Exploration of the intricate connections between long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) and diseases, referred to as lncRNA-disease associations (LDAs), plays a pivotal and indispensable role in unraveling the underlying molecular mechanisms of diseases and devising practical treatment approaches. It is imperative to employ computational methods for predicting lncRNA-disease associations to circumvent the need for superfluous experimental endeavors. Graph-based learning models have gained substantial popularity in predicting these associations, primarily because of their capacity to leverage node attributes and relationships within the network. Nevertheless, there remains much room for enhancing the performance of these techniques by incorporating and harmonizing the node attributes more effectively. In this context, we introduce a novel model, i.e., Adaptive Message Passing and Feature Fusion (AMPFLDAP), for forecasting lncRNA-disease associations within a heterogeneous network. Firstly, we constructed a heterogeneous network involving lncRNA, microRNA (miRNA), and diseases based on established associations and employing Gaussian interaction profile kernel similarity as a measure. Then, an adaptive topological message passing mechanism is suggested to address the information aggregation for heterogeneous networks. The topological features of nodes in the heterogeneous network were extracted based on the adaptive topological message passing mechanism. Moreover, an attention mechanism is applied to integrate both topological and semantic information to achieve the multimodal features of biomolecules, which are further used to predict potential LDAs. The experimental results demonstrated that the performance of the proposed AMPFLDAP is superior to seven state-of-the-art methods. Furthermore, to validate its efficacy in practical scenarios, we conducted detailed case studies involving three distinct diseases, which conclusively demonstrated AMPFLDAP's effectiveness in the prediction of LDAs. The uncontrolled dendrite growth and volume change of Li metal during cycling lead to a short cycle life and safety concerns for Li-metal batteries, which hinders their practical application. Herein, we report the facile and energy-saving production of a three-dimensional (3D) CuZn matrix decorated with in-situ formed ZnO nano seeds (ZnO NS@3D CuZn) in pores and tunnels, which can serve as an anode current collector for dendrite-free Li-metal batteries. The 3D porous framework reduced the anode current density and accommodated Li volume change during the charge/discharge process. More importantly, the lithiophilic ZnO nano seeds induced fast Li deposition into the pores and tunnels of the 3D structure to effectively confine the deposited Li. As a positive effect, the volume change and Li dendrite growth during cycling are greatly suppressed. The half-cell with the ZnO NS@3D CuZn current collector exhibited a Coulombic efficiency (CE) of above 98% for over 320 and 240 cycles at 0.5 and 1 mA·cm−2, respectively. The Li@ZnO NS@3D CuZn symmetric cell achieves a lifespan of over 1500 h. Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) are characterized by social and repetitive abnormalities. Although the ASD mouse model with Shank3b mutations is widely used in ASD research, the behavioral phenotype of this model has not been fully elucidated. Here, a 3D-motion capture system and linear discriminant analysis were used to comprehensively record and analyze the behavioral patterns of male and female Shank3b mutant mice. It was found that both sexes replicated the core and accompanied symptoms of ASD, with significant sex differences. Further, Shank3b heterozygous knockout mice exhibited distinct autistic behaviors, that were significantly different from those those observed in the wild type and homozygous knockout groups. Our findings provide evidence for the inclusion of both sexes and experimental approaches to efficiently characterize heterozygous transgenic models, which are more clinically relevant in autistic studies. Nasal vaccination elicits a humoral immune response that provides protection from airborne pathogens1, yet the origins and specific immune niches of antigen-specific IgA-secreting cells in the upper airways are unclear2. Here we define nasal glandular acinar structures and the turbinates as immunological niches that recruit IgA-secreting plasma cells from the nasal-associated lymphoid tissues (NALTs)3. Using intact organ imaging, we demonstrate that nasal vaccination induces B cell expansion in the subepithelial dome of the NALT, followed by invasion into commensal-bacteria-driven chronic germinal centres in a T cell-dependent manner. Initiation of the germinal centre response in the NALT requires pre-expansion of antigen-specific T cells, which interact with cognate B cells in interfollicular regions. NALT ablation and blockade of PSGL-1, which mediates interactions with endothelial cell selectins, demonstrated that NALT-derived IgA-expressing B cells home to the turbinate region through the circulation, where they are positioned primarily around glandular acinar structures. CCL28 expression was increased in the turbinates in response to vaccination and promoted homing of IgA+ B cells to this site. Thus, in response to nasal vaccination, the glandular acini and turbinates provide immunological niches that host NALT-derived IgA-secreting cells. The characteristics and heterogeneity of coal pores are crucial for understanding the production mechanism of coalbed methane (CBM). In this study, coal samples with varying degrees of metamorphism (0.58% ≤ RO, max ≤ 3.44%) were collected. The characteristics of pore development and the heterogeneous properties of pores were revealed through low-temperature nitrogen adsorption (LTNA) and low-field nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experiments. The results indicate that pores with varying diameters exhibit favorable development in low-rank coals, along with favorable pores connectivity. The micropores composition of middle-rank coals was found to be 73.56%, however, the connectivity among transitional, meso, and macropores was observed to be poor. In high-rank coals, the proportion of micropores was 92.74%, with numerous micropores being closed or semi-closed. This resulted in inferior connectivity between micropores and transitional pores. As coal metamorphism progressed, the DL1 (characterizing the roughness of adsorption pores (AP) surface, ranging from 2.13 to 2.45) and DL2 (characterizing the complexity of AP structure, ranging from 2.56 to 2.77) initially decreased and then increased, whereas the DN (characterizing the heterogeneity of seepage pores (SP), ranging from 2.92 to 2.95) consistently improved. Furthermore, the roughness of pore surface and the complexity of pore structure in AP increased as the specific surface area and volume of pores increased. On the contrary, as the SP content increased, the uniformity of the pore structure improved. Thermal insulation materials play an increasingly important role in protecting mechanical parts functioning at high temperatures. In this study, a new porous high-entropy (La1/6Ce1/6Pr1/6Sm1/6Eu1/6Gd1/6)PO4 (HE (6RE1/6)PO4) ceramics was prepared by combining the high-entropy method with the pore-forming agent method and the effect of different starch contents (0–60vol%) on this ceramic properties was systematically investigated. The results show that the porous HE (6RE1/6)PO4 ceramics with 60vol% starch exhibit the lowest thermal conductivity of 0.061 W·m−1·K−1 at room temperature and good pore structure stability with a linear shrinkage of approximately 1.67%. Moreover, the effect of large regular spherical pores (>10 µm) on its thermal insulation performance was discussed, and an optimal thermal conductivity prediction model was screened. Double concave friction pendulum system (DCFPS) performs well in the vibration control of building structures, while its effectiveness is limited due