Amid the escalating global climatic challenges, hydrological risks significantly influence human settlement patterns, underscoring the imperative for an in-depth comprehension of hydrological change's ramifications on human migration. However, predominant research has been circumscribed to the national level. The study delves into the nonlinear effects of hydrological risks on migration dynamics in 46,776 global subnational units. Meanwhile, leveraging remote sensing, we procured globally consistent metrics of hydrological intrusion exposure, offering a holistic risk assessment encompassing hazard, exposure, and vulnerability dimensions, thus complementing previous work. Here, we show that exposure is the primary migration driver, surpassing socioeconomic factors. Surrounding disparities further intensified exposure's impact. Vulnerable groups, especially the economically disadvantaged and elderly, tend to remain in high-risk areas, with the former predominantly migrating within proximate vicinities. The nonlinear analysis delineates an S-shaped trajectory for hydrological exposure, transitioning from resistance to migration and culminating in entrapment, revealing dependence on settlement resilience and adaptability. Microbes play a key role in the biology, ecology, and evolution of arthropods. Despite accumulating data on microbial communities in arthropods that feed on plants using piercing-sucking mouthparts, we still lack a comprehensive understanding of the composition and assembly factors of the microbiota, particularly in field-collected spider mites. Here, we applied 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing to investigate the characters of the bacterial community in 140 samples representing 420 mite individuals, belonging to eight Tetranychus species (Acari: Tetranychidae) collected from 26 sites in China. The results showed that the bacterial composition of spider mites varied significantly among different species, locations, and plants. The environment showed a significant influence on the bacterial community of spider mites, with different relative contributions. Latitude and precipitation were found to be the main factors influencing the bacterial community composition. The dissimilarity of bacterial community and geographical distance between mite locations were significantly correlated. The assembly of spider mite bacterial communities seemed to be mainly influenced by stochastic processes. Furthermore, the symbiont Cardinium was found to be important in shaping the microbiota of many Tetranychus species. The relative abundance of Cardinium was > 50% in T. viennensis, T. urticae G, T. urticae R, and T. turkestani. Removing Cardinium reads from our analysis significantly changed Shannon diversity index and weighted beta diversity in these species. Altogether, this study provides novel insights into bacterial diversity patterns that contribute to our knowledge of the symbiotic relationships between arthropods and their bacterial communities. In2O3 is an effective electrocatalyst to convert CO2 to formic acid (HCOOH), but its inherent poor electrical conductivity limits the efficient charge transfer during the reaction. Additionally, the tendency of In2O3 particles to agglomerate during synthesis further limits the exposure of active sites. Here we address these issues by leveraging the template effect of graphene oxide and employing InBDC as a self-sacrificing template for the pyrolysis synthesis of In2O3@C. The resulting In2O3@C/rGO-600 material features In2O3@C nanocubes uniformly anchored on a support of reduced graphene oxide (rGO), significantly enhancing the active sites exposure. The conductive rGO network facilitates charge transfer during electrocatalysis, and the presence of oxygen vacancies generated during pyrolysis, combined with the strong electron-donating ability of rGO, enhances the adsorption and activation of CO2. In performance evaluation, In2O3@C/rGO-600 exhibits a remarkable HCOOH Faradaic efficiency exceeding 94.0% over a broad potential window of −0.7 to −1.0 V (vs. reversible hydrogen electrode (RHE)), with the highest value of 97.9% at −0.9 V (vs. RHE) in a H-cell. Moreover, the material demonstrates an excellent cathodic energy efficiency of 71.6% at −0.7 V (vs. RHE). Efficient operation of control systems in robotics or autonomous driving targeting real-world navigation scenarios requires perception methods that allow them to understand and adapt to unstructured environments with good accuracy, adaptation, and generality, similar to humans. To address this need, we present a memristor-based differential neuromorphic computing, perceptual signal processing, and online adaptation method providing neuromorphic style adaptation to external sensory stimuli. The adaptation ability and generality of this method are confirmed in two application scenarios: object grasping and autonomous driving. In the former, a robot hand realizes safe and stable grasping through fast (~ 1 ms) adaptation based on the tactile object features with a single memristor. In the latter, decision-making information of 10 unstructured environments in autonomous driving is extracted with an accuracy of 94% with a 40×25 memristor array. By mimicking human low-level perception mechanisms, the electronic neuromorphic circuit-based method achieves real-time adaptation and high-level reactions to unstructured environments. This work introduces a silent speech interface (SSI), proposing a few-layer graphene (FLG) strain sensing mechanism based on thorough cracks and AI-based self-adaptation capabilities that overcome the limitations of