Nanofluid plays an important role in heat transfer engineering as a heat transfer medium. Therefore, we developed graphene oxide (GO)/carboxylated ferric tetroxide (Fe3O4–COOH) nanofluid with high stability using a two-step method. The preparation, characterization, physical properties and heat transfer properties of nanoparticles and nanofluids were investigated. The results show that GO/Fe3O4–COOH(GF) nanofluids present high stability at low concentrations (0.01 mass%, 0.05 mass% and 0.10 mass%) with absolute values of Zeta potential value greater than 30 mV. By adjusting the pH, it was found that GF nanofluids presented the best stability at pH = 10. A study of the physical properties of the nanofluids revealed that the viscosity of the GF nanofluids did not increase excessively with the addition of Fe3O4–COOH nanoparticles relative to the GO nanofluids. The heat transfer platform tests revealed that compared with the same concentration of GO nanofluids, the GF nanofluids have significantly higher heat dissipation efficiency. The temperature drop of 0.05 mass% GF nanofluid is higher than that of deionized water at the same pump power. We believe that well-stabilized GO nanofluids incorporating Fe3O4–COOH will provide more meaningful value in heat exchange than GO nanofluids. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Laparoscopic pancreatoduodenectomy (LPD) is one of the most challenging operations and has a long learning curve. Artificial intelligence (AI) automated surgical phase recognition in intraoperative videos has many potential applications in surgical education, helping shorten the learning curve, but no study has made this breakthrough in LPD. Herein, we aimed to build AI models to recognize the surgical phase in LPD and explore the performance characteristics of AI models. Methods: Among 69 LPD videos from a single surgical team, we used 42 in the building group to establish the models and used the remaining 27 videos in the analysis group to assess the models' performance characteristics. We annotated 13 surgical phases of LPD, including 4 key phases and 9 necessary phases. Two minimal invasive pancreatic surgeons annotated all the videos. We built two AI models for the key phase and necessary phase recognition, based on convolutional neural networks. The overall performance of the AI models was determined mainly by mean average precision (mAP). Results: Overall mAPs of the AI models in the test set of the building group were 89.7% and 84.7% for key phases and necessary phases, respectively. In the 27-video analysis group, overall mAPs were 86.8% and 71.2%, with maximum mAPs of 98.1% and 93.9%. We found commonalities between the error of model recognition and the differences of surgeon annotation, and the AI model exhibited bad performance in cases with anatomic variation or lesion involvement with adjacent organs. Conclusions: AI automated surgical phase recognition can be achieved in LPD, with outstanding performance in selective cases. Background: Immune checkpoint blockade with anti-programmed cell death 1 (PD-1) antibodies has demonstrated efficacy in multiple tumor types. Nofazinlimab is a humanized rat antibody targeting PD-1. A first-in-human study of nofazinlimab conducted in Australia found no dose-limiting toxicities (DLTs) and the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) was not reached in the range of 1–10 mg/kg. Objective: We evaluated nofazinlimab for multiple advanced malignancies in Chinese patients. Patients and methods: This was a phase 1a/1b, open-label, multicenter, dose-escalation/expansion trial. In phase 1a, patients received an abbreviated dose escalation of nofazinlimab at 60 mg and 200 mg every 3 weeks (Q3W) to determine DLTs and the recommended phase 2 dose (RP2D). In phase 1b, patients received the RP2D (monotherapy/combination) in six arms by tumor type; DLTs were evaluated for nofazinlimab plus lenvatinib in the unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (uHCC) arm. Safety (continuously monitored in patients who received nofazinlimab) and efficacy (patients with measurable baseline disease) were assessed. Results: Overall, 107 patients were eligible and received nofazinlimab. In phase 1a, no DLTs were observed; the RP2D was 200mg Q3W. In phase 1b, no DLTs were observed with nofazinlimab plus lenvatinib. The safety profile was consistent with that observed in the first-in-human study (NCT03475251). In phase 1b, 21/88 (23.9%) patients achieved confirmed objective responses, 26 (29.5%) had stable disease, and 9/20 (45.0%) patients with uHCC achieved confirmed objective responses to nofazinlimab plus lenvatinib. Conclusions: Nofazinlimab was well tolerated in Chinese patients. Preliminary efficacy was encouraging, particularly for nofazinlimab plus lenvatinib in uHCC, which is being studied in an ongoing phase 3 trial. Background: Toxoplasma gondii, a globally distributed zoonotic obligate intracellular parasite, infects a wide array of mammals, including humans, sheep, and birds. As a unique sheep breed in southwestern China, Yunnan semi-fine wool sheep occupies an important position in animal husbandry in Zhaotong due to its strong adaptability, high reproductive rate, and excellent wool quality. Lambs infected with T. gondii are prone to neurological symptoms and growth retardation, while T. gondii infection in ewes can cause abortions, stillbirths, and deformities, thus affecting sheep reproduction and sheep product quality. Meanwhile, mutton and dairy products contaminated with T. gondii can become potential sources of human infection, potentially threatening public health and safety. Method: To understand the T. gondii infection in semi-fine wool sheep in Zhaotong, Yunnan Province, 586 blood samples were collected and subjected to indirect hemagglutination assay (IHA) for T. gondii antibodies, and the infection-related factors were analyzed through cross-sectional analysis. In the meantime, nested PCR was conducted on a total of 217 samples collected from 31 rodents caught in and around the sheep breeding ground to test the T. gondii B1 gene in rodent tissues. Results: A total of 94 sera tested positive for T. gondii antibodies, with a total positive rate of 16.04% (94/586) (95% CI: 14.77–20.89). Cross-sectional statistical analysis on factors related to semi-fine wool sheep infection rate, including sampling season, sex, age, and weight, suggested that age (< 6 months: 23.81%; 6–12 months: 11.74%; > 12 months: 15.83%) was a significant factor explaining the infection rate differences (P = 0.003 < 0.05, χ2 = 11.62, df = 2). Thus, age was considered a key risk factor for T. gondii infection in this study (odds ratio, OR = 2.35, 95% CI: 1.42–3.87). Nested PCR analysis on 217 (heart, liver, spleen, lung, kidney, brain, and muscle) tissues from the 31 rodents indicated that 11 tested positive. The total infection rate of rodents in and around the breeding ground was 35.48% (11/31), and 14 samples tested positive, with a positive infection rate of 6.45% (14/217). Conclusion: The T. gondii infection rates of semi-fine wool sheep and rodents from their breeding environment in Zhaotong, Yunnan Province, were high, necessitating enhanced prevention, control, and treatment measures to ensure the healthy breeding of semi-fine wool sheep and veterinary public health and safety. The antitumor effects of conventional drug carriers are often attenuated and limited in application by biological barriers associated with tumor heterogeneity and resistance brought about by low tumor immunogenicity. With the rapid development of nanotechnology, naturally derived bioactive materials, and live cell carriers, a promising strategy emerges for targeting the tumor