to the absence of considering the interrelation between design parameters, ground motion (GM) characteristics, friction heating and seismic responses. By systematically evaluating the optimum design parameters for DCFPS under different strong GM classifications and taking into account the effect of friction heating, this paper contributes a comprehensive understanding of the optimum design solutions for DCFPS. To provide a precise characterization of the effect of friction heating and loading conditions on the responses, an analytical model for DCFPS in the SDOF structure is established, and its accuracy in characterizing the friction heating effect is validated by full-scale bearings under different dynamic loading conditions. Based on this, the friction coefficient considering the influence of friction heating under strong GMs is applied in the seismic design. Subsequently, from the perspective of GM generation, strong GM records are categorized based on earthquake magnitude, distance-to-fault and soil conditions to indicate their magnitudes and spectral attributes. Then, the optimal design parameters are investigated for different GM classifications considering the effect of friction heating and response restrictions using response magnitude as criterion, and the effect of GM characteristics on the response and design parameters of DCFPS is investigated. It was found that, the consideration of residual displacement restriction and friction heating shows critical influence on the optimum selection of design parameters. Furthermore, the optimum friction coefficient is highly related to distance-to-fault, while the optimum range of isolation period is minimally influenced by GM characteristics. The Contrastive Language-Image Pre-training model (CLIP) has recently gained attention in the zero-shot domain. However it still falls short in addressing cross-modal perception, and the semantic gap between seen and unseen classes in Zero-Shot Sketch-Based Image Retrieval (ZS-SBIR). To overcome these obstacles, we propose a Task-Like Training paradigm (TLT). In this work, we view the cross-modal perception and the semantic gap as a multi-task learning process. Before tackling the challenges, we fully utilize CLIP's text encoder and propose text-based identification learning mechanism to assist the model to learn discriminative features quickly. Next, we propose text prompt tutoring and the cross-modal consistency learning to solve cross-modal perception and the semantic gap, respectively. Meanwhile, we present a collaborative architecture to explore the potential shared information between tasks. Highlights: Evaporation and solution two-step hybrid process are used to fabricate conformal growth of perovskite film on textured silicon substrates. F-PMAI additive enlarged the perovskite grains, induced the (111) preferred orientation and passivated interface defects. We obtained a champion efficiency of 30.05% for a monolithic perovskite/silicon tandem solar cell based on a silicon thin film tunneling junction. Monolithic textured perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells (TSCs) are expected to achieve maximum light capture at the lowest cost, potentially exhibiting the best power conversion efficiency. However, it is challenging to fabricate high-quality perovskite films and preferred crystal orientation on commercially textured silicon substrates with micrometer-size pyramids. Here, we introduced a bulky organic molecule (4-fluorobenzylamine hydroiodide (F-PMAI)) as a perovskite additive. It is found that F-PMAI can retard the crystallization process of perovskite film through hydrogen bond interaction between F− and FA+ and reduce (111) facet surface energy due to enhanced adsorption energy of F-PMAI on the (111) facet. Besides, the bulky molecular is extruded to the bottom and top of perovskite film after crystal growth, which can passivate interface defects through strong interaction between F-PMA+ and undercoordinated Pb2+/I−. As a result, the additive facilitates the formation of large perovskite grains and (111) preferred orientation with a reduced trap-state density, thereby promoting charge carrier transportation, and enhancing device performance and stability. The perovskite/silicon TSCs achieved a champion efficiency of 30.05% based on a silicon thin film tunneling junction. In addition, the devices exhibit excellent long-term thermal and light stability without encapsulation. This work provides an effective strategy for achieving efficient and stable TSCs. Traditional image detail enhancement is local filter-based or global filter-based. In both approaches, the original image is first divided into the base layer and the detail layer, and then the enhanced image is obtained by amplifying the detail layer. Our method is different, and its innovation lies in the special way to get the image detail layer. The detail layer in our method is obtained by updating the residual features, and the updating mechanism is usually based on searching and matching similar patches. However, due to the diversity of image texture features, perfect matching is often not possible. In this paper, the process of searching and matching is treated as a thermodynamic process, where the Metropolis theorem can minimize the internal energy and get the global optimal solution of this task, that is, to find a more suitable feature for a better detail enhancement performance. Extensive experiments have proven that our algorithm can achieve better results in quantitative metrics testing and visual effects evaluation. Background: The metastasis accounts for most deaths from breast cancer (BRCA). Understanding the molecular mechanisms of BRCA metastasis is urgently demanded. Flap Endonuclease 1 (FEN1), a pivotal factor in DNA metabolic pathways, contributes to tumor growth and drug resistance, however, little is known about the role of FEN1 in BRCA metastasis. Methods and results: In this study, FEN1 expression and its clinical correlation in BRCA were investigated using bioinformatics, showing being upregulated in BRCA samples and significant relationships with tumor stage, node metastasis, and prognosis. Immunohistochemistry (IHC) staining of local BRCA cohort indicated that the ratio of high FEN1 expression in metastatic BRCA tissues rose over that in non-metastatic tissues. The assays of loss-of-function and gain-of-function showed that FEN1 enhanced BRCA cell proliferation, migration, invasion, xenograft growth as well as lung metastasis. It was further found that FEN1 promoted the aggressive behaviors of BRCA cells via Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 3 (STAT3) activation. Specifically, the STAT3 inhibitor Stattic thwarted the FEN1-induced enhancement of migration and invasion, while the activator IL-6 rescued the decreased migration and invasion caused by FEN1 knockdown. Additionally, overexpression of FEN1 rescued the inhibitory effect of nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) inhibitor BAY117082 on phosphorylated STAT3. Simultaneously, the knockdown of FEN1 attenuated the phosphorylation of STAT3 promoted by the NF-κB activator tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α). Context: The interface of Hsp70-Bim protein–protein interaction (PPI) has been identified as a specific target for Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) therapy and the specific inhibitors were developed to exhibit in vivo anti-leukemia activities. Herein, we explored the binding mechanism of a Hsp70-Bim inhibitor, 6-(cyclohexylthio)-3-((2-morpholinoethyl) amino)-1-oxo-1H-phenalene-2-carbonitrile (S1g-6), to Hsp70 at the atomic level by MD simulation. TYR-149, THR-222, ALA-223, and GLY-224 on Hsp70 were identified as four key residues that contribute to Hsp70/S1g-6 complex. Moreover, the site mutation validation demonstrated the TYR-149 of Hsp70 is a "hot-spot" in the Hsp70-Bim PPI interface. These results could benefit the design of further inhibitors to occupy the Bim binding site on the Hsp70 