state-of-the-art technologies by simultaneously achieving high accuracy, high computational efficiency, and fast decoding speed while maintaining excellent user comfort. We demonstrate its application in a biocompatible textile-integrated ultrasensitive strain sensor embedded into a smart choker, which conforms to the user's throat. Thanks to the structure of ordered through cracks in the graphene-coated textile, the proposed strain gauge achieves a gauge factor of 317 with <5% strain, corresponding to a 420% improvement over existing textile strain sensors fabricated by printing and coating technologies reported to date. Its high sensitivity allows it to capture subtle throat movements, simplifying signal processing and enabling the use of a computationally efficient neural network. The resulting neural network, based on a one-dimensional convolutional model, reduces computational load by 90% while maintaining a remarkable 95.25% accuracy in speech decoding. The synergy in sensor design and neural network optimization offers a promising solution for practical, wearable SSI systems, paving the way for seamless, natural silent communication in diverse settings. Under prolonged stress conditions, the tunnel surrounding rock produces a time-varying mechanical response, which poses a serious threat to the life cycle of the tunnel project. In this paper, a series of uniaxial compression tests were carried out on tunnel sandstone from Jiulongpo District using a self-developed rock servo instrument and acoustic emission (AE) testing system. Then, based on the theory of asymptotic damage evolution behaviour, different stress levels were set and multi-stage creep tests were conducted. The results show that the sandstone creep only exhibits a decelerated creep phase and a stabilised creep phase at the first three stress levels, while the accelerated creep phase is extremely obvious at the fourth stress level. The total number of acoustic emission events and total energy remained relatively constant in the stable creep stage, increased slightly in the decelerated creep stage, and increased significantly in the accelerated creep stage, and the distribution characteristics of the absolute energy of acoustic emission in different creep stages differed significantly. The probability density algorithm of the RA-AF scatterplot indicated that tensile cracks accounted for a larger proportion than shear cracks during the whole creep process. Finally, the constant parameters in the Burgers model were replaced by power-law functions with time-varying characteristics, and a nonlinear viscoplastic unit was introduced into the Burgers model to construct a nonlinear creep constitutive model that can describe the whole creep stage and has time-varying characteristics. The new model can quantitatively describe and predict the whole process of sandstone creep with high accuracy. Depression induced by weightlessness exposure in spaceflight has seriously affected astronauts’ psychology and flight missions, but the preventive and treatment methods remain limited. Here, we used systems pharmacology to identify the potential bioactive compounds from Hippophae rhamnoides L. (HR) for treating depression caused by weightlessness. First, isorhamnetin was screened out as a potential drug in HR for treating depression. Further, the therapeutic effect of isorhamnetin was investigated in depression induced by weightlessness using the hindlimb unloading (HLU) rat model. We found that treatment with isorhamnetin notably shortened immobility time during forced swimming tests and tail suspension tests in HLU rats. The hematoxylin-eosin staining results revealed that isorhamnetin could ameliorate morphological damage to the hippocampus of HLU-induced rats. Moreover, exposure to HLU caused increased corticosterone (CORT) and adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) concentrations in serum. Administration with isorhamnetin for four weeks reduced the ACTH and CORT content in HLU rats. The 5-hydroxytryptamine and dopamine content in hippocampus were reduced in HLU rats, which were increased after isorhamnetin-treatment. Conclusively, isorhamnetin can alleviate the depression and hippocampus damage induced by weightlessness. Our study identified that isorhamnetin could be a natural bioactive drug for depression. It remains a great challenge to engineer materials with strong and stable interactions for the simultaneously mechanical-robust and room temperature phosphorescence-efficient materials. In this work, we demonstrate a covalent cross-linking strategy to engineer mechanical-robust room temperature phosphorescence materials through the B–O click reaction between chromophores, polyvinyl alcohol matrix and inorganic layered double hydroxide nanosheets. Through the covalent cross-linkage between the organic polyvinyl alcohol and inorganic layered double hydroxide, a polymeric composite with ultralong lifetime up to 1.45 s is acquired based on the inhibited non-radiative transition of chromophores. Simultaneously, decent mechanical strength of 97.9 MPa can be realized for the composite materials due to the dissipated loading stress through the covalent-bond-accommodated interfacial interaction. These cross-linked composites also exhibit flexibility, processability, scalability and phosphorescence responses towards the mechanical deformation. It is anticipated that the proposed covalent click reaction could provide a platform for the design and modulation of composites with multi-functionality and long-term durability. Materials with room temperature phosphorescence that are mechanically