This study aimed to investigate the reasons of the violent enforcement stereotype of Chengguan. To achieve this objective, 55 semi-structured qualitative interviews were conducted with street vendors, Chengguan staff and the public in 2022 and 2023. The analysis drew upon street-level bureaucracy theory and employed inductive content analysis to thoroughly examine the interview data. The research revealed that the public commonly associates Chengguan with violent enforcement, mainly due to a pattern of violent tendencies and behaviors observed in specific enforcement actions. A deeper analysis indicated that the ambiguous positioning of Chengguan department, the low thresholds of staff recruitment, and the perfunctory accountability of staff dismissal are the root reasons for violent enforcement by Chengguan. Additionally, the negative portrayal of Chengguan in self-media and the reduced effectiveness of traditional authoritative media in conveying objective information have both shaped and entrenched this negative image. This paper extends the application of street-level bureaucracy theory, offering a new perspective and analytical framework to better understand the stereotype of violent enforcement by Chengguan. Moreover, the study presents practical strategies to address or mitigate the negative stereotype. Mechanotransduction is the essential process that cells convert mechanical force into biochemical responses, and electrochemical sensor stands out from existing techniques by providing quantitative and real-time information about the biochemical signals during cellular mechanotransduction. However, the intracellular biochemical response evoked by mechanical force has been poorly monitored. In this paper, we report a method to apply local stretch on single cell and simultaneously monitor the ensuing intracellular biochemical signals. Specifically, a ferromagnetic micropipette was fabricated to locally stretch a single cell labeled with Fe3O4 nanoparticles under the external magnetic field, and the SiC@Pt nanowire electrode (SiC@Pt NWE) was inserted into the cell to monitor the intracellular hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) production induced by the local stretch. As a proof of concept, this work quantitatively investigated the elevated amount of H2O2 levels in single endothelial cell under different stretching amplitudes. A highly efficient ratiometric electrochemiluminescence (ECL) immunoassay was explored by bidirectionally regulating the ECL intensity of two luminophors. The immunoassay was conducted in a split-type mode consisting of an ECL detection procedure and a sandwich immunoreaction. The ECL detection was executed using a dual-disk glassy carbon electrode modified with two potential-resolved luminophors (g-C3N4-Ag and Ru-MOF-Ag nanocomposites), and the sandwich immunoreaction using glucose oxidase (GOx)-modified SiO2 nanospheres as labels was carried out in a 96-well plate. The Ag nanoparticles (NPs) acted as bifunctional units both for triggering the resonance energy transfer (RET) with g-C3N4 and for accelerating the electron transfer rate of the Ru-MOF-Ag ECL reaction. When the H2O2 catalyzed by GOx in the 96-well plate was transferred to the dual-disk glass carbon electrode, the doped Ag NPs in the two luminophors could be etched, thus destroying the RET between C3N4 and the accelerated reaction to Ru-MOF, resulting in an opposite trend in the ECL signal outputted from the dual disks. Using the ratio of the two signals for quantification, the constructed immunosensor for a model target, i.e. myoglobin, exhibited a low detection limit of 4.7 × 10–14 g/mL. The ingenious combination of ECL ratiometry, bifunctional Ag NPs, and a split-type strategy effectively reduces environmental and human errors, offering a more precise and sensitive analysis for complex samples. The first-order antisymmetric (A1) mode lamb wave resonator (LWR) based on Z-cut LiNbO3 thin films has attracted significant attention and is widely believed to be a candidate for next-generation reconfigurable filters with high frequency and large bandwidth (BW). However, it is challenging for traditional interdigitated electrodes (IDTs) based LWR filters to meet the requirement of a clean frequency spectrum response and enough out-of-band (OoB) rejection. To solve the problem, we propose LWRs with checker-shaped IDTs for the design of filters that meet the Wi-Fi 6E standard. By taking advantage of checker-shaped IDTs with unparalleled boundaries, the fabricated 6-GHz resonators successfully suppress higher-order A1 spurious modes, demonstrating a spurious-free impedance response and a high figure-of-merit (FOM) up to 104. Based on the demonstrated checker-shaped electrode design, the filter features a center frequency (f0) of more than 6 GHz, a 3 dB BW exceeding 620 MHz, and an excellent OoB rejection >25 dB, consistent with the acoustic-electric-electromagnetic (EM) multi-physics simulations. Furthermore, through the capacitance-inductance matching network technology, the filter's voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) is successfully reduced below 2, showing an excellent 50 Ω impedance matching. Coptis teeta Wall. (Ranunculaceae), an endangered plant species of significant medicinal value, predominantly undergoes clonal propagation, potentially compromising the species' evolutionary potential and ultimately increase its risk of extinction. In this study, we successfully assembled two sets of haploid genomes (Hap1 and Hap2) for C. teeta, comprising nine homologous chromosome pairs, by employing Illumina and PacBio sequencing technologies. The genome annotation identified a total of 43,979 and 46,311 protein-coding genes in Hap1 and in Hap2, and most of them were functionally annotated. The high-quality reference genome will serve as an indispensable genomic resource for conservation and comprehensive exploitation of this endangered species. Between the two haploid genomes, numerous structural alterations were detected within the nine homologous chromosome pairs, potentially resulting in aberrant synapsis and irregular chromosomal segregation and thus contributing to the sustained preservation of clonal propagation in C. teeta. The findings offer new perspective for elucidating the genetic mechanism underlying the compromised sexual reproductive capacity of C. teeta, thereby facilitating its enhancement though molecular breeding and genetic improvement. The upas tree (Antiaris toxicaria Lesch.) is a medically important plant that contains various specialized metabolites with significant bioactivity. The lack of a reference genome hinders the in-depth study as well as rational exploitation and conservation of this plant. Here, we present the first holotype-resolved chromosome-scale genome of the upas tree. The assembled genome consisted of 26 chromosomes that contain 1.34 Gb of sequencing data with a contig N50 length of 60 Mb. Genome annotation identified 43,500 protein-coding genes in the upas tree genome, of which 98.75% were functionally annotated. After conducting a compression test on rocket storage tanks, the presence of residual S2− and Cl− ions was detected in the remaining solution. These ions, when concentrated in areas prone to high residual concentrations such as weld seams, can cause corrosion. Therefore, this study focuses on the mechanical properties and corrosion behavior of resistance spot welded (RSW) joints in 2219 aluminum alloy storage tanks in a service environment with a mixed solution of 1 mg/L NaCl and 0.1 mg/L Na2S. The results indicate that the joint exhibits a tight mechanical bonding wires, with the fusion zone being isolated from the external environment, making it difficult for the corrosive solution to penetrate. However, some pitting corrosion is observed in the base metal and the heat affected zone. The corrosion products mainly consist of Al2O3 and AlCl3. The S2− ions are released in the form of H2S after hydrolysis. Comparing the mechanical properties of the joints before and after 60 days of immersion, no significant loss in mechanical performance is observed. The joint fractures exhibit a combination of brittle and ductile fracture modes. The presence of S2− and Cl− ions does not affect the safe operation of the rocket propellant tanks. Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate the significance of combined detection of Septin9 and syndecan-2 (SDC2) methylation markers and serum tumor markers for the early diagnosis of colorectal cancer. Methods: A total of 116 patients diagnosed with colorectal cancer between December 2022 and February 2024 were designated as the colorectal cancer group. Additionally, 31 patients with colorectal adenoma were assigned to the adenoma group, while 44 individuals undergoing routine physical examinations were included in the control group. Concentrations of Septin9, SDC2, fecal occult blood (FOB), and four tumor markers—carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), carbohydrate antigen 199 (CA199), carbohydrate antigen 125 (CA125), and carbohydrate antigen 724 (CA724)—were measured. Diagnostic performance was assessed using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves for Septin9, SDC2, the four tumor markers, FOB, the combination of Septin9 and SDC2, and the combined use of all seven indicators (CEA, CA19-9, CA125, CA72-4, FOB, Septin9, and SDC2). Results: The colorectal cancer group exhibited the highest positive rates for Septin9, SDC2, the four tumor markers, the combined detection of Septin9 and SDC2, and the combined detection of all seven indicators, compared to both the adenoma and control groups (P < 0.05). The adenoma group also showed higher positive rates than the control group (P < 0.05). For patients with stage I–III colorectal cancer, the positive rates for the combined detection of Septin9 and SDC2 were 81.3%, 78.9%, and 90.2%, respectively, surpassing those for the combined detection of the four tumor markers (43.8%, 55.3%, and 61.0%). Additionally, the positive rates for the two-gene combination in stage III colorectal cancer were higher than those for FOB (P < 0.05). The sensitivity and area under the curve (AUC) for SDC2 were 73.3% and 0.855, respectively, exceeding the sensitivity and AUC for the combined four tumor markers, which were 60.3% and 0.734 (P < 0.05). The combined detection of the two methylated genes demonstrated a sensitivity of 86.2% and an AUC of 0.908, outperforming both FOB and the combined detection of the four tumor markers (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The detection of SDC2 exhibits high sensitivity for colorectal cancer, and when combined with Septin9, it significantly enhances the diagnostic accuracy for early-stage colorectal cancer, offering substantial clinical value. Wheel-ground interactions during operation cause the robot to deviate from the reference trajectory, affecting the stability and safety of the robot. An event-triggered model predictive control based on the observation disturbance triggering mechanism is proposed for the four-wheel independent steering and four-wheel independent driving wheeled mobile robot to handle this issue. The discrete error model is established based on the kinematic model, and its prediction model is further developed. During the robot's movement, a discrete-time disturbance observer is used to estimate the bounded disturbances suffered by the robot. Then, a rolling optimization method based on the triggering mechanism of disturbance observation is proposed. By setting the disturbance threshold to determine if the optimal control problem should be solving within the sampling period, the optimization frequency of model prediction controller is reduced, which in turn saves computational resource consumption. Osteoporosis (OP) is a common metabolic bone disease characterized by low bone mass and microstructural deterioration of bone. Changes in the composition and structure of gut microbiota (GM) are related to changes of bone mass and bone microstructure. However, the relationship between GM and bone mineral density (BMD) is complex, and data are especially scarce for Chinese Han youth. Therefore, 62 Chinese Han youth participants were recruited. Furthermore, according to the T–score evaluation criteria of the World Health Organization (WHO), we divided the BMD levels of participants into three groups: osteoporosis\BDL, osteopenia\BDM, normal bone density\BDH, and the associations between GM community and BMD groups were conducted. According to alpha and beta diversity analysis, significant differences were found in the microbial richness and composition between groups. The dominant phyla of GM in a cohort of Chinese Han youth were Bacteroidota (50.6%) and Firmicutes (41.6%). Anaerobic microorganisms, such as g_Faecalibacterium and g_Megamonas, account for the largest proportion in the gut, which were mainly Firmicutes phylum. The dominant genera and species in the three BMD groups were g_Prevotella, g_Bacteroides, g_Faecalibacterium, g_Megamonas, s_Prevotella copri, s_unclassified_g_Faecalibacterium, s_unclassified_g_Prevotella, s_unclassified_g_Bacteroides and s_Bacteroides plebeius. g_Faecalibacterium, g_Bacteroides and g_Ruminococcus differed between the BDH and BDL groups as well as between the BDH and BDM groups. LEfSe showed three genus communities and eight species communities were enriched in the three BMD groups, respectively. The associations between microbial relative abundance and T–score was not statistically significant by Spearman and regression analysis. In conclusion, the alpha diversity indexes in the BDH group were higher than in the BDL group, and several taxa were identified that may be the targets for diagnosis and therapy of OP. The multi-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) is widely utilized in clinical diagnosis and monitoring of cardiac conditions. The advancement of deep learning has led to the emergence of automated multi-lead ECG diagnostic networks, which have become essential in the fields of biomedical engineering and clinical cardiac disease diagnosis. Intelligent ECG diagnosis techniques encompass Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN), Transformers, and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN). While CNN is capable of extracting local spatial information from images, it lacks the ability to learn global spatial features and temporal memory features. Conversely, RNN relies on time and can retain significant sequential features. However, they are not proficient in extracting lengthy dependencies of sequence data in practical scenarios. The self-attention mechanism in the Transformer model has the capability of global feature extraction, but it does not adequately prioritize local features and cannot extract spatial and channel features. This paper proposes STFAC-ECGNet, a model that incorporates CAMV-RNN block, CBMV-CNN block, and