Abstract
Presents a case study about the access for people with disabilities to public buildings and facilities in Bloemfontein, South Africa. Multidirectional interconnections between individuals and their environment assumed by the ecological theory; Evaluation of the accessibility features such as availability of parking, ramps and lifts as well as accessible corridors and toilets; Description of the accessibility of recreation facilities and cultural venues in the city.
