This paper investigates issues on the formation and operation of a management control system of a commercial organization in the digital economy on the basis of integrated digital information. The essence of the modern management control system of a commercial organization is revealed. The stages of creating an integrated digital information space in the economy of a commercial organization are defined: statutory regulation, personnel and education, information infrastructure, information security. The directions of digital informatization of management control system are suggested, which include the digitalization of the following subsystems: planning and forecasting, management organization, control and accounting.

The text reveals the research directions of development problems of visual thinking and visual literacy of students in the process of mastering the information space through visual activity, conducted directly by the author of this article. An attempt was made to select the pedagogical conditions of the organization of the educational process and the basic competencies of students, allowing the teacher to find effective educational forms and directions of work adequate to the mental age characteristics of children in the process of mastering different types and directions of artistic and creative activity within the framework of polyart education. Their implementation in practice will allow students to get the necessary level of knowledge, ideas and skills, corresponding to the education of a competent and thinking viewer who can read and understand the graphic “text” and visual images created by artists, directors, screenwriters, etc. The author highlights the important components of visual literacy, depending on the age and interests of students; clarifies the concepts of “visual thinking” and “visual literacy” from the perspective of a variety of artistic activities in the learning process; the author defines and formulates competencies aimed at the formation of visual literacy through the development of the visual art alphabet in the context of integrated learning; identifies the pedagogical conditions for the introduction of the presented model into the training system; reveals the dynamics of the visual literacy development based on the development directions of students based on the mental characteristics of the children’s age.

The article discusses the construction of a model of information support for the process of the quality management system, and its integration into a single information space, which separates all stages of the product life cycle. Also, the article presents an algorithm for determining vector estimates that should be presented to the information and analytical center, in order to ensure the division of the set of alternatives into classes of solutions for a relatively small number of calls. The application of this algorithm will allow to effectively solve the problems of improving the QMS, by means of automatic classification of the decisions made in order to minimize the risk of not achieving the planned quality indicators at one or another level or stage of the product life cycle.

The development of network technologies and new media increases the information flow, improves the quality of socio-economic and spiritual and cultural processes. The mass media are becoming a catalyst for the cultural development of modern society, which forms the civilization of the 21st century. Currently, they won first place in the information impact on the individual and society. Mass media not only translate the existing system of values but also actively form a new cognitive information space in Kazakhstan. With the new media came another media culture that changes our consciousness, our tastes, opens up new media opportunities, and expands new horizons of the media sphere. The digital age has fundamentally changed the media environment. Changes in public consciousness were especially pronounced in the 21st century under the influence of information technology, the development of new media, the Internet, and social networks. The approval of new thinking as one of the conditions for solving global problems of modern society is associated with a reassessment of values, a change in existing spiritual guidelines and established social attitudes under the influence of digital technologies. Socio-technical imaginaries is the way in which different cultures and communities imagine their future in terms of symbolically charged scientific and technical achievements. This research articulates the socio-technical imaginary that grows up around digital technology in Kazakhstan. The 21st century has created a new information space, a new media sphere, where the formation and development of a new media culture of the century is taking place.

Formation of a modern information space leads to emergence of serious risks and new threats for information security of person, government, and society on the whole—which leads to increased responsibility of each member of the society and its protection. Thus, the issues of training of specialists in the sphere of information security become very important. The purpose of this paper is to substantiate a strategy of education in the sphere of information security in the conditions of the digital economy. The research results include determining the target groups of the educational system in the sphere of information security, justifying the system of support for interested parties, forming a model of education in the sphere of information security, organizing training in the sphere of information security, and creating a system of informing the society on the issues of information security. The research proves the conclusion that formation of a justified strategy of education in the sphere of information security could reduce the influence of risk of cyber security and stimulate the acceleration of economic development and increase of the level of comfortable interaction in the information infrastructure.

All anti-social phenomena that occur on a mass scale, especially such as extremism, terrorism, drug addiction/trafficking, etc. leave their traces in the information space. To counteract the intelligence agencies, mislead the population, recruit more and more adepts, and put pressure on the authorities, criminals use manipulative methods aimed at softening the edge of critical judgment, reducing criticality, and distorting public consciousness. The review of investigative and judicial practice shows, that traditionally there is a high percentage of programmers, political strategists, and psychologists with advanced knowledge of IT technologies in any illegal or semi-legitimate group of radicals (not to mention international scale terrorist structures). Many people (especially those disorganized, poorly educated, maladaptive, or easily suggestible) radically change their attitudes, life concepts, needs, and lose their positive social skills as a result of intensive informational and psychological brainwashing. In this article, the Author explores criminal informational and manipulative influences/impacts of an extremist orientation and analyzes the social and psychological qualities of criminals, who are the leaders of extremist groups and possess a pronounced manipulative potential. The author drew some conclusions, in particular, the fact that the manipulative effect of a criminal leader inside and outside a group depends both on the personal qualities of the leader himself, and the general social situation, the value orientations of the significant part of the population, the orientation of interests, and the results framework of addressees (recipients) living in a particular region.