TSEF block to enhance the performance of the model by integrating the strengths of CNN, RNN, and Transformer. The CAMV-RNN block incorporates a coordinated adaptive simplified self-attention module that adaptively carries out global sequence feature retention and enhances spatial–temporal information. The CBMV-CNN block integrates spatial and channel attentional mechanism modules in a skip connection, enabling the fusion of spatial and channel information. The TSEF block implements enhanced multi-scale fusion of image spatial and sequence temporal features. In this study, comprehensive experiments were conducted using the PTB-XL large publicly available ECG dataset and the China Physiological Signal Challenge 2018 (CPSC2018) database. P2X receptors, a subfamily of ligand-gated ion channels activated by extracellular ATP, are implicated in various physiopathological processes, including inflammation, pain perception, and immune and respiratory regulations. Structural determinations using crystallography and cryo-EM have revealed that the extracellular three-dimensional architectures of different P2X subtypes across various species are remarkably identical, greatly advancing our understanding of P2X activation mechanisms. However, structural studies yield paradoxical architectures of the intracellular domain (ICD) of different subtypes (e.g., P2X3 and P2X7) at the apo state, and the role of the ICD in P2X functional regulation remains unclear. Here, we propose that the P2X3 receptor's ICD has an apo state conformation similar to the open state but with a less tense architecture, containing allosteric sites that influence P2X3's physiological and pathological roles. Using covalent occupancy, engineered disulfide bonds and voltage-clamp fluorometry, we suggested that the ICD can undergo coordinated motions with the transmembrane domain of P2X3, thereby facilitating channel activation. Additionally, we identified a novel P2X3 enhancer, PSFL77, and uncovered its potential allosteric site located in the 1α3β domain of the ICD. PSFL77 modulated pain perception in P2rx3+/+, but not in P2rx3−/−, mice, indicating that the 1α3β, a "tunable" region implicated in the regulation of P2X3 functions. Thus, when P2X3 is in its apo state, its ICD architecture is fairly ordered rather than an unstructured outward folding, enabling allosteric modulation of the signaling of P2X3 receptors. Intuitionistic fuzzy sets have been widely studied and applied as an important means of dealing with information uncertainty. However, the existing intuitionistic fuzzy sets and their extension methods are limited and single in their fuzzy spatial representation of information. Under this environment, this paper proposes a new generalized fuzzy set, called qth Rung Root Orthopair Fuzzy Sets (q-RROFS). Since the q-RROFS can adjust the range of fuzzy space expression by the parameter q, it is superior to intuitionistic fuzzy sets, SR-fuzzy sets, and CR-fuzzy sets. We give some definitions and properties of q-RROFS and give their proofs. Under the q-RROFS, we give its operations and properties and introduce four new weighted aggregation operators, namely, qth Rung Root Orthopair Fuzzy-weighted average operator (q-RROFWA), qth Rung Root Orthopair Fuzzy-weighted geometric operator (q-RROFWG), qth Rung Root Orthopair Fuzzy-weighted power average operator (q-RROFWPA), and qth Rung Root Orthopair Fuzzy-weighted power geometric operator (q-RROFWPG). We discuss the properties of these operators in detail and follow the proof procedure. Then, we give a Multi-criteria decision-making approach under q-RROFS. To evaluate the residual stresses of Stellite−6 dissimilar layers on the water erosion-prone regions of low-pressure last-stage blades, the effects of the microstructure, microhardness and cladding passes on the residual stress distributions of cladding layers are investigated carefully. Although the cladded blades undergo stress relief heat treatment, the residual tensile stress in the cladding Stellite−6 layer is 200 ~ 300 MPa, and the residual compressive stress in the substrate is − 100 ~ − 150 MPa. Due to the microstructure and property mismatch between the cladding layer and substrate, there is a great residual stress gradient at the interface of the Stellite−6 alloy layer and substrate. The addition of cladding passes on the concave side of the blade can increase the peak tensile stress to 374 MPa in the other side cladding layer; however, the cladding pass significantly reduces the residual stress gradient at the interface of the Stellite−6 alloy layer and substrate. Halide perovskites have shown promising potential for direct X-ray detection due to their high X-ray absorption coefficient, low trap states and convenient fabrication process. However, it is still a challenge to achieve high sensitivity, low dark current and low detection limit in a single material. The deep reason for this is the trade-off between the material's μτ product and resistivity. Here we report the construction of an organic–inorganic hybrid anti-perovskite ((2-Habch)3Cl(PtI6)) with indirect transition and low orbital symmetry at the band edge to achieve an ultralong intrinsic lifetime and thus break the trade-off. (2-Habch)3Cl(PtI6) achieves an unprecedented long carrier lifetime of >3 ms, leading to a large μτ product of 6.25 × 10−3 cm2 V−1 and high resistivity of 1012 Ω cm, outperforming most X-ray detection materials. These properties enabled the development of X-ray detectors that simultaneously achieve an ultralow dark current of 0.21 nA cm−2, high sensitivity of 1.0 × 104 µC Gyair−1 cm−2, ultralow detection limit of 2.4 nGyair s−1 and excellent operational stability with no observable baseline drift, outperforming state-of-the-art perovskite single-crystal detectors. The rare combination of high performance in almost every figure of merit in the anti-perovskite-based X-ray detector could enable new-generation X-ray detection systems. The researchers synthesize organic–inorganic hybrid inverse perovskites that exhibit excellent carrier lifetime and mobility–lifetime product and high resistivity, enabling stable X-ray detectors with performance arguably outperforming state-of-the-art perovskite single-crystal detectors. Introduction: The commonly used clinical indicators are not sensitive and comprehensive enough to evaluate the early staging of chronic kidney disease (CKD). This study aimed to evaluate the differences in arterial spin labeling (ASL) and blood oxygenation level–dependent functional magnetic resonance imaging (BOLD-MRI) parameter values among patients at various stages of chronic kidney disease and healthy individuals. Methods: Electronic databases PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane, and Embase were searched from inception to March 29, 2024, to identify relevant studies on ASL and BOLD in CKD. The renal blood flow (RBF) and apparent relaxation rate (R2*) values were obtained from healthy individuals and patients with various stages of CKD. The meta-analysis was conducted using STATA version 12.0. The random-effects model was used to obtain estimates of the effects, and the results were expressed as 95% confidence intervals (CIs) and mean differences (MDs) of continuous variables. Results: A total of 18 published studies were included in this meta-analysis. The cortical RBF and R2* values and medulla RBF values were considerably distinct between patients with various stages of CKD and healthy