surface. Methods: The binding mechanism of S1g-6 and Hsp70 was predicted through the molecular dynamics (MD) method by Gromacs-2021.3. The MD simulation was performed with 100-ps NVT and 100-ps NPT ensemble, and the force field was chosen as the Charmm36 force field. MYB transcription factors play a key role in anthocyanin biosynthesis. However, there are few reports on MYB transcription factors that can regulate anthocyanin biosynthesis in potato. In this study, the StMYB113 gene was isolated from potato and characterized. Transient activation experiments showed that the StMYB113 gene could promote anthocyanin biosynthesis in tobacco leaves by enhancing the expression of genes encoding anthocyanin biosynthesis-related enzymes. In addition, overexpression of the StMYB113 gene promoted anthocyanin accumulation in potato tuber skin. Furthermore, transient luciferase analysis showed that StMYB113 enhanced the promoter activities of StF3H and StDFR genes significantly. These results indicated that the StMYB113 gene could promote anthocyanin accumulation in potato tuber skin by directly activating the expression of StF3H and StDFR. The promoter activity of StMYB113 was significantly higher in light than in dark conditions, suggesting that the expression of StMYB113 is induced by light. Moving object detection (MOD) is one of the most important and challenging tasks in analyzing videos. Recently, emerging gigapixel-level videos have attracted considerable attention due to its large field of view and high spatial resolution. So far, there is not much research on moving object detection in the field of gigapixel-level videos. To detect moving objects in gigapixel-level videos, we propose a novel manifold sparse representation (MSR) method for detecting moving objects in gigapixel-level videos. The innovation of this method lies in introducing sparse representation to promote global structure and utilizing manifold learning to retain the local structure of moving objects. Then, to solve the explicit solutions of this problem, an efficient optimization scheme based on the manifold alternating direction method of multipliers (MADMM) is developed. Finally, the extensive experiments on three challenging benchmark MOD datasets, three samples from the gigapixel-level PANDA dataset (gigaPixel-level humAN-centric viDeo dAtaset), and one real wide area video dataset are executed to demonstrate the superiority of the proposed MSR. Acetamiprid (ACE) is a highly effective broad-spectrum insecticide, and its widespread use is potentially harmful to human health and environmental safety. In this study, magnetic Fe3O4/carbon (Fe3O4/C), a derivative of metal–organic framework MIL-101 (Fe), was synthesized by a two-step calcination method. And a fluorescent sensing strategy was developed for the efficient and sensitive detection of ACE using Fe3O4/C and multiple complementary single-stranded DNA (ssDNA). By using aptamer with multiple complementary ssDNA, the immunity of interference of the aptasensor was improved, and the aptasensor showed high selectivity and sensitivity. When ACE was present, the aptamer (Apt) combined with ACE. The complementary strand of Apt (Cs1) combined with two short complementary strands of Cs1, fluorophore 6-carboxyfluorescein-labeled complementary strand (Cs2-FAM) and the other strand Cs3. The three strands formed a double-stranded structure, and fluorescence would not be quenched by Fe3O4/C. In the absence of ACE, Cs2-FAM would be in a single-chain state and would be adsorbed by Fe3O4/C, and the fluorescence of FAM would be quenched by Fe3O4/C via photoelectron transfer. This aptasensor sensitively detected ACE over a linear concentration range of 10–1000 nM with a limit of detection of 3.41 nM. Both exercise and metformin are common effective clinical treatments of type 2 diabetic mellitus. This study investigated the functional role of exercise, metformin, and combination treatment on type 2 diabetic mellitus–induced muscle atrophy. In this experiment, a total of 10 BKS mice were set as the control group. A total of 40 BKS-db/db mice were randomly divided into the control group (db/db); the exercise intervention group (db/db + Ex), which ran on a treadmill at 7–12 m/min, 30–40 min/day, 5 days/week; the metformin administration group (db/db + Met), which was administered 300 mg/kg of metformin solution by gavage daily; and the exercise combined with metformin administration group (db/db + Ex + Met). After 8 weeks of intervention, their tibialis anterior muscles were removed. The levels of insulin signaling pathway proteins, ubiquitin proteasome, and autophagic lysosome–associated proteins were detected using western blot, the expression of MuRF1 and Atrogin-1 was detected using immunohistochemical staining, and the degradation of autophagosomes was detected using double-labeled immunofluorescence. The db/db mice exhibited reduced insulin sensitivity and inhibition of the autophagic–lysosome system, the ubiquitin–proteasome system was activated, and protein degradation was exacerbated, leading to skeletal muscle atrophy. Exercise and metformin and their combined interventions can increase insulin sensitivity, whereas exercise alone showed more effective in inhibiting the ubiquitin–proteasome system, improving autophagy levels, and alleviating skeletal muscle atrophy. Compared with metformin, exercise demonstrated superior improvement of muscle atrophy by promoting the synthesis and degradation of autophagy through the AMPK/ULK1 pathway. Recent methodological advances in quantitative wood anatomy have provided new insights into the climatic responses of radial growth at the scale of cell structure of tree rings. This study considered long-term chronologies of tracheid measurements, indexed by a novel approach to separate their specific climatic responses from signal recorded in cell production (closely reflected in tree-ring width). To fill gaps in understanding the impact of climate on conifer xylem structure, Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) trees > 200 years old were selected within the forest-steppe zone in southern Siberia. Such habitats undergo mild moisture deficits and the resulting climatic regulation of growth processes. Mean and maximum values of cell radial diameter and cell wall thickness were recorded for each tree ring. Despite a low level of climatogenic stress, components of cell chronologies independent of cambial activity were separated to obtain significant climatic signals revealing the timing of the specific stages of tracheid differentiation. Cell expansion lasted from mid-April to July and was impacted similarly to tree-ring width (stimulated by precipitation and stressed by heat), maximum cell size formed late June. A switch in the climatic responses of mean anatomical traits indicated transition to latewood in mid-July. Secondary wall deposition lasted until mid-September, suppressed by end of season temperatures. Purpose: To analyze the selection of endovascular treatment strategies and the efficacy of various locations and types of splenic artery aneurysms (SAAs). Methods: Sixty-three cases of patients diagnosed with SAA from January 2016 to October 2021 were collected, and their clinical data and follow-up results were analyzed. Results: Among the 63 patients, 55 had true SAAs, and 8 had false SAAs. The average diameter of the true SAAs was 2.0 ± 0.8 cm. There were 10 cases of intra-aneurysm embolization, 24 cases of intra-aneurysm and aneurysm-bearing artery embolization, 10 cases of bare stent-assisted coil embolization, and 11 cases of stent grafts. The false SAAs had an average diameter of 2.3 ± 1.1 cm. Aneurysm-bearing artery embolization was applied in 5 cases, and stent grafts were applied in 3 cases. The incidence of complications after embolization of the aneurysm-bearing artery was higher (P < 0.01). Postembolization syndrome occurred in 10 patients; 7 patients developed splenic infarction to varying degrees, 1 patient had mildly elevated blood amylase, and 