robust are desirable, but can be challenging to obtain. Gait recognition is a biometric recognition technology, where the goal is to identify the subject by the subject's walking posture at a distance. However, a lot of redundant information in gait sequence will affect the performance of gait recognition, and the most existing gait recognition models are overly complicated and parameterized, which leads to the low efficiency in model training. Consequently, how to reduce the complexity of the model and eliminate redundant information effectively in gait have become a challenging problem in the field of gait recognition. In this paper, we present a residual structure based gait recognition model, short for ResGait, to learn the most discriminative changes of gait patterns. To eliminate redundant information in gait, the soft thresholding is inserted into the deep architectures as a nonlinear transformation layer to improve gait feature learning capability from the noised gait feature map. Moreover, each sample owns unique set of thresholds, making the proposed model suitable for different gait sequences with different redundant information. Furthermore, residual link is introduced to reduce the learning difficulties and alleviate computational costs in model training. Here, we train the network in terms of various scenarios and walking conditions, and the effectiveness of the method is validated through abundant experiments with various types of redundant information in gait. In comparison to the previous state-of-the-art works, experimental results on the common datasets, CASIA-B and OUMVLP-Pose, show that ResGait has higher recognition accuracy under various walking conditions and scenarios. In terms of developing supercritical CO2 (sCO2) coal-fired power plants, enhancing cooling wall performance is one of significant factors to improve system performance. In this paper, a new cooling wall tube structure is proposed to match the non-uniform heat flux (NUH) with the thermal resistance by changing the cooling wall tube eccentricity. A three-dimensional multi-physical coupling model of cooling wall is constructed to compare the novel structure to the conventional structures. The properties of fluid dynamics, thermal stress, coupled heat transfer and cooling wall deformation are analyzed. In contrast to the traditional structure, the maximum temperature and circumferential temperature difference (CTD) of the proposed structure can be reduced by 2% and 27.4%, respectively. The essential working parameters related to the performances of the cooling wall tube are discussed. The maximum temperature of the new structure is reduced by 8–13 K and the maximum thermal stress is reduced by about 10%–15% under all the simulated working conditions when the eccentricity changes from 0 to 0.2. The proposed structure can effectively reduce the maximum temperature and circumferential temperature gradient under NUH. Ferroptosis is characterized by excessive accumulation of iron and lipid peroxides, which are involved in ischemia, reperfusion-induced organ injury, and stroke. Propofol, an anesthetic agent, has neuroprotective effects due to its potent antioxidant, anti-ischemic, and anti-inflammatory properties. However, the relationship between propofol and ferroptosis is still unclear. In the current study, we elucidated the role of ferroptosis in the neuroprotective effect of propofol in mouse brains subjected to cerebral ischemia reperfusion injury (CIRI). Ferroptosis was confirmed by Western blotting assays, transmission electron microscopy, and glutathione assays. Propofol regulated Nrf2/Gpx4 signaling, enhanced antioxidant potential, inhibited the accumulation of lipid peroxides in CIRI-affected neurons, and significantly reversed CIRI-induced ferroptosis. Additionally, Gpx4 inhibitor RSL3 and Nrf2 inhibitor ML385 attenuated the effects of propofol on antioxidant capacity, lipid peroxidation, and ferroptosis in CIRI-affected neurons. Our data support a protective role of propofol against ferroptosis as a cause of cell death in mice with CIRI. Propofol protected against CIRI-induced ferroptosis partly by regulating the Nrf2/Gpx4 signaling pathway. Using supercritical CO2 (S-CO2) instead of water steam as heat transfer fluid for coal-fired power plants is another way to further improve the power generation efficiency. In this paper, a multi-field coupling model that integrates fluid flow, heat transfer and thermal stress is proposed to solve the complex problem. The effects of the key operating parameters on the performances of the cooling wall are numerically investigated. More details of the characteristics of fluid dynamics, thermal stress, pressure drop, coupled heat transfer and the whole flow and temperature fields in the S-CO2 cooling wall are revealed and discussed. A comparison study is made between the cooling wall tube and waterwall tube. Both temperature and thermal deformations of cooling wall tube are much higher than that of water. Numerical simulation results indicate that inclination angle has little effects on the temperature distribution, while increase of pressure drop is obvious as the inclination angle increases. Increasing tube diameter can effectively reduce both the pressure drop and the temperature of the cooling wall tube. As a result, a new insight is introduced for the design of S-CO2 power cycle. A comprehensive characterisation of the pore structure in shale oil reservoirs is essential for forecasting oil production and exploration risks. This study forecasted these risks in the oil-rich Songliao Basin using combination of high-resolution