microenvironment (TME) for precision cancer therapy. The unique injury-targeting properties of platelets can significantly extend functional activity, which cannot be achieved with conventional nanocarriers. In this review, three strategies based on plateletengineered materials are systematically described, namely nanoparticles for platelet membrane camouflage, engineered activated platelets, and targeted-platelets nanosystems. Platelet-based nanomaterials can effectively coordinate local and distant tumor-host crosstalk with controlled active tumor site recognition and killing effects due to the presence of specific membrane proteins on the surface and the self-secretion of a large number of particles. Further advances in platelets for effectively overcoming biological barriers and reducing immune resistance in cancer immunotherapy applications will be discussed in future clinical practice. This review provides an overview of recent research advances in platelet-based bioactive material-directed immunotherapy and chemotherapy to inform future antitumor combination therapies. Purpose: Accumulating evidence suggests that neurotensin (NTS) and neurotensin receptors (NTSRs) play key roles in lung cancer progression by triggering multiple oncogenic signaling pathways. This study aims to develop Cu-labeled neurotensin receptor 1 (NTSR1)-targeting agents with the potential for both imaging and therapeutic applications. Method: A series of neurotensin receptor antagonists (NRAs) with variable propylamine (PA) linker length and different chelators were synthesized, including [64Cu]Cu-CB-TE2A-iPA-NRA ([64Cu]Cu-4a-c, i = 1, 2, 3), [64Cu]Cu-NOTA-2PA-NRA ([64Cu]Cu-4d), [64Cu]Cu-DOTA-2PA-NRA ([64Cu]Cu-4e, also known as [64Cu]Cu-3BP-227), and [64Cu]Cu-DOTA-VS-2PA-NRA ([64Cu]Cu-4f). The series of small animal PET/CT were conducted in H1299 lung cancer model. The expression profile of NTSR1 was also confirmed by IHC using patient tissue samples. Results: For most of the compounds studied, PET/CT showed prominent tumor uptake and high tumor-to-background contrast, but the tumor retention was strongly influenced by the chelators used. For previously reported 4e, [64Cu]Cu-labeled derivative showed initial high tumor uptake accompanied by rapid tumor washout at 24 h. The newly developed [64Cu]Cu-4d and [64Cu]Cu-4f demonstrated good tumor uptake and tumor-to-background contrast at early time points, but were less promising in tumor retention. In contrast, our lead compound [64Cu]Cu-4b demonstrated 9.57 ± 1.35, 9.44 ± 2.38 and 9.72 ± 4.89%ID/g tumor uptake at 4, 24, and 48 h p.i., respectively. Moderate liver uptake (11.97 ± 3.85, 9.80 ± 3.63, and 7.72 ± 4.68%ID/g at 4, 24, and 48 h p.i.) was observed with low uptake in most other organs. The PA linker was found to have a significant effect on drug distribution. Compared to [64Cu]Cu-4b, [64Cu]Cu-4a had a lower background, including a greatly reduced liver uptake, while the tumor uptake was only moderately reduced. Meanwhile, [64Cu]Cu-4c showed increased uptake in both the tumor and the liver. The clinical relevance of NTSR1 was also demonstrated by the elevated tumor expression in patient tissue samples. Conclusions: Through the side-by-side comparison, [64Cu]Cu-4b was identified as the lead agent for further evaluation based on its high and sustained tumor uptake and moderate liver uptake. It can not only be used to efficiently detect NTSR1 expression in lung cancer (for diagnosis, patient screening, and treatment monitoring), but also has the great potential to treat NTSR-positive lesions once chelating to the beta emitter 67Cu. All-perovskite tandem solar cells have shown great promise in breaking the Shockley–Queisser limit of single-junction solar cells. However, the efficiency improvement of all-perovskite tandem solar cells is largely hindered by the surface defects induced non-radiative recombination loss in Sn–Pb mixed narrow bandgap perovskite films. Here, we report a surface reconstruction strategy utilizing a surface polishing agent, 1,4-butanediamine, together with a surface passivator, ethylenediammonium diiodide, to eliminate Sn-related defects and passivate organic cation and halide vacancy defects on the surface of Sn–Pb mixed perovskite films. Our strategy not only delivers high-quality Sn–Pb mixed perovskite films with a close-to-ideal stoichiometric ratio surface but also minimizes the non-radiative energy loss at the perovskite/electron transport layer interface. As a result, our Sn–Pb mixed perovskite solar cells with bandgaps of 1.32 and 1.25 eV realize power conversion efficiencies of 22.65% and 23.32%, respectively. Additionally, we further obtain a certified power conversion efficiency of 28.49% of two-junction all-perovskite tandem solar cells. The efficiency of all-perovskite tandem solar cells is impacted by the nonradiative recombination loss in Sn–Pb mixed narrow bandgap perovskite films. To explore the advantages and disadvantages of 3D Slicer reconstruction and 3D printing localization combined with transcranial neuroendoscope in the surgical treatment of deep cerebral micro cavernous hemangiomas. Method The clinical data of patients with deep cerebral micro cavernous hemangiomas treated by our hospital from June 2022 to February 2023 using 3D Slicer reconstruction and 3D printing localization technology combined with transcranial endoscopic surgery were retrospectively analyzed. A total of 5 cases with complete data were collected, including 2 males and 3 females, aged 9–59 years. All 5 patients had deep supratentorial cavernous hemangiomas with a diameter of less than 1.5 cm, and had clinical symptoms such as headache or epilepsy, and had been diagnosed by CT or MRI. Repeated bleeding from small cavernous hemangiomas in the deep brain can lead to clinical symptoms such as recurrent headache and epilepsy, and is required surgical treatment. However, cavernous hemangiomas often have smaller lesions and are difficult to locate in the deep part. Without neuronavigation, surgery can become extremely difficult. Our team's newly developed 3D Slicer reconstruction and 3D printing localization technology which could provide new options for surgical treatment of small cavernous hemangiomas or other small lesions in the deep brain, but its accuracy and safety still need to be verified by further clinical research. Coagulation disorders are common in Kawasaki disease (KD). The main objectives of the present study were to probe the associations of coagulation profiles with clinical classification, IVIG responsiveness, coronary artery abnormalities (CAAs) in the acute episode of KD. A total of 313 KD children were recruited and divided into six subgroups, including complete KD (n = 217), incomplete KD (n = 96), IVIG-responsive KD (n = 293), IVIG-nonresponsive KD (n = 20), coronary artery noninvolvement KD (n = 284) and coronary artery involvement KD (n = 29). Blood samples were collected within 24-h pre-IVIG therapy and 48-h post-IVIG therapy. Coagulation profiles, conventional inflammatory mediators and blood cell counts were detected. Echocardiography was performed during the period from 2- to 14-day post-IVIG infusion. In addition, 315 sex- and age-matched healthy children were enrolled as the controls. (1) Before IVIG therapy, coagulation disorders were more prone to appear in KD patients than in healthy controls, and could be overcome by IVIG therapy. FIB and DD significantly increased in the acute phase of KD, whereas reduced to normal levels after IVIG therapy. (2) PT and APTT were significantly longer in patients with complete KD when compared with their incomplete counterparts after IVIG therapy. (3) The larger δDD, δFDP and the smaller δPT, δINR predicted IVIG