1 patient developed splenic necrosis with abscess formation, all of which improved after active treatment. The average length of hospital stay was 5.5 ± 3.2 days. The average follow-up time was 17.2 ± 16.1 months, and the aneurysm cavity of all patients was completely thrombotic. Conclusion: Endovascular treatments of SAAs are safe and effective. For various locations and types of SAAs, adequate selection of treatment is necessary. Subcortical brain regions play essential roles in the pathology of social anxiety disorder (SAD). While adolescence is the peak period of SAD, the relationships between altered development of the subcortical regions during this period and SAD are still unclear. This study investigated the age-dependent alterations in structural co-variance among subcortical regions and between subcortical and cortical regions, aiming to reflect aberrant coordination during development in the adolescent with SAD. High-resolution T1-weighted images were obtained from 76 adolescents with SAD and 67 healthy controls (HC), ranging from 11 to 17.9 years. Symptom severity was evaluated with the Social Anxiety Scale for Children (SASC) and the Depression Self Rating Scale for Children (DSRS-C). Structural co-variance and sliding age-window analyses were used to detect age-dependent group differences in inter-regional coordination patterns among subcortical regions and between subcortical and cortical regions. The volume of the striatum significantly correlated with SAD symptom severity. The SAD group exhibited significantly enhanced structural co-variance among key regions of the striatum (putamen and caudate). While the co-variance decreased with age in healthy adolescents, the co-variance in SAD adolescents stayed high, leading to more apparent group differences in middle adolescence. Moreover, the striatum's mean structural co-variance with cortical regions decreased with age in HC but increased with age in SAD. Adolescents with SAD suffer aberrant developmental coordination among the key regions of the striatum and between the striatum and cortical regions. As a main electronic material, X-ray circuits are widely used in various electronic devices, and their quality has an important impact on the overall quality of electronic products. In the process of mass production of circuit boards, due to the large number of layers, tight lines and some harmful external factors, circuit board quality may be problematic. Detecting circuit board defects are important for improving the reliability of electronic products. This paper introduces deep learning and artificial intelligence technology to conduct research on the automatic detection of X-ray circuit board defects. The study used a defect detection system to study X-ray circuit boards as a detection object and obtained the structure, lighting system and composition of the detection system. The working principle of the detection system is explained, and the image is preprocessed. Testing the processing performance of the PCB defect detection system, when the number of pixels is 6526, 7028, 7530 and 8032, the time consumption ratios between the proposed detection system and image processing on a traditional PC are 35.17%, 35.4%, 35% and 35.28%, respectively. Assessment of the prosthetic gait is an important clinical approach to evaluate the quality and functionality of the prescribed lower limb prosthesis as well as to monitor rehabilitation progresses following limb amputation. Limited access to quantitative assessment tools generally affects the repeatability and consistency of prosthetic gait assessments in clinical practice. The rapidly developing wearable technology industry provides an alternative to objectively quantify prosthetic gait in the unconstrained environment. This study employs a neural network-based model in estimating three-dimensional body segmental orientation of the lower limb amputees during gait. Using a wearable system with inertial sensors attached to the lower limb segments, thirteen individuals with lower limb amputation performed two-minute walk tests on a robotic foot and a passive foot. The proposed model replicates features of a complementary filter to estimate drift free three-dimensional orientation of the intact and prosthetic limbs. The results indicate minimal estimation biases and high correlation, validating the ability of the proposed model to reproduce the properties of a complementary filter while avoiding the drawbacks, most notably in the transverse plane due to gravitational acceleration and magnetic disturbance. Results of this study also demonstrates the capability of the well-trained model to accurately estimate segmental orientation, regardless of amputation level, in different types of locomotion task. The task of estimating the fundamental frequency of an audio signal, also known as pitch tracking, has been a long-standing research area in speech signal processing. Recently, there has been a growing interest in data-driven pitch tracking methods that leverage deep learning technologies. However, deep learning-based pitch tracking models often neglect the methodologies employed in well-established signal processing-based pitch tracking algorithms, which incorporate valuable prior knowledge. Motivated by this, we propose Neural RAPT, an interpretable neural network-based pitch tracking model that incorporates signal processing knowledge from RAPT. The proposed model consists of a front-end module and a back-end module. The front-end module adopts the U-Net structure, which inherently involves downsampling and upsampling processes similar to RAPT. To enhance the U-Net, we introduce a neural autocorrelation function (ACF) module using masked CNN, along with a normalization layer that models the sample pair-wise product in the normalized cross-correlation function (NCCF). The back-end module is based on the Transformer architecture. The model is evaluated by pitch tracking experiments on the PTDB-TUG database and noisy mixtures with the NOISEX-92 database at different SNRs. The experimental results demonstrate that incorporating algorithmic knowledge into the model design leads to improved performance. The proposed model inherits the advantages of high accuracy from traditional pitch tracking algorithms, while also benefiting from the noise robustness offered by neural network-based methods. Improving the deformation coordination ability of unequal length pile groups is a key point in the application of pile foundation engineering. This study proposed a new concept of rock-socketed pile (RSP) with reduced constraint part, and developed a laboratory model test device to explore the horizontal bearing capacity of unequal length pile groups under various rock inclination angles and reduced constraint part length. Thus, this device revealed the mechanism of decreased RSP group stiffness with the reduced constraint. The results indicated that a smaller inclination angle resulted in a longer unconstrained part of the pile and a larger overall horizontal deformation. The reduced constraint part can significantly adjust the overall displacement of the piles for the same inclination angle. The larger the length of the reduced constraint part, the larger the displacement of the RSP pile top. Under the same loading conditions, increasing both the pile and RSP part lengths of the reduced constraint can reduce the pile bending moment. The use of the reduced constraint part is equivalent to an increase in the length of the piles after adjusting the stiffness of the relatively short piles. Studies have reported that cytokines and their related signaling pathways play a role in inner ear diseases. In clinical practice, approximately 50% of pediatric cancer patients experience irreversible hearing loss after cisplatin treatment. However, currently, there is a lack of systematic research on the causal relationship between circulating cytokines and cisplatin-induced hearing loss in children. Genetic variant data for 41 circulating cytokines