This article discusses the complications that can arise from Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy (LSG), a commonly performed bariatric procedure. The article highlights the serious and sometimes fatal complications that can occur, such as staple line leaks and bleeding. The authors share a case study of a patient who developed a distal staple line leak that resulted in a peri-gastric blood collection. They describe the use of endoscopic internal drainage with double pigtails as a treatment option, which led to a resolution of symptoms and reduction of the blood collection. The article concludes that internal drainage can be effective in managing peri-gastric blood collections following LSG. [Extracted from the article]