nonresponsiveness. (4) The higher δDD and δFDP correlated with a higher risk for CAAs (DD: r = −0.72, FDP: r = −0.54). Coagulation disorders are correlated with complete phenotype, IVIG nonresponsiveness and CAA occurrence in the acute episode of KD, and can be rectified by synergistic effects of IVIG and aspirin. A month-long numerical simulation investigates summertime sea breezes in the North China Plain (NCP), occurring predominantly from late afternoon to night-time and penetrating over 100 km inland. The key factor driving this phenomenon is identified as a persistent lee-side cyclone in the western NCP, formed by dynamic interactions between upper-air north-westerly winds and mountain barriers upstream. Throughout a summer month, the lee-side cyclone varies in strength diurnally, significantly influencing sea breeze development. A case study of high-resolution simulation provides detailed insights into the wind field and the evolving lee-side cyclone structure. In the evening peak, three sectors of air flows—westerly, southerly, and south-easterly—encompass the cyclone core, demarcated by fronts with sharp gradients in temperature, moisture, and wind speed and direction. As the south-easterly sea breeze intensifies, it swiftly advances inland along the mountainside, forming an arch-like intrusion path. With the weakening and south-westward movement of the lee-side cyclone, the sea breeze transforms into an inertial current, guided further south-westward. The vertical structure of the sea breeze is revealed, including the depth of its moisture-layer and its uplifting effect on the warmer inland air mass at the cyclone core. The interaction between the lee-side cyclone and sea breeze facilitates the transport of substantial water vapor from the Bohai Sea coastline to the interior of the NCP. These findings provide new insights into the summertime sea breeze mechanism in the NCP, with implications for local weather patterns, water vapor budget, and air pollutant transport. Background: As a vital soil-borne pathogenic bacterium, Ralstonia solanacearum can cause wilt disease in multiple Solanaceae plants. Several phages, such as ϕPB2, could infect R. solanacearum acting as a potential biological control agent in soil. In addition, some nanoparticles, especially copper preparation, also showed high toxicity on R. solanacearum with low toxicity on plant. However, whether they can be administered in combination and how effective they are in inhibiting the plant disease caused by R. solanacearum is known very little. Results: In this work, the characterization of CuONPs using scanning electron microscope, transmission electron microscope, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction ascertained the presence of CuONPs which were nanometer particle of 83 nm. Then it was found that combined application of CuONPs with phage (ϕPB2) was superior to that of ϕPB2 or CuONPs alone in controlling tobacco bacterial wilt, with the CuONPs (250 mg/mL) and phage (106 PFU/mL) ratio being the best, at 79.1%. The combination of CuONPs and ϕPB2 also showed no obvious toxicity on tobacco growth than control like single application of CuONPs or ϕPB2. Furthermore, the transcriptome changes of R. solanacearum analysis indicated that the combination application and single allocation of CuONPs could inhibit "biofilm formation", molecular function, biological processes, cellular components, metabolic process, and so on. In addition, the combination application showed higher inhibition of motility and biofilm, and better enhancement of cell membrane permeability, protein leakage, MDA concentration, and enzyme activity of their respiratory chain dehydrogenase than single application of CuONPs or phage (ϕPB2). Transcriptomes analysis also supported that the addition of ϕPB2 enhanced the toxicity of CuONPs by influencing the ABC transporters and quorum sensing, metabolic processes, and cellular biosynthetic processes of R. solanacearum. Conclusion: In total, our work not only proposed a novel way to increase the bactericidal effect of nanomaterials by adding phage, but also discovered the influence, synergistic effects, and mechanisms, which is useful to design novel way to combat phytopathogenic bacteria in the complicated environment. Robust matching, especially the number, precision and distribution of feature point matching, directly affects the effect of 3D reconstruction. However, the existing methods rarely consider these three aspects comprehensively to improve the quality of feature matching, which in turn affects the effect of 3D reconstruction. Therefore, to effectively improve the quality of 3D reconstruction, we propose a circle-based enhanced motion consistency and guided diffusion feature matching algorithm for 3D reconstruction named EMC+GD_C. Firstly, a circle-based neighborhood division method is proposed, which increases the number of initial matching points. Secondly, to improve the precision of feature point matching, on the one hand, we put forward the idea of enhancing motion consistency, reducing the mismatch of high similarity feature points by enhancing the judgment conditions of true and false matching points; on the other hand, we combine the RANSAC optimization method to filter out the outliers and further improve the precision of feature point matching. Finally, a novel guided diffusion idea combining guided matching and motion consistency is proposed, which expands the distribution range of feature point matching and improves the stability of 3D models. Experiments on 8 sets of 908 pairs of images in the public 3D reconstruction datasets demonstrate that our method can achieve better matching performance and show stronger stability in 3D reconstruction. Specifically, EMC+GD_C achieves an average improvement of 24.07% compared to SIFT-based ratio test, 9.18% to GMS and 1.94% to EMC+GD_G in feature matching precision. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aluminum is a widely distributed element and plays an indispensable role in our lives, but excessive intake of Al3+ can cause potential harm to human health. Highly selective methods for the rapid detection of Al3+ are urgently needed. Here, a novel "turn on" fluorescent probe L based on Schiff-base of 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde and 8-aminoquinoline was obtained in an excellent yield. Probe L presents significant properties such as rapid response, good stability, wide pH range, simple synthetic operation, and provides an efficient strategy for the highly selective detection of Al3+ in an aqueous solution of DMSO/H2O (7:3, v:v). According to Job's curve and fluorescence titration, probe L with Al3+ forms a 2:1 ratio of complex, and the lowest limit of detection is 3.23 × 10−8 mol/L. The possible combination mode for probe L with Al3+ was proposed by comparison with the changes of 1H NMR and FTIR spectra of L and its complex. In addition, the potent applicants for probe L were also investigated, and indicated that it could conveniently be made into a series of sensor strips and applied to rapidly detect trace Al3+ in traditional Chinese medicine. Background: Accurate preoperative prediction of lymph node (LN) involvement is essential for the management of early gastric cancer (EGC). Our objective was to formulate a potent nomogram for predicting LN involvement in EGC by leveraging an innovative predictor of tumor budding. Methods: We assembled a cohort of EGC patients who underwent radical surgery at two tertiary cancer centers. Tumor budding was stratified by using an optimal cutoff value and integrated with other clinicopathological variables to ascertain the risk factors associated with LN involvement. A nomogram was