Abstract

The article presents a study which investigates the genotoxic activity, mutagenic activity, and chemical analysis of airborne particulates in Pisa. Italy. The study used organic extractions in ultrasonic bath, a mutagenicity assay using the Salmonella typhimurium TA98 and TAI00 strains, and non-parametric analysis of variance (ANOVA). Results show that there was no significant correlation observed between the amount of particulate and mutagenicity.
