions can improve swallowing function among NPC survivors with late dysphagia after radiotherapy. In this population who received standard-of-care rehabilitation, IOE is more conducive to the improvement of nutritional status, and swallowing-related quality of life. Background and objectives: Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) causes profound impairments in neurological function, and a cure for this devastating disease remains elusive. This study aimed to identify pre-disposing genetic, phenotypic, and exposure-related factors for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis using multi-modal data and assess their joint predictive potential. Methods: Utilizing data from the UK (United Kingdom) Biobank, we analyzed an unrelated set of 292 ALS cases and 408,831 controls of European descent. Two polygenic risk scores (PRS) are constructed: "GWAS Hits PRS" and "PRS-CS," reflecting oligogenic and polygenic ALS risk profiles, respectively. Time-restricted phenome-wide association studies (PheWAS) were performed to identify pre-existing conditions increasing ALS risk, integrated into phenotypic risk scores (PheRS). A poly-exposure score ("PXS") captures the influence of environmental exposures measured through survey questionnaires. We evaluate the performance of these scores for predicting ALS incidence and stratifying risk, adjusting for baseline demographic covariates. Results: Both PRSs modestly predicted ALS diagnosis but with increased predictive power when combined (covariate-adjusted receiver operating characteristic [AAUC] = 0.584 [0.525, 0.639]). PheRS incorporated diagnoses 1 year before ALS onset (PheRS1) modestly discriminated cases from controls (AAUC = 0.515 [0.472, 0.564]). The "PXS" did not significantly predict ALS. However, a model incorporating PRSs and PheRS1 improved the prediction of ALS (AAUC = 0.604 [0.547, 0.667]), outperforming a model combining all risk scores. This combined risk score identified the top 10% of risk score distribution with a fourfold higher ALS risk (95% CI [2.04, 7.73]) versus those in the 40%–60% range. Discussion: By leveraging UK Biobank data, our study uncovers pre-disposing ALS factors, highlighting the improved effectiveness of multi-factorial prediction models to identify individuals at highest risk for ALS. Five-axis hybrid robots are more extensively used in the machining of complex parts, owing to their high dynamic performance and flexible attitude adjustment. Ball-end milling is widely employed in sculptured surface machining. The tool orientation can be adjusted for enhanced machining efficiency and superior cutting performance. However, hybrid robots' complex kinematic structures raise challenges to tool orientation planning. To generate a smooth toolpath that has good cutting performance and satisfies all the geometric and mechanical constraints, a tool orientation optimization model is presented. The weighted sum of the joint kinematic performance index and the effective tool diameter indexes are taken as the objective function. By constructing the robot workspace in advance, the computation in the generation of feasible tool orientation regions is reduced. The feasible orientation regions are further simplified as linear inequality constraints which are updated during iteration. In each iteration, the initial nonconvex optimization problem is locally approximated by a convex problem and solved by quadratic programming (QP). Lactate has a novel function different from previously known functions despite its traditional association with hypoxia in skeletal muscle. It plays various direct and indirect physiological functions. It is a vital energy source within the central nervous system (CNS) and a signal transmitter regulating crucial processes, such as angiogenesis and inflammation. Activating lactate and its associated receptors elicits effects like synaptic plasticity and angiogenesis alterations. These effects can significantly influence the astrocyte-neuron lactate shuttle, potentially impacting cognitive performance. Decreased cognitive function relates to different neurodegenerative conditions, including Alzheimer's disease (AD), ischemic brain injury, and frontotemporal dementia. Therefore, lactic acid has significant potential for treating neurodegenerative disorders. Exercise is a method that induces the production of lactic acid, which is similar to the effect of lactate injections. It is a harmless and natural way to achieve comparable results. Animal experiments demonstrate that high-intensity intermittent exercise can increase vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) levels, thus promoting angiogenesis. In vivo, lactate receptor-hydroxycarboxylic acid receptor 1 (HCAR1) activation can occur by various stimuli, including variations in ion concentrations, cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) level elevations, and fluctuations in the availability of energy substrates. While several articles have been published on the benefits of physical activity on developing Alzheimer's disease in the CNS, could lactic acid act as a bridge? Understanding how HCAR1 responds to these signals and initiates associated pathways remains incomplete. This review