field emission scanning electron microscopy and quantitative X-ray diffraction to analyze the pore genesis and evolution mode within the first member of the Cretaceous Qingshankou Formation (K2qn1). The results showed the dominance of inorganic pores over organic pores, wherein diagenetic processes, such as compaction, pressure solution, and cementation, were responsible for the destruction of pore structure in the formation. Notably, the pores formed by dissolution and shrinkage cracks resulting from clay mineral transformation improved the oil storage space. Furthermore, according to the geochemical data and clay composition, the K2qn1 shale is in the middle diagenetic stage A, which can be further subdivided into A1 and A2 stages from top to bottom. The porosity slowly decreased in both sub-stages A1 and A2, wherein the decrease was stable in the latter. Purpose: The removal of three inverted triangular parallel cannulated screws after the femoral neck fracture healing is sometimes accompanied by osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH) or its refracture. The purpose of this study was to determine the biomechanical changes of the femur before and after the screw removal using a finite element analysis.Methods: The CT data of the femurs were obtained from a 69-year-old healthy female to establish the femur models. The established finite element models consisted of N, C, and R groups: N group, the normal femur; C group (to simulate the femoral neck fracture healing after the internal fixation), the normal femur with three inverted triangular parallel cannulated screws (C1) or with two upper parallel screws (C2). For the R1 or R2 groups, the screws in the model of the C1 or C2 individuals were gradually removed in seven or three types of different screw combinations, respectively. The stresses and displacements of the femur were determined.Results: (1) Compared with the N group, a uniform stress distribution was stopped by the addition of three screws in the C1 group; in contrast, all screw removals resulted in the stress concentration on the screw holes and the disappearance of stress shielding. Moreover, the average stress of the femoral head in C1 group increased by 37.85%, while that of the femoral neck decreased by 23.03%. (2) Compared with the C1 group, while only the lowest femoral calcar screw was removed, there was a similar stress distribution in the proximal femur, and the average stress of the femoral head increased only by 0.35% although that of the femoral neck increased by 63.62%; however, removal by any other means resulted in a significant stress concentration in the proximal femur and a significant increase in the average stresses of the femoral head and neck (5.96-40.95% and 12.82-75.46%, respectively). (3) Compared with the N or C1 group, there was a significant stress concentration on the screws and its surrounding proximal femur in the C2 group. (4) Compared with the C2 group, the simultaneous removal of two upper screws not only did not cause a significant stress concentration on the proximal femur but also significantly reduced the average stresses of the femoral head and neck by 87.49% and 65.51% respectively. On the contrary, the gradual removal of two screws caused a significant stress concentration on the screw and its surrounding proximal femur although the average stresses of the femoral head and neck decreased by 88.79-89.06% and 67.00-67.22%, respectively. (5) Compared with the N group, the average displacements of the femoral head and neck in the C1 group increased only by 3.12% and 3.37%, respectively. Additionally, compared with the C1 group, while three, two, or one screw was simultaneously removed, the average displacements of the femoral head and neck only fluctuated - 5.51-1.65% and 1.78-9.03%, respectively.Conclusions: Residual internal fixation after femoral neck fracture healing may lead to stress concentration on screws and stress shielding around screws. The first removal of the lowest femoral calcar screw and then the second removal of two upper residual screws have a minimum effect on the stress concentration on the proximal femur and the average stress on the femoral head. Fracture healing progress monitoring techniques attract global research attention due to the importance of selecting the timing of removing the fixation device. To this end, in this research, we present a piezoelectric-based smart internal fixation device, in which a piezoelectric sandwich structure is laminated to the surface of a bone plate. In the content, we explain the reasons for utilizing piezoelectric films, elaborate the mechanism of fracture monitoring, and introduce the mechanical parameters of the sensor. The simulation and experimental results show that the electrical output of the device is associated with the elastic modulus of the filler between the tested broken bones when the working load is maintained, indicating that the bone recovery progress could be successfully detected by the developed technique. Bone loss induced by microgravity exposure seriously endangers the astronauts' health, but its countermeasures still have certain limitations. The study aims to find potential protective drugs for the prevention of the microgravity-induced bone loss. Here, we utilized the network pharmacology approach to discover a natural compound calycosin by constructing the compound-target interaction network and analyzing the topological characteristics of the network. Furthermore, the hind limb unloading (HLU) rats' model was conducted to investigate the potential effects of calycosin in the prevention of bone loss