The article presents a case study of a 41-year-old woman, who was diagnosed in July 2009 with an atypical chronic myeloid leukemia. Topics discussed include treatment of patient with cytarabine and hydroxyurea, development of BK virus nephropathy without hemorrhagic cystitis following hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, and opportunistic infections developed by patients.