were obtained from a meta-analysis of genome-wide association studies (GWAS) among 8293 individuals of Finnish descent. The GWAS data for Cisplatin-induced hearing loss in children were derived from a multicenter cohort of European pediatric cancer patients and survivors (N = 390), including both cases with hearing loss after cisplatin chemotherapy and controls without hearing loss. Multiple methods were employed for bidirectional Mendelian randomization (MR) estimation. Bonferroni correction was applied to adjust the original P-values, followed by a series of sensitivity analyses. In the directional Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis, it was found that IL-17 was significantly associated with a reduced risk of Cisplatin-induced hearing loss in children (OR: 0.18, CI: 0.06–0.48, P < 0.001, FDR = 0.041). In the reverse MR analysis, there were some nominal causal relationships of Cisplatin-induced hearing loss in children with certain cytokines [M-CSF: (OR: 1.04, CI: 1.01–1.08, P = 0.010, FDR = 0.41); IL-2RA: (OR: 1.03, CI: 1.00–1.05, P = 0.044, FDR = 0.447); MIP-1β: (OR: 1.02, CI: 1.00–1.04, P = 0.041, FDR = 0.447)]. leave-one-out analysis demonstrated that only M-CSF exhibited stability. These findings reveal a causal relationship between IL-17 and cisplatin-induced hearing loss in children. The present aims to investigate the mechanical characteristics and energy evolution in rock masses containing weak structural planes under conventional triaxial loading conditions. Using a fluid–solid coupling test system of coal rock, numerous conventional triaxial compression tests were performed on rock masses at various dip angles of the structural plane. The obtained empirical outcomes revealed that the deviatoric stress–strain curve of the weak structural plane rock mass with an inclination angle greater than 20° rises step-by-step. On the macro level, slip-stability occurs on the upper and lower parts of the rock mass on the weak structural plane. Then mechanism of the slip-stability phenomenon is explored by analyzing the stress level in the rock mass with various inclination angles. It is found that the energy evolution during deformation and failure reflects the damaged state of the rock. Accordingly, the concept of 'slip dissipation energy' is proposed, and the values of each energy are calculated. The results have a good correspondence with the deviatoric stress–strain curve. Furthermore, it was found that the energy evolution of rock mass with a weak structural plane can be primarily classified into four stages, including storage of the initial energy, slip dissipation, abrupt increase in the pre-peak dissipation energy, and sudden drop in post-peak energy. Rock masses with various levels of dip angles exhibit similar elastic strain energy and dissipation energy at the peak point, demonstrating that energy evolution is dominated by energy storage and dissipation. At the same time, a negative correlation is observed between the structural plane dip angle and the occurrence of instantaneous impact instability failure in rock masses, indicating that a greater dip angle makes the rock mass less prone to experiencing instantaneous impact instability failure. Background: To assess the image quality feasibility and diagnostic value of zoomed diffusion-weighted imaging (z-EPI DWI) using echo-planar imaging (EPI) compared with conventional DWI (c-EPI DWI) in patients with periampullary disease. Methods: Thirty-six patients with periampullary carcinomas and fifteen with benign periampullary disease were included in this study. All the subjects underwent MR cholangiopancreatography (MRCP), c-EPI DWI, and z-EPI DWI. Two radiologists independently assessed image quality of the two image sets, including overall image quality and lesion conspicuity. In addition, signal intensity and ADC measurements of DWIs in the periampullary lesions were conducted. Diagnostic accuracies of the combined image sets of MRCP and z-EPI DWI were compared with those of a combined set of MRCP and c-EPI DWI. Results: z-EPI DWI showed significantly better image quality scores (anatomic structure visualization, 2.94 ± 0.24; overall image quality, 2.96 ± 0.17) compared to that with c-EPI DWI (anatomic structure visualization, 2.02 ± 0.22; overall image quality, 2.04 ± 0.24) (both P < 0.01). For all the periampullary malignant lesions and small lesions (≤ 20 mm), there was better delineation of lesion conspicuity and the lesion margin, as well as diagnostic confidence with z-EPI DWI (all P < 0.05). The rate of periampullary malignancy's hyperintense signal on z-EPI DWI was increased to 91.7% (33/36) compared to c-EPI DWI (69.4% (25/36)) (P = 0.023). For all malignant lesions and small lesions, the diagnostic accuracy scores were increased using the MRCP and z-EPI DWI combined set, compared to the MRCP and c-EPI DWI combined set (P < 0.05). Diagnostic accuracy for detection and differentiation of malignant lesions from benign lesions significantly improved for the MRCP and z-EPI DWI combined set compared with MRCP and c-EPI DWI combined set (P < 0.05). There were no significant differences between c-EPI DWI and z-EPI DWI in the ADC values of periampullary malignant and benign lesions (P > 0.05). Conclusions: z-EPI DWI has an advantage that could lead to remarkable image quality improvements and enhanced lesion visualization of periampullary carcinomas. z-EPI DWI was superior to c-EPI DWI for detecting, delineating, and diagnosing the lesions, particularly for small challenging lesions. SARS-Cov-2 infection, which has caused the COVID-19 global pandemic, triggers cellular senescence. In this study, we investigate the role of the SARS-COV-2 spike protein (S-protein) in regulating the senescence of RPE cells. The results showed that administration or overexpression of S-protein in ARPE-19 decreased cell proliferation with cell cycle arrest at the G1 phase. S-protein increased SA-β-Gal positive ARPE-19 cells with high expression of P53 and P21, senescence-associated inflammatory factors (e.g., IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8, ICAM, and VEGF), and ROS. Elimination of ROS by N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) or knocking down p21 by siRNA diminished S-protein-induced ARPE cell senescence. Both administrated and overexpressed S-protein colocalize with the ER and upregulate ER-stress-associated BIP, CHOP, ATF3, and ATF6 expression. S-protein induced P65 protein nuclear translocation. Inhibition of NF-κB by bay-11-7082 reduced S-protein-mediated expression of senescence-associated factors. Moreover, the intravitreal injection of S-protein upregulates senescence-associated inflammatory factors in the zebrafish retina. In conclusions, the S-protein of SARS-Cov-2 induces cellular senescence of ARPE-19 cells in vitro and the expression of senescence-associated cytokines in zebrafish retina in vivo likely by activating ER stress, ROS, and NF-κb. Mass transfer can tune the surface concentration of reactants and products and subsequently influence the catalytic performance. The morphology of nanomaterials plays an important role in the mass transfer of reaction microdomains, but related studies are lacking. Herein, a facile electrospinning technique utilizing cellulose was employed to fabricate a series of carbon nanofibers with different diameters, which exhibited excellent electrochemical nitrate reduction reaction and oxygen evolution reaction activities. This study attempted to assess the influence of music therapy combined with progressive muscle relaxation on relieving anxiety and depression symptoms in methamphetamine-dependent adult women. It was a randomized controlled trial including 133 methamphetamine-dependent adult women recruited to participate in an 8-week rehabilitation program in the rehabilitation center of a psychiatric hospital. Participants in the control group were only treated by routine medical care, while participants in the study group received music therapy combined with progressive