induced by microgravity. The results indicated that calycosin treatment group significantly increased the bone mineral density (BMD), ameliorated the microstructure of femoral trabecular bone, the thickness of cortical bone and the biomechanical properties of the bone in rats, compared that in the HLU group. The analysis of bone turnover markers in serum showed that both the bone formation markers and bone resorption markers decreased after calycosin treatment. Moreover, we found that bone remodeling-related cytokines in serum including IFN-γ, IL-6, IL-8, IL-12, IL-4, IL-10 and TNF-α were partly recovered after calycosin treatment compared with HLU group. In conclusion, calycosin partly recovered hind limb unloading-induced bone loss through the regulation of bone remodeling. These results provided the evidence that calycosin might play an important role in maintaining bone mass in HLU rats, indicating its promising application in the treatment of bone loss induced by microgravity. Small colony variants (SCVs) are a slow-growing subpopulation of bacteria characterized by their atypical colony morphology and distinct biochemical properties, which are known to cause chronic persistent infections. Here, we investigated the characteristics of three phenotypes of Escherichia coli, including a capnophilic SCV, co-isolated from a 64-year-old patient with bacteremia in China. The three strains were identified as a capnophilic strain (EC1), a capnophilic SCV (EC2), and a normal colony strain (EC3). The EC1 and EC2 strains did not grow in the absence of CO2, while the EC2 colonies were pinpoint in appearance and had the ability to revert to the normal colony phenotype. The growth of the SCV was slow and not enhanced in the presence of thymidine, hemin, thiamine, and menadione. The results of antimicrobial susceptibility among the three strains showed similar sensitivity to cefoxitin and imipenem, but resistant to most of the other antimicrobials tested. Whole-genome sequencing showed that no genetic mutational variations associated with SCVs were observed, while EC1, EC2 and the revertible strains of EC2 lacked the can gene. Multi-locus sequence typing showed that all strains belonged to ST457 and nucleotide similarity analysis indicated that they had high homology. In conclusion, we report rarely described co-isolated forms of three phenotypes of E. coli that included a capnophilic SCV in a patient with bacteremia. The capnophilic SCV strain had atypical morphology and biochemical characteristics in the absence of can gene. Compared to large companies, the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in China are more likely to fail in developing green supply chain management (GSCM). Capturing its failure factors could be useful for managers and policymakers to decide how green supply chains can be successfully designed and developed. Meanwhile, these factors can include complex interrelationships. Properly dealing with them can help identify the critical factors which can assist decision-makers to efficiently manage green supply chains. This study thus proposes a comprehensive framework to explore and understand failure factors of GSCM in China's SMEs to improve the opportunities of GSCM in China. The fuzzy synthetic evaluation (FSE) and decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) are combined and applied to identify critical failure factors through translating interrelationships in a hierarchical cause–effect model. The results indicate that collaboration and support are the most critical perspectives for GSCM, and these two perspectives also interrelated with each other and affect the perspectives of knowledge, technology and economy to varying degrees. Moreover, the critical failure factors include lack of top management support, poor guidance from authorities, difficulty in supplier selection and inadequate supplier commitment. The severity of fundus arteriosclerosis can be determined and divided into four grades according to fundus images. Automatically grading of the fundus arteriosclerosis is helpful in clinical practices, so this paper proposes a convolutional neural network (CNN) method based on hierarchical attention maps to solve the automatic grading problem. First, we use the retinal vessel segmentation model to separate the important vascular region and the non-vascular background region from the fundus image and obtain two attention maps. The two maps are regarded as inputs to construct a two-stream CNN (TSNet), to focus on feature information through mutual reference between the two regions. In addition, we use convex hull attention maps in the one-stream CNN (OSNet) to learn valuable areas where the retinal vessels are concentrated. Then, we design an integrated OTNet model which is composed of TSNet that learns image feature information and OSNet that learns discriminative areas. After obtaining the representation learning parts of the two networks, we can train the classification layer to achieve better results. Our proposed TSNet reaches the AUC value of 0.796 and the ACC value of 0.592 on the testing set, and the integrated model OTNet reaches the AUC value of 0.806 and the ACC value of 0.606, which are better than the results of other comparable models. As far as we know, this is the first attempt to use deep learning to classify the severity of atherosclerosis in fundus images. The total content of Al and Ti in advanced Ni-based wrought superalloys is up to 7.5wt.%, which makes it easier to form harmful nonequilibrium eutectic (γ+γ′) and η phase. It has been reported that the addition of certain amount of Zr can modify precipitation of the nonequilibrium phases obviously, but the mechanism is still controversial. The effect of Zr ranging from <0.0006wt.