This paper presents a method of building a 3D model of the geographic location described in Tana French’s novel Faithful Place. Its action is set in Faithful Place, an invented Dublin working-class neighbourhood, based on the street existing in the past and moved to a different area of the city. It can be defined as M. Foucault’s heterotopia and is central to the novel. The work uses the methodology of literary cartography, an interdisciplinary research area developing verifiable techniques for mapping literary spaces, complementing it with 3D modelling. The analysis is performed in three steps. First, the prototype of the fictitious street is identified using the historic map of Dublin. Then, all geographic information from the novel is put on the map to make a conclusion about the most probable location of fictional Faithful Place. Last, a 3D model of the location is built that generates new knowledge about the literary space featured in Faithful Place and enhances the message of the novel.
