Globally, cancer is the second leading cause of mortality, surpassed only by cardiovascular disorders. Among its various types, Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) poses a significant global health risk. Chemotherapy is the most common therapeutic approach for treating cancer. However, chemotherapeutic drugs can cause serious toxicity by reducing the survival of both tumor and normal cells, thereby diminishing the survival chances of patients. Natural products extracted from medicinal plants serve as effective anticancer agents with minimal side effects. Among natural compounds, flavonoids have been reported as effective anticancer agents. In this study, two flavonoids, viscosine and quercetin 7-rutinoside, were evaluated for their antitumor potential using in silico models. These flavonoids were tested for their inhibitory activity against DEAD-box RNA helicase DDX3X (referred to as DDX3) and B-cell lymphoma-extra-large (Bcl-XL) enzymes through molecular docking and dynamic simulation analyses. The docking analysis revealed low docking scores and binding energies for both viscosine and quercetin 7-rutinoside. The overall docking results revealed that the selected flavonoids exhibited a favorable binding affinity for DDX3 and Bcl-XL. They bind firmly to the key active sites and remain stably within the pocket regions of DDX3 and Bcl-XL, thereby inhibiting their activity. This data was further supported by the RMSF and RMSD analyses. The preliminary molecular docking and simulation analyses confirm the promising inhibitory effects of viscosine and quercetin 7-rutinoside against DDX3 and Bcl-XL. Therefore, these flavonoids could serve as potential antitumor drug candidates in the future. However, further experimental studies are needed to validate their potential for clinical trials. Pesticide residues have become an escalating concern in Pakistan, raising significant risks to both public health and the environment. This review overviews the current status of pesticide contamination in the country, with a specific focus on residue levels in relation to Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) and a comparative analysis with regional and global counterparts. Several studies reveal that 30% to 70% of tested food products, including fruits, vegetables, and animal-derived products, especially in Punjab and Sindh, exceed established MRLs. This level of contamination is considerably higher than in neighboring countries such as India, where MRL exceedance ranges from 20 to 30%, and Bangladesh, which reports lower levels due to stricter regulatory efforts. In comparison, developed countries, including those in the European Union and the United States, report less than 5% of food samples exceeding MRLs, often falling below 1% due to stringent safety standards. The high prevalence of pesticide residues in Pakistan poses severe health risks, including neurological disorders, reproductive problems, and cancer, particularly in vulnerable groups like children and pregnant women. Key factors contributing to these elevated pesticide levels include insufficient knowledge of safe pesticide use, the unregulated application of banned or expired products, improper safety protocols, and malfunctioning equipment. A prevailing reliance on pesticides as the sole pest control method further hinders the adoption of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies. In conclusion, pesticide residue levels in Pakistan are above permissible MRLs compared to regional and global standards, underscoring the need for urgent improvements in pesticide regulation, enforcement, and the promotion of sustainable pest control methods like IPM to better protect human health and the environment. Climate change, as a critical global concern, has fueled our efforts to address it through different strategies. In response to the critical worldwide issue of climate change, we suggested a Photovoltaic (PV) system at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in Islamabad, Pakistan (latitude: 33.724530 N, longitude: 73.046869, terrain elevation: 552 m). Islamabad is located in a region blessed with enormous solar resources, boasting a daily horizontal solar irradiance of 1503.45 kWh/m2 and an average daily solar irradiance of 5.89 kWh/m2, with an exceptional solar fraction of 98.99%. The ambient air temperature, averaging 23.21 °C, reaches its maximum in June and its minimum in December. Our research thoroughly evaluates the system's performance, accounting for various losses and utilizing modern PVsyst software. Over the course of 18 years, our PV system is expected to save 75,478.60 tons of CO2, the equivalent of planting 348,754 teak trees. Furthermore, the cost of energy generation is an affordable 0.0141 US $/kWh, much lower than traditional rates, including the Sherif cost of 0.028$/kWh. Along with the performance research, we conducted a detailed cost analysis, projecting the starting cost and cash flow, and discovered that the plant would be in surplus within 12 years of installation. Our system is positioned to generate 11,270,771 kWh/year with a respectable performance ratio (PR) of 76.2% and a Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF) of 16%. The honey bee subspecies native to Saudi Arabia, Apis mellifera jemenitica Rutter, is currently being threatened by genetic pressure from exotic subspecies imported by commercial beekeepers. Uncontrolled interbreeding between native and exotic subspecies could dilute advantageous adaptations and give rise to new haplotypes that are not well suited for Saudi Arabia’s harsh climate. In this study, we analyzed the mitochondrial haplotypes and parasitization patterns by Varroa destructor mites in commercial beekeeping operations across Southwestern Saudi Arabia. We sampled 300 workers from five randomly chosen colonies at each of the eleven apiaries from December 2022 to February 2023. We extracted DNA from two workers per colony for analysis of the mitochondrial COI-COII region and assessed the remaining workers for mite infestation levels. We also haplotyped a subgroup of mites. All 55 colonies analyzed belonged to the A. m. jemenitica subspecies, which is part of the Z subgroup of the A lineage. Mitochondrial genome analysis revealed ten distinct haplotype sequences at four of the eleven locations. The average (± SEM) number of mites per 100 workers across all sites was 1.95 ± 0.96 and was below a 3% infestation threshold at nine of the eleven locations. All tested mites belonged to the Korean haplotype. The Al-Riyan, Al-Radha, and Khaitaa apiaries had both, no novel haplotypes, and the lowest Varroa mite infestation levels. This study could ultimately inform a colony selection process for the implementation of a breeding program aimed at improving honey bee productivity in Southwestern Saudi Arabia. Objective: To screen the synthesized analogues for their in vitro DPPH free radical scavenging activity. Due to their high efficacy and inexpensiveness compared to natural antioxidants, synthetic antioxidants are frequently used. The current work is primarily concerned with investigating the free radical scavenging activity of derivatives of thiobarbituric acid, based on the findings of the literature review. Methods: A series of N,N-diethylthiobarbiturates (I–XVII) were synthesized, and screened for their DPPH radical scavenging activity. Results