% to 0.150wt.% on solidification behavior, segregation and microstructure of a Ni-based superalloy with high Al and Ti contents was investigated, eliminating the interferences of C and B. Results show that increase in Zr content significantly promotes the formation of eutectic (γ+γ′), η and Zr-rich phase in the interdendritic region. Besides the Zr-rich phase, Zr dissolves slightly in the eutectic γ′ and obviously in the η phase. An interesting phenomenon is discovered that the Zr addition significantly increases the area fraction of liquid pools and enlarges the forming range of γ dendrites, which suggests that Zr markedly retards the solidification. Zr affects the eutectic (γ+γ′) and η formation mainly due to the retard of solidification and dissolution of Zr in them. The retard of solidification obviously increases the residual liquid fraction and undercooling. Zr can serve as a forming element for the eutectic (γ+γ′) and η phase, and the obvious dissolution of Zr in η phase significantly decreases the critical concentration of Ti for its precipitation. More and more studies have revealed a close relationship between gut microbial community and human health. However, the mechanism why changes in gut microflora structures affect shrimp health status remains unclear. In this study, we compared the differences of bacterial communities among intestine, water, and sediment collected from mariculture ponds of Penaeus japonicus in the early (30 days) and late (90 days) stage. Simultaneously, the relationship between bacterial communities and water quality indexes as well as shrimp physiological indexes was analyzed, respectively. The results showed that relative abundances of intestinal dominant phyla changed along with rearing times. And according to non-metric multidimensional scaling (NMDS), bacterial communities of shrimp gut had a closer relationship with the water library. By analyzing the relationship between water quality indexes and shrimp pond flora, it was shown that total nitrogen and ammonia nitrogen contents probably had the biggest impacts on bacterial communities of water, so did temperature and chemical oxygen demand on microbial communities of sediments and shrimp intestines. By analyzing the relationship between the dominant genus and physiological health indicators of shrimp, it was found that unidentified_Mitochondria, Photobacterium, and Acinetobacter were more closely associated with shrimp physiological health indicators such as total antioxidant capacity, superoxide dismutase activity, antibacterial activity, lysozyme activity, and agglutinating activity. Overall, these results suggested that intestinal microbiota of Penaeus japonicus has certain connections to ambient microflorae, environmental factors, and shrimp health status. China is facing the challenge of climate change and environmental protection in line with the promotion of sustainable development goals. Climate, environmental, and economic policy can each individually impact the effectiveness of other policies in the process of implementation. Understanding synergies among policy measures and identifying the co-benefits of environmental sustainable development generated by them is the focus of the paper. Because of existing restrictions in current research methods, the research community lacks the capacity to detect the interrelation among environmental, economic, and social development. Co-benefit research has gradually become an important area on sustainable development. Based on endogenous economic growth theory, we build a modified endogenous growth model to determine the optimal rates of economic growth, environmental pollution, energy input, and other factors in the context of co-benefits. Further empirical analysis is given which is missing in previous studies in this field. The empirical analysis reveals that China's actual GDP, consumption, energy input, and physical capital growth rates are much higher than the optimal growth rate. However, the human capital and environmental pollution control growth rates are slower than the optimal values. We study statistical inference of the inverted exponentiated Rayleigh distribution under progressively first-failure censoring samples in our paper. Specifically, we deal with Maximum likelihood and Bayes estimators of parameters. The observed Fisher matrix is conducive to obtain asymptotic confidence interval. Parametric bootstrap methods are applied to provide the confidence intervals. Bayes estimators in terms of squared error loss function are derived with Metropolis–Hastings technique, which are helpful to construct highest posterior density credible intervals. Purpose: To identify the most vulnerable network among typical and three variants of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and to link amyloid-β (Aβ) deposition and downstream network dysfunction.Procedures: In this study, 38 typical AD, 11 frontal variants, 8 logopenic variants, 6 posterior variants, and 20 normal controls were enrolled. 