comprehensively analyzes lactate-induced signaling pathways, investigating their influence on neuroinflammation, neurodegeneration, and cognitive decline. The accumulation of α-synuclein induces neuronal loss in midbrain nuclei and leads to the disruption of motor circuits, while the pathology of α-synuclein in cortical regions remains elusive. To better characterize cortical synucleinopathy, here we generate a mouse model with the overexpression of human α-synuclein in the primary motor cortex (M1) of mice. A combination of molecular, in vivo recording, and behavioral approaches reveal that cortical expression of human α-synuclein results in the overexcitation of cortical pyramidal neurons (PNs), which are regulated by the decreased inhibitory inputs from parvalbumin-interneurons (PV-INs) to impair complex motor skill learning. Further mechanistic dissections reveal that human α-synuclein aggregation activates ferroptosis, contributing to PV-IN degeneration and motor circuit dysfunction. Taken together, the current study adds more knowledge to the emerging role and pathogenic mechanism of ferroptosis in neurodegenerative diseases. Tibetan Buddhist monasteries constitute significant cultural heritages of ethnic minorities, evolving into the Principal-Subordinate Monastery System (PSMS) with profound historical and cultural significance. This system exhibits an integrated hierarchical structure in terms of religious dominance, political administration, and cultural diffusion. Existing research primarily focuses on internal humanistic factors such as governance patterns, while there is not any research focused on its patterns and manifestations in spatial distribution. This study aims to elucidate the spatial distribution characteristics of the PSMS in Hehuang region, including the Tibetan Buddhist monasteries from all sects in the Hehuang region since the Song Dynasty It establishes a hierarchical PSMS database based on the affiliation relationships, aimed at storing spatial and property information related to PSMS. The database standardizes the naming and coding of monasteries, and classifies them through hierarchical relationships to ensure data consistency and usability. Finally, the classified and coded monastery data were analyzed by GIS tools to form the PSMS spatial distribution characterisation framework. Results reveal that (1) Monasteries demonstrate notable spatial clustering patterns from both holistic and sectarian perspectives, with density being influenced by the principal monastery's position. (2) Almost every PSMS exhibits a spatial pattern centered around the principal monastery, with subordinate monasteries clustering within a defined range correlated with the administrative region of the principal monastery. (3) PSMS scale variations are controlled by principal monasteries, exhibiting positive correlations in hierarchical structure, control quantity, and distribution range. (4) The spatial orientation of PSMS correlates with river distribution, while the relationships among mountain ranges require further investigation. These findings provide initial insights into the spatial distribution characteristics of PSMS, confirming the spatial influence of the principal monastery. Besides, this study established an innovative spatial research framework for heritage clusters with multiple types and hierarchies. The question of whether artificial intelligence (AI) can surpass human capabilities is crucial in the application of AI in clinical medicine. To explore this, an interpretable deep learning (DL) model was developed to assess myopia status using retinal refraction maps obtained with a novel peripheral refractor. The DL model demonstrated promising performance, achieving an AUC of 0.9074 (95% CI 0.83–0.97), an accuracy of 0.8140 (95% CI 0.70–0.93), a sensitivity of 0.7500 (95% CI 0.51–0.90), and a specificity of 0.8519 (95% CI 0.68–0.94). Grad-CAM analysis provided interpretable visualization of the attention of DL model and revealed that the DL model utilized information from the central retina, similar to human readers. Additionally, the model considered information from vertical regions across the central retina, which human readers had overlooked. This finding suggests that AI can indeed surpass human capabilities, bolstering our confidence in the use of AI in clinical practice, especially in new scenarios where prior human knowledge is limited. This paper focuses on investigating the optimal actuator location for achieving minimum norm controls in the context of approximate controllability for degenerate parabolic equations. We propose a formulation of the optimization problem that encompasses both the actuator location and its associated minimum norm control. Feature-preserving mesh denoising has received noticeable attention in visual media, with the aim of recovering high-fidelity, clean mesh shapes from the ones that are contaminated by noise. Existing denoising methods often design smaller weights for anisotropic surfaces and larger weights for isotropic surfaces in order to preserve sharp features, such as edges or corners, on the mesh shapes. However, they often disregard the fact that such small weights on anisotropic surfaces still pose negative