and discussion: Limited structure-activity relationship has been established on the basis of different substituents and their varying positions. These synthetic compounds showed varying degree of inhibition in the range of IC50 values 20.28 ± 0.15 to 286.19 ± 0.16 μM. Limited structure-activity relationship was revealed that hydroxyl containing compounds (V) (IC50 = 20.28 ± 0.15 μM), (IV) (IC50 = 22.89 ± 0.19 μM), and (I) (IC50 = 26.34 ± 0.03 μM) showed comparable free radical scavenging activities with standard quercetin (IC50 = 16.96 ± 0.14 μM). Conclusions: The study indicates that N,N-diethylthiobarbiturate derivatives have the potential to be synthetic antioxidants since they have strong DPPH radical scavenging action. This study's main purpose is to use Bayesian structural time-series models to investigate the causal effect of an earthquake on the Borsa Istanbul Stock Index. The results reveal a significant negative impact on stock market value during the post-treatment period. The results indicate rapid divergence from counterfactual predictions, and the actual stock index is lower than would have been expected in the absence of an earthquake. The curve of the actual stock value and the counterfactual prediction after the earthquake suggest a reconvening pattern in the stock market when the stock market resumes its activities. The cumulative impact effect shows a negative effect in relative terms, as evidenced by the decrease in the BIST-100 index of − 30%. These results have significant implications for investors and policymakers, emphasizing the need to prepare for natural disasters to minimize their adverse effects on stock market valuations. Aim: Integrating chemical and organic fertilizers not only improves soil biological health and plant growth but also reduces costs of agricultural production, and hence, is an economically feasible approach to sustain plant growth in developing countries. Methods: We performed a field experiment to evaluate the impact of poultry litter-derived biochar (BC; 10 and 20 t ha−1) with and without chemical fertilizers (CF) on soil nutrient availability, microbial abundance, and soil enzymatic activity. Results: Combined application of BC and CF significantly increased soil nutritional status and soil organic carbon (SOC), however these improvements were more prominent at higher BC level (20 t ha−1), which increased soil microbial biomass carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus by 27, 58, and 61%, respectively. Furthermore, BC20 + CF treatment improved soil microbial abundances such as actinomycetes (24%), bacteria (70%), AMF (49%) and saprophytic fungi (38%). In terms of wheat growth and yield attributes, BC20 + CF application enhanced spike length (55%), leaf area index (30%), tillers (12%), along with biological yield (26%) and grain yield (36%). BC20 + CF application was positively correlated with different soil enzymatic activities i.e. urease (24%), dehydrogenase (44%), and β-glucosidase (93%). Principal component analysis (PCA) analysis also showed that co-application of BC at the rate of 20 t ha−1 along with CF was the most efficient treatment for improving soil nutrient status and microbial activities. Conclusions: Hence, soil supplementation with BC along with CF improved soil biochemical characteristics and nutrients availability for longer time, resulting in better and more sustainable agricultural production. This review comprehensively explores recent physiochemical and molecular approaches to abiotic stress tolerance in plants. The review delves into the biochemical pathways involved in stress response, notably the glyoxalase system and ascorbate-glutathione pathway, emphasizing their roles in maintaining cellular homeostasis and detoxifying reactive oxygen species. A significant portion of the review is dedicated to elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying plant stress tolerance, focusing on the modulation of gene expression, regulation of stress-responsive genes, and the potential of genetic engineering to enhance resilience. This study examines the levels of heavy metals in polyculture fish (Labeo rohita, Cyprinus carpio, and Catla catla), water, and sediment in Tanda Dam, Kohat, Pakistan, aiming to understand environmental and health risks. Samples of fish, water, and sediment were collected from 3 fish farms, and heavy metal concentrations were measured using a Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). Results reveal that C. catla exhibited significantly higher (p < 0.05) levels of Zn than other fish species. Conversely, C. carpio showed significantly higher (p < 0.05) concentrations of Pb, Cd, Cr, Mn, Cu, As, and Ni than other species. The heavy metal hierarchy in C. carpio was found to be Zn > Cu > Pb > Cr > Cd > Mn > As > Ni. While heavy metal levels in L. rohita and C. catla generally fell within reference ranges, exceptions were noted for Zn, Pb, and Cd. Conversely, in C. carpio, all metals exceeded reference ranges except for Cu and Ni. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) indicated a close relationship between water and sediment. Additionally, cluster analysis suggested that C. catla formed a distinct cluster from L. rohita and C. carpio, implying different responses to the environment. Despite concerns raised by the Geoaccumulation Index (Igeo) and Contamination Factor (CF), particularly for Cd, which exhibited a high CF. Furthermore, Hazard Index (HI) values for all three fish species were below 1, suggesting low health risks. However, elevated Igeo and CF values for Cd suggest significant pollution originating from anthropogenic sources. This study underscores the importance of monitoring heavy metals in water for both environmental preservation and human health protection. TTC12 is a cytoplasmic and centromere-localized protein that plays a role in the proper assembly of dynein arm complexes in motile cilia in both respiratory cells and sperm flagella. This finding underscores its significance in cellular motility and function. However, the wide role of TTC12 in human spermatogenesis-associated primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD) still needs to be elucidated. Whole-exome sequencing (WES) and Sanger sequencing were performed to identify potentially pathogenic variants causing PCD and multiple morphological abnormalities of sperm flagella (MMAF) in an infertile Pakistani man. Diagnostic imaging techniques were used for PCD screening in the patient. Real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT‒PCR) was performed to detect the effect of mutations on the mRNA abundance of the affected genes. Papanicolaou staining and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were carried out to examine sperm morphology. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) was performed to examine the ultrastructure of the sperm flagella, and the results were confirmed by immunofluorescence staining. Using WES and Sanger sequencing, a novel homozygous missense variant (c.C1069T; p.Arg357Trp) in TTC12 was identified in a patient from a consanguineous family. A computed tomography scan of the paranasal sinuses confirmed the symptoms of the PCD. RT–PCR showed a decrease in TTC12 mRNA in the patient's sperm sample. Papanicolaou staining, SEM, and TEM analysis revealed a significant change in shape and a disorganized axonemal structure in the sperm flagella of the patient. Immunostaining assays revealed that TTC12 is distributed throughout the flagella and is predominantly concentrated in the midpiece in normal spermatozoa. In contrast, spermatozoa from patient deficient in TTC12 showed minimal staining intensity for TTC12 or DNAH17 (outer dynein arms components). This could lead to MMAF and result in male infertility. This novel TTC12 variant not only illuminates the underlying genetic causes of male infertility but also paves the way for potential treatments targeting these genetic factors. Physicochemical properties of water influence planktonic diversity and distribution, which is essential in obtaining basic knowledge of aquatic biodiversity. Thus current study aims to investigate the spatiotemporal diversity, abundance ratio, and distribution of phytoplankton species and their association with water quality parameters of Chashma Lake, Pakistan. During the study period from 2018 to 2019, we measured 13 physicochemical parameters across three selected sampling sites (S1, S2, and S3) in Chashma Lake, revealing both spatial and temporal variability. Dissolved oxygen (DO) was higher in S3, while S1 exhibited higher alkalinity levels, carbon dioxide, phosphorus, and chloride levels. The study identified 77 phytoplankton species grouped into five taxonomic categories, with Cyanobacteria dominating (39.90%), followed by Chlorophyta (33.4%) and Bacillariophyta (24.88%). Euglenozoa and Ochrophyta were less abundant (1.3% and 0.41%, respectively). Spatial variations in phytoplankton distribution were noted, with Chlorophyta being more abundant at S2, Bacillariophyta and Cyanobacteria at S1, and Euglenozoa dominating at S3. Canonical Correspondence Analysis (CCA) revealed the influence of various physicochemical parameters on phytoplankton distribution. This comprehensive study provides valuable insights for the ecological assessment and monitoring of water bodies. It is recommended that continuous monitoring is required to capture long-term trends, further explore the specific environmental drivers impacting phytoplankton dynamics, and consider management strategies for maintaining water quality and biodiversity in Chashma Lake. Pesticides are frequently used to protect crop yields and manage malaria vectors; however, their inadvertent transport into aquatic habitats poses a significant concern. Various anthropogenic activities influence the Indus River in Pakistan. This study aimed to assess the presence of eight pesticide residues at three different sites (Kalabagh, Kundian, and Chashma) in water, sediment, and the fish species (Labeo rohita) during both dry and wet seasons to measure the intensity of this pressure. Pesticide analysis was carried out using gas chromatography equipped with an electron capture detector. The results revealed the highest concentrations of pesticides during both dry and wet seasons at all sites, measuring 0.83 and 0.62 μg/l (water), 12.37 and 9.20 μg/g/dw (sediment), and 14.27 and 11.29 μg/g/ww (L. rohita), respectively. Overall, pesticide concentrations were higher in the dry season than in the wet season across all study sites. Based on detection frequency and concentration in both seasons at all sites, dominant pesticides included cypermethrin and carbofuran (in water), as well as endosulfan and cypermethrin (in sediment and fish tissue). Levels of endosulfan and cypermethrin exceeded standard limits. Moreover, principal component analysis (PCA) indicated no correlation among pesticides in fish tissue, sediment, and water. However, pesticides exhibited different behavior in different seasons. Furthermore, endosulfan and triazophos impose great human health risk, as indicated by the THQ value (> 1). The overall HI value was greater for site 1 in the dry season (8.378). The study concluded that the presence of agricultural pesticides in the Indus River poses a risk to aquatic life and has the potential to disrupt the entire food chain. This highlights the importance of sustainable practices for the study area and Pakistan overall agricultural and environmental sustainability. Cryptocurrency is the most advanced technology and financial product and the focus of attention of investors pursuing safe-haven assets. This study evaluates the asymmetric multifractality of the cryptocurrencies in the different phases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) through a novel approach of asymmetric multifractality detrended fluctuation analysis. The study is a valuable contribution by analyzing the multifractality in the downward and upward price movements. The outcomes show that the major cryptocurrencies have multifractals, which increase as the fractal scale increases. The higher multifractality is observed in the downward (upward) movements for Bitcoin and Ripple, suggesting that both are less efficient and weaker safe havens against unpredictability during the pandemic and throughout the period. The multifractality is greater in the upside (downside) for Ethereum and the market efficiency improves during the pandemic and the full period, as indicated by the greater upward deviation than the downward. The results explore that cryptocurrencies are inefficient during the pandemic. Ethereum requires special attention to monitor such sudden changes in the price dynamic and regulations are extremely critical. This study assesses the influence of climate policy uncertainty (CPU) on carbon emissions (CE) against the backdrop of economic policy uncertainty (EPU) in the US. The wavelet analysis provides a comprehensive understanding of correlations in the time and frequency domains. The results demonstrate a significant correlation between CPU and CE, which varies across different time periods and frequencies. In the time domain, the results indicate that the CPU and CE move together during certain subperiods. Moreover, there are observable comovements in the frequency domain, particularly in the short to medium range. However, the correlation becomes stronger in the short term when there is no EPU, suggesting a closer interaction between CPU and CE. Therefore, it is crucial for governments to prioritize improving the clarity, credibility, and consistency of climate policies. The broad demonstration of grid-forming converters (GFMs) in microgrid applications has been well documented. Following this, the idea of GFM was assessed for its potential use in large-scale linked networks that include transmission and distribution systems combined with renewable energy sources. As a result, a thorough examination of GFM performance became imperative. This study provides a comprehensive examination of GFMs, encompassing fundamental principles, control mechanisms, implementation strategies, operational aspects, and potential avenues for further research. The capacity of GFMs to withstand system disturbances is of utmost importance for ensuring the overall stability of the system, particularly in situations where inertial response is diminished. Classical control methods are inadequate in addressing transient stability circumstances, necessitating the development of current control approaches to overcome these limitations. The utilization of GFM control is becoming increasingly important in the global initiative to establish a sustainable energy system through the integration of renewable energy. Soil