muscle relaxation based on routine medical care. Demographic and clinical data of these participants were collected at baseline, and anxiety and depression scores were collected at baseline and after 8 weeks intervention. Seven participants left halfway of the study, and the final available data in the study group and the control group were both 63. After 8-week intervention, anxiety and depression scores in the study group were less than those of the control group (p < 0.001). In addition, the decline of anxiety and depression scores after 8 weeks intervention in the study group was more than those in the control group (p < 0.001). These findings recommended that the music therapy combined with progressive muscle relaxation would be considered as a safe, noninvasive, and effective rehabilitation therapy for adult women with methamphetamine dependence. Imbalanced class distribution of time series data often results in bias in the classification of surfaces, the classifier cannot usually achieve the best classification performance. When the classifier fails to detect a minority class of data, it indicates that the model has failed. In the real world, there are serious consequences when models fail to classify the minority classes of data (rare events). In this paper, we propose a new model that integrates a long and short-term memory (LSTM)-based autoencoder (AE) network with dense weighted small spheres and large margins (LSTMAE-DWSSLM) for the classification of imbalanced time series. The long short-term memory autoencoder network can learn temporally dependent feature representations from unlabeled data. The optimal feature representation can improve the classification performance. The density weight function is applied to the small spheres and large margins (SSLM) classifier to effectively handle the imbalanced classification task. Finally, two metrics are chosen to evaluate the performance of the model. Experimental results on multiple UCR datasets and EEG datasets validate the significant advantages of our proposed model. Accordingly, our model is applied to the actual datasets, good results are obtained in the plant electrical signal datasets, which further validated the practicality of the method. In this study, a novel composite SA/AlFu/TiO2 was successfully prepared as a promising adsorbent-photocatalyst for pollutants in wastewater based on aluminum fumarate (AlFu), titanium dioxide (TiO2) and sodium alginate (SA) by the sol–gel method. The crystallinity and structure of the prepared composites were characterized by XRD, SEM, EDS, TEM and Raman. The results showed that the TiO2 unit in SA/AlFu/TiO2 was mainly in the amorphous phase. The adsorption and photocatalytic performance of SA/AlFu/TiO2 were evaluated by the photodegradation of methyl orange (MO) under UV light irradiation. The composite SA/AlFu/TiO2 has good adsorption capacity and high photocatalytic activity on MO. The influence of the dosage of AlFu or titanium precursor on the photodegradation of SA/AlFu/TiO2 were discussed. The results showed that the role of AlFu was not only to be used as carrier of the TiO2 unit but also to increase the photodegradation activity of the amorphous TiO2 in SA/AlFu/TiO2. SA/AlFu/TiO2 prepared with 0.5% AlFu and 4 mL tetrabutyl titanate showed the best removal rate of MO with 96.0% after 75 min. The photocatalytic degradation of amorphous SA/AlFu/TiO2 on MO under UV light irradiation followed the combined adsorption/photocatalytic mechanism. Objective: The relationship between vascular compression of the vestibulocochlear nerve and audio-vestibular symptoms remains controversial. We aimed to examine the radiological features of vascular loops signs in cerebellopontine angle (CPA) and internal auditory canal (IAC) in patients with unilateral Ménière's disease (MD). Methods: One hundred and thirty-seven patients with unilateral definite MD and 69 control subjects (138 ears) were enrolled. All subjects received magnetic resonance imaging of CPA-IAC. The configuration of vascular loops in CPA-IAC, based on the Kazawa classification system, from MD-affected, non-affected and control ears were compared. The associations between imaging findings and Ménière's stage, electrocochleogram (EcochG) and caloric test were analyzed. Results: (1) Among the MD-affected ears, 6 cases (4.4%) were classified as Kazawa type IA, 27 cases (19.7%) as IB, 60 cases (43.8%) as IIA, and 44 cases (32.1%) as IIB. No significant interaural difference in the distribution of Kazawa's types was found ( x 2 = 4.737, p = 0.578) in unilateral MD patients. (2) The distribution of Kazawa's types were not significantly different between the MD-affected ears and the control subjects ( x 2 = 2.876, p = 0.411). (3) No relationship was found between Kazawa staging of the MD-affected ear and Ménière's stage (H = 2.679, p = 0.444), EcochG ( x 2 = 0.827, p = 0.867) and caloric test ( x 2 = 4.116, p = 0.248). Conclusions: In patients with unilateral MD, the configuration of vascular loops in CPA-IAC region, measured by Kazawa criteria, did not correlate with the laterality, clinical stage, the results of EcochG and caloric test, suggesting that vascular loops may be natural anatomical variations for patients with MD. Informal electronic-waste (e-waste) recycling sites pose substantial health risks to surrounding environments and populations, yet they are not properly regulated. In this study, the soil levels of copper, lead, cadmium, eight polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), and 18 polychlorinated dibenzo-dioxins/furans (PCDD/Fs) were measured at two e-waste recycling sites in South China between 2014 and 2019. Both sites have been abandoned for natural restoration. Our results indicate that the mean Cd and PCDD/F levels at Site A in 2019 were higher than those recommended by current safety guidelines. Meanwhile, the highest exposure among children was 1.36 × 10−2 mg/(kg·d) for Cu, followed by 5.05 × 10−3 mg/(kg·d) for Pb, 9.71 ng/(kg·d) for PBDEs, and 6.82 ng TEQ/(kg·d) for PCDD/Fs. Children were at elevated risk for health problem posed by Pb and Cu exposure at both sites (hazard quotient > 1) and by PCDD/Fs at Site A. Further risk assessment was conducted on the target organs and endpoints of heavy metals and PCDD/Fs. The hazard index (HI) for the target organ mixed-risk of heavy metals was high (HI = 1.27), as was that of PCDD/Fs (HI = 1.66), which can disrupt endocrine function and pose a risk of reproductive toxicity in children. Owing to incomplete cleaning, contaminants persist in soils over long periods and may harm nearby environments and communities. Our study demonstrates that heavy metal, PBDE, and PCDD/F contamination have not yet been remediated, and intervention is needed to reduce pollution and associated risks in areas affected by e-waste. Objectives: To develop a real-time abdominal T2 mapping method without requiring breath-holding or respiratory-gating. Methods: The single-shot multiple overlapping-echo detachment (MOLED) pulse sequence was employed to achieve free-breathing T2 mapping of the abdomen. Deep learning was used to untangle the non-linear relationship between the MOLED signal and T2 mapping. A synthetic data generation flow based on Bloch simulation, modality synthesis, and randomization was proposed to overcome the inadequacy of real-world training set. Results: The results from simulation and in vivo experiments demonstrated that our method could deliver high-quality T2 mapping. The average NMSE and R2 values of linear regression in the digital phantom experiments were 0.0178 and 0.9751. Pearson's correlation coefficient between our predicted T2 and reference T2 in the phantom experiments was 0.9996. In the measurements for the patients, real-time capture of the T2 value changes of various abdominal organs before and after contrast agent injection was realized. A total of 33 focal liver lesions were detected in the group, and the mean and standard deviation of T2 values were 141.1 ± 50.0 ms for benign