impacts on the denoising outcomes and detail preservation results on the shapes. In this paper, we propose a novel segmentation-driven mesh denoising method which performs region-wise denoising, and thus avoids the disturbance of anisotropic neighbour faces for better feature preservation results. Also, our backbone can be easily embedded into commonly used mesh denoising frameworks. Recent video text spotting methods usually require the three-staged pipeline, i.e., detecting text in individual images, recognizing localized text, tracking text streams with post-processing to generate final results. The previous methods typically follow the tracking-by-match paradigm and develop sophisticated pipelines, which is an not effective solution. In this paper, rooted in Transformer sequence modeling, we propose a simple, yet effective end-to-end trainable video text DEtection, Tracking, and Recognition framework (TransDeTR), which views the VTS task as a direct long-range temporal modeling problem. TransDeTR mainly includes two advantages: (1) Different from the explicit match paradigm in the adjacent frame, the proposed TransDeTR tracks and recognizes each text implicitly by the different query termed 'text query' over long-range temporal sequence (more than 7 frames). (2) TransDeTR is the first end-to-end trainable video text spotting framework, which simultaneously addresses the three sub-tasks (e.g., text detection, tracking, recognition). Extensive experiments on four video text datasets (e.g., ICDAR2013 Video, ICDAR2015 Video) are conducted to demonstrate that TransDeTR achieves state-of-the-art performance with up to 11.0 % improvements on detection, tracking, and spotting tasks. Background: The long-term survival benefit of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in neoadjuvant and adjuvant settings is unclear for colorectal cancers (CRC) and gastric cancers (GC) with deficiency of mismatch repair (dMMR) or microsatellite instability-high (MSI-H). Methods: This retrospective study enrolled patients with dMMR/MSI-H CRC and GC who received at least one dose of neoadjuvant ICIs (neoadjuvant cohort, NAC) or adjuvant ICIs (adjuvant cohort, AC) at 17 centers in China. Patients with stage IV disease were also eligible if all tumor lesions were radically resectable. Results: In NAC (n = 124), objective response rates were 75.7% and 55.4%, respectively, in CRC and GC, and pathological complete response rates were 73.4% and 47.7%, respectively. The 3-year disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) rates were 96% (95%CI 90–100%) and 100% for CRC (median follow-up [mFU] 29.4 months), respectively, and were 84% (72–96%) and 93% (85–100%) for GC (mFU 33.0 months), respectively. In AC (n = 48), the 3-year DFS and OS rates were 94% (84–100%) and 100% for CRC (mFU 35.5 months), respectively, and were 92% (82–100%) and 96% (88–100%) for GC (mFU 40.4 months), respectively. Among the seven patients with distant relapse, four received dual blockade of PD1 and CTLA4 combined with or without chemo- and targeted drugs, with three partial response and one progressive disease. A dynamic path planning method combining the adaptive potential field with the hierarchical replacement immune algorithm is proposed to realize the optimal navigation path and real-time obstacle avoidance. An improved ant-crawling mechanism, which incorporates the initial pheromones and heuristic information, is designed to achieve the initial population viability. Then to select superior antibodies from this initial population, the elite retention strategy and the roulette approach are applied simultaneously. According to the affinity, the number of antibodies is adaptively adjusted using the novel clone hierarchy model. Meanwhile, a new replacement mutation operator and adaptive replacement probability function are designed to produce better individuals. Finally, an adaptive-potential-field obstacle avoidance strategy is introduced to predict the imminent collision between vehicles and dynamic obstacles and activate the artificial potential field to replan the local path. The experiments prove that the method can improve the quality of the global path and realize real-time dynamic obstacle avoidance to ensure unmanned vehicle safety. The results show that the program running time, convergence iterations and the number of turns can be reduced by 87.35, 64.85 and 18.18%, respectively, in the complex environment. Geometric morphological features significantly influence the shear mechanical properties of rock fractures, which are quantitatively assessed using roughness indicators. However, it remains uncertain whether fractures with identical roughness indicators exhibit similar shear mechanical behavior. This study employed three-dimensional scanning and the roughness index θ*max/(C + 1) to investigate the roughness of fracture profiles oriented differently on the fracture surface. The findings confirm that natural fracture profiles can have similar roughness levels but distinct morphologies. Consequently, a methodology was proposed to construct fractures with identical roughness but differing morphologies, based on 10 fracture profiles exhibiting varying roughness gradients. Numerical models