contamination with microplastics (MPs) is a persistent threat to crop production worldwide. With a wide range of MP types, including polystyrene (PS), polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and polyethylene (PE), contaminating our environment, it is important to understand their impact on agricultural productivity. The present study was conducted to investigate the effects of different types of MPs (PS, PVC and PE) on various aspects of plant growth. Specifically, we examined growth and biomass, photosynthetic pigments, gas exchange attributes, oxidative stress responses, antioxidant compound activity (both enzymatic and non-enzymatic), gene expression, proline metabolism, the AsA-GSH cycle and cellular fractionation and nutritional status, in different parts of rice (Oryza sativa L.) seedlings, which were also exposed to plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR), i.e. Bacillus mycoides PM35, i.e. 20 μL. The research outcomes indicated that the different types of MPs in the soil notably reduced plant growth and biomass, photosynthetic pigments and gas exchange attributes. However, MP stress also induced oxidative stress in the roots and shoots of the plants by increasing malondialdehyde (MDA), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and electrolyte leakage (EL) which also induced increased compounds of various enzymatic and non-enzymatic antioxidants and also the gene expression. Furthermore, a significant increase in proline metabolism, the AsA-GSH cycle, and the fractionations of cellular components was observed. Insect pests are exposed to repeated applications of pesticides to effectively manage the pest species. This induces insecticide resistance and resurgence of target insect pest, along with an accelerated growth rate of the targeted individual. The present experiment was put into execution to examine transgenerational hormesis against different biological parameters of Phenacoccus solenopsis when exposed to sublethal concentrations of Pyriproxyfen (Pyriproxyfen® 10 EC) and Buprofezin (Buprofezin® 25 WP). Insects exhibited concentration-dependent mortality diminishing in succeeding generations. P. solenopsis receiving the sublethal concentration of LC10 (0.03%) of Pyriproxyfen® exhibited hormesis in natality in generation G-4 (1282.4 nymphs/20 females) and G-5 (1296.2 nymphs/20 females). The adult female exposed to LC10 (0.02%) of Buprofezin® also expressed hormesis in natality in G-4 (1261.5 nymphs/20 females) and G-5 (1282.8 nymphs/20 females). Hormesis in female longevity was also found when treated with a sublethal concentration of LC10 for Pyriproxyfen® (0.03%) in G-4 (46.41 days) and G-5(46.35 days). Similarly, adults in G-4 and G-5 at a sublethal concentration of LC10 (0.02%) for Buprofezin® induced hormesis 45.53 days and 46.69 days, respectively, whereas in G-4 (4.79 days) and G-5 (4.92 days) at stimulatory concentrations of LC10 (0.03%) for pyriproxyfen®. The research findings indicate that the consistent application of sublethal concentrations can elicit stimulatory effects on various biological traits. Fish meat is a major and rich source of white protein; its quality is determined by the fish feed. However, the low-quality feed may contribute to a source of contamination if it does not fulfill the standard protocol. Biofloc is considered one of the most efficient, successful aquacultures, but this system is still under investigation for its efficiency and safety. Thus, current study focused on the heavy metal contamination in biofloc fish fed on different commercial feeds and human health risk analysis. Samples of extensively used three feeds (Supreme™, Hitech™, and MH-Aqua™), tanks water, and biofloc fish (gills, liver muscle) were collected for heavy metals (Cu, Cd, Pb, and Cr) analysis using atomic absorption spectrometry. An experiment was designed by dividing the fish into three groups: group 1 (Supreme™), group 2 (Hitech™), and group 3 (MH-Aqua™). A bioaccumulation factor and human health risk assessment have been calculated to measure fish and human health. Results revealed that most of the heavy metal concentration was higher (P < 0.05) in MH-Aqua™ feed compared to others. Similarly, heavy metal concentration was higher (P < 0.05) in the water of group 3, where fish was cultured on MH-Aqua™ feed. However, in the fish gills, liver, and muscle, the heavy metal concentration was significantly greater in group 3 fed on MH-Aqua™ feed, followed by group 1. Heavy metals in all feeds were positively correlated to the heavy metal concentration of the fish muscles. The bioaccumulation factor for Cu and Pb was higher in the fish liver, Cd and Cr in the case of fish gills, and least in the fish muscle. EDI and THQ values vary in all the groups, while the HI value was found lower than 1 in group 1 and group 2 but higher in group 3 fed on MH-Aqua™ feed. Heavy metal pollution threatens plant growth and development as well as ecological stability. Here, we synthesize current research on the interplay between plants and their microbial symbionts under heavy metal stress, highlighting the mechanisms employed by microbes to enhance plant tolerance and resilience. Several key strategies such as bioavailability alteration, chelation, detoxification, induced systemic tolerance, horizontal gene transfer, and methylation and demethylation, are examined, alongside the genetic and molecular basis governing these plant–microbe interactions. However, the complexity of plant–microbe interactions, coupled with our limited understanding of the associated mechanisms, presents challenges in their practical application. Thus, this review underscores the necessity of a more detailed understanding of how plants and microbes interact and the importance of using a combined approach from different scientific fields to maximize the benefits of these microbial processes. By advancing our knowledge of plant–microbe synergies in the metabolism of heavy metals, we can develop more effective bioremediation strategies to combat the contamination of soil by heavy metals. Ficus palmata Forssk (Moraceae) and Calotropis procera (Aiton) Dryand (Asclepidaceae) are medicinally important plants. Traditionally, Ficus palmata Forssk is well known to cure gastric and diabetic problems. Both plants are found useful in the treatment of cancerous complications and skin eruptions. The present study was aimed to assess bioactivities of selected plants. Cytotoxicity (brine shrimp lethality assay), antioxidant (ABTS, DPPH, phosphomolybdate and reducing power assay), antimicrobial (disc diffusion method) and phytochemical screening was performed to analyze their activities. Crude extract of leaves and fruit of both plants was prepared in two polar solvents, i.e. methanol and chloroform. Significant cytotoxic potential was shown by fruit of both plants with LD50 values of 80.34 and 93.83 µg/mL by Calotropis procera (Aiton) Dryand methanolic extract and F. palmata chloroform extract, respectively. Methanol extracts of leaves of both plants revealed significant antioxidant, antibacterial and antifungal activity. F. palmata leaves methanol extract showed strong antioxidant activity among the tested samples and the LC50 values were 10.39, 14.63 and 19.28 µg/mL in phosphomolybdate, ABTS and DPPH assays, respectively. Promising microbial growth inhibition was observed at 25 µg/mL. The