developed and its predictive performance was assessed by using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves and calibration plots. In addition, we conducted decision curve analysis to evaluate its clinical utility. Finally, an external validation was conducted by using an independent cohort. Results: Finally, 307 eligible patients (215 in the primary cohort and 92 in the validation cohort) were included. Tumor budding, categorized by a count of two, exhibited a robust association with LN involvement (OR 14.12, p = 0.012). Other significant risk factors include lymphovascular invasion, depth of tumor invasion, ulceration, and tumor differentiation. Notably, the nomogram demonstrated exceptional discriminative power (area under the ROC curve, 0.872 in the primary cohort and 0.885 in the validation cohort) and precise predictive capabilities. Furthermore, the nomogram showed notable clinical applicability through decision curve analysis, particularly in endoscopic curability C-2, by mitigating the risk of overtreatment. Conclusions: Tumor budding is a robust predictor of LN involvement in EGC. Nonmutational epigenetic reprogramming is a crucial mechanism contributing to the pronounced heterogeneity of prostate cancer (PCa). Among these mechanisms, N6-methyladenosine (m6A)-modified long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have emerged as key players. However, the precise roles of m6A-modified lncRNAs in PCa remain to be elucidated. In this study, methylated RNA immunoprecipitation sequencing (MeRIP-seq) was conducted on primary and metastatic PCa samples, leading to the identification of 21 lncRNAs exhibiting differential methylation and expression patterns. We further established a PCa prognostic signature, named m6A-modified lncRNA score (mLs), based on 9 differential methylated lncRNAs in 4 multicenter cohorts. The high mLs score cohort exhibited a tendency for earlier biochemical recurrence (BCR) compared to the low mLs score cohort. Remarkably, the predictive performance of the mLs score surpassed that of five previously reported lncRNA-based signatures. Functional enrichment analysis underscored a negative correlation between the mLs score and lipid metabolism. Additionally, through MeRIP-qPCR, we pinpointed a hub gene, MIR210HG, which was validated through in vitro and in vivo experiments. These findings collectively illuminate the landscape of m6A-methylated lncRNAs in PCa tissue via MeRIP-seq and harness this information to prognosticate PCa outcomes using the mLs score. Rapid, high-precision pickup of microseismic P- and S-waves is an important basis for microseismic monitoring and early warning. However, it is difficult to provide fast and highly accurate pickup of micro-seismic P- and S-waves arrival-time. To address this, the study proposes a lightweight and high-precision micro-seismic P- and S-waves arrival times picking model, lightweight adversarial U-shaped network (LAU-Net), based on the framework of the generative adversarial network, and successfully deployed in low-power devices. The pickup network constructs a lightweight feature extraction layer (GHRA) that focuses on extracting pertinent feature information, reducing model complexity and computation, and speeding up pickup. We propose a new adversarial learning strategy called application-aware loss function. By introducing the distribution difference between the predicted results and the artificial labels during the training process, we improve the training stability and further improve the pickup accuracy while ensuring the pickup speed. Finally, 8986 and 473 sets of micro-seismic events are used as training and testing sets to train and test the LAU-Net model, and compared with the STA/LTA algorithm, CNNDET+CGANet algorithm, and UNet++ algorithm, the speed of each pickup is faster than that of the other algorithms by 11.59ms, 15.19ms, and 7.79ms, respectively. The accuracy of the P-wave pickup is improved by 0.221, 0.01, and 0.029, respectively, and the S-wave pickup accuracy is improved by 0.233, 0.135, and 0.102, respectively. A significant challenge in applying nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) in examining the wood-water system is accurately and effectively conditioning wood samples before such tests. The common approaches, such as the saturated salt solution method, have drawbacks of long equilibrium time and significant moisture content deviations. The water-addition-equilibrium method proposed here is an alternative conditioning approach that adds liquid water directly to oven-dried samples following sealing and equilibrating at 45 ℃ for 72 h until obtaining the even water distribution in samples. The equilibrium time in the latter method was determined by analyzing evolutions of the spin-spin relaxation time () spectra with five equilibrium time durations, i.e., 0, 24, 48, 72 and 96 h. Compared with the salt solution method, it is much easier and faster to achieve target moisture content using the water-addition method. When the actual target moisture of the samples is similar, no apparent differences are observed between the spectra obtained using the two methods. For this study, the water-addition method was applied to poplar samples with the moisture content target of 32% and below. The proposed method may be applied to other wood species and is expected to contribute to NMR examinations where the accurate and continuous control of sample moisture is required. Multichannel meta-imaging, inspired by the parallel-processing capability of neuromorphic computing, offers considerable advancements in resolution enhancement and edge discrimination in imaging systems, extending even into the mid- to far-infrared spectrum. Currently typical multichannel infrared imaging systems consist of separating optical gratings or merging multi-cameras, which require complex circuit design and heavy power consumption, hindering the implementation of advanced human-eye-like imagers. Here, we present printable graphene plasmonic photodetector arrays driven by a ferroelectric superdomain for multichannel meta-infrared imaging with enhanced edge discrimination. The fabricated photodetectors exhibited multiple spectral responses with zero-bias operation by directly rescaling the ferroelectric superdomain instead of reconstructing the separated gratings. We also demonstrated enhanced and faster shape classification (98.1%) and edge detection (98.2%) using our multichannel infrared images compared with single-channel detectors. Our proof-of-concept photodetector arrays simplify multichannel infrared imaging systems and offer potential solutions in efficient edge detection in human-brain-type machine vision. Doping can greatly reduce the lattice thermal conductivity of thermoelectric materials, which is considered as one of the effective ways to improve the thermoelectric properties of thermoelectric materials. First of all, we use the simple and environmentally friendly solution thermal method combined with the tube furnace sintering technology to explore the optimal temperature of sintering Cu2S in the tube furnace. When the sintering temperature reaches 700 °C, we get the thermoelectric value of 0.21. Subsequently, Cu2S thermoelectric materials doped with xmol%Sn (x = 0.5, 1, 3, 5) were prepared and the optimal concentration of Sn was explored. The Sn atom replaces the Cu atom with a smaller radius, greatly reducing the thermal conductivity of the matrix material. In the sample doped with 1%Sn, the total thermal conductivity reaches 0.31 WK−1 m−1, which is 22.5% lower than that of the pure phase sample. In addition, above 623 K, the conductivity of samples doped with 1%Sn is better than that of intrinsic samples, indicating that Sn doping can optimize the conductivity of Cu2S to a certain extent. At 773 K, the ZT of Cu2S + 1 mol%Sn can reach 0.51. 