controls (MD, − 78.162; 95% CI, − 85.103 to − 71.221; MD, 2.440; 95% CI, 1.843 to 3.037; and MD, − 36.787; 95% CI, − 47.107 to − 26.468, respectively). No obvious difference in medulla R2* values was noted between patients with various stages of CKD and healthy controls (MD, − 1.475; 95% CI, − 4.646 to 1.696). Conclusion: ASL and BOLD may provide complementary and distinct information regarding renal function and could potentially be used together to gain a more comprehensive understanding of renal physiology. The spin-orbit assisted Mott insulator α-RuCl3 is a prime candidate for material realization of the Kitaev quantum spin liquid. While little attention has been paid to charge degrees of freedom, charge effects, such as electric polarization, may arise in this system. Here, we report distortion-induced local electric polarization in α-RuCl3 as evidenced by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, second harmonic generation (SHG) and dielectric measurements. The SHG signal appears at room temperature and develops substantially in the Kitaev paramagnetic state when short-range spin correlations come into play. Despite sizable pyroelectric currents in the Kitaev paramagnetic state, the absence of hysteresis in the polarization-electric field (P-E) points to the short-range nature of electric polarization. This localized electric polarization is likely the result of distortion-induced charge dimerization, achieved through virtual hopping-induced charge redistribution. In addition, the electric polarization is boosted by short-range spin correlations via spin-phonon coupling in the Kitaev paramagnetic state. Our results emphasize the importance of charge degrees of freedom in α-RuCl3, which establish a novel platform to investigate charge effects in Kitaev materials. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Copper-clad steel wire is widely used in electric power, railroads, automobiles, and other fields. However, how to balance production efficiency and wire quality is still a challenging task. In this paper, a continuous cladding composite casting method for copper-clad steel wire is proposed based on the hot-dip plating process, which adopts a removable graphite crucible and S-shaped wiring to control the thickness and eccentricity of the cladding metal, and at the same time adopts connecting the electrical resistance furnace with a water-cooled crystallizer to achieve rapid solidification, which in turn strengthens the mechanical properties of the copper-clad wire and thus realizes the rapid and continuous preparation of copper-clad steel wires with good quality. In this study, the optimum process parameters, including drawing speed and pure copper melt temperature, were provided to reveal the mechanism of metallurgical bonding at the solid–liquid composite interface. The circumferential uniformity, mechanical properties, and electrical conductivity of the prepared copper-clad steel wires were tested. The growth mechanism of the copper-coated structure and the mechanism of rapid solidification to strengthen the mechanical properties are described. Introduction: A dynamic molecular biomarker that can identify early efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapy remains an unmet clinical need. Here we evaluate if a novel circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) assay, xM, used for treatment response monitoring (TRM), that quantifies changes in ctDNA tumor fraction (TF), can predict outcome benefits in patients treated with ICI alone or in combination with chemotherapy in a real-world (RW) cohort. Methods: This retrospective study consisted of patients with advanced cancer from the Tempus de-identified clinical genomic database who received longitudinal liquid-based next-generation sequencing. Eligible patients had a blood sample ≤ 40 days prior to the start of ICI initiation and an on-treatment blood sample 15–180 days post ICI initiation. TF was calculated via an ensemble algorithm that utilizes TF estimates derived from variants and copy number information. Patients with molecular response (MR) were defined as patients with a ≥ 50% decrease in TF between tests. In the subset of patients with rw-imaging data between 2 and 18 weeks of ICI initiation, the predictive value of MR in addition to rw-imaging was compared to a model of rw-imaging alone. Results: The evaluable cohort (N = 86) was composed of 14 solid cancer types. Patients received either ICI monotherapy (38.4%, N = 33) or ICI in combination with chemotherapy (61.6%, N = 53). Patients with MR had significantly longer rw-overall survival (rwOS) (hazard ratio (HR) 0.4, P = 0.004) and rw-progression free survival (rwPFS) (HR 0.4, P = 0.005) than patients with molecular non-response (nMR). Similar results were seen in the ICI monotherapy subcohort; HR 0.2, P = 0.02 for rwOS and HR 0.2, P = 0.01 for rwPFS. Background: Malnutrition commonly occurs in cancer patients, impacting their quality of life and survival duration. The objective of this meta-analysis and systematic review is to assess the effects of nutritional interventions on patients undergoing neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy. Methods: A comprehensive search was conducted in PubMed, Embase, and the Cochrane Library databases to obtain randomized controlled trials of nutritional interventions in patients with neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy. Outcomes assessed included toxicity reactions to neoadjuvant therapy, levels of inflammation-related markers, nutritional status, and relevant clinical outcomes. The relative risk (RR) or weighted mean difference (WMD) and 95% confidence interval (CI) were used as effect sizes. Results: A total of 16 studies were included, involving 954 patients. Nutritional intervention significantly reduced the incidence of vomiting (RR = 0.37, 95%CI: 0.21–0.67, P = 0.001) and mucositis (RR = 0.82, 95%CI: 0.67–1.00, P = 0.046) in patients with neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy. For the nutritional status of cancer patients, nutritional intervention significantly increased the proportion of well-nourished patients (RR = 12.74, 95%CI: 4.43–36.69, P < 0.001). In addition, nutritional intervention also reduced the length of hospital stay in neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy patients after surgery (WMD = − 0.82, 95%CI: − 1.61- − 0.02, P = 0.043). However, there was no improvement in nausea (P = 0.534), diarrhea (P = 0.068), febrile neutropenia (P = 0.551), levels of albumin (P = 0.211), prealbumin (P = 0.063), C-reactive protein (P = 0.430), clinical remission (P = 0.148), or postoperative complications (P = 0.098). Conclusion: Nutritional intervention can reduce the toxicity of neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (vomiting and mucositis), improve the nutritional status of patients, and shorten the length of postoperative hospital stay. Purpose: Mental disorders remain the leading causes of disability worldwide. We aimed to determine the burden and trends of mental disorders in China from 1990 to 2019. Methods: The incidence, prevalence, and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) of mental disorders at national level of China were examined by age, sex, and subcategories. Temporal trends in the age-standardized rates for incidence, prevalence, and DALYs were assessed by the average annual percentage change (AAPC). All estimates are presented as numbers and