observed bioactivities are consistent with the presence of valuable phytochemicals: alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, glycosides and saponins. Due to the strong antibacterial, cytotoxic and antioxidant potential endowed by selected plant extracts, these are supposed to be potential candidates for biopharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries. The free living Acanthamoeba spp. are ubiquitous amoebae associated with potentially blinding disease known as Acanthamoeba keratitis (AK) and a fatal central nervous system infection granulomatous amoebic encephalitis (GAE). With the inherent ability of cellular differentiation, it can phenotypically transform to a dormant cyst form from an active trophozoite form. Acanthamoeba cysts are highly resistant to therapeutic agents as well as contact lens cleaning solutions. One way to tackle drug resistance against Acanthamoeba is by inhibiting the formation of cysts from trophozoites. The biochemical analysis showed that the major component of Acanthamoeba cyst wall is composed of carbohydrate moieties such as galactose and glucose. The disaccharide of galactose and glucose is lactose. In this study, we analyzed the potential of lactase enzyme to target carbohydrate moieties of cyst walls. Amoebicidal assessment showed that lactase was ineffective against trophozoite of A. castellanii but enhanced amoebicidal effects of chlorhexidine. The lactase enzyme did not show any toxicity against normal human keratinocyte cells (HaCaT) at the tested range. Hence, lactase can be used for further assessment for development of potential therapeutic agents in the management of Acanthamoeba infection as well as formulation of effective contact lens disinfectants. Hexabromocyclododecane (HBCD) is a widely used brominated flame retardant; however, it is a persistent organic pollutant as well as affects the human thyroid hormones and causes cancer. However, the degradation of HBCD has received little attention from researchers. Due to its bioaccumulative and hazardous properties, an appropriate strategy for its remediation is required. In this study, we investigated the biodegradation of HBCD using Shewanella oneidensis MR-1 under optimized conditions. The Box-Behnken design (BBD) was implemented for the optimization of the physical degradation parameters of HBCD. S. oneidensis MR-1 showed the best degradation performance at a temperature of 30 °C, pH 7, and agitation speed of 115 rpm, with an HBCD concentration of 1125 μg/L in mineral salt medium (MSM). The strain tolerated up to 2000 μg/L HBCD. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis identified three intermediates, including 2-bromo dodecane, 2,7,10-trimethyldodecane, and 4-methyl-1-decene. The results provide an insightful understanding of the biodegradation of HBCD by S. oneidensis MR-1 under optimized conditions and could pave the way for further eco-friendly applications. The findings reveal a time and spectral correlation between them in the short term but an inverse link in the long and medium term. Similarly, the circular economy leads technology innovation in the short term and vice versa in the medium to short term, caused by infrastructure development and business models. The carbon emissions lead technology innovation in the short term and vice versa in the medium run. Furthermore, the existence of technological innovation alters the connection between the circular economy and carbon emissions. The study suggests that upgrading existing infrastructure will enable sectors to produce minimal waste that affects emissions. Acanthamoeba castellanii is the causative agent of fatal encephalitis and blinding keratitis. Current therapies remain a challenge, hence there is a need to search for new therapeutics. Here, we tested embelin (EMB) and silver nanoparticles doped with embelin (EMB–AgNPs) against A. castellanii. Using amoebicidal assays, the results revealed that both compounds inhibited the viability of Acanthamoeba, having an IC50 of 27.16 ± 0.63 and 13.63 ± 1.08 μM, respectively, while causing minimal cytotoxicity against HaCaT cells in vitro. The findings suggest that both samples induced apoptosis through the mitochondria-mediated pathway. Differentially expressed genes analysis showed that 652 genes were uniquely expressed in treated versus untreated cells, out of which 191 were significantly regulated in the negative control vs. conjugate. Combining the analysis, seven genes (ARIH1, RAP1, H3, SDR16C5, GST, SRX1, and PFN) were highlighted as the most significant (Log2 (FC) value ± 4) for the molecular mode of action in vitro. The KEGG analysis linked most of the genes to apoptosis, the oxidative stress signaling pathway, cytochrome P450, Rap1, and the oxytocin signaling pathways. Robotic-assisted breast surgery (RABS) is controversial. We systematically reviewed the evidence about RABS, comparing it to open conventional breast surgery (CBS). Following prospective registration (osf.io/97ewt), a search was performed in January 2023, without time or language restrictions, through bibliographic databases (PubMed, Web of Science, EMBASE, Scopus, Trip database and CDSR) and grey literature. Quality was assessed in duplicate using Qualsyst criteria (score range 0.0–1.0); reviewer agreement was 98%. The 16 selected studies (total patients: 334,804) had overall high quality (mean score 0.82; range 0.68–0.91). Nine of 16 (56.3%) were cohort studies, 2/16 (12.5%) RCTs, and 5/16 (31.3%) case–control studies. Taking p < 0.05 as the significance threshold, RABS versus CBS was better in aesthetic results and patient satisfaction (10/11 studies; 90%), was surgically costly (4/4 studies; 100%), time-consuming (9/13 studies; 69%), and less painful in the first 6–24 h (2/2 studies; 100%) and without statistically significant differences in complication rates (10/12 studies; 83%) or short-term oncological outcomes (10/10 studies; 100%). Surgical time could be dramatically reduced by training surgical teams, reaching no significant differences between approaches (p = 0.120). RABS was shown to be feasible and safe. Multi-trophic and multispecies interactions among family of arthropods assemblages are ubiquitous and include all type of interactions from mutualistic to antagonistic. To better inform the biological control of aphids, the multitrophic interactions between aphids, coccinellids and their parasitoids in natural and managed plant systems were examined over a span of 4 years. Coccinellid larvae naturally found feeding on aphids on two non-crop plants growing in agricultural landscapes in Pakistan were studied; Aphis nerii Boyer de Fonscolombe (Hemiptera: Aphididae) feeding on Calotropis procera Aiton, and Nerium oleander L, and four crop host; Lipaphis erysimi Kalt (Hemiptera: Aphididae) feeding on Eurica sativa Mill. and Brassica campestris L., Uroleucon compositae Theobold (Hemiptera: Aphididae) feeding on Carthamus tinctorius L., and Diuraphis noxia Mordvilko (Hemiptera: Aphididae) feeding on Hordeum vulgare L.; were collected throughout the aphid season and reared on their respective aphid-plant combinations in the laboratory conditions to identify coccinellid species, their parasitoids and asses their performance in items of survival and pupal weight. The coccinellid pupal weight on different host plant-aphid combinations varied from 3.4 to 11.2 mg, as did the