and 63.3 ± 16.0 ms for malignant lesions. The coefficients of variance in a test–retest experiment were 2.9%, 1.2%, 0.9%, 3.1%, and 1.8% for the liver, kidney, gallbladder, spleen, and skeletal muscle, respectively. Conclusions: Free-breathing abdominal T2 mapping is achieved in about 100 ms on a clinical MRI scanner. The work paved the way for the development of real-time dynamic T2 mapping in the abdomen. Our study aimed to explore the potential mechanisms of KIF23 regulating function in the progression of nasopharyngeal carcinoma and pinpoint novel therapeutic targets for the clinical treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients. Firstly, the mRNA and protein level of KIF23 in nasopharyngeal carcinoma was measured using quantitative real-time PCR and western blot. Then, the influence of KIF23 on tumor metastasis and growth in nasopharyngeal carcinoma was determined through the in vivo and in vitro experiments. Lastly, the regulatory mechanisms of KIF23 in nasopharyngeal carcinoma were illustrated in the chromatin immunoprecipitation assay. KIF23 was first found to be overexpressed in nasopharyngeal carcinoma samples, and its expression was associated with poor prognosis. Then, the nasopharyngeal carcinoma cell’s proliferation, migration, and invasion potential could be improved by inducing KIF23 expression both in vivo and in vitro. Furthermore, androgen receptor (AR) was found to bind to the KIF23 promoter region directly and enhance KIF23 transcription. At last, KIF23 could accelerate nasopharyngeal carcinoma deterioration via activating the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway. AR/KIF23/Wnt/β-catenin pathway promotes nasopharyngeal carcinoma deterioration. Our findings could serve as a new therapeutic strategy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma in the clinical practice. As novel master regulators of initiation and progression, long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) can response to therapy in a wide variety of malignances. This study aimed to explore the regulatory mechanisms in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) by constructing lncRNA-miRNA-mRNA networks. The whole transcriptome sequence was performed in five NSCLC tissues and their corresponding paired adjacent normal tissues. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) and mRNAs expression profiles were obtained from TCGA database. "EdgeR" R package was used for gene expression comparisons and the genes with | log2FC |> 2 and false discovery rate (FDR) adjusted P<0.05 were considered significant. Totally, 559 differentially expressed lncRNAs (DELs) (235 up-regulated, 324 down-regulated) were identified via whole transcriptome sequence analysis. Subsequently, 14 up-regulated lncRNAs were obtained in the intersection of our RNA-seq data and TCGA dataset. The dysregulations of the selected lncRNAs were evaluated through GEPIA. Three candidate lncRNAs (LINC01426, TYMSOS, VPS9D1-AS1) were finally selected for further study. Through bioinformatics prediction, with the three lnRNAs and their associated miRNAs (n=14) and mRNAs (n=218), a lncRNA-miRNA-mRNA network was constructed. Furthermore, Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway associated with the targeted genes were proceeded. In addition, the protein–protein interaction (PPI) network construction was performed by STRING and lncRNA-miRNA-mRNA regulatory network was visualized via Cytoscape. The top ten significant hub-genes in the PPI network are identified based on their node degrees. Moreover, the lncRNA-miRNA and miRNA-mRNA interactions were predicted using the StarBase and survival analyses were performed in Kaplan-Meier plotter website. We concluded that TYMSOS/hsa-miR-101-3p/CEP55 and TYMSOS/hsa-miR-195-5p/CHEK1 ceRNA regulatory aixs may play vital roles in the occurrence and development of NSCLC, and may provide novel therapeutic targets in the future. Many signaling and other genes known as “hidden” drivers may not be genetically or epigenetically altered or differentially expressed at the mRNA or protein levels, but, rather, drive a phenotype such as tumorigenesis via post-translational modification or other mechanisms. However, conventional approaches based on genomics or differential expression are limited in exposing such hidden drivers. Here, we present a comprehensive algorithm and toolkit NetBID2 (data-driven network-based Bayesian inference of drivers, version 2), which reverse-engineers context-specific interactomes and integrates network activity inferred from large-scale multi-omics data, empowering the identification of hidden drivers that could not be detected by traditional analyses. NetBID2 has substantially re-engineered the previous prototype version by providing versatile data visualization and sophisticated statistical analyses, which strongly facilitate researchers for result interpretation through end-to-end multi-omics data analysis. We demonstrate the power of NetBID2 using three hidden driver examples. We deploy NetBID2 Viewer, Runner, and Cloud apps with 145 context-specific gene regulatory and signaling networks across normal tissues and paediatric and adult cancers to facilitate end-to-end analysis, real-time interactive visualization and cloud-based data sharing. Swine wastewater has become one of the main agricultural pollution sources. Quantitative characterization of dissolved organic matter (DOM) is often used in various water bodies, but there are few studies on DOM analysis of swine wastewater. In this study, swine wastewater was treated by a step-feed two-stage anoxic/aerobic (SF-A/O/A/O) process. By using parallel factor (PARAFAC) analysis of fluorescence excitation-emission matrix (EEM), the main components of swine wastewater were aromatic protein-like substances (C1), tryptophan-like substances (C2), fulvic acid-like/humic-like substances (C3) and humic-like substances (C4). Protein-like substances were degraded significantly, while humic-like substances were difficult to be utilized by microorganisms. Fluorescence spectral indexes showed that the characteristics of endogenous input and humus were enhanced. Moreover, several significant correlations between DOM components, fluorescence spectral indexes and water quality indexes were observed. Algal-dissolved organic matter (ADOM) is an important fraction of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) in eutrophic water. Although ADOM is known to be readily transformed by microbes, the role of sunlight-induced photochemical process and the interactions between two processes on ADOM transformation remains unclear. In this study, three types of treatments for ADOM, including photochemical process under natural solar light (L treatment), microbial process (M treatment), and the simultaneous photochemical plus microbial process (L&M), were performed for 18 days. Our results showed that M treatment was more effective for the loss of DOC, chromophoric DOM (CDOM) at short wavelengths (a254 and a280), than L treatment, while L treatment was more effective for the transformation of a350 and the fluorescent components of the ubiquitous humic-like component and the tryptophan-like component. Comparison in the decay kinetics of DOC and CDOM in the three treatments showed that the simultaneous photochemical and biological processes exhibited an inhibitory effect on DOC decay rate but not the percentage of labile DOC fraction. Higher relative abundance of protein-like substances was found after L&M treatment, while the relative abundance of humic-like substance and aromaticity increased after M treatment, and the low molecular-weight compounds were produced after L treatment. With the rising interest in polar tourism, polar expedition cruise ships are attracting attention as a novel, promising ship type with typical transoceanic voyage characteristics, i.e. voyages involving both open water and ice regions through flexible routes. With the carbon–neutral requirement, especially in the polar areas, it is