132% higher than undoped Cu2S.This provides a new idea for the preparation and commercial application of Cu–S based thermoelectric materials. Satellite navigation positioning has become an indispensable component of everyday life, where precise pinpointing and rapid convergence are crucial in delivering timely and accurate location information. However, due to the damping of integer ambiguities and system residual errors, the rapid convergence of Precise Point Positioning (PPP) implementation is a significant challenge. To address this, this paper proposes a novel Carrier Phase Zero-Baseline Self-Differencing Precise Point Positioning (CZS-PPP) technique and its ionosphere-free fusion model. By employing the proposed CZS-PPP approach in separate scenarios involving BDS-3, GPS, and dual-system settings, we systematically validate the efficacy of the method. The experimental results indicate that the convergence time of the method is less than 4 min in a single-system scenario. Furthermore, in a dual-system scenario, the method can achieve rapid convergence in less than 3 min. The CZS-PPP technique presented demonstrates the elimination of integer ambiguities and the effective suppression of system residuals, in comparison to the conventional method. To investigate brain network centrality and connectivity alterations in different Parkinson's disease (PD) clinical subtypes using resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (RS-fMRI), and to explore the correlation between baseline connectivity changes and the clinical progression. Ninety-two PD patients were enrolled at baseline, alongside 38 age- and sex-matched healthy controls. Of these, 85 PD patients underwent longitudinal assessments with a mean of 2.75 ± 0.59 years. Two-step cluster analysis integrating comprehensive motor and non-motor manifestations was performed to define PD subtypes. Degree centrality (DC) and secondary seed-based functional connectivity (FC) were applied to identify brain network centrality and connectivity changes among groups. Regression analysis was used to explore the correlation between baseline connectivity changes and clinical progression. Cluster analysis identified two main PD subtypes: mild PD and moderate PD. Two different subtypes within the mild PD were further identified: mild motor-predominant PD and mild-diffuse PD. Accordingly, the disrupted DC and seed-based FC in the left inferior frontal orbital gyrus and left superior occipital gyrus were severe in moderate PD. The DC and seed-based FC alterations in the right gyrus rectus and right postcentral gyrus were more severe in mild-diffuse PD than in mild motor-predominant PD. Moreover, disrupted DC were associated with clinical manifestations at baseline in patients with PD and predicted motor aspects progression over time. Our study suggested that brain network centrality and connectivity changes were different among PD subtypes. Purpose: Limited data are available regarding the partner and localizer of BRCA2 (PALB2) in Chinese patients with early breast cancer. This study aimed to assess the spectrum and characteristics of germline PALB2 pathogenic variants in this population. Methods: Peripheral blood samples were collected from 1556 patients diagnosed with BRCA1/2-negative early-onset breast cancer. All coding regions and exon‒intron boundaries of the PALB2 genes were screened through next-generation sequencing. Results: The prevalence of PALB2 pathogenic variants was approximately 0.77% in the cohort. Eleven PALB2 pathogenic variants were identified in twelve participants, including five frameshift mutations and six nonsense mutations. All other variants were detected once, except for PALB2 c.1056_1057del (detected twice). Two PALB2 carriers (2/12, 16.7%) have documented family history of breast cancer and/or ovarian cancer. Patients with a positive family history exhibited a threefold higher possibility of being identified as PALB2 carriers than those without a family history (2% vs. 0.69%), although the difference was not statistically significant (p = 0.178). Compared to non-carriers, PALB2 carriers has a tendency to appear in younger age (≤ 30 years) (25% vs 14.4%), human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER2)-negative status (83.3% vs. 70.2%), and diagnosed with invasive micropapillary carcinoma (16.7% vs 3.1%). Conclusion: The prevalence of the germline PALB2 pathogenic variants was approximately 0.77% in Chinese patients with BRCA1/2-negative early-onset breast cancer. Different efficacy of epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors (EGFR-TKI) has been observed between lung cancer patients with 19 exon deletion (19Del) and with L858R mutation. We investigate the multi-omics information from the TCGA Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) dataset and validate it using the GEO (GSE190139, GSE147377) and MSK datasets. Somatic loss-of-function alteration of RBM10 and altered Immune infiltration profile correlated with L858R decreased survival. Accessing disease-related signals in advance is beneficial to prevent the occurrence or progression of those diseases. However, the inconvenience of periodical in-hospital examinations and the difficulty of sustaining daily health monitoring challenge personal compliance and possibly lead to limited prevention or treatment. Medical flexible electronics are electric devices fabricated on soft and extensible substrates to fit the human skin and enable non-invasive continuous monitoring of biophysical/biochemical signals. They provide the possibility of long-term, continuous, comfortable, and wireless healthcare monitoring and are expected to alleviate time and economic consumption by avoiding in-hospital examinations and treatment. Therefore, flexible electronics have emerged for early diagnosis and disease monitoring in stomatology. It is noteworthy that special biophysical/biochemical characteristics and the environment of dental, oral, and craniofacial areas bring distinct challenges that flexible electronics need to address ingeniously to ensure their stability, selectivity, and sensitivity. This review summaries flexible electronics and their specificity when used in dental, oral, and craniofacial applications, including monitoring saliva or cavity-gas related biosignals, sensing the mechanical fluctuation from facial muscle/respiratory activities or orthodontic forces, and executing special functions in the prevention or postoperative recovery of relevant diseases. In this article, density functional theory (DFT) was applied to research the structures of γ-Fe2O3 and MFe2O4 (M=Co, Cu, Zn) and to optimize the adsorption models of gases such as CO and NO onto the catalysts. Additionally, the study analyzed the CO oxidation reaction on MFe2O4 (M=Co, Cu, Zn) and the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) reaction of CO + NO in CuFe2O4 and ZnFe2O4. Results showed that CO can effectively adsorb on the reactive substrates, reacting with lattice oxygen to produce CO2 and oxygen vacancies during the CO oxidation process. γ-Fe2O3 (001) required an energy of 0.95 eV to complete the reaction, while CuFe2O4 (100) needed only 0.33 eV, offering better selectivity. In the reaction of CO + NO on CuFe2O4 and ZnFe2O4, NO adsorbed on the surface with double oxygen vacancy to form N2O2 intermediate, then reacted to produce N2 and fill the oxygen vacancy. CuFe2O4 and ZnFe2O4 required energy barriers of 0.68 eV and 0.73 eV, respectively, demonstrating the feasibility of the CO-SCR reaction on the catalyst surface. Further exploration of the reaction