2-(4'-[11C] Methylaminophenyl)-6-hydroxybenzothiazole ([11C]PIB) and 2-deoxy-2-[18]fluoro-D-glucose ([18F]FDG) positron emission tomography (PET) imaging were performed. Voxel-wise statistical analysis was used for [18F]FDG analysis, whereas two-sample t test was performed between each AD group and control group. Moreover, the goodness of fit (GOF) of t-maps with brain functional network templates was assessed, and the most vulnerable network in each phenotypic of AD was chosen as volume of interests (VOIs). [11C]PIB binding potential (BPND) of VOIs were generated by using PMOD software. In addition, statistical analysis of BPND among four types of AD in each specific network was calculated by SPSS software.Results: The hypometabolism patterns indicated that in typical and frontal variants of AD, the most vulnerable network was the left executive control network (GOF score = 4.3, 5.0). For the logopenic variant, the highest GOF score (1.9) belonged to the auditory network. For the posterior variant, the higher visual network was the most vulnerable (GOF score = 6.0). The [11C]PIB BPND showed that there were no significant differences (p > 0.05) among AD groups within the specific networks.Conclusion: The phenotypic diversity of AD correlates with specific functional network failure; however, Aβ plaques do not associate with specific network vulnerability. Microorganisms play crucial roles in nutrient cycling, water quality maintenance, and farmed animal health. Increasing evidences have revealed a close association between unstable microbial environments and disease occurrences in aquaculture. Thereupon, we used high-throughput sequencing technology to comprehensively compare the bacterial communities of water, sediment, and intestine in mariculture ponds at the middle and late stages of Litopenaeus vannamei farming and analyzed whether changes of their microbiota assemblages were associated with environmental factors and shrimp physiological health. Results showed that bacterial community structures were significantly distinct among water, sediment, and intestine; meanwhile, the relative abundances of intestinal dominant taxa were significantly changed between different rearing stages. Compared with intestine and water, shrimp intestine and sediment had a similar profile of the dominant bacterial genera by cluster analysis, and the observed species, diversity indexes, and shared OTUs of bacterial communities in intestine and sediment were simultaneously increased after shrimp were farmed for 90 days. These results reflected a closer relationship between microbiotas in sediment and intestine, which was further proved by nonmetric multidimensional scaling analysis. However, bacterial communities in water, sediment, and intestine responded differently to environmental variables by redundancy and correlation analysis. More importantly, shrimp physiological parameters were closely associated with bacterial variations in the gut and/or ambient, especially the gut microbiota owning significantly high levels of predicted functional pathways involved in disease emergence. These findings may greatly add to our understanding of the microbiota characteristics of the shrimp pond ecosystem and the complex interactions among shrimp, ambient microflora, and environmental variables. Genotype-phenotype correlation of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) has been challenging because of the genetic and clinical heterogeneity. To determine the mutation profile of Chinese patients with HCM and to correlate genotypes with phenotypes, we performed a systematic mutation screening of the eight most commonly mutated genes encoding sarcomere proteins in 200 unrelated Chinese adult patients using direct DNA sequencing. A total of 98 mutations were identified in 102 mutation carriers. The frequency of mutations in MYH7, MYBPC3, TNNT2 and TNNI3 was 26.0, 18.0, 4.0 and 3.5 % respectively. Among the 200 genotyped HCM patients, 83 harbored a single mutation, and 19 (9.5 %) harbored multiple mutations. The number of mutations was positively correlated with the maximum wall thickness. We found that neither particular gene nor specific mutation was correlated to clinical phenotype. In summary, the frequency of multiple mutations was greater in Chinese HCM patients than in the Caucasian population. Based on the cheap sodium silicate and recently developed partitioned cooperative self-assembly (PCSA) process, this work demonstrated that the combination of the PCSA process with the hydrothermal treatment at elevated temperatures can produce the SBA-15s with large mesopores (>13 nm, KJS sizes), which noticeably larger than those prepared via the conventional method under the same synthetic conditions. Especially, the synthesis can be finished in a short period (24 h). A rapid, selective and convenient liquid chromatography–mass spectrometric method for the simultaneous determination of paracetamol and caffeine in human plasma was developed and validated. Analytes and theophylline [internal standard (I.S.)] were extracted from plasma samples with diethyl ether-dichloromethane (3:2, v/ v) and separated on a C18 column (150 × 4.6 mm ID, 5 μm particle size, 100 Å pore size). The mobile phase consisted of 0.2% formic acid–methanol (60:40, v/ v). The assay was linear in the concentration range between 0.05 and 25 μg mL−1 for paracetamol and 10–5,000 ng mL−1 for caffeine, with the lower limit of quantification of 0.05 μg mL−1 and 10 ng mL−1, respectively. The intra- and inter-day precision for both drugs was less than 8.1%, and the accuracy was within ±6.5%. The single chromatographic analysis of plasma samples was achieved within 4.5 min. A simple, rapid, and sensitive liquid chromatography–mass spectrometric (LC–MS) method was developed and validated for the determination of isoniazid in dog plasma. Plasma samples were deproteined with methanol and separated on a C18 column interfaced with a single quadrupole mass spectrometer, using 0.1% formic acid–acetonitrile (91:9 v/v) as mobile phase. Detection was performed by positive electrospray ionization