age-standardized rates, with 95% uncertainty intervals (UIs). Results: The number of incident cases due to mental disorders increased from 42.90 million to 52.72 million, the number of prevalent cases increased from 132.63 million to 160.16 million, and the number of DALYs increased from 15.64 million to 20.29 million during 1990–2019. Decreasing trends were observed in the age-standardized rates for incidence, prevalence and DALYs. Anxiety and depressive disorders were more frequent in women, while ADHD, conduct disorder, and autism spectrum disorders were more common in men. Compared with 1990, the age-specific incidence rates were higher in individuals under 14 years and over 55 years, whereas rates were lower in those aged 15–49 years in 2019. Conclusion: The number of incident cases, prevalent cases, and DALYs due to mental disorders gradually increased in China from 1990 to 2019. Anxiety and depressive disorders were the leading causes of burden due to mental disorders, which affected women more than men. Federated learning (FL) enables users to train the global model cooperatively without exposing their private data across the engaged parties, which is widely used in privacy-sensitive business. However, during the life cycle of FL models, both adversaries' attacks and ownership generalization threaten the FL models' copyright and affect the models' reliability. To address these problems, existing model watermarking techniques can be used to verify FL model's ownership. However, due to the lack of credible binding from "model extracted watermarks" to "ownership verification", it is difficult to form a closed-loop watermarking framework for copyright protection. Therefore, starting from the shortcomings of the current watermark verification scheme, this article proposed WFB, a blockchain-empowered watermarking framework for ownership verification of federated models. Firstly, we propose a improved watermark generation algorithm to solve the credibility issue of watermarks. Secondly, we propose a watermark embedding method in federated learning, while blockchain technology is used to ensure the credible storage of watermark information throughout the process. Thirdly, the credibility of ownership verification is improved because of the watermark authenticity. Microflow catalysis is a cutting-edge approach to advancing chemical synthesis and manufacturing, but the challenge lies in developing efficient and stable multiphase catalysts. Here we showcase incorporating amine-containing metal-organic cages into automated microfluidic reactors through covalent bonds, enabling highly continuous flow catalysis. Two Fe4L4 tetrahedral cages bearing four uncoordinated amines were designed and synthesized. Post-synthetic modifications of the amine groups with 3-isocyanatopropyltriethoxysilane, introducing silane chains immobilized on the inner walls of the microfluidic reactor. The immobilized cages prove highly efficient for the reaction of anthranilamide with aldehydes, showing superior reactivity and recyclability relative to free cages. This superiority arises from the large cavity, facilitating substrate accommodation and conversion, a high mass transfer rate and stable covalent bonds between cage and microreactor. The establishment of discrete element method (DEM) model for simulating the behavior of viscous soil can significantly contribute to the development of agricultural machinery, particularly in hilly areas worldwide. There is limited research on the parameter calibration of the DEM for purple soil in the Southwest China and its interaction mechanism between very narrow tine. Piling up test, rotating drum test and design-expert 12.0 software were used to design Plackett–Burman test, steepest climb test and Box–Behnken test successively. Combined with soil intrinsic parameter measurement test, soil simulation parameter calibration and optimization were completed. Based on the optimized DEM simulation parameters, the average relative errors of static repose angle and dynamic repose angle were 1.934 and 2.289%, respectively. The accuracy of parameter calibration results of DEM simulation was proved. Three kinds of very narrow tines were designed and processed. The interaction model and mechanism between soil-touch parts and soil was established. The average relative errors between the DEM simulation results of the forward resistance and disturbance area of the three soil-touch parts and the soil bin test results were 7.22% and 11.24%, respectively, which further proved that the calibration results of DEM parameters of purple soil and the interaction model with the soil-touch parts in this study were reliable. The physical and interaction parameters of slope cultivated purple soil in Southwest China were determined based on static-dynamic repose angle, providing more accurate parameters for study of soil-touch parts. The measurement of wing dynamic deformation in morphing aircraft is crucial for achieving closed-loop control and evaluating structural safety. For variable-sweep wings with active large deformation, this paper proposes a novel videogrammetric method for full-field dynamic deformation measurement. A stereo matching method based on epipolar geometry constraint and topological constraint is presented to find the corresponding targets between stereo images. In addition, a new method based on affine transformation combined with adjacent closest point matching is developed, aiming to achieve fast and automatic tracking of targets in time-series images with large deformation. A calculation model for dynamic deformation parameters is established to obtain the displacement, sweep variable angle, and span variation. To verify the proposed method, a dynamic deformation measurement experiment is conducted on a variable-sweep wing model. The results indicate that the actual accuracy of the proposed method is approximately 0.02% of the measured area (e.g., 0.32 mm in a 1.6 m scale). During one morphing course, the sweep variable angle, the span variation and the displacement increase gradually, and then decrease. The maximum sweep variable angle is 36.6°, and the span variation is up to 101.13 mm. The overall configuration of the wing surface is effectively reconstructed under different morphing states. SLC4A4 variants are the etiologies of inherited proximal renal tubular acidosis (pRTA), which results in metabolic acidosis, hypokalemia, glaucoma, band keratopathy, and cataract. This study aims to characterize SLC4A4 variant and uniparental isodisomy of chromosome 4 in a patient, and analyse the functional characterization of SLC4A4 variants. This study analyzed renal tubular acidosis disease genes by whole exome sequencing (WES). H3M2 algorithm was used to analyze the run of homozygosity region in chromosomal regions in trio-WES data. The pathogenicity analysis of variants was performed using bioinformatics tools. Additionally, protein stability was analyzed by cycloheximide chase assay. Whole-cell patch clamping was used to examine the electrophysiological properties of NBCe1-A. A novel homozygous SLC4A4 variant was identified in the patient: a missense variant c.496C > T, p. Arg166Trp (NM_003759.4). But the father was heterozygous variant carrier, and the mother did not detect the variant. The H3M2 and UPDio algorithm revealed paternal uniparental isodisomy on chromosome 4 in the patient. SIFT, Poly Phen-2, FATHMM and Mutant Taster showed that the variant might be pathogenic. The