of rough fracture samples were established, and direct shear tests were conducted using the discrete element method (DEM). The results reveal significant variability in shear strength, shear deformation, and macro-microscopic failure characteristics among fracture samples with identical roughness levels. As the θ*max/(C + 1) of fractures increases, more morphological asperities contribute to resisting external shear forces, although both the mean values and variability of shear mechanical indicators across fracture samples demonstrate an increasing trend. The distribution of fracture morphological features notably influences the characteristics of contact force distribution, as well as the scale and orientation of microcrack development within fracture samples. The contribution of different segments of fractures to resisting external shear forces correlates closely with their specific morphological feature distribution, particularly the location where θ*max/(C + 1)​ occurs. Electrocatalytic NO reduction reaction offers a sustainable route to achieving environmental protection and NH3 production targets as well. In this work, a class of dealloyed Ti60Cu33Mn7 ribbons with enough nanoparticles for the high-efficient NO reduction reaction to NH3 is fabricated, reaching an excellent Faradaic efficiency of 93.2% at -0.5 V vs reversible hydrogen electrode and a high NH3 synthesis rate of 717.4 μmol·h-1·mgcat.-1 at -0.6 V vs reversible hydrogen electrode. The formed nanoparticles on the surface of the catalyst could facilitate the exposure of active sites and the transportation of various reactive ions and gases. Meanwhile, the Mn content in the TiCuMn ribbons modulates the chemical and physical properties of its surface, such as modifying the electronic structure of the Cu species, optimizing the adsorption energy of N* atoms, decreasing the strength of the NO adsorption, and eliminating the thermodynamic energy barrier, thus improving the NO reduction reaction catalytic performance. The focus of this paper is on the null controllability of two kinds of coupled systems including both degenerate and non-degenerate equations with switching control. We first establish the observability inequality for measurable subsets in time for such coupled system, and then by the HUM method to obtain the null controllability. Next, we investigate the null controllability of such coupled system for segmented time intervals. Notably, these results are obtained through spectral inequalities rather than using the method of Carleman estimates. Situation assessment is an important basis for achieving autonomous decision-making in air combat. The ever-increasing multi-source fusion information perceived by situation assessment system poses a computational challenge to current airborne equipment. Fuzzy inference method introduced in situation assessment could effectively adapt to the incompleteness and uncertainty of situational information, but still struggling to meet the high-performance requirements under limited hardware resources on airborne equipment. Leveraging hardware accelerators (GPUs, FPGAs, etc.) to accelerate intensive computation like situation factor evaluation has become paramount. In this work, we present a novel air combat situation assessment architecture with multi-level Parallel fuzzy inference system (SAPFIS), which designs the first-ever fuzzy inference accelerator directed by our proposed situation assessment model to accelerate inference computation. Experimental results show that our fuzzy inference accelerator implemented on FPGA achieves 230.48 times of performance speedup and 2053.76 times of inference efficiency ratio improvement over the software solutions on four general computing platforms(e.g., Intel and Phytium platforms) with multi-dimensional test datasets. Tungsten carbide (WC) is one of the most robust mold materials in precision glass molding owing to its excellent hardness at high temperatures. However, the fabrication of a microlens array (MLA) shape on a WC mold is challenging. Electrical discharge machining (EDM) is highly effective in fabricating conductive materials regardless of their hardness. However, due to electrode wear, the machining accuracy and consistency of the MLA are gradually reduced in the EDM process. In this study, a micro copper ball–assembled array electrode (BAAE) was proposed and developed to achieve high efficiency, accuracy, and consistency in MLA mold manufacturing. The copper balls aligned in an array on the position template were used as the electrode to fabricate MLA in EDM. The general calculation method for the maximum service cycles of copper balls was developed to achieve maximum utilization of the copper balls. The in situ rotation of the copper ball updated the processing area, significantly improving the consistency of the lenslet morphology. The effects of two polarity processing were investigated, and the positive processing was chosen. The efficiency of BAAE was significantly improved through the implementation of array alignment and path planning. The effectiveness and efficiency of the ball rotation were confirmed by comparing the lenslet morphology with the ball end–formed electrode. Background and aims: Altitude, season, and slope aspect have significant impacts on bacterial variation in forest soils. However, it is currently unclear which factor has the greatest influence. Methods: Quantitative PCR (qPCR) and high-throughput sequencing were employed to investigate the changes in the bacterial communities with altitude, season and slope aspect in the subtropical forests of Mount Ailao. Results: The effects of altitude, season and slope on bacterial abudance were in the order altitude (η2 = 0.964) > season (η2 = 0.831) > slope (η2 = 0.590). In addition, the bacterial abundance increased with altitude, and the rainy season but not the dry season, the eastern slope rather than the western slope had a higher bacterial abundance. Furthermore, altitude (η2: 0.877–0.942) and season (η2: 0.229–0.761), resulted in higher bacterial α-diversity at low altitudes and in the dry season, respectively. Synergistetes/Verrucomicrobia (low altitude), Acidobacterium (high altitude), Actinobacteria/Planctomycetes (dry season) and Armatipnoadetes (rainy season) were the richest in the soils. Correlation networks showed that bacteria were very stable at higher altitudes and in the dry season. In addition, soil water content, soil organic matter, total nitrogen and ammonium nitrogen were the key edaphic factors significantly affecting the bacterial abundance, α-diversity, and β-diversity. Conclusions: Altitudes rather than seasons and slope aspects had the greatest effect on the bacterial communities in subtropical forests. Therefore, we suggest that altitude, season, and slope aspect be considered necessary factors for comprehensive analysis when studying soil microbial changes in different forests. Cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma in-situ (SCCis) is an intraepithelial tumor with a good prognosis. Standard treatment includes both surgical and non-surgical interventions. We determined the clearance rate for SCCis and residual SCCis identified on frozen section during Mohs micrographic surgery (MMS) after treatment with topical fluorouracil 5% cream (5-FU). All MMS cases were initiated for biopsy-proven invasive squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). A retrospective chart review was conducted from January 2017-February 2024 at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) to identify patients with SCCis who were treated with topical 5-FU as primary therapy or adjuvant therapy (AT) for residual SCCis post-MMS for invasive SCC. 41 patients were included (80% males, 70.1 ± 11.8 years). The average follow-up time for the primary therapy group was 25.4 ± 12.8 months, and for the post-MMS AT group 22.5 ± 11.1 months. In the group treated with topical 5-FU as primary therapy (n = 28), 27 patients (96.43%, 95% confidence interval: 81.65–99.91%) achieved complete clearance. One patient had recurrence at 8 months post-treatment. Of the patients in the post-MMS adjuvant treatment group (n = 13), 12 (92.3% clearance, 95% confidence interval 63.97–99.81%) achieved complete clearance. One patient had recurrence at 8 months post-treatment. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a common neurodevelopmental disorder in children, characterized by social interaction, communication difficulties, and repetitive and stereotyped behaviors. Existing intervention methods have limitations, such as requiring long treatment periods and needing to be more convenient to implement. Extended Reality (XR) technology offers a virtual environment to enhance children's social, communication, and self-regulation skills. This paper compares XR theoretical models, application examples, and intervention effects. The study reveals that XR intervention therapy is mainly based on cognitive rehabilitation, teaching, and social-emotional learning theories. It utilizes algorithms, models, artificial intelligence (AI), eye-tracking, and other technologies for interaction, achieving diverse intervention outcomes. Participants showed effective improvement in competency barriers using XR-based multimodal interactive platforms. However, Mixed Reality (MR) technology still requires further development. Future research should explore multimsodal interaction technologies combining XR and AI, optimize models, prioritize the development of MR intervention scenarios, and sustain an optimal intervention level. Existing deep learning-based point cloud denoising methods are generally trained in a supervised manner that requires clean data as ground-truth labels. However, in practice, it is not always feasible to obtain clean point clouds. In this paper, we introduce a novel unsupervised point cloud denoising method that eliminates the need to use clean point clouds as groundtruth labels during training. We demonstrate that it is feasible for neural networks to only take noisy point clouds as input, and learn to approximate and restore their clean versions. In particular, we generate two noise levels for the original point clouds, requiring the second noise level to be twice the amount of the first noise level. With this, we can deduce the relationship between the displacement information that recovers the clean surfaces across the two levels of noise, and thus learn the displacement of each