Abstract

The article presents a study which investigated the antibiotic susceptibility pattern and serotype distribution of Streptococcus pneumoniae isolates from children younger than 10 years of age hospitalized with invasive pneumococal disease in Turkey from 2001 to 2004. It presents Streptococcus pneumoniae serotype distribution, clinical diagnosis and number of non-susceptible clinical isolates of children to some antibiotics.
