Atherosclerosis is a chronic inflammatory vascular disease. It was confirmed that activation of ferroptosis could induce the development of AS. Meanwhile, Krüppel-like factor 7 was reported to be involved in AS. Nevertheless, the detailed function of KLF7 in ferroptosis during AS has not been not explored. To mimic AS in vitro, human microvascular endothelial cells (HMEC-1) were exposed to 100 μg/mL ox-LDL. Cell viability was tested using MTT assay, and commercial kits were applied to examine the ferroptosis. Flow cytometry was applied for testing lipid ROS level. The relation between KLF7 and AlkB homolog 5 (ALKBH5) was explored using dual luciferase and ChIP assays. Furthermore, MeRIP was used to test the m6A modification level of ACSL4. KLF7 and ALKBH5 overexpression reversed ox-LDL-induced ferroptosis (characterized by up-regulated MDA, iron, Fe2+, lipid ROS and ACSL4, and down-regulated GSH and GPX4) in HMEC-1 cells. In addition, KLF7 transcriptionally activated ALKBH5. ALKBH5 decreased the level of ACSL4 by inhibiting the m6A modification of ACSL4. Furthermore, upregulation of KLF7 restored ox-LDL-induced ferroptosis in HMEC-1 cells via upregulating ALKBH5. KLF7 repressed ox-LDL-induced ferroptosis in HMEC-1 cells through promoting ALKBH5 mediated m6A demethylation of ACSL4. Our study might supply a new therapeutic strategy for AS treatment. Chronoamperometry (CA), phase space reconstruction, correlation dimension, multifractal detrended fluctuation analysis (MFDFA) combining linear sweep voltammetry (LSV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and surface morphology observation were used to systematically analyze the nonlinear dynamics behavior of electrochemical dissolution of Ti-48Al-2Cr-2Nb alloy at high applied potentials. The relationships of applied potential E with nonlinear dynamic characteristic (saturation correlation dimension D 2 ′ , Hurst exponent H, the area of the spectrum S) and electrochemical corrosion parameters (capacitance ratio (Ca/Cb)) were analyzed, respectively. The results show that non-uniform corrosion at low potentials (7–13 V) results in rough surfaces; a higher potential (16 V) contributes to obtaining smoother surface. The growth of saturated correlation dimension reveals that the corrosion behavior of Ti-48Al-2Cr-2Nb alloy changes from non-uniform corrosion to uniform corrosion. The number of major variables in the electrochemical system is 6 for 7–13 V and is 7 for 16 V. The inversely proportional relationships of the area of the spectrum S and Hurst exponent H between the applied potential, respectively, testify that high potential is favorable for uniform corrosion of Ti-48Al-2Cr-2Nb alloy. The interaction between terahertz (THz) resonance modes and element deformation in rectangular split-ring resonator (RSRR)-based meta-atoms (MAs) is investigated experimentally. Two types of RSRR-based MAs are presented: lateral-varied SRR (LV-SRR) and arm-twisted SRR (AT-SRR). When the distances from the gaps to the opposite sides of above meta-atoms increase from 10 to 40 μm, the inductive-capacitive (LC) resonance modes and dipole oscillation modes exhibit redshift behavior. The quality factor (Q factor) of LC resonance decreases while that of dipole oscillation modes increases. The THz mode interaction is subject to the distance between the gap and opposite side. An extension of lateral side contributes much more to the enhancement of Q factor of dipole oscillation mode than the twisted arms. The relationship between the near-field coupling effect and THz modes is revealed by the analysis of surface currents as well as the electric energy density distribution, as is in agreement with the experimental results. Transient materials capable of disappearing rapidly and completely are critical for transient electronics. End-capped polyoxymethylene (POM) has excellent mechanical properties and thermal stability. However, research concerning the inherent thermal instability of POM without end-capping to obtain transient rather than stable materials, has never been reported. Here, POM without end-capping is proposed as a novel thermally triggered transient solid material that can vanish rapidly by undergoing conversion to a volatile gas, and a chemical vapor deposition method is developed to obtain a smooth POM substrate from the synthesized POM powder. Experimental and theoretical analysis was employed to reveal the mechanism whereby the POM substrate formed and vanished. A Cr/Au/SiO2/Cu memristor device, which was successfully deposited on the POM substrate by physical vapor deposition, exhibits bipolar resistive switching, suggesting that the POM substrate is suitable for use in electrical devices. Thermal triggering causes the POM substrate to vanish as the memristor disintegrates, confirming excellent transient performance. The deposited bulk POM material can completely vanish by thermally triggered depolymerization, and is suitable for physically transient substrates and packaging materials, demonstrating great prospects for application in transient electronics for information security.