noisy point in order to recover the corresponding clean point. Comprehensive experiments demonstrate that our method achieves outstanding denoising results across various datasets with synthetic and real-world noise, obtaining better performance than previous unsupervised methods and competitive performance to current supervised methods. A human posture interaction system guaranteed by algorithmic control is proposed to improve the convenience and control accuracy of wheelchairs. Initially, a system is designed based on microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) technology that incorporates a dual-inertial measurement unit to efficiently capture data on the user's body posture. Subsequently, a K-means clustering algorithm is implemented in the system to analyze and recognize the user's body position in real-time. This condition allows the system to deduce the user's intention and react accordingly. Finally, the control system is validated through identification control experiments. High-precision surface of 201 stainless steel obtained by electrochemical micro-machining without or with magnetic field-assisted was studied by combining experiments and simulations. The results demonstrated that the surface roughness of the samples was reduced to 0.40 μm after 18 min electrochemical micro-machining. Besides, the introduction of the magnetic field further improved the surface accuracy and reduced it to 0.20 μm. At the same machining time, the magnetic field-assisted electrochemical micro-machining provided lower surface roughness, which indicated that the magnetic field had a favorable impact on the improvement of machining efficiency. Additionally, the distribution characteristics of magnetic induction lines in the machining gap were also discussed. When the magnetic induction lines were approximately parallel to the anode surface and perpendicular to the electric field, the processing efficiency was further improved. The simulation results showed that the current density on the anode surface and the mass transfer rate of the electrolyte were enhanced by the existence of the magnetic field, which accelerated the electrochemical reaction behavior. The external permanent magnet contributed magnetohydrodynamic force during electrochemical micro-machining promoting the occurrence of magnetohydrodynamic convection. The wearable contact lens that continuously monitors intraocular pressure (IOP) facilitates prompt and early-state medical treatments of oculopathies such as glaucoma, postoperative myopia, etc. However, either taking drugs for pre-treatment or delaying the treatment process in the absence of a neural feedback component cannot realize accurate diagnosis or effective treatment. Herein, a neuroprosthetic contact lens enabled sensorimotor system is reported, which consists of a smart contact lens with Ti3C2Tx Wheatstone bridge structured IOP strain sensor, a Ti3C2Tx temperature sensor and an IOP point-of-care monitoring/display system. The point-of-care IOP monitoring and warning can be realized due to the high sensitivity of 12.52 mV mmHg−1 of the neuroprosthetic contact lens. In vivo experiments on rabbit eyes demonstrate the excellent wearability and biocompatibility of the neuroprosthetic contact lens. Further experiments on a living rate in vitro successfully mimic the biological sensorimotor loop. The leg twitching (larger or smaller angles) of the living rat was demonstrated under the command of motor cortex controlled by somatosensory cortex when the IOP is away from the normal range (higher or lower). Wearable contact lens can be used for health monitoring applications such as intraocular pressure for glaucoma and postoperative myopia. With the prosperity of the private vehicle industry, people can envision that parking spaces will be much scarcer than ever, especially in those central business districts (CBDs). As one of the by-products of the sharing economy, shared parking allows people to rent the idle private parking spaces nearby, balancing the parking demand in different districts. However, renters need to comprehensively measure the cost and the distance between the parking space and the destination, sometimes, in which the additional constraints (e.g. time limitation) make the decision more complicated. To solve the aforementioned challenge, a Genetic Algorithm Based Dynamic Shared Parking method is proposed. Firstly, the framework of parking space sharing for private cars in CBDs is constructed. Then, the approach based on NSGA-III is designed to generate the approximately optimal solution according to current requirements and the situation of idle parking spaces. The experiments investigate the impact of different metrics to the optimization objective in detail and the results of follow-up comparisons indicate that our method effectively saves the cost in shared parking and improves the social benefits. With the rapid development of cloud computing paradigm and mobile devices, the number of cloud services and user interest data are growing explosively. It becomes harder for users to find suitable cloud services within satisfying response time. Thus a suitable cloud service automatic recommendation system is needed to solve the above