Background: Cervical cancer (CC) is one of the most common tumors in women, with a high mortality rate. YTHDC1 has been discovered to be involved in the progression of several cancers by acting as a tumor suppressor. However, the detailed regulatory role of YTHDC1 in CC remains unclear. Our study aimed to investigate the effects of YTHDC1 on CC progression. Objectives: To investigate the regulatory functions of YTHDC1 in CC. Results: First, through TCGA database, YTHDC1 expression was found to be down-regulated in CC. In addition, the expression of YTHDC1 was also decreased in CC tissues and cells. Moreover, our results showed that YTHDC1 repressed cell proliferation and facilitated cell apoptosis. Additionally, YTHDC1 inhibited angiogenesis and metastasis. Further investigations revealed that YTHDC1 accelerated SOCS4 m6A modification to enhance SOCS4 expression. Finally, we identified that the suppressive effects mediated by YTHDC1 on CC progression were reversed by silencing SOCS4. Conclusion: Our study for the first time showed that YTHDC1 inhibited cell proliferation and angiogenesis of cervical cancer by regulating m6A modification of SOCS4 mRNA. Summary: The well-known impact of ovarian endometriosis on female quality of life and the established role of lncRNA LINC01465 in ovarian cancer pathogenesis have been extensively documented; however, the relationship between LINC01465 and ovarian endometriosis is still not clear. This study seeks to explore the potential involvement of LINC01465 in the disease. The study analyzed a sample of 80 endometriosis patients and 80 healthy women. The expression of LINC01465 was measured in ectopic and eutopic endometrial tissues through RT-qPCR. The diagnostic potential of serum LINC01465 levels was evaluated using ROC curve analysis, and the patients were followed up for 3 years after treatment to monitor recurrence. The results revealed that the expression of LINC01465 was significantly lower in ectopic endometrial tissues in comparison to paired eutopic tissues for most of the patients. No correlation was found between the patient's age or lifestyle and serum LINC01465 levels. After treatment, the serum LINC01465 level increased, and patients who experienced recurrence had significantly lower levels compared to those who did not. In conclusion, the study findings suggest that the downregulation of LINC01465 plays a role in the pathogenesis of ovarian endometriosis and may serve as a diagnostic and prognostic biomarker for the disease. The image post-processing technology based on MATLAB was applied in oil-film interferometry to calculate the skin friction coefficient. This method can recognize the bright and dark fringes by the algorithm based on standard deviation, which is efficient and robust. Furthermore, it can process low-quality images and extract fringe spacing by converted grayscale image and the proper sliding window can catch the discrete objectives precisely by multiple selected windows. In addition, the calculation window size can adjust automatically, which improved the robustness of the algorithm greatly. By comparing the experimental results with the numerical results, it is proved that the method of post-processing based on MATLAB can accurately measure the skin friction in hypersonic flow.