tertiary structure analysis showed that the variant could cause structural damage to NBCe1 protein. Foldx results showed that the protein stability of the variant was slightly reduced. Cycloheximide chase assay demonstrated that the variant affects protein stability. The result of electrophysiological studies showed that the variant altered Na+/HCO3− cotransport activity of protein. The mechanism of ketamine-induced neurotoxicity development remains elusive. Mitochondrial fusion/fission dynamics play a critical role in regulating neurogenesis. Therefore, this study was aimed to evaluate whether mitochondrial dynamics were involved in ketamine-induced impairment of neurogenesis in neonatal rats and long-term synaptic plasticity dysfunction. In the in vivo study, postnatal day 7 (PND-7) rats received intraperitoneal (i.p.) injection of 40 mg/kg ketamine for four consecutive times at 1 h intervals. The present findings revealed that ketamine induced mitochondrial fusion dysfunction in hippocampal neural stem cells (NSCs) by downregulating Mitofusin 2 (Mfn2) expression. In the in vitro study, ketamine treatment at 100 μM for 6 h significantly decreased the Mfn2 expression, and increased ROS generation, decreased mitochondrial membrane potential and ATP levels in cultured hippocampal NSCs. For the interventional study, lentivirus (LV) overexpressing Mfn2 (LV-Mfn2) or control LV vehicle was microinjected into the hippocampal dentate gyrus (DG) 4 days before ketamine administration. Targeted Mfn2 overexpression in the DG region could restore mitochondrial fusion in NSCs and reverse the inhibitory effect of ketamine on NSC proliferation and its faciliatory effect on neuronal differentiation. In addition, synaptic plasticity was evaluated by transmission electron microscopy, Golgi-Cox staining and long-term potentiation (LTP) recordings at 24 h after the end of the behavioral test. Preconditioning with LV-Mfn2 improved long-term cognitive dysfunction after repeated neonatal ketamine exposure by reversing the inhibitory effect of ketamine on synaptic plasticity in the hippocampal DG. The present findings demonstrated that Mfn2-mediated mitochondrial fusion dysfunction plays a critical role in the impairment of long-term neurocognitive function and synaptic plasticity caused by repeated neonatal ketamine exposure by interfering with hippocampal neurogenesis. Multi-object tracking (MOT) is a task to identify objects in videos, however, objects with similar appearance or occlusion may cause frequent ID switching, which is the main challenge of current MOT. In this paper, we propose a novel self-cross graph neural network-based multi-object tracking method, which we termed as SCGTracker. This method seamlessly integrates object detection and tracking through graph neural networks, building upon the foundation of the JDE paradigm. Specifically, we construct graph structures to capture the correlation between objects in both spatial and temporal dimensions. To further tackle the frequent ID switching problem, we employ an attention mechanism to aggregate object context information within the same frame and across different frames, updating the object information via graph neural networks to derive highly distinctive appearance features. Ultimately, the obtained strongly distinguishable object appearance features serve to mitigate the issue of frequent object ID switches. In experiments conducted on the MOT17 test set, our proposed method yields promising results, achieving a 73% Multiple Object Tracking Accuracy (MOTA) and a 73.2% ID F1 score. The battery management system is employed to monitor the external temperature of the lithium-ion battery in order to detect any potential overheating. However, this outside–in detection method often suffers from a lag and is therefore unable to accurately predict the battery's real-time state. Herein, an inside–out frequency response approach is used to accurately monitor the battery's state at various temperatures in real-time and correlate it with the solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) evolution of the graphite electrode. The SEI evolution at temperatures of −15, 25, 60, and 90 °C exhibits certain regular characteristics with temperature change. At a temperature of −15 °C, the Li+-solvent interaction of lithium-ion slowed down, resulting in a significant reduction in performance. At 25 °C, a LiF-rich inorganic SEI was identified as forming, which facilitated lithium-ion transportation. However, high temperatures would induce decomposition of lithium hexafluorophosphate (LiPF6) and lithium-ion electrolyte. At the extreme temperature of 90 °C, the SEI would be organic-rich, and LixPyFz, a decomposition product of lithium salts, was further oxidized to LixPOyFz, which led to a surge in the charge-transfer resistance at SEI (Rsei) and a reduction in Coulombic efficiency (CE). This changing relationship can be recorded in real time from the inside out by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) testing. Environmental changes can trigger endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress and misfolded protein accumulation, potentially leading to pre-eclampsia (PE). Amyloid-β (Aβ) is a crucial misfolded protein that can overactivate autophagy. Our study assessed the expression of Aβ1−42 and autophagic activity in PE placental tissues and trophoblasts under ER stress. Placental tissues were surgically collected from normal pregnant women (NP) and pregnant women with late-onset PE (LOPE) delivering through cesarean section. The expression levels of Aβ1−42 were detected in both PE and NP placental tissues, as well as in tunicamycin (TM)-induced HTR-8/SVneo cells. Autophagy-related proteins, such as Beclin-1, the ratio of LC3-II to LC3-I, ATG5, and SQSTM1/p62 in the placental tissues and HTR-8/SVneo cells were measured by Western blot. The number and morphology of autophagosomes were observed using transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Potential targets associated with the unfolded protein response (UPR) in the placental tissues of NP and PE cases were screened using PCR Arrays. The misfolded protein was significantly upregulated in the PE group. In both PE placental tissues and TM-induced HTR-8/SVneo cells, not only was Aβ1−42 upregulated, but also Beclin-1, ATG5, and LC3BII/I were significantly increased, accompanied by an increase in autophagosome count, while SQSTM1/P62 was downregulated. A total of 17 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) associated with the UPR were identified, among which elevated calnexin (CANX) was validated in the placenta from both PE and TM-induced HTR-8/SVneo cells. The display devices like HDR10 televisions are increasingly prevalent in our daily life for visualizing high dynamic range (HDR) images. But the majority of media images on the internet remain in 8-bit standard dynamic range (SDR) format. Therefore, converting SDR images to HDR ones by inverse tone mapping (ITM) is crucial to unlock the full potential of abundant media images. However, existing ITM methods are usually developed with complex network architectures requiring huge computational costs. In this paper, we propose a lightweight Improved Residual Network (IRNet) by enhancing the power of popular residual block for efficient ITM. Specifically, we propose a new Improved Residual Block (IRB) to extract and fuse multi-layer features for fine-grained HDR image reconstruction. Experiments