in an oxygen-enriched environment found that O2 can inhibit the CO-SCR reaction. The study reveals that MFe2O4 (M=Co, Cu, Zn) catalysts can improve the catalytic activity of the CO oxidation reaction and CO-SCR reaction, with CuFe2O4 exhibiting the best selectivity and catalytic activity. Malignant mesothelioma, a rare and aggressive cancer primarily caused by occupational asbestos exposure, has a poor prognosis. This study leverages the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) 2019 dataset to analyze the burden of mesothelioma linked to occupational asbestos exposure from 1990 to 2019. The analysis includes the number of mesothelioma deaths and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) attributable to occupational asbestos exposure, focusing on trends in age-standardized mortality rate (ASMR) and age-standardized disability-adjusted life-year rate (ASDR) by year, age, sex, country, region, and Socio-demographic Index (SDI). In 2019, 91.7% of mesothelioma deaths and 85.2% of DALYs were attributable to occupational asbestos exposure, resulting in 26,820 (95% UI 24,312–28,622) deaths and 569,429 (95% UI 509,956–617,484) DALYs. Despite a decline in ASMR and ASDR from 1990 to 2019, the absolute number of deaths and DALYs almost doubled. The United States reported the highest number of mesothelioma deaths, while China had the highest number of DALYs. Age-specific mortality rates and DALYs decreased in the 25–74 age group but increased in the 75+ age group. In conclusion, occupational asbestos exposure remains the primary cause of mesothelioma worldwide, with an increasing number of deaths and DALYs. The highest incidence rates are observed in high-income areas, and rates are rising in low-income areas. Here, we combined transcriptome and small RNAome to reveal the rapid response and long-term adaptability regulation strategies in Rhododendron moulmainense under high-temperature stress. The post-transcriptional gene regulatory pathway plays important roles in stress response, in which the protein folding pathway is rapidly induced at 4 h after heat stress, and alternative splicing plays an important role in regulating gene expression at 7 days after heat stress. The chloroplasts oxidative damage is the main factor inhibiting photosynthesis efficiency. Through WGCNA analysis, we identified gene association patterns and potential key regulatory genes responsible for maintaining the ROS steady-state under heat stress. Finally, we found that the sRNA synthesis pathway is induced under heat stress. Combined with small RNAome, we found that more miRNAs are significantly changed under long-term heat stress. Furthermore, MYBs might play a central role in target gene interaction network of differentially expressed miRNAs in R. moulmainense under heat stress. MYBs are closely related to ABA, consistently, ABA synthesis and signaling pathways are significantly inhibited, and the change in stomatal aperture is not obvious under heat stress. The silica nanocapsules were functionalized with poly(methacrylic acid)-block-poly(2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid) (PMAA-b-PAMPS) and assembled with chitosan (CHI) by layer-by-layer deposition and cross-linking to develop lithium electrolyte nanocomposites in the presence of concentrated alkaline solutions. The inorganic/organic nanocapsules and the assembled CHI chains endowed the multilayer films with well-defined structure, great temperature tolerance, and comparable mechanical properties. The films possessed a high loading capacity of alkaline electrolytes. The entrapment of a concentrated alkaline solution in the film matrix led to high ionic conductivity (~ 0.73 mS cm−1 at 25 °C) and outstanding temperature-tolerated capacity. The films maintained a constant ionic conductivity and physical strength against mechanical deformations. For the first time, the impact of molecular weight of block copolymers on electrochemical properties of electrolyte-loaded multilayer films was investigated. The lithium-ion batteries built by flexible alkaline electrolytes of nanocapsule-based multilayer films demonstrated excellent ionic conductivity and electrochemical sustainability, possessing discharge capacity of 163.5 mA h g−1 and retaining 97.53% of the original capacity after 120 cycles. This work demonstrates the first proof-of-concept platform of polymer/nanocapsule composite-incorporated multilayer films with well-defined internal structure and high loading capacity for energy storage. The multilayer films could be adopted as the reliable electrolyte in lithium-ion batteries and introduce enhanced cycling ability and high rate charge–discharge performance. We describe the structure, surface morphology, and electrochemical properties of multilayer films of block copolymer-functionalized silica nanocapsules and chitosan biopolymers via layer-by-layer deposition and cross-linking. The structure and property of the films could be manipulated by controlling the chain length of the block copolymers. Freshwater lakes play a vital role in global hydrological and biogeochemical cycles, serving various functions and maintaining ecological balance. However, freshwater resources are more vulnerable to deterioration due to multiple stressors. Gaoyou Lake is one of the impounded lakes of the Eastern route of South-to-North Water Diversion Project in China, and as an important source of drinking water, the lake has been routinely monitored. Long-term monitoring of water quality in Gaoyou Lake showed that concentrations of nutrients and chlorophyll a as well as trophic state in the water column increased while water transparency decreased, indicating that the water quality has declined during the last 12 years. Specifically, there was a notable and statistically significant increase in chlorophyll a concentrations, averaging an annual rate of 9.9%. Despite a slight decline in trophic level index until 2014, subsequent years saw an upward trend, ranging from 50.7 to 56.4 and indicating a light eutrophic state. Spatially, the western area displayed higher nutrient and chlorophyll a concentrations. Changes in hydro-meteorological variables and nutrients from inflowing rivers were the main factors correlated with water quality in Gaoyou Lake. Thus, pollution source apportionment and management within Huaihe River basin should be considered to reduce the external loadings of nutrients in order to improve and sustain long-term water quality. Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is not sensitive to most chemotherapy drugs, leading to poor chemotherapy efficacy. Recently, Trametinib and Palbociclib have promising prospects in the treatment of pancreatic cancer. This article aims to explore the effects of Trametinib on pancreatic cancer and address the underlying mechanism of resistance as well as its reversal strategies. The GDSC (Genomics of Drug Sensitivity in Cancer) and CTD2 (Cancer Target Discovery and Development) were utilized to screen the potential drug candidate in PDAC cell lines. The dose-increase method combined with the high-dose shock method was applied to induce the Trametinib-resistant PANC-1 and MIA PaCa-2 cell lines. The CCK8 proliferation assay, colony formation assay, flow cytometry, and western blot were conducted to verify the inhibitory effect of Trametinib and Palbociclib. RNA-seq was performed in resistant PDAC cell lines to find the differential expression genes related to drug resistance and predict pathways leading to the reversal of Trametinib resistance. The GDSC and CTD2 database screening revealed that Trametinib demonstrates a significant inhibitory effect on PDAC. We found that Trametinib has a lower IC50 than Gemcitabine in PDAC cell lines. Both Trametinib and Gemcitabine can decrease the proliferation capacity of pancreatic cells, induce cell cycle arrest, and increase apoptosis. Simultaneously, the phosphorylation of the AKT and ERK pathways were inhibited by the treatment of Trametinib. In addition, the RNA-seq of Trametinib-induced resistance PDAC cell lines reveals that the cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK)-RB-E2F regulatory axis and G2/M DNA damage checkpoint might lead the drug resistance. Besides, the combination of Trametinib with Palbociclib could inhibit the proliferation and cell cycle of both resistant cells lines and also restore the sensitivity of drug-resistant cells to Trametinib. Last but not least, the interferon-α and interferon-γ expression were upregulated in resistance cell lines, which might lead to the reversal of drug resistance. In recent years, the stroke incidence has been increasing year by year, and the related sequelae after stroke, such as cognitive impairment, motor dysfunction, and post-stroke depression, seriously affect the patient's rehabilitation and daily activities. