Background: RNA editing from A (adenine nucleotide) to I (hypoxanthine nucleotide) mediated by ADARs has attracted more and more attention as an important post-transcriptional processing method. This research investigates the regulatory mechanism of A-to-I-edited miR-1251-5p in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). Methods: RT-qPCR, Western blot, and Immunohistochemistry assays measured miRNA and gene expression. Colony formation, CCK-8, Transwell, Wound-healing, and Animal assays were used to determine MiRNA function. Luciferase reporter assay tested miRNA downstream target. Results: ADAR1 increased the A-to-I editing efficiency of miR-1251-5p in LUAD cells. In comparison to the unedited wild-type form, edited miR-1251-5p exhibits a marked inhibition of tumor growth and metastasis in LUAD. Moreover, knockdown of TCF7 also exhibits tumor inhibitory effect in LUAD development. Mechanically, edited miR-1251-5p inactivates Wnt signaling pathway by inhibiting TCF7, MYC, and CCND1 expression. Conclusion: Compared with original miR-1251-5p, edited miR-1251-5p has stronger anti-cancer effect on LUAD development through inactivating Wnt signaling pathway by inhibiting TCF7. Raman spectroscopy exhibits potential as a tool for identifying the chemical composition of substances and has witnessed a growing application in urological oncology. This study undertook a bibliometric analysis to chart the present state and future prospects of Raman spectroscopy applications in urological tumors. The present study retrieved literature on the utilization of Raman spectroscopy in urological oncology from the Science Citation Index Expanded of Web of Science Core Collection, spanning from its inception to June 2023. Data from included studies were analyzed using CiteSpace, Python, and Excel. Our study examined 897 articles from 65 countries and identified a significant exponential growth in annual publications. The USA and China were prominent contributors to this field, with high publication rates and funding agencies. Shanghai Jiao Tong University emerged as the most influential institution. The journals Analytical Chemistry and Analyst were found to be the most productive. Our keyword analysis revealed an intense interest for "gold nanoparticle" and "pathology," with the most recent bursts occurring for "surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS)," "biomarkers," and "prostate specific antigen." As a detection tool, Raman spectroscopy holds the potential to assist in the identification, management, and prognostication of urological tumors. Notably, adjuvant diagnosis and prognosis evaluation based on SERS of tumor markers is a hot research topic. Continuous monitoring for immunosuppressive status, infection and complications are a must for kidney transplantation (KTx) recipients. Traditional monitoring including blood sampling and kidney biopsy, which caused tremendous medical cost and trauma. Therefore, a cheaper and less invasive approach was urgently needed. We thought that a breath test has the potential to become a feasible tool for KTx monitoring. A prospective-specimen collection, retrospective-blinded assessment strategy was used in this study. Exhaled breath samples from 175 KTx recipients were collected in West China Hospital and tested by online ultraviolet photoionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (UVP-TOF–MS). The classification models based on breath test performed well in classifying normal and abnormal values of creatinine, estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR), blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and tacrolimus, with AUC values of 0.889, 0.850, 0.849 and 0.889, respectively. Regression analysis also demonstrated the predictive ability of breath test for clinical creatinine, eGFR, BUN, tacrolimus level, as the predicted values obtained from the regression model correlated well with the clinical true values (p < 0.05). The findings of this investigation implied that a breath test by using UVP-TOF–MS for KTx recipient monitoring is possible and accurate, which might be useful for future clinical screenings. Purpose: To investigate the role of different dosages and initial times of aspirin in preeclampsia prevention. Methods: This meta-analysis was performed based on randomized-control trials (RCTs). RCTs of women assigned to receive low-dose aspirin, placebo, or no treatment were included. Preeclampsia and corresponding complications were pooled for analysis. All studies were retrieved from PubMed, Embase, Cochrane and Web of Science. Results: A total of 46 studies were obtained in this meta-analysis, which consisted of 24,028 participants. When women at ≤ 16 gestational weeks started treatment with a dosage of < 100 mg/day aspirin, there was a significant reduction in the incidence of preeclampsia (RR = 0.75; 95% CI 0.58–0.98; P = 0.03), while in the subgroup receiving ≥ 100 mg/day aspirin, the result was RR = 0.71 (95% CI 0.53–0.95; P = 0.02). When aspirin was initiated at > 16 weeks, with a dosage of < 100 mg/day aspirin, there was a lesser preventive effect (RR = 0.80; 95% Cl 0.64–1.00; P = 0.05), and there was no significance in the subgroup receiving ≥ 100 mg/day aspirin (RR = 0.76; 95% Cl 0.45–1.31; P = 0.32). Furthermore, aspirin was revealed to have a protective effect on reducing preterm delivery, but there was an increased risk of postpartum hemorrhage. No significant result was obtained for fetal loss. Conclusion: The results of this meta-analysis suggest that high-risk pregnant women can prevent preeclampsia or preterm delivery by taking low-dose aspirin; the most efficient period is ≤ 16 weeks of gestation, and the best dose is ≥ 100 mg. In this paper, an optical time-domain fractional Fourier transformation (FRFT) system is proposed to achieve the minimum distortion transmission under combined effects of chromatic dispersion and self-phase modulation (SPM). In the new method, the pulses operated as FRFT will propagate in a new domain, in which the waveform in time domain will keep nearly unchanged through the transmission. The novel method achieves a 400 km optical transmission for an optical pulse with the full width at the 1/ e point of peak power of 80 ps without any dispersion compensation and the pulse offers a nice performance with negligible nonlinear distortion. Compared with the soliton communication, this scheme shows more advantages on linear and nonlinear distortions without strict restriction to input pulses. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