The work analyzes three directions of improving the educational process in an open information environment: an evolutionary transition to a convergent model of education, continuous updating of educational programs and content, personalization of the trajectories of training specialists. An intelligent learning environment is a basis for a convergent education model, within which it is possible to implement a non-linear approach to the synthesis of personalized information space for learning, taking into account the requirements of the innovative and digital economy. The intelligent learning environment represents a hyper-convergent ecosystem with instrumental software and hardware that execute the tasks of collecting, processing, mining, and predictive analytics to update educational content, synchronize educational programs and resources, adaptively customize and personalize trajectories for training specialists, predictively assessing the quality of such training. The ecosystem components are designed to manage learning processes, life cycles of learning resources, and programs. The research results are the synthesis of management methods and the architecture of an intelligent learning environment with mechanisms for adaptive adjustment of the process of training specialists to be implemented and applied in the educational process of Penza State University of the Russian Federation. #CSOC1120.

The paper identifies the possibility of solving some social issues in rural areas due to accelerated informatization of agriculture, including remote medical care with the help of high-speed mobile networks, artificial intelligence, and technologies for storing and processing large amounts of information based on blockchain technologies. The authors developed an approximate model of integration of a common information space that accumulates data from regional and problem-oriented information systems in medicine. Within its framework, it is possible to solve the existing problems of compatibility of heterogeneous information solutions based on modern digital accounting technologies (blockchain) and optimally implement the basic principles of modern medical accounting systems (direct participation of stakeholders in the process; the invariance of made records and maximum operational access to the results while ensuring the necessary level of reliability of the system). It is noted that the general availability of such information solutions can be achieved by using mobile applications since they uniquely identify each user and use an electronic signature, which significantly simplifies the procedures for obtaining and analyzing the requested information. The paper shows a possible algorithm of information support for medical personnel in diagnosing diseases and prescribing treatment within a single information space. The mechanisms for protecting patients’ data should be improved through economic incentives. The possibility of calculating the market value of information about a person based on their personality is indicated.

We present a task-centered formal analysis of the relative power of several robot designs, inspired by the unique properties and constraints of micro-scale robotic systems. Our task of interest is object manipulation because it is a fundamental prerequisite for more complex applications such as micro-scale assembly or cell manipulation. Motivated by the difficulty in observing and controlling agents at the micro-scale, we focus on the design of boundary interactions: the robot’s motion strategy when it collides with objects or the environment boundary, otherwise known as a bounce rule. We present minimal conditions on the sensing, memory, and actuation requirements of periodic “bouncing” robot trajectories that move an object in a desired direction through the incidental forces arising from robot-object collisions. Using an information space framework and a hierarchical controller, we compare several robot designs, emphasizing the information requirements of goal completion under different initial conditions, as well as what is required to recognize irreparable task failure. Finally, we present a physically-motivated model of boundary interactions, and analyze the robustness and dynamical properties of resulting trajectories.

This chapter discusses business intelligence (BI) dimensions—the degrees of freedom along the most important BI implementation features. BI dimensions are largely set by business dimensions for a given business entity. The existing variety of business dimensions and BI options creates a multidimensionality of choices that encompasses both the information space (information sources, accessibility, efforts, costs) and BI functional space (methods, models, procedures, software products). The most important BI dimensions discussed in the chapter are: internal and external focus; centralized and decentralized deployment; question complexity from simple to complex; functional scope from wide to narrow; level of automation of BI functions; data-driven to insight-driven; and real time to right time. For some of the dimensions, the results of earlier empirical research are provided. A compromise approach to select a BI system configuration is the use of tiered structure of informing environment, where the first, or closest tier would contain the simplest and most often used support tools, with the second (or more) tier providing the less-often used, and usually more advanced, support tools.

One of the conditions for the transition of small enterprises to the digital design is the development of their information space. The said parameter is decisive for flexible production and responsible for increasing competitive advantages and accelerated access to the services market. The presence of digital imagery associated with PLM systems allows for the transition to a virtual type of production in conditions of the new economic framework. As a basis for teamwork, the PLM platform uses uniform rules to combine into a common information space a complete set of technical documentation: 3D models and 2D drawings, technical processes, as well as auxiliary attributes for project components. The electronic version of the documents acts as the main tool in the organization of parallel engineering, product modifications, as well as a means of coordinating all the chain links, from developer to consume.