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), as a safe, non-invasive, and effective new rehabilitation method, has been widely recognized in clinical practice. This article reviews the application and research progress of rTMS in treating different functional impairments (cognitive impairment, motor dysfunction, unilateral spatial neglect, depression) after stroke in recent years, and preliminary summarized the possible mechanisms. It has been found that the key parameters that determine the effectiveness of rTMS in improving post-stroke functional impairments include pulse number, stimulated brain areas, stimulation intensity and frequency, as well as duration. Generally, high-frequency stimulation is used to excite the ipsilateral cerebral cortex, while low-frequency stimulation is used to inhibit the contralateral cerebral cortex, thus achieving a balance of excitability between the two hemispheres. However, the specific mechanisms and the optimal stimulation mode for different functional impairments have not yet reached a consistent conclusion, and more research is needed to explore and clarify the best way to use rTMS. Furthermore, we will identify the issues and challenges in the current research, explore possible mechanisms to deepen understanding of rTMS, propose future research directions, and offer insightful insights for better clinical applications. Background: CD47, serving as an intrinsic immune checkpoint, has demonstrated efficacy as an anti-tumor target in hematologic malignancies. Nevertheless, the clinical relevance of CD47 in gastric cancer and its potential as a therapeutic target remains unclear. Methods: The expression of CD47 in clinical gastric cancer tissues was assessed using immunohistochemistry and Western blot. Patient-derived cells were obtained from gastric cancer tissues and co-cultured with macrophages derived from human peripheral blood mononuclear cells. Flow cytometry analyses were employed to evaluate the rate of phagocytosis. Humanized patient-derived xenografts (Hu-PDXs) models were established to assess the efficacy of anti-CD47 immunotherapy or the combination of anti-CD47 and anti-VEGF therapy in treating gastric cancer. The infiltrated immune cells in the xenograft were analyzed by immunohistochemistry. Results: In this study, we have substantiated the high expression of CD47 in gastric cancer tissues, establishing a strong association with unfavorable prognosis. Through the utilization of SIRPα-Fc to target CD47, we have effectively enhanced macrophage phagocytosis of PDCs in vitro and impeded the growth of Hu-PDXs. It is noteworthy that anti-CD47 immunotherapy has been observed to sustain tumor angiogenic vasculature, with a positive correlation between the expression of VEGF and CD47 in gastric cancer. Furthermore, the successful implementation of anti-angiogenic treatment has further augmented the anti-tumor efficacy of anti-CD47 therapy. In addition, the potent suppression of tumor growth, prevention of cancer recurrence after surgery, and significant prolongation of overall survival in Hu-PDX models can be achieved through the simultaneous targeting of CD47 and VEGF using the bispecific fusion protein SIRPα-VEGFR1 or by combining the two single-targeted agents. Conclusions: Our preclinical studies collectively offer substantiation that CD47 holds promise as a prospective target for gastric cancer, while also highlighting the potential of anti-angiogenic therapy to enhance tumor responsiveness to anti-CD47 immunotherapy. Currently, the diagnosis of DILI still follows the strategy of exclusion. Therefore, a detailed history taking and a thorough and careful exclusion of other potential causes of liver injury is the key to correct diagnosis. This guideline was developed based on evidence-based medicine provided by the latest research advances and aims to provide professional guidance to clinicians on how to identify suspected DILI timely and standardize the diagnosis and management in clinical practice. Background: There are numerous videos related to rhinoplasty on TikTok in China. The objective is to examine videos on Chinese TikTok regarding rhinoplasty surgery and evaluate the content quality of rhinoplasty-related videos on TikTok. Method: We collected 184 Chinese video samples related to rhinoplasty and extracted basic information. We used the PEMAT-A/V tool to evaluate each video. Results: A total of 184 videos were included in the study. The sampled videos received approximately 4.8 million likes, 900,000 comments, and 300,000 favorites. Most of the videos (n = 130, 70.65%) were posted by certified plastic surgeons on the TikTok platform. This study found that 6 (3.26%) videos contained obvious errors or misleading information. Regarding the PEMAT-A/V, the median total score was 85.71 (n = 184, IQR = 78.57–92.45%). Videos created by plastic surgeons had the highest comprehension score (n = 130, median = 100%, IQR = 91.67–100%), while videos from news media (n = 16, median = 75%, IQR = 70.76–77.34%) had the lowest usability and PEMAT-A/V total scores. In terms of video content, the PEMAT-A/V total score for surgical risks/contraindications related content (n = 15, median = 92.86%, IQR = 83.48–92.86%) was the highest, while scores for complaint-related content (n = 20, median = 75, IQR = 71.43–78.57%) were the lowest. Conclusions: This study is the first report in China to evaluate the quality of information in nose plastic surgery-related videos on TikTok. We found that the quality of videos created by plastic surgeons on the TikTok platform is generally high, while videos provided by news media have lower quality. We encourage healthcare professionals to share more high-quality information on TikTok and educate patients on how to properly handle misinformation. This study aimed to investigate the relationships between stress, sleep reactivity, dysfunctional beliefs about sleep and to estimate the distinct roles of occupational and family stress on sleep among military populations in China. A cross-sectional study was conducted with a sample of 389 members of the armed forces stationed on islands in China. The Likert scales, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), Ford Insomnia Response to Stress Test (FIRST) and Dysfunctional Beliefs and Attitudes about Sleep Scale (DBAS) were used to measure occupational and family stress, sleep quality, sleep reactivity, and dysfunctional beliefs about sleep, respectively. Mediation and moderation effects were tested using logistic regression. The indirect path between occupational stress and PSQI via FIRST