Accurately portraying the spatially linked network characteristics of digital infrastructure and exploring its energy-saving effects are highly valuable for enhancing the synergy in digital infrastructure development and expanding its network spillover effects on energy conservation. This paper uses panel data at the city level in China and employs a modified gravity model to calculate the centrality of digital infrastructure spatial correlation network nodes. Based on this, an econometric model is constructed, incorporating variables such as digital infrastructure spatial correlation network node centrality and urban green total factor energy efficiency. The model is used to analyze the effects and transmission paths of digital infrastructure network node centrality on urban green total factor energy efficiency. The analysis yields the following conclusions: (1) Digital infrastructure spatial correlation network node centrality significantly improves urban green total factor energy efficiency, with considerable variability due to city geographic location, city scale, and city attributes. (2) Nonlinear testing results indicate that as digital infrastructure construction advances, its impact on urban green total factor energy efficiency shifts from inhibitory to promotional. (3) The impact mechanism shows that digital infrastructure node centrality enhances urban green total factor energy efficiency through green technology innovation. Additionally, it promotes advanced industrial structures and reduces capital mismatch, further influencing energy efficiency. (4) Digital infrastructure node centrality not only boosts urban green total factor energy efficiency but also facilitates regional convergence, increasing the convergence rate from 0.094 to 0.170%. Digitalization plays a pivotal role in enhancing manufacturing quality development and upgradation, helping translate transformation goals. The available literature has explored the impact of high-quality development in manufacturing, but the impact of digitalization and the underlying mechanism still needs to be systematically studied. This study aims to verify the impact of digitalization on the high-quality development of manufacturing employing dynamic panel data and a quantile regression model on China's provincial panel data between 2011 and 2020. The results indicated that high-quality manufacturing development showed a fluctuating rising trend with insignificant regional differences, with no apparent trend with a significant difference in the eastern region compared to the central and western regions. The nonlinear effect analysis results revealed that digitalization significantly promoted high-quality development in manufacturing with a more prominent effect at 50% quantile. Digitalization showed significant and heterogenous results in eastern region data compared to other regions, cementing the importance of digitalization in high-quality manufacturing development. This research also empirically enriches the discussion on the relationship between digitalization and the high-quality manufacturing development of industries providing meaningful insight into policy implications for improving the high-quality level of the manufacturing industry and achieving sustainable economic development. This paper uses the exogenous shock of China's formal implementation of the environmental information disclosure system in 2008 to construct a quasi-natural experiment. Based on the panel data of prefecture-level cities from 2003 to 2019, the propensity score matching and difference in difference (PSM-DID) approach was used to systematically evaluate the impact of environmental information disclosure on energy efficiency. Overcoming the difficulties in measuring environmental information disclosure and the endogenous problem, this paper investigates the energy-saving effect of environmental information disclosure and illustrates its mechanism for the first time. The results show that environmental information disclosure significantly improved energy efficiency, and public participation played an important role in energy conservation, a conclusion that remained true after a series of robustness tests. The test of the impact mechanism shows that environmental information disclosure can achieve the goal of improving energy efficiency by promoting industrial structure upgrading and technological innovation. This paper enriches the discussion on the relationship between environmental information disclosure and energy efficiency, and provides useful policy inspiration for improving the level of energy efficiency and achieving sustainable economic development. Technological advancements and resources availability are the main components of green total factor energy efficiency (GTFEE). This study measured GTFEE using the Meta-frontier and Non-radial Directional Distance Function (MNDDF) models and empirically evaluated the effect of technological innovation and resource endowment on GTFEE using dynamic panel and panel threshold models. The following are the primary findings: (1) Throughout the study sample period, the average change trend of China's GTFEE was generally in the shape of a "W," with regional variations. (2) Independent innovation can significantly improve GTFEE, whereas technology introduction has little effect on GTFEE advancement. Similarly, it confirmed the existence of the "Resource Curse." (3) While independent innovation has reduced the severity of the resource curse to a certain extent, the introduction of this technology has no positive effect on the resource curse problem. (4) Heterogeneity research indicates that only large cities' independent innovation has significantly increased GTFEE. There is a particular resource curse phenomenon regardless of the city size, but it is more prominent in small and medium-sized cities. (5) At various phases of economic development, a significant difference was noticed in the impact of independent innovation, technology introduction, and resource endowment on GTFEE. There are obvious differences between different types of environmental regulation, which are manifested in different environmental protection tendencies and goals, and there are also significant differences in policy implementation. Therefore, it is an urgent empirical problem to quantitatively evaluate the impact of heterogeneous environmental regulation on the upgrading of industrial structures. Therefore, on the basis of measuring the level of industrial structure upgrading, this paper empirically tests the impact of heterogeneous environmental regulation on industrial structure upgrading. The results show that the upgrading level of China's industrial structure increased year by year from 2000 to 2018. The three types of environmental regulatory measures have effectively promoted the upgrading of the industrial structure, and the market-incentive environmental regulation (MER) has a significantly higher role in the advancement of the industrial structure than the command-controlled environmental regulation (CER) and the voluntary public participation environmental regulation (VER). With the improvement of regional economic development level, the three types of environmental regulation have gradually become more prominent in promoting the upgrading of industrial structure. In the mechanism test, it is found that technological innovation has a partial mediating effect in the process of CER affecting the upgrading of industrial structure, MER and public VER have a complete mediating effect, while foreign direct investment (FDI) has only a partial mediating effect in the process of the three types of environmental regulation affecting industrial advancement, and there is no mediating effect in the process of influencing the rationalization of industrial structure.