Information—primarily digital—is an increasingly important commodity in the modern world and the ubiquitous use of smartphones has meant a change in the way people access information and communicate. The virtual information space has become the primary location for threats, aggression and even potentially foreign occupation. The number of electronic services with fluid lines between public and private, professional and amateur; an absence of physical borders; the 24-hour news cycle: this provides new opportunities for virtual attacks. The ancient tool of propaganda takes on a new importance. There is widespread agreement that Russia under Putin has lifted propaganda to new levels—or perhaps back to Soviet levels but with the ubiquity of modern media in addition. Through access to the information space via such a common device as the smartphone, everyone is affected by the new form of information aggression.

We consider the multichannel opportunistic access problem, in which a user decides, at each time slot, which channel to access among multiple Gilbert-Elliot channels in order to maximize the expected transmission throughput, given that the imperfect observation of channel state. The problem can be cast into a RMAB problem, and the index policy is a very popular heuristic which is provably optimal asymptotically and has good empirical performance. For imperfect observation, the traditional approach computing the index policy cannot be directly applied because of nonlinear evolution of state belief information. Based on the fixed point approach, we divide the belief information space into a series of regions and then establish a set of periodic structures of the underlying nonlinear dynamic evolving system, based on which we devise the linearization scheme for each region to establish indexability and compute the Whittle index for each region.

In the contemporary world, the issue of automation of various business processes is being actively solved by implementing information systems in the company. Each information system assumes the presence of users assigned to different functional divisions, depending on the specialization of the system. Big companies implement a large number of information systems, but they do not interact in a single information space, because there is no integration between them. This study analyzed the activities of one of the largest oil and gas companies in Russia. As a result of the survey of the research object, it was revealed that there is currently no information system covering the functionality of integrated planning, as well as the lack of interaction between functional units that develop schedules for various activities. Thus, the selected integrated planning information system has the task not only to collect a schedule of activities in various functional areas into one plan but also to improve the work of the teams involved in drawing up the plan. Thus, the choice of an integrated work planning information system is implemented by analyzing existing information systems on the market in two stages using an assessment of 4 criteria: import dependence, vendor evaluation and experience, functionality and financial parameters, with each of the criteria evaluated on a five-point scale. The result of the research work is the OIS UFAM selected for implementation that meets all the requirements.

The paper offers a visual method for multi-factor assessment of digital transformation components of the industry. The authors consider the aspects of its application in assessing the implementation of digital information systems in the electronic industry and give recommendations for analyzing the existing business processes at an enterprise. The study proposes an approach to the implementation of the electronic digital space system in the enterprise’s information structure, which allows increasing the efficiency of enterprise management processes and simplifying the system for monitoring the state of its activities. The article briefly discussed the main factors of efficiency of introduction and modernization of the enterprise’s digital information space and shows the main difficulties of implementation and the planning principles for the transition to digital transformation in the enterprise. The authors recommend on the development of visual diagrams for multi-factor assessment of digital transformation components taking into account the needs of a particular enterprise.

The ongoing circular and digital transformations of the flower business and its markets are explained with the help of the Information Space Theory. The shift of the information frontier to circular and digital information and the required circular and digital capabilities are critical success factors. Four different types of firms with different business models are explained and discussed. These four types, i.e., Supply Chain Provider, Eco-Friendly Producer, Platform Ecosystem Driver, and Circular Network Orchestrator, will compete on their circular and digital capabilities. The flower business and its markets, with its high-speed pricing, operations, and logistics, are a living laboratory for the circular and digital economy.

The modern stage of society’s development is characterized by the accelerated pace of globalization, rapid development of the world information space, which leads to a quick change in working conditions, public attitudes and beliefs. The upbringing of the younger generation is of particular importance. The article considers objective and subjective factors that generate a special state of individual consciousness, the social basis of destructive behavior. For the purpose of its prevention, it is necessary to strengthen the moral, spiritual and religious values that are common to all peoples and faiths.

The version of solving the relevant problem of increasing the innovative activity of engineering specialties students by organizing the academic environment is proposed. The purpose of the activity is to update future engineers and working citizens’ professional competencies and ensure transparent conditions for evaluating instructional designing results. The ways of implementing the project-oriented training principles in the technical university are presented, which will allow to actively involve students in scientific and innovative activities within the educational process and the performance of qualification work. The authors have proposed a model of the information system based on the use of electronic document flow, implemented, at this stage, for the organization of the activity process. The proposed approaches to engineering education will allow to use of student youth’s potential for the development of innovations by scientific-educational project teams and minimize the costs of ensuring the functioning of single information space of innovation-project activity.