mortality of coccinellid larvae due to diseases and unknown causes (5 to 31%). Parasitism of coccinellid larvae by Homalotylus flaminus (Dalman) (Hymenoptera: Encyrtidae) ranged from approximately 10 to 30 in B. campestris and E. sativa, respectively. The parasitism of coccinellid pupae by Oomyzus scaposus (Thomson) (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae) ranged between 17 (C. procera) to 41% (B. compestris). One Dinocampus coccinellae Schrank (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) was reared. Coccinellids displayed selectivity towards host plants and aphids. Some coccinellids were never or rarely recorded on a particular aphid-plant combination, suggesting that their prey selection is more specific than often assumed. Management decision and conservation biological control cannot be based on superficial categories such as "aphids" and "coccinellids" but need to be plant and species specific. Serious human health impacts have been observed worldwide due to several life-threatening diseases such as cancer, candidiasis, hepatic coma, and gastritis etc. Exploration of nature for the treatment of such fatal diseases is an area of immense interest for the scientific community. Based on this idea, the genus Aspergillus was selected to discover its hidden therapeutic potential. The genus Aspergillus is known to possess several biologically active compounds. The current research aimed to assess the biological and pharmacological potency of the extracts of less-studied Aspergillus ficuum (FCBP-DNA-1266) (A. ficuum) employing experimental and bioinformatics approaches. The disc diffusion method was used for the antifungal investigation, and the MTT assay was performed to assess the anticancer effects. Mice were employed as an in vivo model to evaluate the antispasmodic effects. A standard spectrophotometric technique was applied to gauge the urease inhibitory activity. The antifungal studies indicate that both n-hexane and ethyl acetate extracts were significantly active against Candida albicans (C. albicans) with their zone of inhibitions (ZOI) values reported as 19 ± 1.06 mm and 25 ± 0.55 mm, respectively at a dose of 30 µg.mL−1. In vitro cytotoxicity assay against HeLa, fibroblast 3T3, prostate PC3, and breast MCF-7 cancer cell lines was performed. The ethyl acetate extract of A. ficuum was found to be significantly active against MCF-7 with its IC50 value of 43.88 µg.mL−1. However, no substantial effects on the percent cell death of HeLa cancer cell lines were observed. In addition, the A. ficuum extracts also inhibited the urease enzyme compared to standard thiourea. The antispasmodic activity of A. ficuum extract was assessed by an in vivo model and the results demonstrated promising activity at 150 mg.kg−1. Molecular docking results also supported the antifungal, anticancer, and antiurease potency of A. ficuum extract. This study aimed to determine the effect of the structural properties of acetylated bacterial cellulose (ABC) on its in vitro biological performance. Acetylation resulted in several improvements to the ABC, including relaxed fiber arrangement, increased optical transparency (95.5%), and enhanced hydrophobicity, mechanical strength, and thermal stability. The ABC also demonstrated increased fiber diameter (0.122 ± 0.034 µm), pore diameter (333 Å), pore volume (0.533 cc/g), and surface area (195 m2/g) as compared to the pristine BC. Phase-contrast and electron microscopy showed that NIH 3T3 cells adhered to and spread on ABC scaffolds in a 3D growth pattern with extended filopodia. WST-1 assay showed improved cell proliferation on ABC scaffolds and led to the downregulation of Notch receptors in NIH 3T3 cells. Confocal microscopy showed infiltration of cells up to 650 µm into the ABC scaffolds after 14 days. The whole blood clotting assay, plasma recalcification profile, half-maximum absorbance EC50 time (14.55 ± 1.21 min), and Factor XII activation demonstrated that acetylation reduced the thrombogenicity of the ABC scaffolds. Hemolysis rates were within the permissible level (< 5%), and the scaffolds were able to adsorb platelet-poor plasma and plasma proteins (human serum albumin, γ-globulin, human fibrinogen). The improved cell adhesion and proliferation, 3D cell growth pattern, hemocompatibility, and protein adsorption indicate a positive impact of acetylation on the biological properties of ABC scaffolds, suggesting their potential use in tissue engineering and regenerative medicines. In this article, we investigate a tumor-immune and antigen-presenting cells population in the form of a mathematical model. To achieve greater accuracy in understanding the spread of tumor and immune cell populations, we apply the Caputo–Fabrizio (CF) fractional-order derivative. The fixed-point theorems are employed to analyze the uniqueness and existence of the model. The Laplace transform along with the Adomian decomposition approach is used to construct an algorithm for a semi-analytical solution under the CF fractional derivative. The chaotic dynamics of the cancer-immune model are confirmed by the Lyapunov exponents. The article examines how different vaccination protocols can affect tumor dormancy and recurrence. As a lipid-derived compound, jasmonic acid (JA) regulates growth and defense against environmental stresses. An exogenous foliar JA application was investigated in our study (HA; 0.5 mM) on kidney bean plants (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) grown under different salinity stress concentrations (0, 75, and 150 mM NaCl). According to the results, salt concentrations were related to an increase in malondialdehyde (MDA) levels, whereas they declined the chlorophyll content index. In contrast, JA application decreased the level of MDA but increased the chlorophyll content index. Moreover, increasing salinity levels increased proline, phenolic compounds, flavonoids, free amino acid concentrations, and shikimic acid concentrations, as well as the activities of polyphenol oxidase (PPO), ascorbate peroxidase (APX), catalase (CAT), and peroxidase (POD). In addition, JA applications further increased their concentrations with increasing salinity stress levels. JA application increases salt-induced osmolytes and non-enzymatic antioxidants while increasing enzymatic antioxidant activity, suggesting kidney beans have a strong antioxidant mechanism, which can adapt to salinity stress. Our results showed that exogenous JA foliar applications could enhance the salt tolerance ability of kidney bean plants by upregulating their antioxidant mechanism and osmolytes. This manuscript theoretically investigates atomic microscopy at the interface of a silver silica A g S i O 2 nano-composite and cesium atomic medium using surface plasmon polariton dispersion relation. The study reveals the measurement of sharp localization peaks on both the real and imaginary parts of the dispersion relation of SPPs. A sharp single localization peak is reported in sub-half wave length domain having minimum uncertainty in position with high precision probability. The study also reveals double, triple, four, and even five localized peaks in one wavelength domain with the high intensity of control field. The localization probability at the imaginary part ranges from 30–35%, while the real part ranges from 96–98% on the dispersion relation of SPPs. The significance of