on three benchmark datasets demonstrate that our IRNet achieves state-of-the-art performance on both the ITM and joint SR-ITM tasks. Purpose: The fragmentation of polyps affects complete resection confirmation. The primary aim of this study was to assess the feasibility of a novel polyp retrieval bag for reducing the fragmentation rate of colon polyps. Methods: Patients with a 5–15 mm colon polyp were recruited and randomized into two groups at a 1:1 ratio. After polyp resection, polyps obtained from patients in the treatment group were extracted via a novel polyp retrieval bag without traversing the instrument channel, whereas polyps obtained from patients in the control group were collected through the instrument channel, attaching the polyp trap to the instrument channel port, and applying suction. Results: From January to July 2022, 225 patients were assessed for eligibility. The study participants included 204 patients, and seven patients whose samples were not retrieved were excluded. Polyp fragmentation was significantly lower in the treatment group than in the control group (3.0% [3/100] vs. 17.5% [17/97], P = 0.001). The retrieval failure rates in the treatment group and control group were not significantly different (2.0% [2/102] vs. 4.9% [5/102], P = 0.442). There were fewer colonoscope insertions in the treatment group than in the control group (102 vs. 110), but a significant difference was not present (P = 0.065). No significant adverse events were observed during the follow-up. Conclusions: This study demonstrated that the polyp retrieval bag was safe and feasible for reducing the fragmentation rate of retrieved polyps. Background: Metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) is a growing threat leading to substantial disease burden globally. Poor sleep and physical inactivity are common in modern societies and independently associated with MAFLD, however, their joint effects on MAFLD remains unclear. Methods: This population-based cross-sectional study was conducted in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China, between July 2019 and September 2021. Self-reported sleep behaviors and physical activity (PA) were assessed using validated questionnaires. The primary outcome was radiological diagnosis of MAFLD. Results: Of the 10 089 participants aged 47.0 (9.1) years (51.6% men), 3854 (38.2%) individuals had MAFLD. Poor sleep quality and physical inactivity were independently and jointly associated with an increased prevalence of MAFLD, independent of traditional risk factors (P < 0.05). Compared to subjects with guideline-recommended moderate-to-vigorous PA (MVPA) and good sleep quality, individuals with no recommended MVPA and poor sleep had the highest possibility of MAFLD (odds ratio = 2.36, 95% confidence interval: 1.81 – 3.08). Enhancing sleep quality substantially attenuated MAFLD prevalence regardless of the volume of PA, whereas, engaging in PA well above current guidelines did not adequately counteract the adverse impacts of poor sleep on MAFLD. There are numerous differences between adult acne and adolescent acne in terms of causes, distribution, and characteristics of skin lesions, as well as treatment. This paper aims to summarize the differences between adult and adolescent acne in China, in order to propose more suitable ways to improve their quality of life. We collected basic information, acne-related information, acne-affecting factors, quality of life scores and treatment-related information of acne patients. A total of 552 questionnaires were collected. Adult acne is typically predominant on the cheeks, similar to adolescent acne, with a relatively lower incidence in other areas, apart from the jawline. Pigmentation and depressed scars are present in nearly half of acne patients, while hypertrophic scars are less frequently observed. Teenagers often have a higher consumption of dairy products, sugary drinks, and high-sugar and high-fat foods. Eczema is more common in adult acne. Additionally, more adults than teenagers experience stress and poor quality of life related to acne. Adolescents are more likely to seek treatment online and on social media. Objectives: To use T1ρ mapping to assess myocardial fibrosis and to provide a reference for future clinical application, it is necessary to understand the factors influencing T1ρ values. This study explored the influence of different spin-locking frequencies on T1ρ values under a 3.0-T MR system. Methods: Fifty-seven healthy subjects were prospectively and consecutively included in this study, and T1ρ mapping was performed on them in 3 short-axis slices with three spin-lock frequencies at the amplitude of 300 Hz, 400 Hz, and 500 Hz, then nine T1ρ images were acquired per subject. Four T1ρ-weighted images were acquired using a spin-lock preparation pulse with varying durations (0 msec, 13.3 msec, 26.6 msec, 40 msec). T1ρ relaxation times were quantified for each slice and each myocardial segment. The results were analyzed using Student's t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) methods. Results: Mean T1ρ relaxation times were 43.5 ± 2.8 msec at 300 Hz, 44.9 ± 3.6 msec at 400 Hz, and 46.2 ± 3.1 msec at 500 Hz, showing a significant progressive increase from low to high spin-lock frequency (300 Hz vs. 400 Hz, p = 0.046; 300 Hz vs. 500 Hz, p < 0.001; 400 Hz vs. 500 Hz, p = 0.043). In addition, The T1ρ values of females were significantly higher than those of males (300 Hz, p = 0.049; 400 Hz, p = 0.01; 500 Hz, p = 0.002). Conclusion: In this prospective study, myocardial T1ρ values for the specific CMR setting are provided, and we found that gender and spin-lock frequency can affect the T1ρ values. Excellent soft magnetic properties of the amorphous and nanocrystalline alloys are attributed to their unique microstructure. In this work, Fe73.5Si13.5-xNb3Cu1B9Px (x = 0, 3.5, 7, 10 at. %) amorphous ribbons have been fabricated using the melt spinning technique. The effect of annealing temperature (475 ~ 600 ℃) on the microstructure and soft magnetic properties have been studied. According to the results, the thermal stability of FeSiNbCuBP amorphous alloys was improved by the partial substitution of Si by P. Moreover, it was found that the grain growth of α-Fe (Si) phase can be restrained by the appropriate amount of P addition and result to a grain refinement of the alloys during annealing. Base on refinement grain size (9 nm) and optimal crystallization volume fraction (47%), Fe73.5Si10Nb3Cu1B9P3.5 nanocrystalline alloy with low coercivity of 0.02 A/m and high effective permeability of 3.22 × 104 was developed after annealed at 525 ℃. For addressing the issue of limited durable antibacterial cotton fabric, this study developed and synthesized quaternary ammonium salt antimicrobial agents. The chemical structure was analyzed by FTIR and 1H NMR. The cotton fabric was subjected to surface modification techniques, such as pad-dry-cure, following the careful selection of appropriate quaternary ammonium salt. The chemical state and surface morphology were evaluated through XPS and SEM. Furthermore, the cotton fabric underwent comprehensive assessments, which included antibacterial testing, laundering cycle testing, evaluation of mechanical properties, and analysis of comfort performance. The results demonstrated that the treated cotton fabric achieved a high bacteriostatic and fungistatic rate of 99.99%, 87.5%, and 99.99% against S. aureus, E. coli, and