scores was significant (a*b = 0.564, p < 0.001). Mediation accounted for 38.2% of the total effects. The indirect path between family stress and PSQI via FIRST scores was also significant (a*b = 0.295, p < 0.001). The mediating effects accounted for 100%. The mediation effects of sleep reactivity on the association between occupational or family stress and sleep quality became attenuated at one standard deviation (SD) above the mean and one SD below the mean of DBAS scores. Occupational stress can affect sleep quality both in direct and indirect paths, whereas family stress only affects sleep quality through the sleep reactivity system. Geographical factors may prevent individuals on islands from facing family stress directly. Background: Conchal cartilage is generally favored in rhinoplasty with a satisfied aesthetic outcome. However, patients may suffer from postoperative donor auricle deformities. Objectives: This study introduced a novel conchal cartilage harvesting technique which can minimize the deformity of auricle and harvest the sufficient amounts of grafts. Methods: This study proposed preservation of the concha cymba and cavum support structures to minimize the deformity of auricle and harvest of cartilage hidden in the craniofacial region to obtain the sufficient amounts. The medical records of 60 patients who underwent the novel conchal cartilage harvesting were reviewed retrospectively. Postoperative aesthetic outcomes were assessed by comparing pre- and postoperative photographs according to the deformation extent of auricular subunits (cymba concha, cavum concha, antihelix, helix crus and intertragal notch) on a four-point Likert scale. Additionally, function and complications were analyzed. Results: 56 patients performed unilateral conchal cartilage harvesting (8 with right-side and 48 with left-side) and 4 performed bilateral harvesting. The average aesthetic score, rated on a four-point Likert scale (1 = significant deformation, 2 = moderated deformation, 3 = slight deformation, 4 = complete no deformation), were 3.83 ± 0.03 points, respectively. The functional scores, rated on a four-point Likert scale (1 = significant damage, 2 = moderated damage, 3 = slight damage, 4 = complete no damage), was 3.94±0.03. Complications included hematoma, delayed wound healing and hypopigmentated scar in six ears (9.4%). Conclusions: This novel technique can minimize the deformity of auricle, as shown by the outcome scores, and allows for sufficient amount of grafting material acquired. Purpose: Advanced obstructive colorectal cancer (AOCC) presents surgical challenges. Consideration must be given to alleviating symptoms and also quality of life and survival time. This study compared prognostic efficacies of palliative self-expanding metal stents (SEMSs) and surgery to provide insights into AOCC treatment. Methods: PubMed, Web of Science, MEDLINE, and Cochrane Library were searched for studies that met inclusion criteria. Using a meta-analysis approach, postoperative complications, survival rates, and other prognostic indicators were compared between patients treated with SEMSs and those treated surgically. Network meta-analysis was performed to compare prognoses between SEMS, primary tumor resection (PTR), and stoma/bypass (S/B). Results: Twenty-one studies were selected (1754 patients). The odds ratio (OR) of SEMS for clinical success compared with surgery was 0.32 (95% confidence interval [CI] 0.15, 0.65). The ORs for early and late complications were 0.34 (95% CI 0.19, 0.59) and 2.30 (95% CI 1.22, 4.36), respectively. The ORs for 30-day mortality and stoma formation were 0.65 (95% CI 0.42, 1.01) and 0.11 (95% CI 0.05, 0.22), respectively. Standardized mean difference in hospital stay was − 2.08 (95% CI − 3.56, 0.59). The hazard ratio for overall survival was 1.24 (95% CI 1.08, 1.42). Network meta-analysis revealed that SEMS had the lowest incidence of early complications and rate of stoma formation and the shortest hospital stay. PTR ranked first in clinical success rate and had the lowest late-complication rate. The S/B group exhibited the lowest 30-day mortality rate. Conclusion: Among palliative treatments for AOCC, SEMSs had lower early complication, stoma formation, and 30-day mortality rates and shorter hospital stays. Surgery had higher clinical success and overall survival rates and lower incidence of late complications. Patient condition/preferences should be considered when selecting AOCC treatment. In routine Generalizability Theory (G-theory) research, the task of establishing or assessing cut-off scores for performance evaluation is consistently sought after yet simultaneously poses significant challenges. While many studies have presented diverse indices to evaluate potential cut-off scores, these indices are frequently limited by their design-specific nature, limiting adaptability across different assessment contexts. This paper reframes G-theory within the context of a Linear Mixed-Effects Model (LMM) and employs LMM-based bootstrapping techniques to generate Intervals of Predicted Total Scores (IPTS) for each individual to evaluate the suitability of potential cut-off score candidates in the assessment. We propose PredC, to quantify the proportion of individuals whose 95% IPTS encompass a given candidate value of interest, thereby gauging the appropriateness of different cut-off choices. A lower PredC is deemed preferable since it signifies that the corresponding cut-off score effectively discriminates between individuals, categorizing them into distinct groups (e.g., pass or fail). The study comprises two parts: Firstly, a Monte Carlo simulation study was carried out to compare the performance of three distinct techniques—parametric, semiparametric, and nonparametric bootstrapping—in constructing IPTS. The second part applied a genuine dataset to illustrate the practical implementation of our proposed methodology. The simulation findings revealed that the distribution of scores greatly influences the efficacy of IPTS, with semiparametric and nonparametric bootstraps being the preferred methods in situations involving ordinal data points, as was the case in the real-world dataset. When assessing cut-off scores, the PredC serves as a valuable complement to the existing suite of quantitative tools, thereby contributing to enhanced standard-setting practices. Carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) materials have gained significant attention in the machining industry due to their exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and vibration characteristics. In the poor rigidity machining tool system, such as plunge milling, deep drilling, and boring, the large overhanging shaft increases the requirement of chatter stability. In this study, a solution of carbon fiber reinforced shaft was proposed for the poor rigidity machining tool system. The vibration characteristic model was established by theoretical calculation, FE analysis, and modal testing. The relationship between fiber arrangement and vibration characteristics was precisely described, and the optimization scheme of fiber reinforcement was proposed considering both the theoretical analysis and procedure technique. The machining performance of the optimal HSS-CFRP shaft was compared with that of the traditional HSS shaft in the same tool system. The main aspects that significantly affect the machining performance were thoroughly evaluated, including tool weight, energy consumption, dynamic characteristics, and chatter stability. The effect of fiber reinforcement was fully discussed, which provided a reliable solution for the poor rigidity machining system and other potential applications with large overhanging shaft.