this work is that the localization probability is enhanced with the volume fractional change of the nano-particle without disturbing the position uncertainty. The current research presents a novel and sustainable load-bearing system utilizing cellular lightweight concrete block masonry walls. These blocks, known for their eco-friendly properties and increasing popularity in the construction industry, have been studied extensively for their physical and mechanical characteristics. However, this study aims to expand upon previous research by examining the seismic performance of these walls in a seismically active region, where cellular lightweight concrete block usage is emerging. The study includes the construction and testing of multiple masonry prisms, wallets, and full-scale walls using a quasi-static reverse cyclic loading protocol. The behavior of the walls is analyzed and compared in terms of various parameters such as force–deformation curve, energy dissipation, stiffness degradation, deformation ductility factor, response modification factor, and seismic performance levels, as well as rocking, in-plane sliding, and out-of-plane movement. The results indicate that the use of confining elements significantly improves the lateral load capacity, elastic stiffness, and displacement ductility factor of the confined masonry wall in comparison to an unreinforced masonry wall by 102%, 66.67%, and 5.3%, respectively. A range of substituted arylidene chromane-2,4-dione derivatives 1–30 were synthesized by the condensation reaction between 6-chloro-4-hydroxycoumarin and different benzaldehydes in ethanol. All synthesized derivatives are structurally new and fully characterized by various spectroscopic approaches. Compounds were tested for α-amylase inhibitory and radical (DPPH and ABTS) scavenging activities in vitro. When compared to the standard acarbose (IC50 = 12.9 ± 0.1 µM), all derivatives showed significant inhibitory activity against the α-amylase enzyme, with IC50 values ranging from 7.7 ± 0.1 to 60.7 ± 0.1 µM. Compounds were also found to be good radical scavengers of DPPH (IC50 = 21.6 ± 0.2 to 92.1 ± 0.1 µM) and ABTS (IC50 = 22.4 ± 0.1 to 92.7 ± 0.1 µM), compared to standard ascorbic acid (DPPH, IC50 = 14.4 ± 0.1; ABTS, IC50 = 14.9 ± 0.1 µM). Micronutrient deficiency in human nutrition is widening in the developing world especially where cereals are the major calorie intake source. A study was conducted comprising pot and field experiments on rice. Rice pot experiment was conducted using differing levels of Zn and Fe (2.5, 5.0, 7.5 mg kg−1 soil) fertilization. Maximum grain yield was with Zn + Fe@5 + 2.5 mg kg−1 (39%) over control. Highest significant increase in grain Zn and Fe density was attained with Zn and Fe@7.5 mg kg−1. Best performing treatments in pots were applied in the field experiment. It included different levels of zinc and iron alone (10, 15 kg ha−1) and in combinations (10 + 5, 5 + 10 kg ha−1) and a control (without Zn and Fe). Maximum grain yield was found with Zn + Fe@10 + 5 kg ha−1 soil, 30% increase over control. Zinc and Fe contents were at maximum (37.9 and 34.2 µg g−1) with Zn@15 kg ha−1 and Fe@5 + 10 kg ha−1, respectively. Estimated human bioavailability of Zn augmented by 64% over control with Zn@15 kg ha−1. Iron bioavailability improved as [phytate]:[Fe] decreased significantly. High-quality clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) and consensus statements (CSs) are essential for evidence-based medicine. The purpose of this systematic review was to appraise the quality and reporting of colorectal cancer (CRC) screening CPGs and CSs. After prospective registration (Prospero no: CRD42021286156), a systematic review searched CRC guidances in duplicate without language restrictions in ten databases, 20 society websites, and grey literature from 2018 to 2021. We appraised quality with AGREE II (% of maximum score) and reporting with RIGHT (% of total 35 items) tools. Twenty-four CPGs and 5 CSs were analysed. The median overall quality and reporting were 54.0% (IQR 45.7–75.0) and 42.0% (IQR 31.4–68.6). The applicability had low quality (AGREE II score <50%) in 83% of guidances (24/29). Recommendations and conflict of interest were low-reported (RIGHT score <50%) in 62% guidances (18/29) and 69% (20/29). CPGs that deployed systematic reviews had better quality and reporting than CSs (AGREE: 68.5% vs. 35.5%; p = 0.001; RIGHT: 74.6% vs. 41.4%; p = 0.001). In summary, CRC screening CPGs and CSs achieved low quality and reporting. It is necessary a revision and an improvement of the current guidances. Frass is the main component of worm by-product which exhibit anti-microbial and anti-pathogenic properties. In the present study, we assessed the possibility of mealworm frass in sheep feeding regime and evaluated its effect on health and growth performance of sheep. A total of 09 experimental sheep (18–24 months of age) were grouped into three categories (T1, T3, and T3); each group comprised 3 animals including 2 males and 1 female. Group T1 was considered control, group T2 contains 75% commercial feed and 25 mealworm frass, and T3 was 50:50 of commercial feed and mealworm frass. The sheep in group T2 showed average weight gain of 2.9 kg; however, when the dietary inclusion increased up to 50% of mealworm frass or decreased up to 50% of concentrate feed, the average weight gain decreased up to 2.01 kg (group T3). Moreover, the sheep fed with 25% mealworm frass exhibited the lowest feed refusal percentage (6.33%) in total duration of the dietary period (6 weeks). The highest volume of RBC was found in blood collected from sheep fed within group T2 (10.22 1012/L ± 0.34), followed by sheep fed in group T3 (8.96 × 1012/L ± 0.99) (P < 0.05). Significantly (P < 0.05) highest MCV volume in fL (femtoliter) was found in group T2 (32.83 ± 0.44) followed by group T3 (31.23 ± 0.23). The animals in group T3 showed significantly (P < 0.05) highest MCHC volume (40.47 g/dL ± 0.62) followed by group T2 (38.77 ± 0.97). Similar trend was found in MPV (fL); significantly (P < 0.05) highest MPV volume was found in group T3 (12.63 ± 0.09) followed by group T2 (12.53 ± 0.33). Significantly (P < 0.05) high serum phosphorous (P) (6.00 ± 0.29), TG (60.03 ± 3.11), and TP (7.63 g/dL ± 0.23) levels were found in group T3, followed by animals in group T2. We can conclude that inclusion of mealworm frass to replace 25% commercial concentrate feed improved the growth rate and overall health status of the sheep. The aim of this study was to find out the genetic polymorphism in β-casein gene CSN2 in Azi-Kheli buffaloes found in district Swat. Blood samples from 250 buffaloes were collected and processed in lab for sequencing to see the genetic polymorphism in CSN2 gene on 67 position of exon7. The β-casein is a milk second abundant protein having some variants, wherein A1 and A2 are the most common. After performing sequence analysis, it was found that Azi-Kheli buffaloes were homozygous for only A2 type variant. The amino acid change (proline to histadine) on 67 position of exon 7 was not found; however, three other novel SNPs at loci g.20545A > G, g.20570G > A, and g.20693C > A were identified in the study. Amino acid change due to SNPs were found as SNP1, valine > proline; SNP2, leucin > phenylalanine; and SNP3, threonine > valine. Allelic and genotypic frequencies’ analysis exhibited