C. albicans respectively even after 50 laundering cycles, while maintaining exceptional antibacterial effectiveness and laundering durability due to the formation of covalent bonds with the cotton fabric. The treated cotton fabric met AAA grade standards for antibacterial rate without causing any significant decline in mechanical properties. Severe corneal cryoinjury can cause permanent corneal swelling and bullous keratopathy, one of the main reason for loss of sight. Mouse amniotic fluid mesenchymal stem cells (mAF-MSCs) can repair corneal damage caused by freezing; however, whether the exosomes derived from mAF-MSCs have the same repair effect is unknown. In this study, the mAF-MSC-exosomes were transplanted into the eyeballs of corneal cryoinjured mice. Histopathological examination showed that the mAF-MSC-exosomes improved the corneal structure and status of corneal epithelial cells in corneal cryoinjured mice. RRBS-sequencing showed that compared with the control group, four genes (Rpl13-ps6, miR-33, Hymai, and Plagl1), underwent DNA hypermethylation modification after mAF-MSC-exosomes treatment. The result of FISH indicated that miR-33-3p hybridization signals were enhanced in corneal epithelial cells from mice treated with mAF-MSC-exosomes. Semi-quantitative PCR and western blotting indicated that mAF-MSC-exosomes contained high levels of DNMT1 mRNA and protein. Additionally, luciferase report assays indicated that miR-33-3p overexpression in NIH-3T3 mouse embryonic fibroblast cells inhibited the activity of luciferase carrying a sequence from the 3' untranslated region of Bcl6. Moreover, BCL6 mRNA and protein levels in corneal tissues from mice treated with mAF-MSC-exosomes were higher than those in the control group. Therefore, our results suggested that mAF-MSC-exosomes could repair corneal cryoinjury by releasing DNMT1, which induced hypermethylation of the miR-33 promoter in corneal epithelial cells. Epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT) occurring in retinal pigment epithelial cells (RPE) is a crucial mechanism that contributes to the development of age-related macular degeneration (AMD), a pivotal factor leading to permanent vision impairment. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have emerged as critical regulators orchestrating EMT in RPE cells. In this study, we explored the function of the lncRNA CYTOR (cytoskeleton regulator RNA) in EMT of RPE cells and its underlying mechanisms. Through weighted correlation network analysis, we identified CYTOR as an EMT-related lncRNA associated with AMD. Experimental validation revealed that CYTOR orchestrates TGF-β1-induced EMT, as well as proliferation and migration of ARPE-19 cells. Further investigation demonstrated the involvement of CYTOR in regulating the WNT5A/NFAT1 pathway and NFAT1 intranuclear translocation in the ARPE-19 cell EMT model. Mechanistically, CHIP, EMSA and dual luciferase reporter assays confirmed NFAT1's direct binding to CYTOR's promoter, promoting transcription. Reciprocally, CYTOR overexpression promoted NFAT1 expression, while NFAT1 overexpression increased CYTOR transcription. These findings highlight a mutual promotion between CYTOR and NFAT1, forming a positive feedback loop that triggers the EMT phenotype in ARPE-19 cells. These discoveries provide valuable insights into the molecular mechanisms of EMT and its association with AMD, offering potential avenues for targeted therapies in EMT-related conditions, including AMD. Heart failure (HF) can be caused by a variety of causes characterized by abnormal myocardial systole and diastole. Ca2+ current through the L-type calcium channel (LTCC) on the membrane is the initial trigger signal for a cardiac cycle. Declined systole and diastole in HF are associated with dysfunction of myocardial Ca2+ function. This disorder can be correlated with unbalanced levels of phosphorylation / dephosphorylation of LTCC, endoplasmic reticulum (ER), and myofilament. Kinase and phosphatase activity changes along with HF progress, resulting in phased changes in the degree of phosphorylation / dephosphorylation. It is important to realize the phosphorylation / dephosphorylation differences between a normal and a failing heart. This review focuses on phosphorylation / dephosphorylation changes in the progression of HF and summarizes the effects of phosphorylation / dephosphorylation of LTCC, ER function, and myofilament function in normal conditions and HF based on previous experiments and clinical research. In recent years, due to the frequent occurrence of accidents in confined space operations, horizontal ammonia tank trucks with higher accident frequencies were selected for numerical simulation research through comparative analysis. The ammonia concentration variation characteristics of horizontal ammonia tank cars were simulated under four conditions: natural ventilation with 0° incoming air, natural ventilation with 45° incoming air, mechanical ventilation with extraction, and mechanical ventilation with compression. The results indicate that natural ventilation requires 48 h to reduce the ammonia concentration to a safe range for operation, while mechanical ventilation reduces the ammonia concentration to infinity and approaches zero within 30 min according to regulations, making the working environment safer; Set up monitoring points inside the tank to monitor the gas disturbance inside the tank at different wind speeds. Based on the ammonia concentration cloud map and the monitoring point wind speed, it can be concluded that local ammonia accumulation is more likely to occur on both sides of the tank due to poor ventilation. Comparing and analyzing the simulated values with theoretical calculations and experiments, it was found that there are differences in the degree of gas change but the overall trend is the same. Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a common autoimmune disease, and its pathogenesis mainly involves the aberrant activation of B cells through follicular helper T (Tfh) cells to produce pathogenic antibodies, which requires more effective and safe treatment methods. Dihydroartemisinin (DHA) is the main active ingredient of artemisinin and has immunosuppressive effects. In this study, in vitro experiments confirmed that DHA inhibited Tfh cell induction and weakened its auxiliary function in B cell differentiation; furthermore, DHA directly inhibited B cell activation, differentiation, and antibody production. Furthermore, a mouse model of SLE was established, and we confirmed that DHA significantly reduced the symptoms of SLE and lupus nephritis, and decreased serum immunoglobulin (Ig)G, IgM, IgA, and anti-dsDNA levels. Moreover, DHA reduced the frequencies of total Tfh cells, activated Tfh cells, and B cell lymphoma 6, and interleukin (IL)-21 levels in Tfh cells from the spleen and lymph nodes, as well as the levels of B cells, germinal center B cells, and plasma cells in the spleen, lymph nodes, and kidneys. Additionally, DHA inhibited Tfh cells by blocking IL-2-inducible T cell kinase (ITK) signaling and its downstream nuclear factor (NF)-κB, nuclear factor of activated T cell, and activating protein-1 pathways, and directly inhibited B cells by blocking Bruton's tyrosine kinase (BTK) signaling and the downstream NF-κB and Myc pathways. Overall, our results demonstrated that DHA inhibited Tfh cells by blocking ITK signaling and also directly inhibited B cells by blocking BTK signaling.