with selected ion monitoring at m/ z 138 for isoniazid and 152 for entecavir maleate internal standard. Linearity was obtained over the range of 25–5,000 ng mL−1, with a lower limit of quantification of 25 ng mL−1. The intra- and inter-day precision was less than 2.7% in terms of relative standard deviation. Accuracy, expressed as relative error, ranged from −2.0 to 8.0%. : High salt diet (HSD) is implicated in numerous disorders, which boosts Th17 cell development and weakens immunosuppressive function of regulatory T cells (Treg cells) Treg cells, leading to the exacerbation of EAE. However, little is known regarding the harness of excessive proinflammatory responses evoked by HSD. Here we show that atRA, a key vitamin A metabolite with multifaceted immunoregulatory properties has the potential in inhibiting the proinflammatory reaction of high salt. Treatment with atRA in vivo elicited the Treg generation in cervical and axillary lymph nodes (CALs), and in CNS of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE). Meanwhile, the proportion of Th17-like Treg cells (RORγt-positive or GM-CSF-positive Treg cells) decreased in CALs. atRA also inhibited IL-17A expression in CD4+ effector T cells. In-vitro mechanistic studies showed that atRA inhibit IL-23R but not SGK1 expression in Treg cells and this results in maintained immunosuppressive function of Treg cells even in the presence of IL-6 and high salt. Furthermore, treatment of EAE with anti-IL-23R mAb attenuated HSD-provoked EAE progress. This was associated with a reduction in the number of CNS-infiltrating Th17 cells and an increase of CAL-Treg cells. Mechanically, treatment with atRA significantly promoted LP-CD103+CD11c+ dendritic cells, a subgroup of cells most closely involved in endogenous retinoic acid metabolism, and enhanced intestinal Aldh1a1 and Rdh10 expression from HSD-fed EAE mice. Interestingly, anti-IL-23R mAb administration also reduced IL-23R expression in Treg cells, along with the increased proportion of LP-CD103+CD11c+ dendritic cells and Rdh10 mRNA expression. In conclusion, administration of atRA might be a way to combat the proinflammatory effects of HSD. Meanwhile, systematic inhibition of IL-23R also had a moderate therapeutic potential in inhibiting inflammatory effects of high salt, which may serve as a basis for the identification of novel therapeutic strategies against HSD-driven autoimmune disorders. This work presents a laser absorption spectroscopy-based three-dimensional velocity measurement technique for non-uniform high-speed flow diagnosis. Compared with the extra particle-based velocimetry methods, the developed technique avoids the issues raised by adding solid particles, through utilizing the Doppler shifts of absorption lines induced by the interaction between multi-angled laser beams and the target molecules. Numerical verification is carried out by reconstructing the 3D velocity distribution in a simulated scramjet combustor. The results successfully demonstrate the feasibility of the implemented technique, in practical strong-noise environment and high-speed status (up to 1100 m/s), potentially enabling applications in harsh and extreme working conditions. The numerous natural products and their bioactivity potentially afford an extraordinary resource for new drug discovery and have been employed in cancer treatment. However, the underlying pharmacological mechanisms of most natural anticancer compounds remain elusive, which has become one of the major obstacles in developing novel effective anticancer agents. Here, to address these unmet needs, we developed an anticancer herbs database of systems pharmacology (CancerHSP), which records anticancer herbs related information through manual curation. Currently, CancerHSP contains 2439 anticancer herbal medicines with 3575 anticancer ingredients. For each ingredient, the molecular structure and nine key ADME parameters are provided. Moreover, we also provide the anticancer activities of these compounds based on 492 different cancer cell lines. Further, the protein targets of the compounds are predicted by state-of-art methods or collected from literatures. CancerHSP will help reveal the molecular mechanisms of natural anticancer products and accelerate anticancer drug development, especially facilitate future investigations on drug repositioning and drug discovery. The gut microbiota plays an important role in nutrient digestibility in animals. To examine changes in the pig gut microbiota across growth stages and its effects on nutrient digestion, the gut microbiota population in pigs at 28 days (before weaning), and 60, 90, and 150 days of age was assessed by 16S rDNA gene sequencing. The apparent digestibility of crude fiber (CF), neutral detergent fiber (NDF), acid detergent fiber (ADF), crude protein (CP) and ether extract (EE) was also assessed in these pigs. A total of 19,875 operational taxonomic units (OTUs) were identified from all samples. Both bacterial abundance and diversity increased with age. A total of 22 phyla and 249 genera were identified from all fecal samples; Firmicutes and Bacteroidetes were the most dominant phyla in all samples. With increasing age, the proportion of TM7 and Tenericutes increased, whereas the proportion of Lentisphaerae and Synergistetes decreased. The abundance of 36 genera varied with age, and the apparent digestibility of CF increased with age. Three phyla, Proteobacteria, Tenericutes and TM7, and 11 genera, including Anaeroplasma, Campylobacter, and Clostridium, were correlated with apparent CF digestibility. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