problem. In this work, we propose KG2Rec, a novel recommendation method based on Knowledge Graph to provide users with appropriate recommendations to meet their real-time needs. The property-specific knowledge graph model is designed to model user–item and item–item bipartite relations. Based on the property-specific knowledge graph model, property-specific user–item relation features can be mined from it. Then the user–item relation features will be integrated into an improved collaborative filtering algorithm based on the local sensitive hash technique for Top-N item recommendation. Finally, we evaluate the proposed method in terms of Top-N recommendation on the MovieLens dataset, and prove it outperforms numbers of state-of-the-art recommendation systems. Objectives: The aims of this clinical study were to investigate success rate, vital pulp survival rate, tooth survival rate and patient-reported masticatory ability by evaluating the pain symptoms and signs of the cracked teeth as well as Index of Eating Difficulty (IED) and Oral Health Impact Profile-14 (OHIP-14) questionnaire after cracked teeth were restored with occlusal veneers. Materials and methods: 27 cracked teeth of 24 patients with cold and/or biting pains without spontaneous/nocturnal pains were recruited in this study. The cracked teeth were restored with occlusal veneers fabricated by lithium disilicate ceramic. Cold test and biting test were used to evaluate pain signs. IED and OHIP-14 questionnaire were used to evaluate masticatory ability. FDI criteria was used to evaluate restorations. The paired Wilcoxon test was used to analyze significant differences of detection rate of pain signs, OHIP scores and IED grade before and after restorations. Kaplan–Meier survival curve was used to describe the success rate, vital pulp survival rate, and tooth survival rate. Results: 27 cracked teeth were restored with occlusal veneers with average of 22.4-month follow-up. Two cracked teeth had pulpitis and pain signs of the other cracked teeth completely disappeared. OHIP total scores were significantly reduced after treatment. Scores of ‘pain’, ‘occlusal discomfort’, ‘uncomfortable to eat’, ‘diet unsatisfactory’ and ‘interrupted meals’ reduced significantly after treatment. After treatment, IED grades of 25 vital teeth were significantly lower than those before treatment. FDI scores of 25 restorations except for 2 teeth with pulpitis were no greater than 2. The 12 months accumulated pulp survival rate of the cracked teeth was 92.6%. The 12 months accumulated tooth survival rate was 100%. The success rate at the latest recall was 92.6%. Conclusion: Occlusal veneer restorations with success rate of 92.6% and the same pulp survival rate might be an effective restoration for treating the cracked teeth. In this paper, the melting memory effect generated by a novel cyclic thermal treatment protocol with form II as "seeds" on the polymorphic transformation in isotactic polybutylene-1(iPB-1) was investigated. Polar Optical Microscope (POM), wide angle X-ray diffraction (WAXD) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) were used to study the changes of morphology and crystal form II → I transition during aging. Selected crystallization temperature (Tsc) and melting temperature (Tsm) were applied to generate residual nuclei of form II. Both cycled and uncycled samples were analyzed to demonstrate the formation of crystal I and polymorphic transformation. The results indicate that the melting memory has a significant effect on tetragonal modification, leading to an increased nucleation density and an accelerated nucleation speed. The ordered chain sequences in crystal II initiated the formation of crystal nuclei of form I, resulting in a rapid conversion and increased transition degree during the hexagonal crystal growth. Form I was found to have two formation pathways, including the transformation of the unstable crystal form II and the direct formation from residual crystal and melt, which have been rarely discussed before and may shed light on understanding of crystal formation mechanism in polymorphism polybutene-1. Structural superlubricity (SSL) refers to a state of ultralow friction and zero wear when two solid surfaces slide against each other. Recent investigations have identified amorphous carbon at the edge of the graphite mesa as the primary source of friction in such SSL systems. Here, the tensile stress of metal thin film is exploited to engineer vertically conductive edge-warping graphite mesas (EWGM). Through this approach, robust SSL performance is realized, demonstrated by sliding an 8 µm side length square EWGM on an atomically smooth Au substrate for 10000 cycles at a constant voltage of 1 mV. In this SSL system, differential friction coefficients lower than 1.5 × 10−4 are achieved, with static contact resistance between EWGM and Au substrate as low as 28 Ω and sliding contact resistance as low as 32 Ω. Moreover, the EWGM exhibits SSL behavior on polished Si wafer substrates. Furthermore, because of the no-edge contact with the substrate during sliding, friction is independent of the sliding speed of the EWGM. This study presents the first successful fabrication of conductive EWGM. Remarkably, in