urgent to achieve low carbon emissions for cruise ships. This study investigates the voyage features of typical routes representing typical operational scenarios of the expedition cruise ships by surveying the statistics of various routes. Then, it develops a multi-step line design and optimization frame to achieve multiple objectives such as the minimum overall resistance and delivered power gradually. A case study is investigated to describe the process. The optimum results are discussed with four typical representative hull forms. At first step, at least 8.36% reduction for overall resistance can be achieved. Further improvement can be achieved at second step with an extra reduction of delivered power up to 1.68%. Furthermore, after third step analysis, it is necessary to provide an additional 2.2% or more of the propulsion power to maintain the navigation in the ice region at the service speed. Then, a set of regression formulas have been obtained during lines design and optimization by investigating the open water and ice regions with their combinations. Background: Doxorubicin resistance represents a major clinical challenge for treating patients with advanced breast cancer (BC). Exosomes, exchanging genetic cargo between heterogeneous populations of tumour cells, have been proposed to mediate drug resistance and cancer progression in other cancer types. However, their specific role in mediating doxorubicin resistance in BC remains unclear. Here, we demonstrate the important role of exosomal miR-181b-5p (exo-miR-181b-5p) in mediating doxorubicin resistance. Methods: Small-RNA sequencing and bioinformatic analyses were used to screen miRNAs mediating doxorubicin resistance in BC, which were further verified by RT-qPCR. SA-β-gal staining assays allowed us to measure cellular senescence. Exosomes from patients' serum before and after neoadjuvant chemotherapy were isolated for exo-miR-181b-5p quantification. Results: Doxorubicin-resistant BC cell lines exhibited upregulated exosomal miR-181b-5p. Addition of exo-miR-181b-5p actively fused with recipient cells and transferred a drug-resistant phenotype. Overexpression of miR-181b-5p downregulated p53/p21 levels and inhibited doxorubicin-induced G1 arrest and senescence by suppressing BCLAF1 expression in vitro. Further, in vivo experiments showed treatment of exo-miR-181b-5p inhibitors exhibited superior tumour control and reversed the doxorubicin-resistance phenotype, accompanied with increased tumoral BCLAF1. Conclusion: Our data suggests exo-miR-181b-5p as a prognostic biomarker and a therapeutic potential for exo-miR-181b-5p inhibitors in the treatment of doxorubicin-resistant BC patients. The strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa) is an economically important perennial crop plant, and its fruits are rich in vitamin C (l-ascorbic acid [AsA]) and other nutrients. l-galactono-1,4-lactone dehydrogenase (GalLDH) is a key enzyme in the terminal step of AsA biosynthesis pathway in plants. Here, the GalLDH gene (FaGalLDH) was cloned from 'Benihoppe' strawberries. AsA content increased during fruit development and peaked at the red-ripening stage, and AsA concentrations in different tissues were correlated with enzyme activity and transcription level of FaGalLDH. Transient over-expression of FaGalLDH in strawberry fruit increased its overall expression and AsA production significantly, whereas transient RNAi of FaGalLDH decreased its expression and AsA content. Furthermore, the optimum pH and temperature for FaGalLDH activity were 8.0 and 25 °C, respectively. Ectopic expression of the FaGalLDH gene in Arabidopsis resulted in higher AsA content and enzyme activity in transgenic lines than in wild-type plants. FaGalLDH over-expression resulted in enhanced tolerance to salt stress due to reduced accumulation of malondialdehyde, H2O2, and O2.−, as well as higher survival rates, root length, proline content, and superoxide dismutase, peroxidase, and catalase activities. This study applied a threshold panel data model to test the nonlinear impacts of tourism development and the potential moderating effect of tourism density on urban livability, using observations of 35 large and medium-size cities in China from 2002 to 2016. Findings revealed that the total effect of tourism development on urban livability first increased and then decreased with the growth of tourism density. Thus, tourism development was found to have a critical impact on urban livability, both positively and negatively, with a non-monotonic moderating effect of tourism density. Congenital heart disease (CHD) is a worldwide problem with high morbidity and mortality. Early diagnosis of congenital heart disease is still a challenge in clinical work. In recent years, few studies indicated that placental methylation may be predictors of CHD. More studies are needed to confirm the association between placental methylation and CHD. The aim of this study was to investigate the association between prenatal placental DNA methylation and CHD. Placental tissues were obtained from four fetuses during the second trimester with isolated, non-syndromic congenital heart disease, including three cases with double outlet right ventricle (DORV) and one case with tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), and four unaffected fetuses as controls. The Illumina Infinium Human Methylation 850K BeadChip assay was employed to identify differential methylation sites (DMSs) and differential methylation regions (DMRs). Differential methylation was evaluated by comparing the β-values for individual CpG loci in cases vs. controls. In addition, the function of genes was assessed through KEGG enrichment analysis, Gene Ontology (GO) analysis and KEGG pathway analysis. Compared with the control group, we identified 9625 differential methylation genes on 26,202 DMSs (p < 0.05), of which 6997 were hyper-methylation and 2628 were hypo-methylation. The top 30 terms of GO biological process and KEGG enrichment analysis of DMSs were connected with multiple important pathways of heart development and disease. Ten differentially methylated regions and the genes related to DMRs, such as TLL1, CRABP1, FDFT1, and PCK2, were identified. The deformity caused by the loss of function of these genes is remarkably consistent with the clinical phenotype of our cases. This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between serum endothelial dysfunction-related biomarker levels and organ dysfunction severity in septic patients and the predictive value of these levels during sepsis. In total, 105 patients admitted to the Department of Critical Care Medicine were enrolled between September 2020 and November 2021. Serum syndecan-1 and soluble thrombomodulin(sTM) levels were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, and clinical and laboratory data were recorded. Enroll patients were divided into the infection (n = 28), septic nonshock (n = 31), and septic shock (n = 46) groups. Serum syndecan-1 (102.84 ± 16.53 vs. 55.38 ± 12.34 ng/ml), and sTM(6.60 ± 1.44 ng/ml vs. 5.23 ± 1.23 ng/ml, P < 0.01) levels were increased in the septic group compared with those in the infection group. Serum syndecan-1 levels were closely positively correlated with serum sTM (rs = 0.712, r2 = 0.507, P < 0.001). Additionally, serum syndecan-1(rs = 0.687, r2 = 0.472, P < 0.001) and sTM levels (rs = 0.6, r2 = 0.36, P < 0.01) levels were significantly positively correlated with the sequential organ failure assessment scores respectively. Syndecan-1 (AUC 0.95 ± 0.02, P < 0.0001) was more valuable for prediction sepsis than was sTM (AUC 0.87 ± 0.04, P < 0.0001). Compared with sTM (AUC 0.88 ± 0.03, P < 0.001), syndecan-1 (AUC 0.95 ± 0.02, P < 0.001) and SOFA score (AUC 0.95 ± 0.02, P < 0.001) were better predictors of septic shock. Serum syndecan-1 and sTM levels were associated with organ dysfunction severity in septic patients, and both were good predictors for early identification of sepsis, particularly in patients undergoing septic shock.