that all three SNPs were following the Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium (HWE: P < 0.05). All the three SNPs showed medium PIC value and gene heterozygosity. The SNPs located on different position of exon 7 of CSN2 gene exhibited associations with some of the performance traits and milk composition. Higher daily milk yield of 9.86 ± 0.43 L and the peak milk yield of 13.80 ± 0.60 L were found in response to SNP3 followed by SNP2 and SNP1. The percentage of milk fat and protein was found significantly higher (P ≤ 0.05) in relation to SNP3 followed by SNP2 and SNP1 given as 7.88 ± 0.41, 7.48 ± 0.33, and 7.15 ± 0.48 for fat% and 4.00 ± 0.15, 3.73 ± 0.10 and 3.40 ± 0.10 for protein%. It was concluded that Azi-Kheli buffalo milk contains A2 genetic variant along with other useful novel variants indicating quality milk for human health. A two-step reaction method was used to synthesize a series of rhodanine-based Schiff bases (2–33) that were characterized using spectroscopic techniques. All compounds were assessed for α-amylase inhibitory and radical scavenging (DPPH and ABTS) activities. In comparison to the standard acarbose (IC50 = 9.08 ± 0.07 µM), all compounds demonstrated good to moderate α-amylase inhibitory activity (IC50 = 10.91 ± 0.08–61.89 ± 0.102 µM). Compounds also demonstrated significantly higher DPPH (IC50 = 10.33 ± 0.02–96.65 ± 0.03 µM) and ABTS (IC50 = 12.01 ± 0.12–97.47 ± 0.13 µM) radical scavenging activities than ascorbic acid (DPPH, IC50 = 15.08 ± 0.03 µM; ABTS, IC50 = 16.09 ± 0.17 µM). The limited structure-activity relationship (SAR) suggests that the position and nature of the substituted groups on the phenyl ring have a vital role in varying inhibitory potential. Among the series, compounds with an electron-withdrawing group at the para position showed the highest potency. Kinetic studies revealed that the compounds followed a competitive mode of inhibition. Environmental pollution caused by organic pollutants, radionuclides, and potentially toxic elements (PTEs) affects the quality of the biosphere (water, air, and soil). Rapid industrial growth, mining, agricultural inputs, sewage water, and industrial effluents application in soil all contribute to contamination. Remediation of these valuable resources, as well as prevention of new pollutants, have long been required to avoid negative health effects. Several remediation strategies have been applied for environmental pollutants. Phytoremediation is potentially a viable and promising approach which uses green plants to remove, detoxify, or degrade toxic PTEs from the environment. In this review, the application of phytotechnology for pollutants removal and their underlying mechanisms (phytoextraction/phytoaccumulation, phytotransformation, phytostimulation, phytovolatilization, phytorhizodegration, and phytostabilization) were studied. The current study pointed out that the efficiency of phytoremediation can be affected by various factors such as treatment time, temperature, pH, EC, OM, plant density, electric field, and chelating agents. In the end, this review systematically summarized existing knowledge, merits/demerits, prospects, and future aspects of the phytoremediation for remediating polluted soil and water bodies. The study assesses the relationship between technology innovation and renewable energy in the G10 countries. According to the findings, technology innovation has a significant impact on renewable energy in various countries, including Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, the UK, and the USA. It argues that technological innovation is one of the most important elements in renewable energy in these countries because of their strong innovative base and huge spending on research and development. However, the results for the remaining countries show no causation from technology innovation to renewable energy, implying that variables other than technology innovation drive renewable energy development. On the other hand, renewable energy does Granger cause technology innovation in Germany, the Netherlands, and the USA. These countries need to invest in implementation instead of spending on the existing infrastructure. Purpose: To investigate the possibility that altered actions of endogenous progesterone affect receptivity and contribute to unexplained infertility (UI). Methods: Two authors electronically searched MEDLINE, CINAHL and Embase databases from inception to 6 July 2022 and hand-searched according to Cochrane methodology. We included all published primary research reporting outcomes related to endogenous progesterone in natural cycles in women with UI. Studies were assessed for risk of bias using a modified Newcastle–Ottawa Score or NHLBI Score. We pooled results where appropriate using a random-effects model. Findings were reported as odds ratios or mean differences. Results: We included 41 studies (n = 4023). No difference was found between the mid-luteal serum progesterone levels of women with UI compared to fertile controls (MD 0.74, − 0.31–1.79, I2 36%). Women with UI had significantly higher rates of 'out-of-phase' endometrium than controls. Nine out of 10 progesterone-mediated markers of endometrial receptivity were significantly reduced in women with UI compared to fertile controls (the remaining 1 had conflicting results). Resistance in pelvic vessels was increased and perfusion of the endometrium and sub-endometrium reduced in UI compared to fertile controls in all included studies. Progesterone receptor expression and progesterone uptake were also reduced in women with unexplained infertility. Conclusions: End-organ measures of endogenous progesterone activity are reduced in women with UI compared to fertile controls. This apparently receptor-mediated reduction in response affects endometrial receptivity and is implicated as the cause of the infertility. Further research is required to confirm whether intervention could overcome this issue, offering a new option for treating unexplained infertility. The zizphus seeds are considered as a biomaterial residues that has been used for removing of organic industrial waste such as 2-((10-octyl-9,10-dihydroanthracene-2-yl) methylene) malononitrile (PTZS-CN) dye from aqueous solutions utilizing graphene oxide-Ziziphus (GO-Ziziphus). A batch study explored the impacts of various experimental circumstances, including solution pH, initial dye concentration, temperature, and contact time. General order, nonlinear pseudo-first order and pseudo-second order, elvoich model and intraparticiple diffusion were utilized to analyze the kinetic data. The adsorption kinetics of dye onto GO-ziziphus adsorption was best mentioned by nonlinear pseudo-first order. Similarly, the intra-particle diffusion plots revealed one exponential line throughout the adsorption process. The Freundlich, Dubinin-Radushkevich, and Langmuir models were employed to examine isothermal data. It provided the best fit of the dye adsorption isothermal data onto GO-ziziphus Freundlich models. Besides, the calculated free energies showed that the adsorption progression was physical adsorption. Thermodynamic calculations revealed that dye adsorption onto GO-ziziphus was exothermic and spontaneous. The combined results indicated that GO-ziziphus powder might be used to treat dye-rich wastewater effectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