both EWGM-Au and EWGM-Si SSL systems, the measured frictions are more than one order of magnitude lower than those of ordinary self-retracting graphite mesas with no-edge warping, and no wear is observed during extended current-carrying sliding. Artificial intelligence (AI) decision support systems in pediatric healthcare have a complex application background. As an AI decision support system (AI-DSS) can be costly, once applied, it is crucial to focus on its performance, interpret its success, and then monitor and update it to ensure ongoing success consistently. Therefore, a set of evaluation indicators was explicitly developed for AI-DSS in pediatric healthcare, enabling continuous and systematic performance monitoring. The study unfolded in two stages. The first stage encompassed establishing the evaluation indicator set through a literature review, a focus group interview, and expert consultation using the Delphi method. In the second stage, weight analysis was conducted. Subjective weights were calculated based on expert opinions through analytic hierarchy process, while objective weights were determined using the entropy weight method. Subsequently, subject and object weights were synthesized to form the combined weight. In the two rounds of expert consultation, the authority coefficients were 0.834 and 0.846, Kendall's coordination coefficient was 0.135 in Round 1 and 0.312 in Round 2. The final evaluation indicator set has three first-class indicators, fifteen second-class indicators, and forty-seven third-class indicators. Indicator I-1(Organizational performance) carries the highest weight, followed by Indicator I-2(Societal performance) and Indicator I-3(User experience performance) in the objective and combined weights. Conversely, 'Societal performance' holds the most weight among the subjective weights, followed by 'Organizational performance' and 'User experience performance'. In this study, a comprehensive and specialized set of evaluation indicators for the AI-DSS in the pediatric outpatient clinic was established, and then implemented. Dry reforming of methane (DRM) is a highly endothermic process, with its development hindered by the harsh thermocatalytic conditions required. We propose an innovative DRM approach utilizing a 16 W pulsed laser in combination with a cost-effective Mo2C catalyst, enabling DRM under milder conditions. The pulsed laser serves a dual function by inducing localized high temperatures and generating *CH plasma on the Mo2C surface. This activates CH4 and CO2, significantly accelerating the DRM reaction. Notably, the laser directly generates *CH plasma from CH4 through thermionic emission and cascade ionization, bypassing the traditional step-by-step dehydrogenation process and eliminating the rate-limiting step of methane cracking. This method maintains a carbon-oxygen balanced environment, thus preventing the deactivation of the Mo2C catalyst due to CO2 oxidation. The laser-catalytic DRM achieves high yields of H2 (14300.8 mmol h−1 g−1) and CO (14949.9 mmol h−1 g−1) with satisfactory energy efficiency (0.98 mmol kJ−1), providing a promising alternative for high-energy-consuming catalytic systems. Purpose: This study aimed to apply a newly developed semi-automatic phantom-less QCT (PL-QCT) to measure proximal humerus trabecular bone density based on chest CT and verify its accuracy and precision. Methods: Subcutaneous fat of the shoulder joint and trapezius muscle were used as calibration references for PL-QCT BMD measurement. A self-developed algorithm based on a convolution map was utilized in PL-QCT for semi-automatic BMD measurements. CT values of ROIs used in PL-QCT measurements were directly used for phantom-based quantitative computed tomography (PB-QCT) BMD assessment. The study included 376 proximal humerus for comparison between PB-QCT and PL-QCT. Two sports medicine doctors measured the proximal humerus with PB-QCT and PL-QCT without knowing each other's results. Among them, 100 proximal humerus were included in the inter-operative and intra-operative BMD measurements for evaluating the repeatability and reproducibility of PL-QCT and PB-QCT. Results: A total of 188 patients with 376 shoulders were involved in this study. The consistency analysis indicated that the average bias between proximal humerus BMDs measured by PB-QCT and PL-QCT was 1.0 mg/cc (agreement range – 9.4 to 11.4; P > 0.05, no significant difference). Regression analysis between PB-QCT and PL-QCT indicated a good correlation (R-square is 0.9723). Short-term repeatability and reproducibility of proximal humerus BMDs measured by PB-QCT (CV: 5.10% and 3.41%) were slightly better than those of PL-QCT (CV: 6.17% and 5.64%). Conclusions: We evaluated the bone quality of the proximal humeral using chest CT through the semi-automatic PL-QCT system for the first time. Comparison between it and PB-QCT indicated that it could be a reliable shoulder BMD assessment tool with acceptable accuracy and precision. Summary: This study developed and verify a semi-automatic PL-QCT for assessment of proximal humeral bone density based on CT to assist in the assessment of proximal humeral osteoporosis and development of individualized treatment plans for shoulders.
